touch accesories - Touch CDMA Accessories

recently traded my palm centro and my upstage for someones touch. it can be a little buggy at times but overall i am happy with it. the person i traded lost their box and everything inside in a move and i don't have anything but the wall charger. anyone got an extra box with accesories or has not touched theirs since they pulled their phone out and want to part with it cheap?

a good buy for my athena x7500

yesterday i went with a friend to the tmobile store. i was looking at the accessories knowing they don't have any for my phone.but a paper box with no fancy name no cover stuck out like a sore finger. when i grabbed it i was shocked as to what it was i havent seen one for sale. it was a solar charger small enough to be carried around . and on sale from 120 to 20 dollars what a deal i thought. and it was it does a pretty good job of charging my phone while walking /driving / ect. i think for any phone its a good gadget to buy
i have included a pic of it

Inductive charging for the shift?

Hey folks.
I'm a very happy owner of my first android phone, the EVO shift 4g. I came from a palm pre and I really miss the inductive charger. I saw that there is a Powermat inductive charger for the regular EVO (non-shift) and was wondering if anybody knows if the backplates are compatible between the two.
Similarly I saw a hackaday article on removing the palm pre induction charging module from the backplate and soldering two small wires to the interior usb power terminals (again for just the evo) and was wondering if anybody had tried that.
Thanks guys!

Backplates aren't even close. Give it time, the phone hasn't even been out a month. It took quite a few months for powermat to create and release one for the Evo.
There is an instructable on adding inductive charging to the Epic as well. It's the same concept, as long as you can do it.
Sounds expensive to buy a used Pre just to rip it apart for parts.
LOL, you don't need a whole pre, just the backplate and charger. Those were add on accessories.
I'm in the same boat, except I've got a spare touchstone back somewhere. I haven't been able to bring myself to disassemble my shift yet. I have insurance, I might as well. If i brick the thing I'll just run it over with my car.
Maybe I'll wait for my friend who's in school for electircal engineering to come back on vacation so he can help me with the solder points...
Yea its tough because it seems like we've had the phone for a long time yet accessories are just starting to come out. The first really usuable rom just came out 2 days ago.

Dropped my nexus 7 one to many times

So i droped my nexus last night it bounced off my night stand on the way to the ground and when i picked it up it was off. figured wtf hitt the button.
nope it stayed off
press and held the buttons and tried to get it to reset ect. no go it was dead. connected it to the charger and tried again. got a back light but nothing else.
so did the non tech thing (smacked it a few times and pressed the power , came up flaky screen was kind of scrambled. great i trashed my nexus by droping it.
so called Google they made me do all the stuff i already did, no surprise its dead.
they told me to call asus for support. , went to asus site they wanted my sn to make a case, couldn't find find it i know i registered it. they told me i would need to send it in they would charge me 65 to issue a new serial number WTF! and then if the repair was not in warnty it would cost 165 to fix the nexus. 65+165 is more than a new nexus 16 (what i have). so i said thanks but no thanks.
so as i sat and stared at my paperweight i thought why not. i got a razor blade and a butter knife. used the razor to crack the edge of the case off and then popped the back off with the butter knife.
looked around and noticed those wonderful overworked china drones routed one of the wires for the battery round the backside of a plastic support pin. this made the wire very tight and it pulled the connector off the main board on one side of the battery connector creating a short. i pushed the wire on the right side of the support pin and reset the power connector and bam nexus back to life.
so if you dropped your nexus and it boot loops and or just wont turn on when off the charger. open it up and check the battery wires bet you got the same cross eyed Chinese tech and the battery unplugged itself
Thanks for the tip. I use a TPU case for my Nexus 7.

Drop it (multiple times), smack it around, then take a RAZOR BLADE to it?! Good lord.
No surprises here.... None at all....
Cool story bro. Glad you fixed it. I fix most of my stuff too. I'm a techy guy and probably more qualified then the drones that work at the factories.
Just like my wife's Samsung Netbook (back when netbooks were cool). She insisted taking it out by the bonfire where some friends and I were drinking. I told her countless times to take it in before a full glass of red Merlot gets dumped right in the keyboard. She runs inside and plugs it into the wall??!!!
I took it apart and cleaned it up but the keyboard was hosed. I called Samsung for a replacement keyboard but they wouldn't sell me one. I had to send it in. When it got there, I got a call about purple stuff in there and thus the warranty was voided. I said yeah no ****, I told you guys we dumped wine in there. She wanted to charge me $75 for the keyboard and $125 an hour. I laughed and said I only paid $220 for it, for $200 I'd rather buy a new one and see if the old one would Blend.
Bought the keyboard off eBay for $16 and she still uses it like 4 years later.

took a risk

So I bought one of these guys on ebay and In the description it said the power button was broken it had a buy it now for $40 it said it also came with the cradle so I figured sure I'll buy it. I received it today, it honestly looked brand new never used before the protective plastic was still on the screen camera and buckle one problem tho the cradle was not with the watch bummer so I searched and I came across some home made remedies and surprisingly it worked it charged right up turned on everything worked fine on it now I'm just waiting to hear back from the seller about the cradle but still going to buy another one from Samsung but just figured I'd share this lol now I need to find some cool things I can do with this watch any advice?
I just bought one from nomorerack.com. They're refurbs, but they're $88 + s/h (usually $2 per item). Comes with box, cradle, power cable... the whole deal. Got mine a couple of days ago.

Charging dock

Hello everyone!
I got a Mate 8 some months ago and still it, but when I'm at my desk, the phone stays on the table, which isn't all that bad, I know, but I want to do the most I can to prevent scratches and everything. So I'm looking for a dock I could put my phone on. I've been looking on ebay, I saw a bamboo one that could fit a watch, but I plan on getting a Zenwatch 3 and I'm not sure the watch charger would fit and I'm not sure of the quality, so here I am asking to you guys. Do one of you have a dock? Does it look nice?
Thanks a lot guys!
Not sure if there is one that has charging capabilities built in.
I saw a post here by someone who bought an *aluminum* cell phone stand on eBay. Looks well made, designed such that you can attach your charging cable while your phone sits in the stand/dock.
