SanDisk4gb microSDHC for $75 a good deal? - Mogul, XV6800 Accessories

i saw it on amazon and i'm not entirely confident that it will work with the mogul...i'm positive the $20 2gb microSD's will work, but it'd be nice to have double the memory without carrying anything extra around.
there's also a microcenter very near me with some generic 2gb microSD's for about $25...
what do you think?

you can get it cheaper off ebay i think.
i thought it was like $60 on amazon too. it has been CONFIRMED that the 4GB microsd by sandisk DOES in fact work with the mogul, so you shouldn't be too worried about buying it. I myself don't see the point in having to pay for that much extra storage. I got my 2gb card for $9 from buy.com.

thanks, i was thinking the same thing. my old wizard's 2gb minisd was never completely full; there was no point, it would've run out of battery before i got through half of the media. i'm guessing that i'll go with the 2gb microsd. i'm still VERY impressed with the size of the 4gb card...it's like a fingernail!

I grabbed a 4gb microsd off ebay for $60 + 9$ shipping.. came in 4 days and it works great... It's a sandisk microsdhc - and came with a usb reader.
It was from this guy -

I just bought a scandisk sealed 4 gb microSD from Amazon for $69. I have seen a lot of posts spread across several forums sharing that their 4 gb cards they bought from eBay were scams as they would only hold up to 2 gb of data.

I got one for $68, but you can get them for $51 direct from this site...

Works like a champ!

Not all phones that can take Micro sd are SDHC compatable, SDHC works with WM6 not WM5 and it's also hardware related too.
The Sandisk 4gb works great with the Mogul, even though htc said maximum 2gb microsd cards, there have been a couple of problems reported with other brands of cards, so Sandisk is the one to get on a Mogul. any other brand may give you problems later on.

Newegg also has a kingston for $25 (including minisd and sd card adapters), and a sandisk for about 35...
Personally, I prefer kingston, but that's just me.

I found the best deals on Ebay...
And you can run the SDHC Patch to use cards larger than 4GB on the Titan/Mogul/6800
Works great I have a 8GB card in my phone and love it! The entire North America map from Garmin with tons of room to spare!

How about this one:

6gb SanDisk Micro SDHC works on Touch Dual

I purchased one of thes in hopes that the SDHC would work without compatability issues. So far no errors and all my media is accessable. Even came with an adaptor and a SDHC usb reader. I would highly recomend this for you Touch Duals (nike) Great price too; I picked mine up for about $70.USD

Hi, runs also in my touch dual since 2 weeks.
No problems.
So do I, same one, working perfectly.
how much did you guys pay for yours?
Well, the 16 GB Card runs around US $ 150, which is, in my opinion, a bargain.
we
PS: as long as it works w/h Touch Dual. No card reader though.
I paid around $78 for my Sandisk 6GB SDHC and it's running wonderfully for more than 2 weeks now.
I bought my Dual from Expansys UK and when it arrived it came with a £10 voucher, I noticed the Sandisk 6gb SDHC was only £40 and with £10 off I thought that was too good an offer to pass up.
It comes with a decent adapter aswell, good build quality and well designed.
I would highly reccomend the Sandisk 6gb SDHC for anyone looking..
8 Gigabyte MicroSD
Just thought I'd add that I purchased an 8Gigabyte ScanDisk Card (with USB adapter) for just over £50 (GBP) and it work like a dream - no access delay and just under 8GB of available space.
I've also heard that ScanDisk are due to release a 16GB version in early 2008?

Why would you think it's too good to be true? How much do you think a 32gb would go for?
I bought a 32 gb scandisk from ebay for 29.99 and it works on everything EXCEPT my evo don't waste your money trust me
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
i wouldn't bother. it's most probably a scam. i bought two of them in the past. they are usually 2gb cards that are rebadged to make them look like 32gb cards. if you tried to put anything larger than 2gb, you get the corrupt card message.
Only reputable company to make 32gb micro sdhc now is Sandisk and there card is rated at class 2. So I would seriously doubt anyone else would sell them for $15 dollar unless we are in the stage where cards are 1tb and not gb. Just use common sense and you don't be victim of scams as you only empower them by doing so.
PS: ATM I'm shopping for real 32gb c4 or 16gb c6 so let's see if anyone else is welling to produce 32gb cards.
Well looking at the feed backs, almost all the ones regarding the MicroSD card were something like:
PayPal unclaimed - requested repayment. Could not repay via eBay, so cancelled
So yah, I wouldn't bother
Also, the seller claims it's class 6 which screams fake/scam
My question is WTF is Kingston and PNY with there own 32gb cards. At least competition would lower the price. I heard people were picking up Sandisk 32gb c2 for $50 of Verizon by scheming them as they still sell for $100 which is much lower than anyone else ATM.
BuyDOTcom (noob users can't post links) has a 3C pro 32GB microSD card for like $120. It's a class 4.
Other than that, I haven't seen much competition at all in this area.
I'm content to wait until later this year for more people like RiData and so.
this fake
98.9% Positive feedback
i have a question:
how does he get so many positive feedback on ebay ?
(i believe too its fake though ..)
I bought one of these from eBay, not from the same person though. It was a 32Gb Class 4, I got it for about £20.
I works fine in laptop card reader. Put it in my HD2, tried copying a large amount of data, which failed, now I have an 8Mb sd card!!
It may not be the way to go.
Here's an equation that I have calculated to help you out.
MC + E = NO
Where MC = Memory card
E = Ebay
NO = No
And now there's a sale on a class4 16gb microSD card:

