Question No OEM Unlock options - SM-X200NZAAEUA - Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 (2021)

As the title says, I'm missing OEM Unlock options on my SM-X200 Device.
Does anyone have any advice on how to proceed with unlocking my bootloader?
No options presented in download mode too. (using either the volume+usb method, and the `adb reboot bootloader` method)
I've also tried the other methods for Samsung devices (enabling usb debug, disabling auto-time, setting the clock back, disabling auto-updates)
The tablet is set up with no accounts (FRP lock is off)

Not sure if this is the exact reason...but your Google Play Services is really old.
Update all Google/Samsung apps, reboot and see if it appears
I'm assuming your region's firmware allows you to unlock, but I'd double check about that as well.

You say you are setup with NO ACCOUNTS. Without a Google Account, there can be no FRP. That is why there is no OEM option.

Thanks for the reply, good spot! I've updated that now, but alas - no luck.
I'm within the UK/EU - I'm not sure where to look to find out that information.
I have other Samsung devices which have no problem with OEM Unlocking through the Dev Menu.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, no accounts. I've factory reset, and begun the setup process again with Google + Samsung accounts. (FRP Enabled), but I still don't get an option in the Dev Menu for OEM Unlocking.

trying to remove bootloader doesn't work!

I've tried several times (several different versions latest is the last version is 14.4.a.0.157) to remove the bootloader, I think its because I removed the bootloader earlier and than put it back (did that with the flashtool) on but the fastboot/phone still recognizes the earlier unlock because it hasn't been put back the correct way.

I think you dont know what you are actually doing. You are trying to unlock the bootloader. If you somehow really "remove" it, your device wont be able to boot.So I will assume you mean unlocking.
First, make sure your bootloader can be unlocked.Dial: *#*#7378423#*#*; then go to “Service info -> Configuration -> Rooting Status” and check if the “Bootloader unlock allowed” says yes. If the “no” answer will be displayed then you will not be able to unlock the bootloader of your device.
When you finish all the operations on the Sony site, you will receive an email with the unlock code.replace the word KEY with your code.
fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY
From the screenshot I think you are not typing the correct key in there.
Note:You have to be sure that you have proper ADB connection with your device.Be sure you have enabled ADB debugging and have fastboot and adb drivers on your PC.

I already did it I had to make a folder(Flashtool\custom\mydevices\(device id)) and a text file in it (ulcode.txt) with just the code in it in flashtool and it worked, and I do now what I'm doing I just used the wrong word. You don't want to know how many times I already did the above.
I have the exact same issue, driving me nuts. haha I am now back on stock installed via pc companion but i have no working nfc and can not get into stock recovery. If I root the device dual recovery is still installed.

Can't Install TWRP-3.0.0-0 on Moto X 2ng Gen (2014)

Hello!
Well, i just got my hands on a Moto X 2014, already updated to Android MM 6.0.
Was trying to install TWRP through fastboot, but i keep getting this message:
"FAILED <data transfer failure <Unknown error>>"
I'm sure i have sdk tools properly installed, drivers downloaded, fastboot mode on the device working properly as well, and an unlocked device... So, i'm kinda new at this, and i'd appreciate your help very much!
Thanks!

Did you do that ?
First of all we need to enable Developer Option, USB Debugging and check 'Enable OEM Unlock' in Developer Options.

The device was already unlocked when I got it. Debugging and OEM unlocking checked since I started the whole process... Still don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Well, after a couple days i managed to install TWRP 3.0. I don't specifically know what was the problem, but i freed up some space on the device, changed USB cable and USB port on the computer, and.. that did the trick.
Thank you all so much for your replies!

