How To Overclocked T-wings? - Wing, P4350 Herald Upgrading

I Have T-wings
Can Some One Tell What Is Overclock And How Can I T-wing Over Clock

Overclocking is overclocking the CPU, making your device faster (but let's it use more battery power) you can do this with XCPU Scalar, but i suggest you use BatteryStatus:
http://www.chi-tai.info/cs_BatteryStatus_XDA_Neo_WM5_iM_cs.htm#Download

Have a look at this thread.
It should answer your question.

If I Overclock T_wing I Lost My T_mobile Warranty ?
If I Overclock My T_wings So I Lost My T Mobile Warranty ?

Yeah - if they get to know that you overclocked it
So just flush the device before sending it in to helpcenter.
273 Mhz should work fine with BatteryStatus.

FLUSH
How would you flush out the wing before sending it?
I'm trying to decide on buying the wing but im hearing
so much bad stuff about how slow and low mem.
I don't know if it is worth it or i should just go with
the for sure good BB Pearl.
What do you all think?
Aaron

Im not happy with it as of yet. I already have it but if you wait for a decent Cooked Rom with the new RUU I am sure it will be fine.

I actually went from the MDA, to the Pearl, and now the Wing. All 3 were really great phones, but the Pearl seemed limited when compared to the other two. . . just the nature of a Windows OS. The Pearl was still a great phone though, regardless.

Wow, I went MDA > Pearl > Wing also..
Im in for more news on how to flush before sending to tmobile..

On clearing the Wing -
Settings -
System -
Clear Storage
It will ask you to type "1234" then click yes. Then it will power down, and reset the device back to factory settings.

Kaiser Performance vs. TyTN/Hermes

What are people's observations re: performance of Kaiser? I've been using Hermes (8525) since last January, have gone through a few ROMs (now using vp3G's latest WM6 ROM), and I continue being annoyed by sluggish performance. With more ROM, a better CPU, and a different graphic chipset, I wonder how much better the Kaiser is at these two...
opening the keyboard... on the 8525 it takes at least a second for the device to handle that, and another second or two for the keyboard to become responsive. Very annoying, especially when I need to type in a GoodLink password or type up a quick response to an email.
waking up... depending on the apps running, it can take a half second to a second after I push the power button and before the home screen fully redraws (this is specific to waking up to the home screen)
Can someone please run some benchmarks on both phones!! would really like to see the performance difference, before i upgrade to TYTN II...
What benchmarks would you like to see run?
Subjectively, the II is a little nippier than the I, but not revelatory. The Ameo is still much faster at web page rendering, eg. But that could be as a result of a better radio as well as more horsepower under the hood.
The GPS seems pretty good. Finds satellites faster than the Ameo.
Is the GPS as good as the Sirf-III implementations??

Kaiser's performance compared to Hermes with WM6 (LVSW and Dopod's lately) is MUCH better. Waking up device - split second, literally. Switching to landscape - well, still takes a little bit of time, but looks snappier. Rebooting also clearly faster. So far I am really happy with it's performance, but don't forget, it has just been released. True judgements will come after some time of daily usage...
so Kaiser turns on fast - that's good. Does the clock update instantly, or do you have to wait a few seconds for it to update like the HTC Wizard?

The wizard is a couple steps down the line as far as performance and hardware.
on the 8525 the clock is instant.

I've got it now, but it says it should be done on freshly hard-reset device, takes ~35 minutes to complete benchmark, and it may destroy some user data. How sweet. Are you sure it's safe? To be honest, I don't like the idea of putting my data and possible hard-reset into risk, so maybe some volunteer with freshly unboxed Kaiser could get up for it?

