Is it possible to change the LCD to a OLED screen? - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 Software Upgrading

I like my angel so much. However, the LCD really hurt my eyes. I know OLED display will be much better. It should be a simulation of paper, right?
Is it possible to buy an OLED display and change it? It will be much better than spend money to buy a stupid iPhone. Does anybody know where I can buy a 3.5" OLED?
Thanks

that's something more hard than just repalace the lcd dysplay, you should also must replace the uC taht controls the lcd and place one that can control the OLED display....

theoretically you can replace QVGA screen
FS C550 has 3.5" VGA, it is maybe the best PDA screen, but cable

Graphics Cards

My question is about the computer display on a LCD tv. Should it look the same as a LCD monitor, and if it doesn't is it graphics card or tv's fault. I have a "42 inch olevia tv", and an "asus extreme ax 700pro" graphics card. I'm using componet connection instead of the pc monitor connection on the tv. Does that make a difference? I get a display throught the tv, but it's hard to read the writing ( like under the icons, and previews to emails). Any help given would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The main difference between lcd tv and lcd monitor is resolution. LCD monitors have better and bigger resolution therefore it looks nicer.
Get an LCD HDTV. Maybe the component-in will be more beneficial

Havent seen u for a while.
LCD HDTV has still smaller resolution then some bigger LCD monitors, so the HDTV screen will never look as good as the monitor.
Yeah, school...and other stuff. Has been kind of hogging all my time as of late.
im running a 37 inch 1080p Toshiba LCD from a Radeon HD 2600xt (256MB Graphics Memory) through a DVI port on the card, then DVI->HDMI adapter and then HDMI in on the TV.
To be honest, on anything except 1080p, it looks crap, but because its 37 inch, on 1080p, the taskbar is like 6mm high, and its impossible to use easily.
There's no 720p res, only 1280x768 which is the second best res, and looks almost perfect except the odd icon, and is about double the size of 1080p.
(off topic: I kinda wish it was like wm with qvga and vga, in that instead of having everything the same size in pixels and making the display bigger, it has a larger number of pixels, but the lets say taskbar is te same physical size on screen on a higher res, but just more detailed as more pixels make it up.)
back on topic:
I think its mainly the display...

Kaiser LCD into Touch Pro?

My Touch Pro screen has been dead for a while now and I just realized that I have a slow Kaiser right here and the screen looks to be the same size...
Of course the lcd that ships within the Touch Pro is a lot nicer..
anyway, would I be able to take the LCD & Digitizer out of the Kaiser and use it with the Touch Pro?
I'll be posting this in the Raphael (Touch Pro) forum too because otherwise I need to know of a recommended website that has a lcd/digitizer at the lowest price.. ebay has some at 30 that are lcd and digitizer but ya never know if it will actually work good!
lol teh funny!!!
my parrot died...i missed polly so i plugged in my ferret's heart and brain and a bolt of lightning and a jolt of electricity later, i cried "it's ALIVE!!! it's ALIIIIIVEEEE!!! muhahahaahahahahahaahhaa!!!"
ummm no, sorry, no, just no!
EDIT: thought i should state the obvious...kaiser has a QVGA 320x240 screen and Touch Pro has a VGA 640x480 screen. even though the physical size is the same, sadly electronics are not so simple. theres a lot more to these things than just plain physical dimensions. go for the replacement part(s) from ebay or other online suppliers as suggested (most likely) in the Touch Pro WIKI.
ok np ty.....

[Q] Cracked HTC 8xt screen; replace with 8x one?

Have an 8xt with a cracked screen after a tumble. Everything else seems to work fine. Is it possible to use the higher resolution, but same dimensions 8x screen ($19.99) on Ebay with this?
And, since the resolution is higher 1280x720 vs 800x480, will it show at the higher rez or the lower rez or not at all? It would seem to certainly depend on the video driver... and perhaps the lesser memory 16gb (8x) vs. 8gb (8xt) may be a limiting factor?
Anyone with some definitive information? Thanks.
If the "screen" is just the glass, there's no problem. If it includes the digitizer, then that depends on whether the two phones use the same touch resolution (probable, but not guaranteed). If it also includes the LCD or AMOLED, then the phone will probably reject the higher-resolution panel because the driver won't match, although it's possible it's the same driver and just adapts to whatever resolution it sees. In that case, the question will be one of whether the OS (which stores information about the resolution at various points in the registry) will adapt or not. If not, you'll either get a letterboxed (or cornered) display, or it will be logical 800x480 but stretched to fit the larger number of actual pixels.
Thanks for the excellent reply. After thinking about it and looking more, I'd say it is just the glass covering and not the digitizer.
All functions, pushes, on the screen seem to work normally.

I'm sorry to reopen this, but did you attempt this repair? If so, how well did it work? Thanks.

Prestigio multipad 8" split screen

Hello, i got for free Prestigio Multipad Thunder 8.0i 3G (PMT7787_3G_D), but screen is split, about half screen to one side of the cleavage is dead... But LCD is good, view is so clear and bright.
I try find out how change this model touch panel (she is from glass), but in russian forums i found just that to LCD with touch panel is full face glued and most people say that they spoils LCD when it try distinguish it from touch panel. Maybe something is to try to distinguish this model touch panel? I see in youtube some people separate LCD form touch panel with hot air fan-heater and strong fishing line, but some people in Russian forums says that the glue for this model is very hard (harder than Apple or Samsung). In internet china shops i see glass touch panels for this model in sale, it means that it is possible to change them, but how? Or for the new touch panel replacement match UV glues? Is this device worthwhile the risk to remove the touch panel and only buy touch panel (16$) , or if i failure to remove the touch panel and LCD will damaged simply forgetting that tablet pc, and maybe this device worth at once Buy the LCD with glued touch panel (60$)?
P.S. Many thanks for the answers in advance.
P.S.S. Sorry for my terrible english knowledge :/
I would say any device that you purchased for $60 is not worth repairing. If you do decide to repair it, then you'll need a heat gun which will cost you an extra $20 or so to buy. So you're going to pay at least $30 to repair a screen that might not survive the repair process.
I have people who lend for me good bosh heat gun, and i have good flat work table. I don't know where i can buy touch panel with glued lcd (ready to use LCD+touch) for best price, in aliexpress cheapest offers is out of stock... i write to services who repair touch screens, i got answer that cost me 30-50$ with parts and replacement, hmmm from they get screens :/ because i just find cheapest for 60$...
P.S. yes, this device is cheap now~100-150$ (i got for free) but it with Atom series intel procesor, is this procesor not a miracle? Good stereo, good 8" ips screen...

LCD

Hello, i wanna change my LCD, I looked up in some online stores and always find LCD with Frame and LCD with no Frame, What's the difference between those two?
I just wanna say U may call it display instead
Its a oled not lcd
Get it with the frame
Get it with the frame. Don't buy only screen otherwise you'll have to do extra work like fixing and gumming the screen to the frame. Go for original amoled screen.
