Brilliant Stereo Bluetoot headset-Bluetrek ST1 - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

I bought this headset a week ago and I can highly recommend it for the TyTN II.
It comes complete with SRS WOW presets.
You can check it out here:
http://www.bluetrek.com/products/st1/index.htm

Yeah you can't go wrong with Bluetrek. Good choice.

bluetrek st1 and vista?
Just got mine today
Where do I find drivers to use it with windows media player in vista? Everything setup except headset option under bluetooth devices...

Looks good, can you confirm whether they hold up to use in the gym?
I found my motorolla s9 pretty good, but the buttons have been affected by sweat and no longer function properly

Dunno about that one as I don't go to gym. What I can say is that it holds up to jet setting!!!

Bluetooth Watch w/ Vib

Not sure if you guys have seen this or not, there have been a few posts here in the Athena group about the Sony(Abacus/Fossil) Bluetooth watches and the new Bluetooth Vibrating bracelet.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=362218
I have 2 of the Abacus Mobile Wear Bluetooth watches and they work great with the X7500 and my HP ipaq 510 smartphone, I am able to use the watch for CallerID, SMS, Email, MMS notifications with vibrate WHILE having my Jabra BT8010 connected.
its freeware, but I am donating as it is great software.

Thank for info...
But I prefer my TAG he.. he...
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
It works well
I have got the MDW-150 Executive it works realy well
New p PK with widc? omm stack
Hi guys, first post
I got a MBW150 for £82 from ebay, sweet, it took me some time to get it working but eventually I managed it in port 9, there are talks that the new PK4 rom may include the widcomm bluetooth stack and now I am wondering how this will affect the watch.
OK, I'm intrigued. Anyone know differences between Abacus and the 3 models of Sony-Ericsson (executive, music, classic) -- price, but anything else as far as features? One thing that would be sweet is if it sync'ed the time (including changing time zones), but doesn't look like that happens from what I read. Any other thoughts? Think I might need one of these, heh heh.

I think the Abacus is the same as the MBW-100 so no media player controls.
The digital time on the oled display is sync'ed but the analogue hands have to be manualy adjusted.

Thanks, think I'll take a try on the MBW-150. Are you using smartWatchM or btWatch? Looks like more features with smartWatchM but btWatch may be simpler to use...

I am now using the smartWatchM as Moneytoo has sorted the connection issues and the functionality is much better. btWatch is easier to set up and Pcfixitman keeps adding functions so it is a matter of trying both and seeing which one you like.
wgary
Another thing to take in to consideration is the headset you use, I got the Sony Ericsson HBH DS970 this is an stereo headset, when working alone is very good, the wactch works OK also but working together, they interfere with each other, the music stop-start and do not want to play properly, and the outgoing sound of the calls is bad.
Is as if the athena could no run both at the same time, perhaps the reason is that the headset and watch have booth similar functionality.
I believe the Nokia HS-12W works well, but do your research
OK I'm back to test some more

btWatch is develop with MBW-100 in mind, and smartWatchM is more apropriate for MBW-150, this is my opinion. I am now using the smartWatchM also.
Both of them are great applications, and I take the opportunity to thank again to the developers.

