Question PLEASE HELP ME!! MY ONEPLUS 10 PRO IS NOW A BRICK - OnePlus 10 Pro

i tried to change the CN rom to global, but in the process the cell phone got bricked, it doesn't turn on, I'm desperate, I only have 2 days with it

Does the device show up using Fastboot enhance?
We need more info to help.
What did you flash?
What exactly did you do? Steps taken and things you've tried since then?
Does it boot to recovery? Can you recover using recovery?

I forget the details at the moment but they are around here. I believe getting out of that brick involves exact timing of plugging in your phone cable to your computer while holding down certain buttons and having the original Rom ready to flash. This applies to other phones too beside the OnePlus 10 pro.

You're referring to edl mode and MSM which we do not have, you'd have to pay for that service from one of the many people who've bought credits.
There Is no freely available MSM tool for the 10 pro or any future OnePlus./ oppo devices.
You may be able to fix it with recovery, Fastboot enhance, Fastboot commands or ultimately RMA or support from OnePlus (remote)
I can't advise because you haven't given me any information.

FIRST THAT EVERYTHING I UNLOCKED THE BOOTLOADER, EVERYTHING WAS GOING WELL UNTIL THE MOMENT. THEN I STARTED FASTBOOT ENHANCE, AT THAT MOMENT I WAS IN FASTBOOT MODE, AND NOW IT WON'T TURN ON, ONLY A RED SIGN APPEARS

Tbh that doesn't even look like a 10 pro.
And why are you writing in all caps?
Very weird thread this

Not sure why that doesn't look like a 10 Pro as I don't have one but if that is true and it's not a real 10 Pro then is it possible you got a clone of a 10 pro? If that is the case then that could be why flashing a real 10 Pro rom messed it up. What was the source of your purchase for this OnePlus 10 Pro? If it is a genuine OnePlus there are different options for fixing it. A fake OnePlus might actually be easier to fix if it is MTK based.
Please avoid using all CAPS as that is considered yelling - which I know you probably feel like right now but just avoid CAPS.

I thought that the purpose of the forum was to help people but it seems that this is not the case. It's a oneplus 10 pro, only the cell phone I took the photo with is very bad, if you like I'll send you other photos of the device, if you want the box too, accessories and invoice so you don't judge. the capital letters are because I am a doctor and I was working (we use capital letters in the medical records for greater comfort when reading)

I apologize, as you precisely mention, I write with capital letters because of my work (I was working when I made the post) I apologize to anyone who offended

You may want to look into this thread about the all in one tool: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ck-twrp-factory-image-stock-recovery.3358711/

Sadly, I had to pay to install the software again, now I have my smartphone back, but the fingerprint sensor no longer works... It seems I'm not the only one this happened to.

Unlocking and rooting

I tried all known methods for rooting but all failed.
Even when you unlock it there is still no TWRP available for the 701.
I asked the devs of twrp on their website to take a look at the 701.
If anyone has more knowledge about progress made on this subject please react here.

Now, if you have fastboot OEM unlock,
,
Then perhaps you can pull your boot.img, separate zImage from Ramdisk, modify ro.secure=0, add RW comments, repack your boot.img, fastboot flash boot boot.img, then install BB and SU.
Just a thought.

Sad part the "Fastboot OEM unlock" won't work cause Asus has theirs encrypted. You have to use their unlocking tool to unlock your bootloader. Given fact it can work, been trying it for 2 days now and stupid app won't unlock my bootloader. Read my S/N may not be registered in their database so emailed them complaining about another service that doesn't work.

They'll get around to it. Heck, when I had to turn in my A701 to service center, they didn't even know it had been released Tried telling me it was a "leaked and illegal" tablet.
Good luck with the bootloader mate, but root after that should be pretty straight forward. (fingers crossed)
I think that unlocking bootloader is bad idea. After that the warranty will be void...

Yeah well tried to call them and got the usual "just send it back" well not waiting 2-3 weeks just get to get it back. Since there is something wrong with the charge port anyways just gonna send it back to amazon to have new one in couple days. Gotta love the return policy.

Um thats just lame excuse from companies to force us to keep their crap on the devices we purchase. All my devices are rooted and unlocked and not one has died yet. After going through and disabling 2/3rds of crap on this tablet now I want that few hundred megabytes back in space. For as much crap I disabled I wouldn't be surprised im more close to 1gb back.