You could just leaved it plugged in to the USB charger.
Of course, the benchmark is useless without also benchmarking other systems such as the Tytn, etc...

i love it, works like a charm for me, but you need to take others opinions like a grain of salt until you actually try the device yourself..
I think the Diamond will have some issues as lots of other devices, but they'll be worked out with later ROMs.
Are you in the USA? If so how can it work like a charm with NO 3G or 850Mhz support? So if you are an AT&T NO EDGE?????? I have the unit and use both SIMS and no better one or the other..

nah i bought a prepaid optus sim and testing it with that at the moment, $70 bucks gets you 300MB and some decent call time so thats cool with me, and whey optus roll out their 900Mhz 3G network it will work a treat...
this phone doesnt operate on NextG(850Mhz) it's 3G bands are 900/2100
telstra are a rip off. im on optus on a $70 prepaid turbocharge. gives u $650 worth of calls/txts/video calls and 300mb of data.
telstra soon enough will drop their prices when optus roll out their 900MHz HSPA network.
my advice: go for touch pro if kb and memory slot r important to u.
Hmm, just got mine and have that horrible sinking feeling that I've blown £400 on something that I'm not going to be very happy with.
First, it crashed when loading the customisations, so I hard reset and this time it went ok, but then another application (Touchflo) crashed soon afterwards. It's been ok since, but doesn't inspire confidence.
Second, Touchflo is quite laggy at times and also fiddly, these may be issues for me because I have big hands.
Third, the whole Touchflo thing seems a bit fiddly, I'm almost tempted to run with a standard HTC or Windows 6.1 homescreen to see if there's any improvement.
Fourth, the soft keyboard has keys that are very close together, even in portrait mode the keys are a bind to use.
Fifth, wifi not working very well with my router, keeps disconnecting, but my TyTn2, S730, S710, TyTn, E51 all work ok on it.
I've not had a chance yet to test battery, call quality etc.
Fingers crossed it's just a learning process and with time maybe the whole Touchflo thing will be refined a little more.
It certainly doesn't feel anything like as slick as my Ipod Touch for typing, browsing, music etc.
I have a bad feeling that I should have waited for the 3g iPhone.

Hey, don't get too down so soon...have a look for the Diamond tweaks - they'll speed up your device (especially TouchFlo) like you won't believe!
That's the difference between the Touch Diamond and the iPhone. It's much easier to fix problems with the Touch Diamond through registry edits and third party software, than it is to fix problems with the iPhone...

Yeah, but why the heck do we have to!? Can't HTC build a quality device that just works out of the box?! Then leave it to us mostly to customize it and somehow improve its usability!? Man, everyday I read about newer and bigger bugs and flaws. May be most of them will be overcomed thanks to this comunity, but were is HTC with its support for its high-priced devices!?
I'm a tech geek alright, and I love having all the newest tech gadgets around. I've wanted to get a WM phone so many times throughout the last few years but they were always behind in lots of aspects compared to the Symbian ones. Then HTC released its TyTNII with its holy specs, great design and somewhat compact size. This was my phone! Yeah, right! Then I found out about this huge issue with the video performance and followed it for about three monts waiting for a solution either from HTC or XDA. And OK - HTC had some problems with Qualcomm support for its stolen from Broadcomm chipsets whatever. So they announced Touch Diamond with a new chipset and "3D GPU" which "processor enhances the user interface". And then again it needs tweaks to make it - not better, but just usable. Then all the other bugs and flaws users say about in this forum.
Well damn you HTC, I'm about to leave the idea of having WM phone again. And that from a fan of yours that followed you back from the era of Qtek devices.

So wht is the verdict guys... is it worth buying it or wht i was planning on buying it but i heard a lot rumours tht is it really not worth it... cause the main problem is it is really slow!!!! even after applying the tweak to speed up the phone cause after tht it seems u'll need to soft reset a couple of time and even hard reset....
So the million dollar question is buy or not to buy???

Maybe a WM device just isn't for you. I wouldn't be happy if I wasn't constantly fiddling anyway, so it's better for me to get a device that needs improving than to get a device that works fine (because fiddling will break it).

