It's been a while since last flashed the phone so I may need some help now.
I didn't CID/SIM unlocked the phone but I have received the network unlock code from my operator. I am using other operator's SIM with no problem.
Do I still need to go to 1.xx and CID unlock the phone before upgrading to WM6 or I just need to put 2.26 IPL/SPL ROM to be able to upgrade to WM6. Is there a greater risk of having the phone stucked with network unlocking code required then with the normally locked phone? Will I be able to reuse the unlocking code?

Use WST to check the CID status. If still CID locked then you must downgrade to unlock the CID. Only then you can upgrade to WM6 (but only after upgrading IPL/SPL to 2.xx or higher)

Well,you already have a CID unlocked phone,there's no need to downgrade to 1.xx and CID unlock the phone,but as you say you got a network SIM unlock code and can easily use SIM of any other network,then there's also no need to downgrade to 1.xx and SIM unlock the phone,The Sim unlock has got nothing to do with upgrade to wm6,as its only concerned with using different SIM.Secondly you already have !PL/SPL 2.xx,you can upgrade to wm6,although its highly recommended to flash the T-mobile 2.26,as its proved to be a solid base,but you can still upgrade to any wm6 with your present IPL/SPL 2.24.

originally i've had k-jam ROM on my wizard but then i've flashed it using aWizard with Qtek ROM and then using RUU with RadioROM. before flashing process i did CID unlock of course. but now i'd like to flash it again with this RUU:

but i've a bit doubt about CID unlock, so my questions are:
1) do i have to do it again before using RUU?
2) does this RUU lock CID again so after flashing wizard with RUU will i need to unlock it later?

HardSPL isn't CID unlocking; is 'simply' patching a modified SPL (hence the name) to fool the bootloader into allowing flashing any ROM.
When WST checks the CID status it reads the CID block zone (which wasn't touched) thus reporting the REAL CID status

The details posted lead me to believe you have a WM5 but can't be sure
As for the update tool you must try to use the ones posted by the cooks of the most recent ROMs
I don't know where you were told the ROM recommendation isn't allowed . What more experienced users say is that there are so many good ones that it gets hard to choose from. My favorites at the moment are the TNT ROMs

I have here an spv M3000 with which the IPL number (IPL 2,21) never changes. Also only English ROM's can be installed.
I have already try unlock with Lokiwiz.
It writes also the BIN- Files.
However no german firmware can be still installed.
Possibly one can help me.

Not sure why doesn't change the languaje but most roms doesn't include ipl, spl or extendend rom and probably thats why never changes... about languaje no idea, mine is still cid locked and haven´t tried to change languaje i prefer english (i speak spanish but nobody else uses mi phone so no problem)...

'Bricked' means it doesn't even turn on!!
Unless you REALLY REALLY want to have IPL and SPL with same values i don't see why bother changing the bootloaders and since WST managed to get all that info your phone is working perfectly
Even more, as you already have it CID unlocked you can flash any ROM (without IPL/SPL)
i never can flashed the spv m3000 with the ROM_UPDATER 2.00.1 ERROR 300
the M3000 starts only to the bootloader i can flashed with the Wizard_Love_2.26.10.2_WWE_Novii_CF2 but after restar thormat failde M3000 starts to the 3 color mode
When i was made an hardreset but the File format faild.

the IPL is 2.21 and the SPS is 2.18.0001
Just try again, from bootloader mode you can still upgrade roms with the same program... it recognizes the USB port by itself... well. I tried this when rom upgrade didn´t work and i normally have to use the original rom and later try to change it again...

My cell is a Cingular 8125. I was reviewing the tutorial of how I can find if my cell is a G3 or G4.

Your phone is a G3 device with CID already unlocked and upgraded to IPL/SPL 3.08 (Bootloaders) thats why its working with wm 6.1 OS.
Just download the rom of your choice,hook up the phone with pc via usb cable and run the RUU in the downloaded rom,there's no other procedure to do any further.

Well I had very trippy upgrade experience , I have here Imate Kjam (Wizard) and decided to upgrade. I got Button ROM flashed ( took two tries ). below is how WST reported info.
NOTE IPL.SPL here, Before Button flash, i tried several methods to unlock CID.

Upgrading to 3.08 won't give you phenomenal boost in performance,but just a slightly faster boot up,which is hardly noticeable,hope you got my point !