What a morons sometimes. Strange because I had the issue with the connection between dock and tablet where the connection between the 2 for a split moment was gone when adjusting the tilt angle, I got an immediate replacement. This problem I guarantee you we will see more often showing up here.
And what the rooting concerns: when the TWRP devs have their version for the 701 finished, it will be not that hard anymore. Just takes some time before that is done.
And for the flaming thing sorry, but I don't like to get hit by childish behavior when just reporting and next to that by a guy that is probably half my age and just comes looking in here (look @ date I joined xda lol)
Thanks for removing that post.

Hate returns. Took 3 months to get a refund. (welcome to Russia). Honestly, it was all due to rush jobs on CWM for the 510 and 700's. Bozos were in a rush to be the first, and used the "fstab's" from the wrong device. Bricked several tabs before I put a stop to it. Basically ruined the emmc memory. Mainboard replacements.
Well, I know folks are itchy to get things going. What starts as a joke, turns into flaming.
You folks always remember, takes 2 people for an argument. You all have the "Report Post" button on the toolbar. Please use it.
Honestly, I expect you folks to help each other out. Makes for a better forum.
Carry On!

well next time you may want to think twice before asuming someone younger than you. guess i am to young to know where the movie that reference came from. i already have the boot.img altered and ready to try. also dont ask for it, havent tested it yet so going to have to wait till amazon gives me new one. it really isnt hard to alter, moscow already gave instructions.
Update Amazon has shipped my new tablet so may be here tomorrow (i hope) if my new boot.img works and gives me root then I will pass it on, sadly though it won't be in a format in which you can just use a custom recovery, you have to flash it manually but if it works I will post how to flash it (all i need to remember is which tools to zip up in the entire SDK) LOL.

It is VERY lame. I sold my TF700 because of the slow I/O causing lag that I couldn't live with. Of course I had the bootloader unlocked, so the warranty was void. I divulged that info in the eBay auction for the most part (I didn't say the warranty was void because I didn't know that was the case. Ignorant, I know). Anyway, the new owner of my TF700 emailed me after a couple months asking me why ASUS was charging them $280 for fixing the faulty touchscreen. They said ASUS says it's not under warranty because of the unlocked bootloader. I felt bad for the new owners, having to fork out the money. They're $800 into the TF700 w/dock at this point.
So I would say: Think twice before unlocking the bootloader on the TF701, when custom-recovery even comes out for it.
Personally, with my TF701 that I ordered on newgg today, I am going to leave the bootloader locked for awhile. I can live with the stock ROM, hopefully with root access. Maybe after a few months I'll unlock the bootloader. It would be nice to do it in a way that didn't void the warranty. What an asinine policy by ASUS. There is no way the unlocked bootloader led to the touchscreen failing on my old TF700....no way!

Gee thanks for the advice. Lets just say for practicality so you know when I got my Xoom 2 days later I rooted it. Couple years later works fine just slow now so time for new one. I have 701 right now and its blazing fast.
2nd let me shine some advise for you. For starters you can't "root" a device with a locked bootloader. Requires altering the boot.img to tell system to boot up differently and allow you access to the "restricted" file system. To access the flash portion of that requires you to open it up. One way or another you will have to unlock the bootloader to root the device. I myself just want root, I want to just remove the unwanted junk and free up that wasted space and install ad blocking software.
What each person chooses to do with the root is up to them, regardless if Asus wants to void the warranty or not. Just need little common sense and know how to use google to figure what you want to do. If your to cautious to do that then I highly suggest not touching it and leave it as is. To me its never a "think twice" once you root and have full access to the product you bought, it makes the device so much better to use and gets rid of unwanted bloatware. Especially the ad blocking apps which helps on phone contracts with capped data helps keep your data way down since ads use a lot of data.

Your statements sound completely wrong to me. Of course you can root without unlocking the bootloader. I have rooted two phones and my TF201, all without unlocking; I rooted the TF201 soon after buying it, and only unlocked the bootloader more than a year later.
Rooting doesn't force you to forfeit warranty service, but unlocking does. (Note that you can unroot a device before sending it in for service, but you can't "relock" an unlocked device.) So it makes perfect sense as Snake suggests to hold off on unlocking, at least until you are sure all the hardware in your device is working perfectly.

