Longer Life Battery - Touch CDMA Accessories

Anyone got one of these longer life batteries? Doubt its a genuine HTC batt for starters but if the 2000mAh gives you a longer life might be worth a shot
I've played a 1.5hr move on my Vogue batt was at 90% and dropped to 20% by the end.. pretty good.. but my phone is only 3 days old so will get worse I guess

Hi I am also in NZ with a Otka Touch. I just ordered one of these off Trademe. So will let you know how it goes in a few days. I probably wasn't going to use it for everyday use, more for long trips etc.

if you're using the Vogue, a.k.a. the Sprint Touch, check out Seidio's 2000 mAh battery. i've been using for 4 weeks now and it will last much longer than the stock. the second thing to remember is that the GSM version of the Touch is slightly smaller than the Vouge/Sprint version. an extended battery cover for the GSM version WILL NOT fit the Sprint version.

I have the cdma touch
First day with humpless Seidio 2000 mah battery so far so good. 24hours after initial charge battery is at 60% pretty good. Will post more in a week.

So humpless means it you don't need new back cover?
And earlier poster: I think my battery life is improving slightly with more use; charging and flattening right down again.

actually it gets better after a few charges..

If you look at the seidio website the 2000mAh cover is actually 3.5mm larger than the original, but its included. Or you can opt for the 1500mAh battery that fits inside the standard cover.

in my opinion, the 1500 doesn't last long enough to justify spending $5 less than the cost of a 2000 mah battery.

yea but the 2000 adds size + new back case + u cant use default holster

i hear ya, but, 3.5mm in added thickness is an acceptable trade off for me. a co-worker of mine is using this case with her extended battery (minus the case mate cover)... i try to get pics and post here.

Man, I really like the holster that came with my Sprint Touch ... I'd like more battery life, but I don't want to sacrifice the holster.

im just going to sell the touch and think about the q9c or blackberry curve then wait for the mogul/touch replacements later in the year

I use the Seidio 2000mAh battery w/extended cover in the case that come's with the phone. It fits fine.
I like this extended cover because it does'nt screw up the looks of the phone like the covers with the "hump".

Does anyone know if the touch will still fit in a dock cradle with the extended battery cover?

1500
1500 is the biggest that would fit in a car cradle? I was just wondering. 2000 with new cover might not fit? Maybe a little shaving on the cradle.... Not sure.

it says here that the 2000mah battery will fit in the stock case
"This extended battery is compatible with the OEM carrying case that came with the Touch. Please click "View More Images" for a visual depiction."
i think i just might get this with my next pay.....the bettery dies way to quick for my taste
anyone know of a canadian reseller for this battery...i don't want to pay like 30$ to get it here and have to worry about customs.
here is another place to get it for cheaper right now....it's not the same it has the back cover with the bump in it but the price is right...

Official HD2 Extended Battery

While searching for a suitable spare battery for my hd2, I came across the official extended battery from HTC - hadn't seen any feedback from the forums so thought I'd post it here.
Search for it on the HTC accessory store (sorry, I can't post links as a newbie).
2300 mAh [good]
Has a stand [probably good]
Not due till 5th April [bad]
Costs 50 british pounds!!! [bad]
It sure is ugly [really bad]
I dunno if I'm gonna bother waiting - for that price, I can buy about 10 cheapy standard batteries on ebay.
Too expensive for what it is... why don't you simply buy 2 other extra batteries on ebay for 10 USD for one... much more better alternative no ?
well standerd is 1230mAH and i just bought a 1600mAH battery from ebay for £5.99... will see how it goes when it arrives but imo its not worth £50 for the official extended although it does include the back panel (pictures of it are in another thread)
I emailed HTC about the official battery as I need a decent extended battery with 2x capacity rather than a 1600mah or so (although I ordered one of them of ebay the other day!).
They said they still can't confirm when it'll be ready - most sites are expecting it in April just now.
There will be an HD3 before it arrives!!
i bought the extended 2680mah with back extended battery from my vodafone (germany) shop...normally it costs 69,90 euro - we will see if its worth
Photos! And we need a proper review!
dang, thats one expensive battery.

i found a quiet good alternative in the neofree 4400 mAh battery . when i need the extra power i put the usb cable to my hd2 and thats it. the neofree is the reason why i stoped buying extra batteries for my devices. no more nonfitting cover/cases and blown up pockets .
regards mad
This is way bigger than i thought at first...Damn that is HUGE !! I am not as concerned about the form factor of the phone as i am of dropping the phone with that huge extra mass on it...broken screen for sure (i don.t expect to fit in any case - other than a tent )

