General Please include a true sRGB support in your roms - Poco F5 Pro / Redmi K60 (China)

In many roms for earlier poco phones we always had oversaturate colours even in natural mode.
I don't know how much work it is, but it would be vary nice to have try srgb support on custom roms.
Thanks a lot for your work and I hope we'll see something.

[Discussion] Stock OOS Camera Discussion- Feature Request

Hello Community! Greetings from Bangladesh.
There has been lots of buzz regarding Oneplus 3 Camera. For a great device like One Plus 3, Camera performance is one of the thing that many users dont like. I meant to say, since the device uses a decent sensor, a well developed camera app could have boosted the camera performance more. To me the camera performance is not that bad, but still it could have been much better. We saw Dev like SultanXDA can do magic and can really push a device's full potential to the maximum.
I was hoping if someone could have drawn the attention of one plus developers to make the camera app a bit more rich. I mean OOS camera doesnt really have that many options. We have manual mode, but its not complete, there is some limitation. I m not talking about some fancy filters here. If we look at Camera option of Sultan's CM 13, it has way more customization option than Stock OOS. Since Oneplus has not yet been friendly regarding camera Blob's and stuffs it has become pretty tough for the developers to implement something for the custom roms. Its been long, but except for Sultan's CM 13 camera performance in other custom roms are yet pretty much disappointing. We have Stock OOS camera port for custom rom, but it has some limitations.
So what i m asking here is One Plus Dev team should focus on their camera app. For example- Nubia Devices a great camera app which can make use of the sensor pretty well. Similarly Lenovo SnapIt camera has lots of customization too.
I m welcoming discussion from user community here regarding this matter. Please comment about the features that you want to have in Stock OOS camera app. Thus we can let OOS dev team know about our demand.
Thanks.

Washed colors on some custom Roms

Is there any difference between screen colors/calibration on stock oos and custom Roms? I have a feeling that some of the roms have more washed colors than stock.

On LOS 15.1 you can go to setting>display>livedisplay>color profile and you get 8 different profiles. Maybe your color profile was reset to standard when you changed roms.

There can be a massive difference. Even on OOS you can go from massively oversaturated to somewhat undersaturated, as in sRGB mode. If you are used to the former and switch to the latter it will be even more noticeable. Whatever you choose, you should use it for a while to let your eyes adapt rather than make a snap decision whether you like it or not.
If it looks 'washed out' when you switch to a custom ROM it's because they are aiming for colour accuracy in the default config. If you've been using oversaturated for a while i bet even the real world looks washed out to you in comparison. It might be a good time to break that habit and adapt yourself to something more accurate!
As mentioned above, LOS has a good number of presets, but more importantly you can fine tune everything to get the exact calibration that you like. Standard preset is a good one to begin with. Run it as is for a few days. If you think it's a little warm, turn down the Red a bit. Too cold, turn down the Blue. If colours pop too much and seem to 'glow', turn down the Saturation.
Don't keep switching from Oversaturated to something else. It ruins the calibration in your Brain!
If you have a PC monitor that you like the calibration of, bring up the same websites/pictures/whatever on both and compare them. Tweak the phone to match the monitor. Take some photo's outside and compare the resulting pictures with the real world objects. Do they look the same?
I don't like los too much how I can calibrate the screen on other roms? And it's not that I think real world Is washed out but I like amoleds popping colors

1 The display looks completely fine to me. If you want to test it under laboratory conditions, it might only get average results or it might get great results. It's irrelevant to me. To my eyes it's definitely more than good enough.
2. Who knows the future? If a large number of POCO F1 devs move onto this phone, then it should have a healthy custom ROM scene.
3. Not that I've noticed, but then I don't play the sort of games where any issues would be noticeable.

1. It's a FHD+ (1080) Samsung AMOLED display, it's a long way from a budget phone display. It isn't the best display Samsung make, but it's still very good. It won't have the most accurate colour rendition, it won't have the greatest dynamic range, it won't have the highest brightness. But in everyday use you will not notice that it's not the absolute best. Unless you're a serious photographer, wanting to see your work on the phone, or if want to watch HDR+ movies on the phone, then it's more than good enough.
2. The developer of the only actively worked on LOS GSI has done some great work to activate the front cam whenever any app wants to use it. This fix is slowly working it's way into other GSI ROMs. There is still an issue with the front cam popping up when the phone first boots, but it's early days and the phone's not yet been released globally. If enough devs get their hands on it, when it's more widely released, we should see some custom ROMs specific for the phone.

Are custom ROMs stable in K20 Pro?

Hi,
I'll be getting my K20 Pro tomorrow and would like to dive right into custom ROMs. So I was wondering what the current situation is like. Are the ROMs daily driver state yet? The dt2w feature doesn't matter for me, but what does is day-to-day usage. Please suggest a ROM if you can. Also, are treble ROMs compatible with the K20 Pro?
Thanks
Except D2TW and Camera Pop up issue, everything else seems stable to me. Though, usage varies from an Individual to an Individual and I mightn’t face bugs that others see. If you can live without D2TW and not switching b/w front camera modes then you should be good to go. Among all i have tried till now, i find EvoX to be the best. PE is also a good contender tbh.

Question [CLOSED] Too much contrast in GCam

Is there any fix for contrast in GCam? It's really too much and abnormal. I've tried tweaking MGC BSG mod but no luck.
While GCam Go works perfectly. Even the anx port gives good pictures but it's compatibility with A12 ROMs is limited. Works only on miui vendor ROMs. Please do share any good XML and gcam port combination for more accurate skin tone like anx cam.
Did you look at the images on a color calibrated monitor?
Compare images for both modules on a color calibrated monitor.
Compare contrast curves of both before you decide which one is best.
Phone display calibration can be way off. I avoid doing contrast curve editing on the phone because of this.
Welcome to the wide, wide world of color calibration... it has a very steep learning curve.
Have look in this xda thread.

That's something I must try but I've compared images from two different cams on same screen so screen is not the issue I guess. Anyway I'll definitely try to compare them on my work desktop which I use for graphic design and video editing purposes

Without a color calibrated monitor and throughput it's impossible to tell. I know my Note 10+'s throughput and display are almost dead on as I checked it with a color chart out of curiosity.
Variable displays will have a lower color rendering index; they are very difficult to factory calibrate.