You can use a windows app called Virtuous Ten Studio (created by Diamondback ) Senior Mod and RD. It'll unpack your boot.img to allow editing ramdisk. Heck, it'll also de-odex, decompile apks with built in support for most API levels in a windows UI. No need to mess with apktools and such.
Free version in the XDA forums. Think you have to install latest MS .Net though. Can't remember. Give it a go. If you're a ROM cooker, it's a must.
An unlocked bootloader is usually 90% of the battle when getting full root (full means system RW access). Locked bootloaders is why rooting can involve finding exploits, which is why so many root apps are out there. Not saying what worked on the Acer 500/501, 510/511 and 700/701 tabs will work for the TF701, but it's worth investigating.

Ha, I use a dual boot (win7 and Ubuntu). Old lappy didn't run too well with VM. Need any help, shoot me a PM. Will share what I know.
There's a few other things you can do im Ramdisk, like increase read ahead cache, run a service to update lto.dat automatically (GPS) and a few others.
I only boot to win7 when I want to unpack/repack and boot images when I do kernel builds. (I'm lazy)

HTC one enigma that every geek would like to solve

Hi guys,
After a couple of weeks trying to solve my problem, I couldn't help but submit it to you all. What a shame!
I received an old HTC one m7 by a friend who is so rich he can afford to give away such a smartphone he gave up using it since he has a problem a few months since he bought it. The phone stopped working, so he asked a friend to repair it so he could use it again. Well, the guy who modded the phone (I don't know who he is) said the phone could not be reset, and he should have modded it with a cooked ROM.
And here we are. He flashed a ROM I still can't identify, with an improbable CWM recovery in Thai language. This ROM is jelly bean based, it's widely bugged and speakers don't work. Since my friend couldn't use the phone to make calls anymore, he switched to an iPhone (heart attack!) and abandoned this amazing phone.
Now I have the phone, and I'm going crazy trying to find a solution to bring the phone back to it's old glory. Since I'm a poor owner of Sony devices, I have no idea of how to mod an HTC, and unfortunately many guides on the internet expect that every single person on this planet knows what they're talking about.
Here are my troubles: I don't know how to check if the phone is S-off (and I have no idea of what it means) or what is its CID (what's that?!). I can't flash a twrp recovery, and I can't speak Thai, so I can't use the current recovery. I don't know if the phone is branded. Bootloader is different from the ones whom I find the screenshots on the internet.
Can anyone solve this enigma?
Here are some screenshots.

everyone on here is going to ask you this question, and so am I, we need your fastboot getvar all without the IEMI and serial number, but as you probably don't know how to use that, then do this for now:
hold down the power button and select restart, whilst the phone is shutting down, hold down the volume down button, don't let go until the phone comes back on, should come back on to what is known as the bootloader screen, please take a picture of this and post it.

Also tell us what your phone's original Model ID is. It will be written on the back end, at the lower side.
That way we will get the idea of your query from which region the phone was made to work and on which network.
Because seems like it's firmware was converted.
Here it is! Does anyone know Thai? Or Chinese? Or whatever the hell is this?

Does it sound legit?
I'm gonna try to obtain the getvar thing by googling some guides.

That's Chinese. And does not look like the HTC One M7 bootloader screen. The ROM also did not look like stock Sense 5 (bits of it did, but that might just be HTC apps installed from the Play Store). Get the fastboot getvar all results, but for now my suspicion is that it might be a very nice looking clone.

Well, it's probably a clone. I've just found this on the internet, I've checked the battery and... It's 1600MAh!!
Damn, those Chinese guys take cloning pretty seriously!!
Enigma solved!
I'm wondering if there is any chance either to flash a ROM or to update it, because speakers and Bluetooth don't work.
It's an HDC clone.