Well, many of the fake memory cards use host for storage, to fake the large capacity and fast access time.
So when you used it on your laptop, it actually stored all the data on your hard disk. Cool, you thought: it's all working.
Then you used it on HD2, which was impossible for the dodge hack, so it revealed its true nature.

Patriot SD cards are not a bad deal just don't expect to be able to use them with Honeycomb. The Honeycomb thread is only too full of other members like myself who found them to be really SLOW regardless of the rated class! Replaced it with a Sandisk and to my surprise, HC woke up from it's laggy slumber and was as snappy as the "preview" version could probably be. I'm using the Patriot card in another android device now and it's fine for far less demanding duties.
I was hunting for a good fast NC card and ended up with this 8GB card:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820208453
It has very good speed ratings for a reasonable price.
I couldn't find a good deal on a 16GB card that REALLY runs at class 6 or better reliably. That's why I ended up with the 8gb for now.
I did, however, get one of these 16GB Patriots for the wife's new Optimus V.
San Disk is the way to go. Using a class 4 and its pretty good for speed, reader on nook is class 6 so close enough.
Some benchmarks:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...na&AID=10521304&PID=4169959&SID=1c6j6nbtdtth7
(benchmarks via Crystaldiskmark)
Transcend 8GB class 6 that was so highly liked at newegg: Seq read/write: 19.09 / 18.15
The Patriot 16GB (that this thread is about) - seq read/write 17.6 / 4.5 !
Good performance for raw storage, prob not great for Roms.

[Q] SD Cards

I have purchased (and returned) two defective 32 GB SD cards purchased off eBay. I am shopping for a replacement but I am concerned about the quality of products out there. I have looked at most cards offered and many cards do not match the same printing as shown on the manufactures website, or the manufactures website does not show that size and/or class is even available. I looked at Amazon and have the same concerns (most sales are not Amazon directly, but a sub vendor).
The defective cards I purchased worked partially but were plagued with data loss, even after re-formatting or partitioning.
It seems like the SanDisk Class 2 is the only thing that seems trustworthy, but I am worried that the slow transfer rate will affect watching video etc.
Any advice?
i had the same mentality and got the sandisk. the only other brand i was 'thinking' about was kingston. you just have to check the percentage of reviews on newegg, and not the total score. if there's 20% 1/5 star that's pretty indicative of bad QC. for example, the patriot 16gb class10. i don't mind paying for the speed, but reliability comes before everything.
i'm using the 8gb sandisk uSD and running 0.6.8 froyo SD off of it. loads everything and runs everything fine. i played avi's and rmvb's quite smoothly (~350mb each, not HD).
You have to be very careful with any SD cards from ebay. There are many that are bogus cards. Some vendors will take a 2G class-1 card, flash it to make it look like a 16G Class-10 card. Most people don't have the ability to for a disk test (use ATTO) or will use only a small portion of the flash for a while.
Any Amazon dealer that has been around for over a year and has good reviews should be safe. Still, I like Newegg for things like drives, flash, etc. Amazon just throws a drive in a box and lets it bang around. Newegg listened to their customers, and now packs disks well.
Also, living in New England (or for many West/East coast people), Newegg packages often come in 1-2 days! I've ordered a number of things in the morning, and had them delivered the next day (with standard free shipping).
Since I do worry about "is this a valid product", for things like any Microsoft software, I'll only order directly from Microsoft or Newegg.
I would avoid Ebay for purchasing SD cards.
That said, I've had good experiences using a:
1GB Kingston Class 4 microSD
8GB Kinston Class4 microSD
32GB Sandisk Class4 MicroSD
They have all worked for me.

Do I need Super Speed? No
Do I need a name brand? No
Do I need a LOT of space? Yes
Max space the LG G4 will recognize? 1TB <<< XDA Specs state only 128Gb (which is incorrect)
So I searched for about an hour to find the most space for my money with the highest customer ratings.
With this information, I found on ebay this:

A friend of mine told me that it wouldn't work as these SD Cards may come from the same factories that make them for PNY & Kingston BUT don't go thru the testing process. I thought... For $20, I can take my chances. It works.
I have ready every post in here, and no one is even close to what I've got.
The 1TB SD Cards were not as cheap, and they may need more time in production for all the issues to get smoothed out, but 512 GB's will do for now.
I travel a LOT to India, and as a Senior Tech Agent, I need to transfer Large files back and forth, keep large presentations with me at all times, and plus 512 gigs is awesome.