Last time I ask.... time for a new phone : (

I've asked this a few times but to no avail. It's not anyone's problem but mine but I don't know how to fix it.
I've only done two mods to the phone.
The disabling of the auto-attach.
And the Boost TFL3D Performance mod#1 on the mod list.
My problem is simple.
The phone lags....
For example, when you click the people icon and then click your contact list, the damn phone takes forever to pull up on the screen.
The reason I sold my Touch Cruise is because this phone had a faster processor.
Please, can anyone tell me how to increase the speed of this slow azz phone?
If I can't do anything about it, I'm buying an iphone or something else.
Thanks much,
Mark
Certainly the best way to speed up the phone is to flash a custom ROM to it. There are many out there that are MUCH faster than the stock ROMs. I highly recommend Dutty's V1.2 rom, but there are certainly others.
Marky Marky Read read mate first
I have owned most HTC phones and after tweaking this is my fave and fastest so far...
Firstly what what ROM version are you using?
First post. Glad to meet u all.
I had official Vodafone spanish ROM until yesterday. My last phone was a QTEK s100, so no Wireless, no GPS, no Gsensor, no light sensor, no WM6.1, but it was fine, speed was OK. Diamond had poor speed compared to S100.
I flashed with the new official ROM from HTC and it seems a new phone. Try it.

Cool, I highly recommend flashing to Duttys ROM 1.2 at the Mo 1.3 should be with us in the next few days - I understand your frustration m8. I have been using these toys for years and they always need tweaking (but thats become half the fun)
What I will say is that you will se significant increases in speed from 1.37 which in honesty I thought was ****e and bug ridden so no surprises at your dissapointment. We are still a little way away from the perfect ROM but every time gets closer - rest assured. I think you will be pleasantly surprised after flashing to Duttys.
If you need anything else just shout shout.
NB. enable all the power management functions in schapps config and your battery will also last a hell of alot longer.

na man just go look up some roms on this site n ull find alot of good rom n tmobile rom sucks n roms on this site is like 50 times better than those
Overclocking past 247
Same problem here; sometimes 247 gets the problem; but ..
Basically when it bursts up past that; the display gets verticle lines and ends up all messed up; it will straighten itself out when the burst kicks it back down a nothc; if i set it to a higher rate (not a burst) then I can still change it back (granted i can't see the screen i can only hit the right keys) so the phones not freezing the display is just not handling the cpu spike;
I've tried it on many many different roms; I don't think that's the problem..
Not all CPU's can handle the extra speed. Just like desktop CPU's.

Touch Pro Overclocked - Overclocking the X1 - is it finally possible?

Anyone managed to find this software and give it a go?

http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/post/2009/09/06/Touch-Pro-running-at-800MHZ.aspx
does not work, forces the device to auto restart.
However, the creator is working hard to get one that works
Even if a X1 version is released, the only thing you might achieve is to fry your cpu and destroy the device years earlier than its expected lifetime.
How about Temp and Battery life, is it worthed ?

As the same arguement for Pc overclocking, the lifespan of a cpu is many years beyond what you are likely to use it. I.e the phone could last for less than 5years for all I care, 2years in fact as Ill upgrade to xperia 2 so I might has well "fry" it and gain a faster smooth and more enjoyable experience in return for a shorter lifespan.

I prefer to keep my tech working even after I stop using it. After all, you never know when you might need a backup device. Different points of view about this, I guess.
I agree with orelsi..I'd like my device to be in good condition even though I won't be using it anymore...you never know, you might come up short on dough with your plans of buying the x2 or x3 and selling ur x1 might give some additional cash for u to finally buy that device...of course if it's fried, no one will buy it or u'll only be able to sell it dirt cheap, for parts or whatever

You would make the phone useless, for anything else than calling. I would prefer multitasking and good performance over battery any day.
waw it worked for me...
i install the tool and my phone way connected to pc with activesync and it ran at 800 mhz ,i was like (damn thats how the phone should run, smooth scroling in main menu ,benchmarked with sktools and got waw results ).
BUT when i took usb out of pc my x1 froze and i had to softreset.
and i couldnt run it again in my x1(now when i run it,it freeze or restart)
what a shame ,i hope the tool get stable so i can run x1 at 800.