That's an interesting alternative that I didn't even think of.
I don't care the size of the extra batterry. It's uglier, yes, but it's more funcional.
+1
I ordered it, waiting April for delivery.
I prefered an ugly back phone that to be constantly wired to something and get stressed by that!
I too find they've done a great job with the extended battery and cover.
Stop dreaming, an extended battery will always be bigger and thus will stick out, no way around that... there's no point in offering an extended battery with 20% more capacity that fits in the normal volume. If you want an extended battery it's to have at least twice the capacity...
But at least they keeped it quite stylish with a suitable metal cover and not some cheapo piece of plastic. The stand is awesome for video/GPS, which are the main reasons you'd use an extended battery for...
On no phone is an extended battery an accessory meant to be nice looking and/or for everyday use. You put it in when you expect you'll need a lot of juice, like travelling...
For everyday use I just keep a second standard battery in my bag, in case I need it, which normally doesn't happen.

OEM HTC Extended Battery Cover for HTC Hero

I did a search on Amazon today and found an extended battery cover that appears to be OEM. I couldn't find any mention of it anywhere on the forums. Does anyone know if this is the real deal? What battery would fit under this cover? The big Seidio one maybe? Or did HTC release their own that I can't find?
I can't post the link because I am a new member. A search on Amazon for the following will pull it up though...."OEM HTC Extended Battery Cover for HTC Hero (Sprint)"
search the web
mugen-power-batteries
and sprint htc hero battery and cover is there for like 75 bucks
Don't buy Mugen or Seidio, they are rip offs.
Buy this one:

It's a great battery, and if you want to see how it looks here's from the other thread:

Well the 3200mAh battery didn't have a compatible cover (that fits) but somehow vinyl skin cover can fit around it and the whole phone, even though it's only 1790mAh actual, the battery life is awesome, I've gotten 1.5 days with regular (but not crazy) usage. Definitely alot better than standard, and btw I'm overclocked so the unoverclocked may be even more.
The 2600mAh battery (true capacity unknown) seems to be pretty much equal with the "3200mAh" it but came with a compatible cover.

Either is great but obviously there'd be no back cover for the one if I didn't have a vinyl skin cover (the battery was actually for a GSM Hero but fits the same contacts). I recommend them both

Seems to be like 150% or better, but it's hard to say from personal experience because when I started using the extended batteries I also started overclocking (which lowers battery life) so, it could be ALOT better if you don't. But even still I really like the extra battery life I've gotten.
The best part is that the extended batteries aren't much more than the standard
I just ordered one of these... can't beat it for $11.97 shipped. Can't wait to get it and see what the life is on it.
I bout some rechargable lithium batteries for my xbox360, supposed to be extended life, but after two recharges, they went downhill fast. You might get lucky, but usually you get what you pay for.

I haven't had any issues with any of the batteries I've purchased, I treat them well and they treat me well.
And I highly doubt one gets what they pay for when they spend $80 on a battery, well no I take that back... Mugen and Seidio do turn a hefty profit

You get what u pay for.. and while i do believe the seidio is too high..I have no complaints what so ever..

Forgein battery imports... they aren't even TRYING to hide their scam anymore!

Sometimes I look at eBay for batteries, even though I know they're pretty much all imported garbage (and who knows how many peoples' water supplies are being tainted by industrial chemicals to produce this cheap ****). I am lured by high capacity and "USA FAST SHIP" slapped all over the product pictures. Regardless, it seems that recently these sellers have gotten a bit more ballsy and have decided to be honest about their products... kind of.
Here are the most recent batteries that have somehow floated to shore from our friends in the far east (along with screenshots):

http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-1500MAH-BAT...974821?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item483cef82a5
And another! This one apparently is only good "up to" 1000mah...

Even they are borderline sketchy.
To be honest, I bought this exact battery the first week I got my phone on launch day (first link) except it was a package of 2 batteries and an external charger for $10 and free shipping. Best decision I made. They last about 12 hours on moderate use for me. I'd rather carry around an extra battery than shell out $50+ for seidio.. until you try it, don't automatically assume it's not worth the $3 because I use it every day.
I think you are all missing the point...
They don't specify an exact mAH number rating. They specify a range from 500 to as low as 1000 and as high as 1600.
The fact that three different vendors all sell the same battery with the same ad copy with the same pictures but wildly different power ratings positively screams "avoid at any cost" in your face.