Samsung N960N Cannot remove Password

So here is my issue.
While testing some thing. i did a remote wipe from my samsung account.
Now everytime the phone turns on its ask for password saying phone is lost found. I have tried couple of things. but it seems. It just wont remove or take any password. while it gives me the option to put a password. just doesnt like any password i put in.
I have a N960N korean 512gb Note 9
N960NKSU2ARI9_N960NOKR2ARI9_SKC - Firmware i flashed. Had to go to Binary 2 as . No options were available for Binary 1
*** looks like this might be what some ppl online call it. Please call me fix.**
No warranty in Canada. So out of luck.
I have tried wiping it and reseting it. But every time the phone starts up its ask for password. I try my password that i use. but doesnt work.
Mind you this is not google account . It looks like Samsung account password.
I cannot delete it.
I cannot change it.
Things i have tried.
1. Factory Binary. - Didn't help. Once i do and go about flashing stock ROM phone goes in a boot loop. I have tried flashing one file at a time. after flashing the binary. Then tried BL AP and Home CSC or Just CSC . phone goes in boot loop.
2. Then tried flashing different firmware from different variant - didn't work
3. then Finally. TWRP. Tried reset wipe cache. and adding OS. - Stock OS wont go. have to flash the whole thing. Then now trying Dr Ketans Rom. but same i can flash it. but as soon as the phone turns on . Its ask for password.
Also - I have a friend of a friend who works at Samsung Repair center here and they even tried to do what they call a kill flash. where it basically deletes samsung account and google account. but no available.
BTW my OEM and FRP Lock are off.
4. Someone Here suggested something about a EFS file. which i am not sure about.
Somehow this password seems like a Gate . where i can hop on flash and do anything inside. no issue. But in order to get the phone working i need the password. other wise the phone always boot up to that password screen and it wont let me bypass. I have tried all passwords that i know or use but non work. I am open for suggestions. I cannot send it for warranty as this is an International device and i am in canada . They wont warranty here. secondly i just lost my warranty by root.
Was this the kind of Lock/Wipe you did from the Samsung site? It seems like whatever you chose to set that PIN to, will be the one to unlock your phone.

Hmm not sure, but I would try logging into your Samsung account (from your computer) and resetting your password. Then try that password on your phone when prompted. If still no luck, try going through the Samsung account (where you did a remote wipe) so you can do a remote unlock.
In the end your passwords should work though... otherwise this situation is no different than a 'found' phone (which we can't help crack).

I asked a question on the forum 4pda.
Q: how to save user data?
A: Neither. The only way is twrp, but at the moment it does not support decoding Data on 9k, only on 8.1.0.
I believe that only factor resets possible.
I did a data reset. Recovered data from the cloud: contacts, messages, applications and their settings.

what is edl mode and how can I use it? I think that if i unlock oem via fastboot I might be able to unlock the bootloader and install TWRP.
...i have today fixed one Corrupted screen A2. Was bl locked so was needed disassembly phone, short EDL pins with tweezer and then flash fastboot firmware with miflash.
I have used v10.0.17.0. After flashing phone starts with approx 3x rebooting and then with Failed to boot message... so i have selected retry...and done phone boots normally into system

Unlocking your bootloader will factory erase your edge!!

So I found out the hard way. All I wanted was root, with everything else staying as is. Not looking to install custom roms just yet. Should have been possible, as it has been on almost every other phone. Simply unlocking the bootloader should NOT require an automatic factory reset. Just seems like a big middle finger for someone looking to try.
God damn no guide or even the motorola unlocking page made it clear that you will erase everything on your phone. Thanks very ****ing much. Pretty pissed at this point.
edit: So there is one line about losing media. Missed that, but just assumed simply unlocking the bootloader didn't require factory reset. Goddamnit.
Ouch.
Rooting is a time sucking blackhole; no telling where it will take you especially on the first trip. One reason I choose to run stock... not that didn't take time to optimize
Always backup your critical data redundantly using at least 2 hdds that are physically and electronically isolated from each other and the PC. Androids rarely crash/burn or get infected but sooner or latter you will need that data.

Yep, missed that line somehow. Have been used to unlocking procedures that don't factory reset.
Moto's playing hardball with it's consumers. I can't get my unlock code, they refuse to give it to me, in the US. There recently had a update to the august security patch. Applied it, and it turned off my developer options, and unlock button, they don't play nice for people that want to root.