[WARNING] Exercise Caution Flashing T-Mobile Variant

Hey everyone!
Not to cause any fear mongering, but as we get closer to unlocks coming back from OnePlus, I'd like to make sure that everyone exercises some caution.
According to what little information we have we know that the Modem is likely signed by T-Mobile.
Everyone is eager to try to get the Global ROM working on the T-Mobile version and we'll do our best! But please exercise caution. As of now we do not have any factory images, or stock images for the T-Mobile variant.
If you softbrick your phone, it may be a few days before it can be fixed!
Flashing an unsigned modem may result in your phone not being able to function properly from a network standpoint!
If you rely on your phone on a daily basis, please do not "Guinea pig flash." No one wants their new device nonoperational.
As always, do what you want to do! Just please be wary, and know that there are risks until we can properly assess the differences!
Is there a program oneplus uses to flash firmware? I've always been familiar with LG and Samsung devices, but anyway I know we can most likely flash anything that isn't signed with different RSA keys. Don't know if oneplus is similar. Submitted for my unlock bin at midnight so I should be receiving mine soon. I'll try and pull as much information as I can so we can compare.

This phone uses the standard fastboot to flash.
This is like the Nexus, Pixel and Essential phones.
Typically you cannot flash to a locked partition unless the omg file is signed correctly.
That means that you will typically get a failure message if you can't flash a particular partition.

The only one that I'm aware of is MsmDownloadTool. However, I haven't seen much mention of it in context to the 6T. I know it was used for the OnePlus 6. But I believe it's more used to simply recover from soft bricks.
There is so much false information in the OnePlus site forums. People telling others that once they unlock they'll be able to flash the international version without a problem. I posted that they can't rush into anything and to stop spreading false info or people are going to end up with bricks.

Very much so. I mean maybe things will work just fine.... But it is not wise to ever just jump into something. Like mentioned, we don't even have factory or stock images for the T-Mobile variant. Something goes wrong and you don't know what you're doing and you're dealing with a brick until development catches up. I know everyone is eager, but people need to be smart about it too.
Once I get my unlock token if things haven't already been tested I'm more than willing to volunteer my device as it's not my primary or even secondary device. Unless u know ur way around fastboot adb dd etc pls do not start randomly doin things to ur device as has been stated it could be days before we have a way for everyone to restore their devices should something go wrong.. Everyone needs to be patient as of right now logix is the only one with an unlocked tmo variant..as such plz be patient till we have more concrete info to share.

Yeps! I should have mine Monday morning, assuming the full 7 days from OP. We'll need to prepare a stock flashable image set before we do anything. I'll be doing a lot of testing as I have a Pixel 3 XL as well to fall back on. I have a few theories thus far on how things will go, but that also assumes that the -only- difference is the modem partition.

I may have mine Sunday or Monday.
What about extracting the partition images from the payload.bin and flashing everything but the modem in fastboot?
Edit: if you're rooted and have twrp couldn't you potentially make a backup for if it doesn't work?

Once again, we have no backups/stock images/factory images currently. If you were to do that and the device doesn't work, then you are stuck waiting for someone to provide a flashable solution to fix your paperweight.

Just wanted to mention that if you are able to flash the global modem. I have the dual sim from 1+ using both a TMobile and a Verizon sim with no issues on data, sms, mms, calls (verizon had to have them enable CDMA-less)
Perfect service on both now in Phoenix, Arizona.

I rarely touch my Pixel 3 XL, honestly. The OnePlus 6T just feels better in the hand. The in display finger print reader is awesome and saves time of having to pick up the phone constantly, and the notch on the XL drives me through the roof. I thought I'd get used to it, but every time my eyes travel to it I get annoyed lol.
It's not a bad device, though. I just find myself always picking up the OnePlus 6T.

Yeah that's pretty much my take on that phone why I never actually got.
Hi folks, it is interesting following your developments, I wish you the best of luck! I bought the global unlocked version directly from OnePlus, and I am actually curious if I will be able to go the other way haha, Flash the T-Mobile modem onto my global device. My only reason for doing so is I am on T-Mobile but I experienced a lot of data dropouts, phone loses connection then usually reconnects after 5 or 10 seconds but one time actually required a reboot. Was wondering, if it's even possible to flash the T-Mobile modem, might this help my issue. And would I potentially be able to keep the updated ROMs from OnePlus but running with the T-Mobile modem.
No one knows currently. Until we have unlocked T-Mobile variants, the only thing we can really do is speculate.

Not sure if the APN would have anything to do with it but did you try using T-Mobiles BYOD APN settings over the autonomic one the phone sets up?

