Can anyone help me ? the keyboard does not work anymore after I install Chinese Song character plugin... I have tried soft reset, it does not work.

i would love to help you,because my tytnII with wwe rom flashed and ce-star installed now supports Song Chs perfectly.
but can you tell me more detial about your device's.
i think you have modified some key in registry like [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\keyboard layout\Preload] that would make your kb stop working.
of cause if you have time i could help you make yours the same as my kaiser supporting Song CHS very well.

i dont have ce-star in my ATT tilt, i just install Chinese Song downloaded from a chinese pda forum. hmm, after I installed, and the fone restarted, then the KB does not work anymore.
hmm, I dont know how to change registry. I think i am goin to get a micro SD and flash HTC kaiser ROM coz ATT tilt ROM sucks.

After succesful upgrading to WM2005, I tried to install the 2 arabic files extracted from EXT ROM (which I think are responsible for Arabizing) "Default_AACERT_arabizer.CAB" and "Default_ACERT2_arabizer.CAB". After installation and softresetting, the device acts wierdly, and.... There is NO Possible Way to get it running again without getting into "Bootloader Mode". Did any one manage to do that? and I couldn't get into the xetended ROM of WM2005....did any one succeed?

I tried my self also...but all in vein....that was 1st reason to downgrade to Win2003 SE...
I wrote an email to imaginet one month ago, they replied " we are trying hard to upgrade and soon you will have an upgrade"...I don’t know what it means by soon...months or years???????????....since they never upgrade after 2003... :twisted: :evil:
i will attach 2 options for arabizing... people managed to get them working... i didnt know however (still new at these things) so if are able to enable any of them please tell me how

i cant seem to get it to work, while others have and are not willing to show me the way
i cant upload it cause its too big even after partitioning

Can you explain what is "nothing"? I did it my self last night and it worked. The only drawback is there is no Arabic keyboard. However, they clain that if install that dictionary..it works. I'll have to try it.
Arabizing is possible with wm5 and blue angel
I can arabize my xda iis with the following programs in wm5 (maimach patched rom) if you use the standard rom it locks the blue angel...you must extract this paste the nb file to ph20b if you have xda iis, if u have a siemens it is the other folder..reflash the rom:
imaginet Dictionary working
Imaginet reader working
Arabizer 1.3 working and stable
sidenote:
imaginet handwriting reader working well in 2003se. Works in 2005 however when the mobile goes into standby mode if unused say for 5 minutes pressing the power button will not open the blacklight, only a reset resolves this. In the end this is the only one i have not got working yet.
Finally, make backups every step of way with a program like sunnysoft 3.3 or above, unlike sprite this is compatable with wm5.
Dear friends, I am still trying to install properly arabizer on wm05.
I couldn’t install Arabic –English dictionary and prayer timings.
If you install above mentioned files without AR-Eng dictionary, Arabic key board will not install, but if you get file from following link, named “United Arabic Cab.rar, its worked fine for me and I was able to get Arabic key board without installing ar-eng dictionary. hoping it will be helpfull for you.

HEy Guys after Flashing the 6.1 Rom from the HTC Website i cant type Umlaute (äöü) anymore on my keyboard
on 6.0 i had to press o then fn+space
but now it doesnt works anymore
how can i activade that again or is there a fix aviable

After a fresh Hard Reset its working, but when put my Sprite Backup on it ****s it up (registry)

I have a HTC diamond unlocked(GSM). whenever i install any new application or an utility and if the installation encounters an error or the application does not work after the installation or even if it installs properly and is not comparible with the phone or doesn not work after it installs, I END up blowing up my PHONE KEYPAD and COMPACT QWERTY keyboards.
It happened twice and i had to hard reset both the times.
Please suggest me a possible solution or a tweak

Radio ver: 1.13.25.24
Actually tried installing slide to answer black and white both the versions dint work. and in the mean time my PHONE KEYPAD and COMPACT QWERTY keyboards stopped working as in i am NOT able to type the alphabets.
whenever i type only numbers are typed but not alphabets
same problem encountered when i installed finger keyboard

Hi,
you should up grade to 2.03 rom you can find stock rom's here dont forget to read here first http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416211 if you havent done the hardspl. I think that some of the new apps require 2.03 the slide to anwser does. I hope this helps you.

