Fastboot won't prompt for RSA key - Sony Xperia 10 Questions & Answers

I got an Xperia 10 to flash /e/ OS on. I've got the bootloader unlocked. I had dev options turned on and accepted the RSA key, and tried to flash a recovery. It didn't seem to go through so I rebooted the phone. Now it won't prompt to authorize USB debugging, I deleted the RSA key on computer thinking maybe it was that. I've booted up usb with mAid and tried to get it to prompt for an RSA key on the computer with no luck. I've even tried going to a different computer altogether. I've also done some of the basic commands, kill-server, start-server, reconnect. I've reset the phone twice. One thing I've noticed is that usb debugging stays on even after a factory reset. Do I try locking and unlocking the bootloader again ? I'm not sure what else to do, has anyone else encountered this and overcame it?

Can't seem to get adb to detect the phone -> so no unlocked bootloader

Or.. I've installed the usb driver package from LG. And I can go to the power off-> charger mode, and get contact with the "modem device", or whatever it is they're using, for a short while. But that won't help me get the bootloader unlock routine to work, it just gets stuck in "download mode!!!!", presumably because it needs to do some weird online routine as well, that I didn't know about, or it needs to download something via gprs, or ... and so on. And in phone mode, the serial number/device doesn't show up. (I tried removing the memory card, on the off chance that having the "mass driver" device turning up would mess something up, but no luck.
Anyway. So is there a trick here, to get adb to detect the devices, or to make the "modem device" mode have precedence, or something of that sort? I'm a bit reluctant to try disabling some of the devices, even if that would work, in case there's something else I don't know about being run half-way as well.. will the mode change on reboot, and I'll get stuck with a brick..?
Have anyone else had the same thing? I can run the pc-suite and the lg support tool just fine. But it seems that what happens is I'm able to have the adb tool detect the serial number for a very short time, and then it disappears and I can't connect to it again. Therefore, no bootloader unlock tool init..
I had the same problems back a while ago.
It got solved on the 262-000 Bootloader unlock thread.
I think you need the newest adb and fastboot drivers
and disable the modem in system settings of your pc,
but search for the mentioned thread and look it up there
Hope you get it working

Phone locked at logo boot, usb debugging disabled

Hi all,
I rooted my phone and unclocked bootloader.
My rom is a stock rom.
I managed to install CWM recovery using lg-optimus-4xhd-recovery-v1.0.apk but something happened.
I rebooted my phone in recovery mode and it is always locked to LG logo.
Pressing Volume up and power I can see normal android system recovery, wiping cache and factory reset don't work.
I haven't usb debugging enable so my computer can't see the phone connected with usb cable, and it's impossible for me flashing the phone with kdz rom methods.
What can I do?
Thx in advance for your answers
No one can help me?
Flashing with kdz results in "phone was not found", is there a way to resolve? I've tried with ubuntu, OS (adb) only see my phone if usb debugging is enabled and it isn't, and with a laptop running win8, installing LG drivers and so on, nothing works.
This is salvagable
If you can get the stock recovery mode, all is not lost, all of the important bits are still functioning.
Power down. Hold VolDn and insert the USB cable. If you get the Software Update screen with a green icon you CAN recover the phone. It may require a battle with Windows to get it to play nice, Windows and USB is always a hit or miss affair; but the phone is ok if that screen appears. Do not use the VolUP + Power LG Recovery mode, there isn't a known tool for that in the wild.
I don't normally run Windows and the couple of times I have booted it to do this it required some hassle and usually skipping the nice way since I had never installed the bundled LG Desktop stuff before things went wrong. So just do what I did, pick the Emergency mode that requires inputting the IMEI instead of letting it detect your phone and then let it fix things for you.

Many thanks for your answer, I resolved the problem late at night, yes, after a hard battle with windows.
I installed windows 7 32 bit, I tried a lot of Lg drivers, 3.8.1 maybe the best, after inserting the USB cable with SW Update screen some LG peripherals were recognized but the result in KDZ_FW_UPD was always "phone was not found", then I tried connecting USB cable with the Phone in Android recovery mode ( power & Vol up), and OS added a couple more peripherals, and attempting again with SW Upgrade mode worked.

Galaxy Note5 N910T won't keep USB debugging checked after reboot

I've done a lot of googling so far, and I haven't seen anyone having this problem yet.
This phone is not yet rooted, and is still running the stock rom and recovery. I haven't been able to get to first base and unlock the bootloader with it because once I boot into Odin/download/fastboot mode, ADB can't see the device anymore.
Although I can turn USB debugging on and verify that ADB can see and list my device, if I reboot, and return to my Developer options menu, it will not still be checked. The problem, I believe, that's creating is that rebooting into Odin mode means that ADB can no longer see my device, because USB debugging has already been turned off. I don't think an app is doing this, because booting into safe mode, turning on USB debugging, and then rebooting into safemode again yields the same result: USB debugging has still been turned off. From the command prompt issuing "adb reboot fastboot" just yields a reboot back to the normal home screen.
EDIT: Upon further inquiry, do I even need USB debugging to get TWRP installed? According to:
http://www.cyanogenmods.org/forums/topic/install-twrp-recovery-samsung-android-using-odin/
they make no mention of USB debugging, only OEM Unlock which does not appear in the Developer Options for my phone...

USB Debugging Issues

I am on the stock, rooted rom. I just got the OTA. But I need to flash reflash the stock recovery since I am rooted and on TWRP. But I can't seem to get USB debugging to work. I've tried rebooting both my PC and my phone, different ports, tried enabling and disable USB debugging in developer options, even tried resetting to default settings. But adb devices still shows blank on my PC. Any idea what is the issue? I usually got a pop up to show that ADB is being requested and I will have to agree to it but I cant seem to get that popup now.

I had similar problem before. Try this, with no Connection to PC, revoke usb debug authorisations, and restored default in deverloper option, setbupn USB debug again then connect to PC . if that don't work , try rebooting pc

trying to get OTA of 20X from 20Q

formerly rooted H811. I unrooted with supersu and attempted to relock the bootloader. But It didn't take. It appears to be in some in between galaxy.
I get into fastboot, but "fastboot devices" comes up empty.
Would like to lock to update to 20X. No PC, only Mac.
LG Bridge sees USB, but not phone.
Help appreciated.
You do realize locking the bootloader will perform factory reset and wipe your data. Are you trying fastboot through MAC, not sure how it is different from PC so if that is causing the issue can't help much.
Is usb debugging enabled, and you have given permission in the pop-up that pops up on phone screen when you connect it to MAC/Computer the very first time? It is possible you missed that permission pop-up the first time and now permission is denied permanently. You may wanna uninstall and reinstall LG driver/device, connect phone again, and look for that permission pop-up on phone screen and allow it. Try connecting usb cable in different usb port too, that might make the pop-up appear again. Also, remember if bootloader is altered or you got custom recovery, phone will possibly soft brick and you will need to use LG Bridge or LG UP with phone in download mode to reflash kdz. Hope this helps.
Edit: For the permission pop-up to show, the phone needs to be turned on, be in mtp mode, and usb debugging to be enabled. Then once you have given permission, you use adb command to reboot into bootloader or i think with phone off, hold the volume down button while you connect to usb cable and not let go of the volume down button till phone is in fastboot menu.
