whenever i use the slide out keyboard with the new pdaviet rom the alt characters are not positioned correctly with the letters on the keyboard for instance i try to press alt P to get the "?" mark but i get ")" is there maybe a registry out there that lets me change the alt characters output for my keyboard i am using a t-mobile wing if that is of importance

i actually couldnt find any information about registry editing for the keyboard using the keywords you gave me it pointed to files that help me chang ethe language of the keyboard but that is not what i want to do if possible could u put donw a linki would appreciate the help

Did a search, nothing in any of the guides works.
Adding a Locale string did nothing, there's nothing indicating anything to do with locales in that string you pointed out, nothing I could find that seems to work.
Seeing as how it's been covered so many times, it should be easy for you to pull up a link for my ignorant self that I can't seem to find on how to change the US layout to the Wing layout.
I have posted it a bunch of times I know what your saying. We are all waiting for a solution to this problem on the wing.

It's odd. The version xxx.09 of PDAVIET's rom worked peachy with the Wing layout for me. This xxx.10 version is being goofy, though.
Really? your the 1st one to mention it. I will check it out later on.
Whoops, I meant the xxx.08 version worked perfectly. I skipped the xxx.09 version.
yeah it started messing up wen i started using pdaviet 0.9 and 10 0,8 was fine for me

Does anyone else have a problem with the sound control using IGO My way 2006 plus?
I can turn up the volume using the left OK button, but for the life of me I can't find a way to turn down the volume without going into the settings.
I don't think there is a way without going into the settings. igo was written before the tytn ii came out, so the button mappings dont seem right to me (compared to how it worked on my old tytn I)
On another note, do you find that, if you have had the phone turned on for a while, Igo will not run and you have to reset the phone (or power cycle it)? The only reason I can think for this is that perhaps it's down to memory fragmentation, and Igo requires a large unfragmented chunk to run?

That's a pity, I was hoping someone had a workaround for it.
I did have to soft-reset IGO sometimes to get it running smoothly again, but I use MemMaid and SBP Plus now and don't have the problem anymore.
i found the solution today,just put this file into data.zip in directory config and replace the old one
then you can have the hardware IE BUTTON and the envelope button as volume up/down.

Thanks for the post mastelos, I tried it but it doesn't work, it hangs on loading every time.
Works fine when I put the old zip back though.

it works for me and others too here,i can't understand why not working with yours.
1.you unzip the default file "data.zip" and u can see a directory named "config"
inside you find the file keybind.txt,save it to another location to your pc and put the file i send.
after zip again all the files to one call "data.zip" and put it again in storage/igo
before you can delete the file device.nng in your igo directory,do not worry after you open igo again, this file will be create automaticaly.
2. alternative you can download my "data.zip" from the official Greek igo forum

can you describe how do do that again. I saw the keybind.txt that the previous poster put up earlier, but i'm not exactly sure where i'm supposed to put "UP='VOLUMEUP' DOWN='VOLUMEDOWN' '" at. I dont really want to guess and mess up my phone. Please help, because i've been searching for a way to use the scroller as volume control. Help me, you're my only hope.

With winrar you can edit this file directly in the zip. Or you drag the file out, edit and drop in again.
In the [default] section you find many keybindings. There you can put these two lines in.

Umm...i'm either 1) still drunk 2) just dumb or 3) simply dont know what you're talking about. but i can't find the config directory, where's it at? i know w/ commander you can see a many windows folders you can't see w/ file explorer...do i need TC to see this folder?

haha, ok...so thats the problem, i didn't even have igo. i really feel like an idiot after looking @ the topic i was posting in. i knew i was either still drunk, tired, or just dumb. i'll get that then do it right away, thanx. but does anyone by any chance know of a way to turn the scroller into volume control w/out igo?