See.. I bought this phone in INDIA and in the official WWW.htc.com ( India site) , all i see is this version of rom for the update. No updates available after this version of rom..
So wondering will it be OK if i upgrade to higher than this???

well, you both need to put on you reading glasses and start digging this forum, first of all, you need HardSPL on your device to be able to flash a ROM in a different language or WM build.
If you do a search here with the high lighted words you'll be able to figure it out, and also this link should give you a good start:

Are you sure that the Hard SPL (or whatever) works on european models of the touch diamond, i.e. the P3700

I managed to get it working with hardspl. i had to use the "manual" way by moving "SSPL-Manual.exe" to my TD and then run the romupgradeutility with installs HardSPL.
Glad you figured it out, i am european and have the P3700, hardSPL worked automatically for me, but for an unknown reason sometimes you have to run it manually.

Hi, if anyone could please help me i would be gratefull, i recently purchased a D2 but its already preloaded with WM6.5 rom version 2.53.405.5 (76952)WWE, But i really wanted WM6.1 as, among other things, i wanted to use the handwriting rec.
does anyone know what stock rom to reload? and where i can get it? sorry to ask such a basic question.

but......
now all that happens is it turns on, shows the touch diamond2 screen, then resets
it has the following text in red in the lower left hand corner

i searched the forum but couldn't find any reference to that type of error either.

Download stock ROM for your region
Unpack it with WinRar or TotalCMD
Rename RUU_signed.nbh to topaimg.nbh
Copy topaimg.nbh on your SD card
Enter bootloader (hold volume down and turn on phone) and follow instructions
edit:I guess for wm 6.1 you need lower version of SSPL

ive tried to reflash with the older rom fighter7139 suggested

but it gives me the same rebooting error.
any ideas why wont the older rom work on my phone? or if theres an alternative to that rom ?

I've loaded hardspl 1.83 and extracted the file RUU_signed.nbh and renamed it to topaimg.nbhand,
i moved it to the SD card, reflashed the phone with the 6.1 rom,
but i get the same error.
any idea on what rom i should use to update from?
or what stock spl i'd need to run this rom's version of 6.1 ?

maybe i don't even need 6.1, all i want to do is to fix two things -
1) make the sms messaging work like on the old htc devices ie diamond or tytn ie not use htc messaging
2) add handwriting recognition
- would also be nice to have the taskmanger icon, the battery icon and the original windows start menu back too, but im not dependent on them....
so i guess any rom would do that allows these functions, any help or info on this would be much appriciated

thanks for that, however that was the first thing i tried, i saw the download for the handwriting ap just after i got the phone, not knowing it didnt have it when i swapped from my diamond,
the thing is the update only works on certian AP version control builds -
the message on the site is -
Note: AP version control -> The criterion will pass if the Touch Input for Pocket is equal to Version 2.1 (Build1919.1320), or lower.
mines a higer version, which i assumed originally had to do with it being wm6.5 not 6.1,
- i have tried downloading and installing anyway but it wont load.
does anyone know how to get this update to load, or how to change the AP version control back to a lower version ?????

The handwriting SIP is likey hidden.
There is a reg edit to unhide, just search SIP Reg Edit and you should find it.
If I recall it was under the WM general tweaks.
thanks for that, i got the letter and block rec working, but still not the transcriber the reg key shows it should be showing, but i think the actual file may not be there,
fixed after changing the reg, and downloading the update, you then need this transcriber cab

Any luck finding a way to get 6.1 working on this phone? I just bought the Pure from AT&T as a replacement for my LG Incite that had 6.1 on it. So far I can't stand 6.5 at all. My main beef is with IE, I really like the one on my Incite vs. this one. And my other problem is with the start menu, I also prefer the drop-down style in 6.1.

Start here.
Once you unlock your phone, you can flash to anything you want.
6.5 is hands down better than 6.1, there are 6.5.219xx builds that have the drop down start menu.