How To Guide How not to guide

Well we all know now that nothing is changing no developers coming and the reason is fastboot flashing unlock you basically make a copy of your android for not being harmed and even google says for full acces you need fastboot oem unlock that's why viper ain't working everything you drop there because real but not really real because you can't touch the system fastboot flashing unlock enjoy your fake root and don't forget forgot to load back your new features like zram monet who is looking awesome and at the moment for all stock users you know it looks like oos 11 for all you rooters don't forget to turn oem off or factory wipe after loading see screenshot how to get new features like 1hz and you can get your zram back and even your net flash when you leave oem nothing will happen you will go back to your real system where nothing can't be change i will post screenshots too maybe you all can figure it out to get real root but i don't think oppo will let you happy hunting
Fastboot oem unlock has been deprecated for years, OEMs just continued to add support. Fastboot flashing unlock does the same thing.
i see you're still whining instead of being constructive.

Seriously sell your phone and stop crying go buy a pisel. You will find that the new erofs partition coming in a13 will be the same across the board on all models eventually. It's just in ours early

They abanned him on all OnePlus tg threads so he went here to vent after doing it in 5 groups. Lol
Someone writes that oneplus 10 pro will never have modding support but then if things are really like this why did oneplus release the kernel source codes a few weeks after the presentation of the phone? this means you just have to wait for someone to get interested and start working on the oneplus 10 pro, if the kernel source codes are released it means we can start with support for our phone

Kernel source has nothing to do with the new partition that is read only. Also, the kernel sources released under oppo have been severally lacking. i have talked to kernel devs and they don't want to touch it because it's such a mess.

To paraphrase a famous quote from a certain Adam Sandler movie....
"Sir.... what you've just posted is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent message was there anything that could even be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this forum is now dumber for having read it. Everyone seems totally stressed and aggressive.
We're all in the same boat.
Bottom line here is that Android is dying, it's been a free for all for too long..
The calling in the bill and there's nothing any of us can do about it.
Screw the pixel. My next phone will be an iPhone, if it's to be a closed source device then I'll be getting one from a company who knows how to do it right.

The way I see it is like this. The op of this post is a troll. Don't give in to his garbage post. I for one will still stick to android. Android isn't really dying they are adapting. Will we always have root? Yes. Custom roms not so much, but that hasn't stopped developers before. Someone eventually will come along and make magic work, just like many have before with locked bootloader's. What OnePlus has done is wrong against the many users around the world, but again Android will always still be Android and much more ahead than apple will ever be. The OnePlus 10 pro phone may have changes that isn't the same, but again look at the bright side. We still have possibilities, and possibilities don't just happen over night like the cry baby op who just thinks that he is owed development because he bought the phone.

Question Has anyone else been able to solve this (Stuck in bootloader)

Hi,
Hope you're all having a nice day.
I have tried everything that every google search has come up with and I cannot seem to reinstall the original rom.
When I try to use miflash it says partition not found, which is an error I am seeing a lot.
The device does show up on cmd fastboot devices, so hopefully there must be a way to get around this but I have no idea.
I'd appreciate it so much if anyone could offer any help, I'm completely lost.
I'm currently stuck on the bootloader on the first image.
Thanks

That's not a Xiaomi sweet phone. Redmi Note 10 Pro (sweet) don't have rounded display
Not sure, it says sweet on the picture, that's why I included it.

Did some googling, and figured that @Laptapper and @jnsson were right. There might be a chance you got swindled. I did some googling and found a few other phones that matched that design in the photo (at least from what is visible). The following is a list of devices with a VERY similar design:
-Honor X40 5G
-Vivo X70 Pro Plus
-Google Pixel 6 Pro
Can't say for certain if these are that phone, but it's worth looking into them just to be sure.
Where did you buy it from?
Thanks so much guys for offering to help!!
I bought it second hand a few years back online in Japan.

Also, I checked my list again, and the only one that it could be of the three is the google pixel 6 or 6 pro. The others were made this year and thus don't fit the criteria, but it was only last year the phone was released so there's a chance it's none of these.

I've figured out what phone it was, but you were right, I broke it more. Now the phone will not turn on and is recognised in device manager as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM30). It also comes up on miflash as COM30.
There's a big gaping hole in my foot right now and my apartment smells like gunpowder...