For all those who want to use the jogwheel for volumecontrol on their KAISER with igo8, here my findings:
Add the following lines to the FFkeymap.txt:
[KAISER]
key = 0, 38, 131, 193
key = 0, 40, 131, 194
key = 0, 38, 132, 195
key = 0, 40, 132, 196
Then you can configure your keybind.txt, eg.
[KAISER]
C3="ZOOMIN"
C4="ZOOMOUT"
x27="ROTATERIGHT"
x25="ROTATELEFT"
C1="VOLUMEUP"
C2="VOLUMEDOWN"
It should work, as long as the last value of the "key" in decimal ist the same value in keybind.txt in hex (193 in dec=C1 in hex).
This has to be done, because the up/down buttons and the jogwheel send the same keycodes.
In this example C1/C2 configures the jogwheel, C3/C4 configure the up/down buttons.

Hi, I'm facing a stupid issue on TF3D when I go to slide the 9 icons up and down. Instead of having only two blocks of 9 icons each I have more + icons but if I try to add programs here they are not show and I still have the +...
If I go with a config tool I see the programs I have tried to set to the new positions, I can add and empty them put they still remain not shown in the TF3D.
Any help...

You installed a tweak. If you search, you'll find out that you can display more than 18 shortcuts in your program list, but you can't assign anything to the new ones. I don't remember the thread, but it had the registry entries listed, so if you find it you can just delete them and all will be fine.

Hi all,
I had the same problem with SwiftBL 5.0 ROM, but I didn't install any tweak for extra shortcuts (I don't know if it was already considered in the ROM).
It disappeared when I installed v5.5 and v5.6 (I haven't installed v6.0 yet).
It was very annoying because the number of buttons kept growing until I gave up using the 'Programs' tab and started to use the programs shortcut in the start menu.

Ok, so I found the reg key thanks to pgriffith

I have deleted all the ones above 17 and the useless "+" disappeared. Just one stay there, in fact I had 18, 19 and so on till 23 and now I found that I have one numbered 100.
Can anyone be so kind to check if the 100 is needed (default one ore something else) or if I can delete it and solve finally my problem?

Nevermind, I deleted the 100 and now I have 18 full working box ( 0-17 ).
Seems that adding 18 doesnt work, I can't imagine why...

Suddenly my touch screen alignment has gone crazy. Reflashed over and over with no luck.
I'm trying to use Remote Screen Alignment but I don't have the calibration data.
Can any one post the calibration data found in the registry key:

for all you, you can go in registry, HKLM/drivers/touchpanel and put there 250 decimal value, default is 200, or you can put biiger, when you feel your touchscreen respond ok

not resolving for that problem, just changing display can help!
create a file called "welcome.not" in your system root folder (where windows and program files are located)..... and reset the device.. this should skip the calibration screen at start-up

i try install PocketMusic v5.3.5(last version, support WM6.5).
after install set language but i can't see button OK.
and i open application HiCalc v2.7, i can't close this application. (no button OK).
and can't change the default keyboard settings.
after the select button ok, the default keyboard not change.

Did you notice that softkey bar is diffrent between this screen and screens above?
Also, WM6.5 applications would not work on 6.5.3, because of dirrfent shell, you can assign OK/Close key to any hardware button and use it like a magic, it works in most cases

It;s fixed, it shouldn't appeatr, but if it does, try to find DeviceBeta entry in registry and change it to " "

Two things noticed really
1: The expiration message pops up right after a fresh install (ImanD was right about this - please see attached pic)
2: After installing 64MB version, the RAM still shows as 14MB, is it right? or am I doing something wrong here?
More testing on its way.

I have to guess, what your problem is.
Search for Settings Network and switch from ISP to My Home Network.
Enter Advanced and check Proxy to 'connects to the internet'

Is it really a final version, because after a fresh install I got that message too. expires within 30 days.
The expire date shows when I enter the correct date exp. 2010-04-07, but if I let the date by default 2009-01-01 it doesn't show the expire message.

Oh so that was my fault, I didn't change date because it is waste of time (only-rom-flashing himalaya)

Hi! First of all, thanks for an awesom ROM. No issues so far, except;
ActiveSync? It's not working? I turned off the advanced networking function but that causes the device to lock up when connected.
Am I doing something wrong or is this a known bug?
