Question Phone is extremely slow. No RAM available. - POCO M4 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 11S (Opal), 11T (India)

Hello.
I'm looking for some help with this Poco M4 PRO 5G that is EXTREMELY slow. It's the 64GB/4GB version with the official MIUI 14 european ROM (but this also happened on MIUI 13).
The phone behaves as if it was a 512MB RAM phone. As soon as you switch with multitasking to any another app everything on the background is killed and if you switch back the app has to start again. When you press the home button the phone has to reload the launcher because it was killed too (a loading circle appears before showing the home screen) and inside any app the performance is also pretty bad.
I hard reset not long ago and the phone behaved well during the first days but it gets slower and slower until it gets to this state again and I can't keep reseting the phone every few weeks.
I don't think any of the apps installed are unusual (whatsapp, facebook, etc...) and there is 15GB of free space left which I think is plenty.
When I check the memory page on Activity Launcher it shows there is no RAM left ("libre=0"):

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Among the app memory usage the only one that seems to use a lot is the Android OS:
This is not normal behavior, is it? I understand a 4GB phone won't be able to have many live apps on RAM but not being able to hold a single app on the background and being extremely slow all the time doesn't seem right.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Ditch the trashware; WhatsApp, fb etc.
No social media, sales or banking apps should ever be installed. Browser login only... if you insist on using these.
4G of ram isn't that much today and that trashware is sucking up your resources...

Widget issues, has this ever happened to you?

Has this ever happened to you? It was an accident the first time it happened but, I seem to be able to stack widgets. I start by long pressing on an empty spot on any page, just like you would normally do. Then (have no idea how it happened the first time) before the widget list loads if I quickly flip to the next page where that spot on the screen is already filled, pick my widget, when it loads up, it comes on top of the widget already there. Sometimes it will load behind the one that is there, as was the case the first time it happened, but the next time I rebooted it showed up on top of my calendar. If I move it off of the calendar I can't put it back on, it has to be deleted and stacked in the same manor.
I have to say I really like the feature/bug/whatever. It's a space saver, both widgets are still fully functional and I like the option of being able to save some screen space like in this instance. I can still see my calendar just fine to be honest I don't have a problem with it at all, hope it doesn't go away! I am not really a fan of spreading everything out over 6 or 7 or 12 pages *cough*iphone*cough* and that helps me be able to keep a much better (for me) 3 page set up.
I was mostly curious if anyone else knew about this, and/or maybe if your like me and maybe you'd like to save some real estate it could just be a handy tip!

[Q] Battery drains over night, BetterBatterySTats... stats

Hi there, until a few days ago I had great battery life with my Razr i, but I noticed that now it drains about 10 to 15% over night.
So I get BetterBatteryStats on the store but I am not really familiar with it, so I'm asking for your advices.
I can see that for a 7h25 period of time, my phone has been in Deep Sleep for 6h7 and Awake for 1h18.
1h18 is quite a long time so I guess the lead is good, but I can't really understand wich app is causing the issue.
Here are the sceernshots (next time I'll resize them :cyclops :

Ok as an update, wl1271_wake seems to be wifi activity, so I guess one of my apps is dealing with several transfers at night (1h08).
Any way to identify the app causing this ?
I thought about an app that monitors wifi and mobile data network activity, do you know a good one ?
Google now is disabled on my phone, but maps is not (I use it every day).
I don't remember having installed a new app or updated any app the day the issue appeared...
Another update :
What bothers me is the line "GTALK_ASYNC_CONN_com.google.android.gsf.gtalkservice.AndroidEndpoint", Google talk is disabled on my phone (and have been before the issue happens), any way to prevent this service to run ?
I guess it's included in "Google Services" and market/maps will not work anymore if I disabled it...
Anyways, not sure if the issue come from there as it's written to have ran for only 1m9 during the night.

Google + 30% (or so) cpu usage.

Hi there.
I recently bought a moto x (att, although I use it in Argentina, should have chosen tmo for bootloader unlock I guess...).
From time to time (after some reboots or after a night of being in the charger, with wifi normally), I find it kind of hot.
Using OS monitor I saw that Google+ was using around 30% cpu (didn't notice if there were notifications or something).
When I open google+ it is kinda slow and normally has unread notifications in the bell.
If I swipe it off the recent app list, it gets fixed, until the next time it happens.
I tried wiping g+ data to no avail.
I now have set better battery stats and watchdog lite to monitor it more closely.
My phone is rooted on 4.4 and with xposed framework (attached picture for modules). I have now left only gravity box enabled just for the sake of it.
Any ideas? Googling around I saw some old posts of people with this issue but I think it was from 2012

do you use g+ for photo backup? That would be my first guess, though it shouldn't drain forever, only until photos are uplaoded.
I use it, but if I take photos, I don't see that much cpu use, I think.
Then again, I am using the option for smaller quality, if the phone does the conversion...
I will run some tests

It was not location sharing or auto backup.
No idea what it was, but it is gone after removing the updates from the app and returning to the version that comes with att's 4.4 rom

Question Out of storage issue

On my S21 Ultra, I'm showing to be 98% full. when I go to look at storage, I see this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
As you can see, nothing much is showing up as using that memory other than the "Other" area. How can I dig down into the "Other" area and see what's there that I can get rid of?
In the event that it makes a difference, the model number is SM-998U1; Android version 12; One UI versoin 4.0; Security patch level is Nov. 1, 2021.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Just about any File Explorer in Play Store will assist in identifying the files.
Porn...guaranteed you have filled up your phone with porn
You got porn brain 4 sure!
Possibly items in secure folder. Let's say you have an app like telegram app in secure folder and it has been saving 100s of videos.
LOL!
Actually, I've used a couple of file managers, and I can see what's there, but it doesn't seem to add up. What I'd really like is a tool that would show me intalled apps, along with the amount of storage they're using, including their data and cache values.
Settings
Apps
Change sort order (Your apps .............. (sort icon))
Size
Lists apps in size order with size underneath. The size shown includes data/cache.
For example, my first one is Spotify 2.41GB which is mostly cache data as it keeps some songs on device
Thanks for that. I'll keep it in mind for later. Last night, I finally threw up my hands and factory reset my phone. I figure it'll take me about a week to get MOST of the things back the way I like them. In the meantime however, my storage is MUCH better than it was.

Battery suddenly drops to 1%

Hello everyone, today I woke-up with my phone pretty much dead, with only 1% of battery. The weird thing is that before bed, the battery percentage was around 70ish percent.
Here's a screenshot of the battery usage:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Some details to help me figure it out the issue:
Auto optimize daily is on.
Auto restart at set times is on (it restarted around the time that the battery percentage drops to the floor).
Adaptative power saving is off.
Background usage limits is configured properly.
Any help will be appreciated, thanks in advance!
it's possible the Google services was running (updates and such) and used up a lot of the battery. Google being the OS developer tends to run quite a lot of things in the back without users knowing, and this is quite normal. As to draining such large amount, is your location in a poor data coverage area? if you are, then the phone likely was using extra battery to strengthen the signal. Note that even with wifi connection, data is still used for some activities by the phone.
if this keeps persisting then Google is probably not the culprit and you'll want to report the issue right away to samsung using samsung members app > get help > error report. just be sure to see the drain and immediately report.
Also, I've seen some users install 3rd party apps to track in finer detail on what is using the battery the most. I myself do not know as I don't use it, but you can easily find some recommendations on Reddit i think.