I bought the same thing. I'm sure most people that visit Android blogs did as a few endorsed/advertised it.
Eh I got one battery and an external charger shipped for about $5. Sure it doesn't last as long as an OEM battery but hey, for the price of a fast food meal I got an extra battery that I can pop in to my phone in a crunch. I use the OEM battery mostly and then I have this one when I need it. I wouldn't recommend using it as a main battery though. Just my thoughts

What's so sketchy about Seidio?
They make quality products. I bought one of their slim extended batteries for the DInc - works like a charm. I can get through a full day with heavy usage and still have 20-30% life left over. Granted, I use SetCPU to adjust my CPU speeds - which greatly helps improve my battery life.
But I've bought many products from Seidio - cases, batteries, charges - none have ever failed me.
What was your bad experience with them?

Seidio's been good to me also, I'm running the 1750mah battery and I certainly can't complain. I also have the Innocase Rugged which offers great protection, albeit I use just the inner Innocase most of the time, it's nice to have the option.
I bought one of these, came with two batteries and a charger. can't beat the price. I just peeled the sticker off that surrounds the battery and replaced it with scotch tape (to make it thinner). it's barely thicker than the stock battery and last at least as long. cheap chinese. whatever, but $10 for two spares and a charger is an amazing bargain.
(can't post the link, but I got the htc my touch slide 1500mah batteries and charger from china. on ebay).
I bought a cheap chinese 3500mah battery on Ebay from a guy in hong kong, and it doubled my battery life for 10 bucks.

Their products suck. The 1750 battery lasts 3/4 as long as my stock battery, and the innocase ii peeled and scratched the sides of my phone

Seidio's batteries from those tests ranged from 79% to 82% of their rated capacity.
OEM batteries ranged from 96% to 100%.
The OEM EVO 4G 1500mAh battery fits in the Incredible and has a very, very, very high likelihood of last just as long, if not longer than, a Seidio 1750mAh.
That is what's sketchy about Seidio.
Honesty is best, but,,,,,
,,,but business is in it to make money. I have not bought any knock off batteries, but I do not understand why they can not be as good. We know that HTC probably is not in the battery manufacture business, they must have someone make them for them. Would it not stand to reason that if discovered the company that makes the good ones for HTC could sell them to us. Or think about this, maybe they get them from China too from the same places on the net but the Chineese test them all and sell the best testing ones to HTC, they would not throw away batteries they have made and sealed and have money tied up in so they put the crap ones on the net for sale,,,,,just a thought;-)
I bought one from Ebay and am quite happy with it.
It cost me $0.01 loll plus 10.99 shipping from hong kong I guess.
Ebay 1 penny battery
It works great.. Not exactally DOUBLE the life of the OEM battery but pretty darn close.
Here is a tip I read online and IT WORKS AMASINGLY for my DINC.
When you get up in the morning, unplug your phone from the charger and shut it down.. then when its OFF,, then plug the charger back in for 30-60 minutes or so while you take a shower or eat breakfast or whatever...
It makes my battery last MUCH MUCH LONGER..
Now I am wondering if there is some type of program that will automate this for me? I noticed though, when you leave the charger plugged in and shut the phone down,, it doesnt reset the charging cycle.. The Light stays green and doesnt charge.
Anyone know of an app that will shut my phone down at a predetermined time?

The performance of the battery just wasn't on par with the size.. And it crapped out within 2-3 months for me.. Maybe I just got a bad one

I bought two of these for my gs3 and they gave me longer life than the stock battery. I thought they were great. I have actually been looking for these for my note 2. I can't say if they will hold up as long but it's been a few months and now the wife has my gs3 and they are still going strong.
i hope they release mophie for the note 2, it would basically double the time.
You might check this out:

mugen battery giving us 100mAh more = 3% longer use of our SGN2...
If you think that is worth the 45 bucks
capacity of the qcell gn2 battery

QCell uses small cells, and shims to make up the space... or at least they used to, when selling the GS3 extended batteries. Maybe they ordered the wrong part and needed to break even... I don't care - selling an undersized battery with a regular rating is a scam type thing.
That probably explains his performance issue. Fortunately, I have bought a ton of assorted batteries, and am not afraid to open them up. I also use a battery analyzer (CBA-IV Pro) to test capacities. I can say, QCell's Note 2 standard battery is what it promises.
Right now, I've tested about 5 GN2 batteries, but they're all standard. I don't recommend thinking about mugen...
For the GS3, they charge $88 for a "4600mAh" battery that performs slightly worse (4250mAh) than a $13 Anker battery(4360mAh). They've been doing that type of stuff for a while. I remember a few years ago there was another guy on xda that had a CBA and performed reviews... one of the last things he ever did was get into it with Mugen... I don't think it's beyond suspicion that they killed him, so my time might be limited here...although I'm not making any accusations...
There are other good batteries for the GN2... I've tested the Anker and Hyperion. Both good, but the hyperion item from amazon has 2 batteries instead of anker's one.

