Is this version stable?

For those that purchased via this link; how can we expect to recieve updates? I lack patience and if theres anyway I can get it prior I will but this will make it difficult to get updates via the market.

I've been using it like crazy to make sure it works.

Purchased, and loving it. All the bugs I found in the demo are fixed, and it even goes to the top screen when you hit the home button like regular home. Will let you know if I find any new bugs.

Update via market may not work if you buy it early with this link, but since TBM can see who purchased it, he can send them the new versions as they come out. Maybe even betas for this app (and possibly other apps...? <_< lol) But you get my point.

Yes, I can send emails to users who subscribe to emails durring purchase when a new version comes out. If you use up all your downloads, I can also extend them.

Hmmm decisions decisions. I want this App so much but not sure whether to wait for the Market or not. Would be ALOT easier updating wise to wait.

If the people who purchase it outside the market don't find any show stoppers by Monday, I'll upload it Monday night (US)

If we buy it now, we cant get OTA updates unless we repurchase the Market version?

i think when you do the google checkout you can subscribe to emails from him- haven't bought it yet- still restoring everything after my wipe but will soon after i have back everything up!

As awesome as this app is, I really don't want to buy it outside of the Market... please upload this soon. Why even wait till Monday? Honestly, the faster you get it out, the better. Even if there are bugs, I'd still buy it today.

Yes, when you checkout there is an option to subscribe to emails.

I agree with the above poster. I'd buy it tonight if it were on Market. This way I could get OTA updates. I beggeth!

I'm a little gun shy right now. I want to make sure I don't blow it with a huge bug.

Yeah, you could add some auto-update code that downloads an apk from your website to it. That (along with theming) would be a welcome feature.

New NBA.com G1 Application!!

NBA Game Time
This free app was released earlier today. I tried to download it but kept getting "Download Unsuccessful," which may be due to the fact that I'm running HTC Magic. Well, I just looked for it again in the market and try again when I couldn't find it.
Would anyone happen to have the apk I could download from here? It'd be greatly appreciated.

I had this app but wiped and redid the whole apps to sd card process with rc33mod but now some apps install and some dont and this one doesnt, how can I get this on my phone, it says cant remove old version I dont have the old version on my phone.

Not true, I dont know why you cant install it, I also have apps to sd with rc33 and had NO problems installing it and running it.

New Swype Beta Released 6/8/10

A new version of the Swype Beta came out today. Does anyone have the .apk for the Dream/Magic version?

This didn't come out today but I'm using

I believe warez falls under programs/apps you would normally have to pay for. Just because beta isn't public, doesn't mean its an application that usually costs money. Releasing it isn't doing the company any harm financially.

Lol u can always use a file sharing program such as mediafire.

Got the update and it's quite an improvement in speed and accuracy over the leaked versions downloadable everywhere. I would be careful about posting it to any sharing sites, as it is licensed to your individual phone and your beta agreement likely contains some language that can get you in some serious trouble. Swype is great and is being included with more and more OEM handsets, which means they have more to gain from going after pirates. IMHO...

I hope this won't make it any problem. :O I already gave the app out to some people. Does anyone know how to remove personal info and trial period limit?

someone in the nexus forum hacked the beta so that any phone with the same resolution can use it. if someone can upload the file, maybe we can do that here too. PM me if you want to be more discrete.

Yeah, I just posted on the Nexus one thread how to go through the process of hacking the beta that I received. If someone here knows how to do that I can always provide the new version. I have a CDMA Hero but it is the same screen resolution as the G1. I am trying to get it on my wifes hero, my firends G1, and my bros Mytouch 3g since all are same resolution.

I plan to get the samsung galaxy s but in the meantime a 320x480 version of the new beta with no expiration would be amazing.

I managed to get the latest beta for hvga. Im not sure if im allowed to post it though

I did but the only place that seems to have it is some site in another language that I do not understand. I went thru the site to find a link, and think I found it but I have to register to get the link. Since I dont understand the site I wont know how to registered. I will keep looking thanks for the help

Nope thats the site Use google translate although i had problems with it, it worked flawlessly if i just went straight to the site and let chrome translate it for me
But yea u gotta register and confirm in ur email n then download it But works flawlessly, i even themed it.
TIP: the captcha box, i guessed and added the 2 numbers n put the answer n it worked

What does it do?
As the name already states, Games Release Dates displays latest information about release dates of video games. Furthermore, you can search for published or upcoming games and find out their release dates.

