How can I succeed by installing the rom below on 'y700'? I'm trying and there is no more change from the 'SAMSUNG Galaxy' boot logo.

I doubt you can do this easily or at all because One UI is part of the Samsung ecosystem of apps and hardware. Probably has quit a few dependencies that it needs to function properly. Not sure how much Knox is tangle in with it or it's needed dependencies and if so it will be a lot harder.

People have already installed and used Samsung one ui on p11 or p12.
So, is there any reason not to use the y700?
I want to find out the reason and solve it.

If it's been done on non Samsung hardware platforms use those as a guide.

Yes, it would be nice to have a guide like you said. The problem is that there is no guide.

So how do you know it's been done?

Try some Google searches with XDA at the end.
Knox is integrated into the hardware. I'm just guessing but Samsung apps generally are difficult to run on non Samsung's.
They may have been funning you... SK's are a little goofy.

@AdamBs
Great Job mate. Did you compile it yourself?
...
Hi AdamBs,
I tried both your methods.
First i tried to flash the update.zip through mi recovery and i got the error that the package is not digitally signed.
Then i tried the fastboot method and i got TWRP, but afrer reboot it went back to mi recovery.
Am i missing something?
Can you show log after installation rom? I have twrp from http://en.miui.com/thread-156838-1-1.html , also I tested twrp from http://en.miui.com/thread-152550-1-1.html and so it looks (screen).
Device or resource busy.

Hope it could be fixed soon. For now only recovery which reboots properly is http://en.miui.com/thread-156838-1-1.html, others I tried (didn't try this before link was removed) freezes on reboot and I have to remove battery. But that one should be flashed using PC.
BTW: should this still belongs to original development thread, it seams like unnoficial TWRP port, right?
http://en.miui.com/thread-152550-1-1.html
Is this method ok? As i plan to use this when my phone arrives, install is pretty simple, put the file on phone and install from updater.
Thanks for your efforts on this one! Patiently waiting for the flashable zip

Thanks dude. I unzipped just the recovery image and usesd flashify to, um, flash it. That allowed me to make a nandroid backup before I started experimenting with an alternate ROM. I'm so glad I did that because it turned out that Xiaomi's internal backup app doesn't work properly. It didn't restore my contacts, my appointments and some other things. It was really great to use TWRP to return to the setup I had this morning before experimenting with so little hassle After I was done I just did a dirty flash of my current ROM over the top to restore the original recovery.
What about Redmi Note 2 opensource? We able to get kernel sources or even build device tree for any AOSP based ROM? Newer look into MTK before.
P.s. For now wait untill I get my device.

Did you get it from ZOPO's vanzo server or any else?
I have to mention you that DMCA would takedown the source if you caught any notice.
...
AdamBs said:
Technically they could request I remove it but it's GPL despite mediatec claiming it's closed source. No matter how much posturing they do I don't think there is much they can do to enforce it. As to the source no it's not from Zopo only these devices use the MT6795
HTC One M9+/E9+

Sony Xperia M5 / M5 Dual
Xiaomi Redmi Note 2/ Prime

You can check this thread for more information "Cyanogenmod for mediatek devices"
Now you can still get fully buildable kernel/full Helio X10 source (about 32GB) from ZOPO's vanzo server via authorization.

Not really.
First of all, you can't really experience Treble. There's nothing different for the user, it's just for developers to easier port newer Android versions.
Secondly, it's somewhat pointless if it isn't properly implemented by the manufacturer. There's no benefit to port new version "easily" if you hame much more trouble to get Treble in the first place; might as well use those resources to port the ROM "the old way".
And lastly, as long as hardware manufacturers provide new drivers it's better to have it the old way.
Basically, porting Treble to old devices is more or less an experiment and a fun project for devs, not really expected to work flawlessly or take off.

Well if this is mature, it can benefit both parties though IMO
For users, we can finally have an OS for all hardware just like in PC/Laptop enviroment
For devs, more user will use their product (build), mean increase in donation.
Later it would bring forth companies that build a paid/premium ROM. More devs would get a regular payment rather than relying in donations.
The rom can just including the generic driver to make the phone function for later use to install the driver from manufacture.
Manufacture would be forced to release a constant working driver or else get blamed by all parties.
All that later, we can say goodbye to bootloader lock since phone manufacture would just selling a phone, not the OS inside it.
The main issue here is that this thread is not a development thread, just basically a link towards the thread itself. Not sure this is the right place for that

tried to downgrade to oreo from pie now i'm screwed

I don't see any topic relate to downgrade of razer phone 2 so i decided to try since my pixel 2 or galaxy s9 will not any problem as long as my bootloader is unlocked
but it woudn't work on razer phone 2. i downloaded the oreo factory image from the official website but tried the flash-all now my phone is currupted. since there is no pie factory image available, i think my phone can't recover. I'm thinking if flashing gsi would work?
I lowered the version from 9.0 to 8.1, there were no problems...
You probably did not completely unlock the bootloader. It is also necessary to unlock "Critical Partitions", and after that flash the firmware image 8.1
fastboot flashing unlock_critical

LOL, why would you go from a phone you can root & customize, to one you can't do ANYTHING to (that (cr)Apple doesn't allow you to do!)?! That's the ENTIRE reason I've never bought an iPhone, and have always bought Android, so I can root and customize (I realize there's Android phones you can't root, but I'll only buy ones that CAN be rooted).

Use the volume and power buttons to navigate the little menu and reboot your phone into the bootloader while the phone is plugged into your PC. For some reason the flash-all script doesn't like to run as administrator, so try running it just by double clicking. Also, cmd doesn't like pulling files buried in folders, so put the folder with the script and images in the base of your C drive just to be safe. Windows has this issue with the number of characters in a file's path and refuses to find files if the number of chars in it's path and name are too high.
Any benefits using oreo over pie for the razer phone 2 though? Like is it faster or something? I really don't feel the rp2 needs rooting or a custom rom it's plenty fast enough in my opinion

Moto G9 Play bricked by booting wrong twrp?

Hello forum, if someone could help me finding out, whether I bricked my device doing a pat step, or if it's still possible to recover it, I'd be most glad!
After unlocking the bootloader, it might be, I did a wrong step restarting too soon or something, or trying to boot into a wrong twrp-version. Actually I don't remember each step, as this happened a few months ago...
Thank you for now,

if you still can, boot into fastboot and on your pc type

if it doesn't work then consider using this firmware updater https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-stock-rom-for-xt2083-reteu.4214883/

ouh, don't think so. I choose it for being said to be a bit lighter. But I am thinking of changing back to LineageOS for /e/ is a bit too close to conventional ROMs, regarding the user surface. But actually I don't know the newer versions of LineageOS.

I dont know if it is available, but for another phone I´ve tried dotOS and was pretty nice, at least on the surface, didn´t dig too deep inside the OS but it seems like a good option, also it has optimization in its DNA

This is a known issue with the kernel, and I can't really do anything about it. Run busybox reboot in TWRP terminal and you'll reboot to system.
"Bysybox reboot" in twrp 3.6.1 - twrp reboot me to os?
What rom you use? Pls, can you give me your backup or good rom name?
Nice work. It boots fast.
Maybe you could add a reboot button or replace the current one with one that runs busybox reboot.

Was working on that until I managed to hardbrick my T110. Maybe I'll get back to development someday, but currently not my priority.