I take it that there is no case that will fit any phones that have one of these monster batteries installed? And I assume one would loose NFC with such a case (not that I use NFC).

Seidio has a case on Amazon ASIN: B0097PFU1I (sorry, cant use links yet). I see someone from another forum I follow that really likes it.
I ordered a Onite extended battery and it arrived today. I noticed that the battery door didn't fit on there right, until I put a great deal of force to get it to snap on. I feel very confident with the quality of the door, as it DOES INCLUDE NFC, and doesn't feel like its going to fall out.
I finally got the QCell battery. I think this is the thread that prompted me to buy it... I see why QCell only shows the back of the cover in the amazon pictures - the back plates don't have NFC. Anyhow, the battery is in the charger and once it's charged I'll put it in the battery analyzer and see what's up.

this pulled up a GS3 case
I had a QCell extended battery for my Galaxy S II. It did provide better battery life. It was listed as 3600mAh. I don't know if it really has as much juice as advertised, but for the price I'm ok with it if it was less as long as it gave me a noticeable boost (and it did).
Now that I have the Note II I gave it to my nephew for his S2. He's on his phone ALL DAY and kills his battery fast. He happy now the bettery last him much longer.
I'd give this one a try before I spend a mint on Mugen. Heck for the price of Mugen I could buy 4 of these.

Let us know how that Onite battery works for you, I like that you say it has NFC.
I have two Standard Samsung batteries, so I don't really need an extended battery. But who know if it give a substantial boost and has NFC I may consider getting one just in case I have a LONG trip or something. For the price it can't hurt.
I just ordered the Hyperion, anker, and EZOpower extended batteries to review. Whichever has NFC and the best price of those is probably going to be a good bet. They were for the S3.
NFC chip is on the battery cover not the battery.
Yeah... and not all of them have NFC. The QCell doesn't.
Do you guys have any further reviews for those batteries? Really considering on getting one and wanted to see what you would suggest.

LG G4 Extended Battery, MPJ 6000mAh Battery and Black Back Cover for $29.90

First, I’d like to thank MPJ for sending this 6000mAh battery for testing and this is an unbiased review. I usually don’t like to test batteries because I always carry my extra original battery and QC 2.0 Power bank with me. I have my G4 on May 28th 2015. One week before the G4 was selling in USA. The G4 was given to by LG USA Mobile for the G4 Trial Program. After a couple of weeks I have brought a battery on Ebay for about $7 shipped from China. This is the first battery I can find but its a fake battery that wouldn’t hold charge and drain like crazy.
This MJP battery will give a MASSIVE boost to your phone's life. Makes the phone a lot more beefy and a bit more heavy, but if you are a heavy user it is way more than worth it to try. The case/battery is flatter than the standard back of the G4 which makes it sit steady on table tops which I liked.
The charging speed is about the same as the original battery but 2 X more because its 6000mAh. The charging temperature is around 23 degree C which is quite cool. I had even tested to see the battery will hold charges.I fully charged the battery and left it unused for 3 days. Then put it on G4 and its still at 100%.
Pros:
- Ridiculous battery life boost, like an insane jump over standard G4.
- New case is steady on tables and will not scratches the camera lens.
Cons:
- Bulkier/beefier phone, heavy users like myself will find this way outweighed by the battery life gains.
- No NFC and wireless charging.

Somehow we always end up testing the same products.
I have one of these also and am currently on day 2 of the first charge.
I will have a review to post up here in about 2 more days with my opinions of this product.
So far it is looking good for me.
oh boy how ugly ...
is there any 4000mAh or 4500mAh battery ???
because 6000 or 8500 are good in term of battery life but are making the phone look really UGLY

+1 this!
This is why I just bought some Quick Charge chargers... with all my other phones I ALWAYS ended up getting an extended battery, but with the quick charge on this phone, I'm fine! Got 2 quick charging chargers at home, and one in the car. Just throw it on when I'm not using it. This phone charges SO FAST on these chargers that I don't even plug it in at night because it will be on the charger for 7+ hours longer than it should be.