-Make it "ad supported" because 1€ is too much for somethink you can just bing for;
But it's just my opinion...

ad 1) do you mean "NoDo" supported?
ad 2) i'd like to develop the app further. so i would prefer keeping the app price at 0.99EUR/app. do you really think it is too expensive? as from a real personal point of view, i would really find the app useful, casue im checking release dates frequently via browser and therefore tried to improve the useability of my app. or in other words: i tried to keep my app as "clean" as possible, and tried to make as much info available as fast as possible.
Pretty simple and straightforward. It is certainly easier than searching manually for this information.

Click on the game to visit it's official site/FB page or to see game images/screencaps to get more information. I don't know whether this could be done automatically, or even by using the name of the game in a Bing search.
For example, if I click on 'COD MW3' I am shown a list of links to the game website/FB page/reviews etc. I can then choose which ones I want to see.
Basic example attached in screenshots... you could of course add some images if you liked

Thanks again for your feedback This problem most likely occured because of your network connection. The app downloads data asynchronously from a website depending on your desired region. While downloading you see the "downloading data" screen. If any of the downloads fails (e.g: Xbox360, Ps3, WII), you will get this message as I was thinking that the user experience would suffer if you might see only WII data but nothing else without getting notfied about the failed download problem.
Here's an idea...

Sounds interesting, couldnt come up of that bing idea myself^^ I'm working on that at the moment. I will try to work it out with a submenu:
Click on the Game and get a "right click menu" with several options:
-) share on FB or twitter
-) get further info
Or would you prefer: Click on the Game an get a new view (similar to your screenshot) and have the share possibility on a subview (subview like ybox360 ps3 - wii - ...).

Thanks for the update. Either one of your syggestions is good. I guess just go with whichever looks better or is easier to implement.

short update:
*) implemented a search for web, images and trailers
*) web and trailers open in a webbrowser
*) not sure about how to display images yet, still testing various ways
*) working on performance, to improve usability
*) still student, developing this app additionally to my studies, so plz be patient and give me some more time (i hope the waiting pays off )

Samsung Pay Beta Trial?

Has there been any info on how to get accepted into the Samsung Pay beta trial that's going to start on August 25th in the US?

It was my understanding that the closed beta is underway now. The 8/25 date is the Korean roll,out of the full version.

No, the Korean beta test has been happening since last month. The full Korea roll out is 8/20. There's a "limited beta test" for US beginning 8/25 as OP stated. I haven't been able to find any details either tho about this beta test. 9/28 will be full US roll out.

I've found the link to be able to download the Samsung Pay Beta .apk file but I haven't figured out how to get it to install. Does someone else want to try? I'm stuck on a Samsung S6 Edge running 5.0.2. I wonder if you have to have 5.1.1 to run it.

Did it let you do anything? Samsung Pay app is already on Note 5 but won't let me do anything, just says coming soon.

Cool! it would be great if somebody in the US had a good way to get this going early.

The app that is already on the Note 5 or Edge+ is just a place holder. Download the attached .apk file above and you'll be able to at least get to the screen with a start button, but no one has gotten past that as far as I know. It seems like Samsung almost has to authorize your Samsung ID before you can use it.

It seems Samsung has created a hotline in the U.S for testers. +1-844-726-7297

I called them this morning and they told me the beta starts tomorrow and that it is by invitation only. So it may not work unless they allow your Samsung ID to have access. Guess we should at least have a few people that start to have access tomorrow sometime.

I called again today and they told me to download the Samsung Plus app from the Google playstore. I downloaded it agreed to the terms and logged in and then inside the app there was a link that said "Join Samsung Pay Beta". So far it doesn't do anything, but it seems promising that it might work tomorrow after the beta has officially begun.

Maybe you'll be picked! I have that app and don't see anything about Samsung Pay Beta. Even searched for Samsung Pay and just a result that says "What is Samsung Pay" comes up.

Where was the link? It says I am a "platinum" member for whatever that means

So I called the hotline and after I gave them my account ID he said sometime tomorrow the server should switch on and let me continue with the app.. idk we shall see

I'm only a silver member. I originally saw it under the Discover section. Then it popped up on the homepage under the HELLO NAME, STATUS: SILVER, but now it seems to be gone. Maybe it was only there by mistake and then got taken down similar to the https://us.mpay.samsung.com/apk website. I'll keep watching for it again but that's strange.

Hmm yeah the benefits of platinum state that I get access to device trials so if I don't get access to it idk who would haha