Completely agreed. Anyone with even a modicum of a fashion sense will absolutely stay right the hell away from this.
But hey, it's called a "Business battery" for a reason!
Just keep that sh*t hidden in meetings and you're good to go
MPJ was kind enough to allow me to test out their new 6000mAh Li-ion High Capacity Extended Battery For LG G4.
I have had this battery for about a week now and have been using it every day.
I consistently am able to get two days of use out of it with everything syncing normally and brightness set at 75%.
I went three days one time and had to charge it when I got home from work, so I would say the max I was able to get from this battery was two and a half days.
Charging time for me was about double the time it takes to charge the standard battery, which makes sense as it is double the capacity.
I did however find that my Quickcharge 2.0 charger did seem to charge it slightly faster, but this battery does not claim to be Quickcharge compatible so it may just be that my Quickcharge charger is just a better charger.
I had no issues with heat while charging this battery. It actually seemed to be cooler while charging than the stock battery.
I did find that in my daily use of this battery and case I found it much more enjoyable to use the phone while on a flat surface due to the flatter back of the case.
It removed the normal rocking this phone comes with when set on it's back.
The extended portion also prevents the camera lens from touching any surface when setting the phone down, preventing scratches.
There is some added bulk to this case and that was to be expected as it is double capacity from the standard 3000mAh stock battery.
I however did not notice it in hand much at all due to the well rounded edges of the back cover.
It actually fits rather nicely in hand and was comfortable to use.
The ports on the back cover all line up perfectly. The opening for the volume and power buttons fit so perfect that you would think LG them-self designed this back.
The opening for the speaker is sectioned off so you get better sound coming directly from the speaker through the opening with no distortion from going through the rest of the case.
This is one little thing that sets this case above the others like it.
The only problems I can find with this case is the lack of NFC and the smooth texture of the back they sent me.
They do however sell a textured back cover for this battery for $9.99.
Finally the price of this is perfect at $29.99 with free Prime shipping on amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/Extended-Batt...821189&sr=8-7&keywords=lg+g4+extended+battery
Pros:
Double capacity battery = double usage!
Comfortable back in hand
No rocking of the device when on it's back
Good charging time
Well made case
Price
Cons:
No NFC (seriously, this could be a deal breaker if you need it, there is no way to add it without some serious modifications)
If you can live without NFC (I can) and you need either more charge in your phone for day-to-day use or just want to make your phone last for more than one day on a charge, I would recommend you purchase this extended battery and back plate.
I would give this 5/5 stars
I will include some pictures so you can see for yourself what this battery is like.
Sorry about the lower quality pictures, I had to use a backup phone to take pictures as my G4 was in them
I will try to answer any questions you may have about this item.
I received this at a discount in exchange for an honest review, this does not change my opinion of the battery in any way.
If this review has helped you at all, please click thanks below to let me know.

Just click the back you want from the options.
Im getting 5+ hours screen on time from the stock battery, so 5 hours with 40% left means this is closer to a 4500mah battery labeled at 6000mah. Dirty. Can you confirm your screen on time barely reached 7.5 hours screen on time, and not 10hours?
A 50% boost is not worth making my phone 700% uglier

Each person's screen on time will vary.
You can not compare mine vs yours. (or anyone else)
One person may have an extreme battery saving setup that gives 12 hours screen on time from stock.
While another person could be running always 100% brightness with tons of background apps running always and using tons of battery and only get 2 hours screen on time.
As for your claim about capacity, you should not assume things with no proof.
I have the battery and did a review on it.
It is definitely 6000mAh.
I have a USB voltage detector and it shows you current charge rate and total charge.
It showed me between 5800mAh and 6100mAh every time I charged mine.
Here is a picture of the one that I have so you know what I am talking about.

Yes, I am also a bit curious about that.
Looks great ! But to much big .. Will be really great to see a 4000mah or 4500mah with cover a little bit bigger but not like this one

Easy killer. I clearly asked "if" that's what they do - and yes i used my own screen on time of 5 hours as estimate, but only because the last 3 in a row non-MPJ ebay batteries purchased ended up being totally bogus. Literally half capacity.
As it turns out - YOU WERE RIGHT, i bought a pair of 3000mah MPJ replacments for the stock battery, and while the battery discharge graph is very strange and shows charging-sloped-inclines during sleep (5%-10% spikes of battery remaining) you absolutely do get every advertised mah. They last as long as the stock battery.
Thanks for the recommendation
I will just stick to quick charge and 2 batteries. I spend a lot of time on the slopes so I would rather swap batteries then have bulk in my pocket
But by this way you are adding a lot of pressure on your phone charging Circuit and maybe your are shorting its age!