After reading this thread, I decided to take the plunge and buy the MBW-150 "regular edition."
General Impressions
1. Moneytoo, along with pcfixitman, have done an awesome job in making this a totally fantastic device. I have gotten SWM working, and everything works as advertised, although see a few small caveats below. I am totally blown away by how cool this is. The screen shots don't do it justice. Very well designed and functional.
2. I thought the watch might be heavy and cumbersome, not so. Quite comfortable. A little on the large side, but generally stylish looks.
3. I have an Athena (HTC Advantage), which is a monster. I was relying on a Jabra BT8010 to vibrate and provide "remote" functionality. That is totally primitive next to the MBW-150.
4. Settings in the program work well.
Installation Experience
Getting it to work was challenging. Here were the "keys" to my success on the Advantage:
1. Follow the directions in post 1 exactly.
2. Adjust the registry settings to set up COM1, as suggested by paultnl, since COM6 seems not to be available on the Advantage. (I had no luck with the configuration program, did this using Resco File Explorer.) Changes:
First key, change PORT to COM1
Second key, change name to BTD_COM1 and change index to 1.
3. I'm not sure if this step was necessary, but it seemed to work. (Coincidence?) I kept getting IOException errors. After checking around, I installed .NET CF3.5 http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...49-3c6b-42f1-9fd9-0041345b3385&displaylang=en
After that the errors stopped. Mostly.
4. The following suggestion (linked from Post 1) on startup procedure on the phone was necessary for me:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1871441&postcount=46
Caveats/Suggestions
As I said to begin with, the concept and execution are excellent! All features have worked as advertised. I do have a few small items that I haven't quite worked out. Maybe it's a bug, maybe I don't quite understand.
1. Reconnection seems to be an issue. I had it working last night. Walked out of range, but it wouldn't reconnect when I came back in range. In fact, nothing I did would reconnect. I finally deleted the pairing and repaired. Then it worked. It would be great if this could improved, or maybe someone can enlighten me.
2. Appointments do work. But it seems like the next appointment won't show until the current one is finished. It would be nice to scroll to upcoming ones...
3. WMP option didn't work that well. But not a big deal for me, actually couldn't care less since I use CorePlayer.
4. The volume control/select method is a little cumbersome. It does work, but hard to hit the feature you want to times.
5. It would be nice if the setting would revert to the last event. That is, if a text message comes in, hitting middle key would bring that info. Just a thought.
6. Documentation on the phone and program are "sparse". Took a little experimentation. Here's the quick guide:
* Lower right key: Set watch modes -- BT on/off, etc. (Upper right key toggles the mode)
* Upper right key: Display date, date, SWM current info by successive taps.
* Upper/lower left key: "Volume controls" -- use these to select what function you want to display. Length of bar corresponds to the "numbers" in post 1, but the numbers aren't shown. To make the function appear:
* Middle left key: Invoke SWM function. (Note: if displays date or time, hit upper right key to bring it back)
Summary
The combination of this watch and SWM is totally awesome. I feel so **** Tracy/Star Trek/... Even better, it really works and is really useful! A little "donation" to keep up the excellent work will follow. Awesome work, you guys!

Good It worked for you
I feel is the ideal companion for the Athena, and the 150 looks cool or what.
couple of things, there is an easier way to install without playing with the registry for those that like to try
1-copy SWMconfig by PCFixman to theAthena (any whwere, I have it in my hard driver)
2-install smartwatch by Money too to the athena (in device) but do not power it yet
pair the watch with Athena, Athena will give you an error, just press next
3-Find SWMconfig where you put it into the Athena click on it, the program start and you can chose a port, click set and it display OK, exit and reestart the athena (fully switch off)
4-Switch on the Athena and fire smartwatch, click menu>start
DONE,
If it does not work, close smartwatch ( (menu>close) repet step 3 and 4 until you find a port that work for you, mine works with ports 0 and 9
To test, while in smartwatch ,Menu>test
Also ( Im using version 2 of the App)pressing left center sort in the watch gives you a function, pressing long gives you another
EG: Volume at 6 sort left centre gives profile and operator, long gives battery and signal
Pity doesn't want to play ball with my HBH DS970
It play with my Jabra BT8010 but I prefer the DS970 for several reasons.
Regards and enjoy your new toy
it is a shame about the 970, as this will be my combination too
For those who do not already know, these watches are designed by Fossil for Sony, the collaboration went both ways, with Fossil bringing out a non Sony branded watch, it is functionally identical to the Sony MBW-100 but does not have the ability to control music
Maplin are selling them new for £115

what about compatibility with the 150, also functionality?
Isn't btwatch geared more to the mmbw 100 type?
Cheers
I am using smartWatchM 0.2.0.2 with good success. I do not use the autoconnect because it sometimes has issues. My method which has proved very reliable: (1) turn BT off on the watch, (2) start smartWatchM and tell it to start, (3) turn BT on on the watch and wait until the messages on the phone screen end, (4) push middle left button to connect. After that, it works quite reliably. On one occasion, I lost connection (went out of range for a long time) and it wouldn't reconnect when I got back. I did a soft reset and repeated the steps above and all was well. Other than that one time, it stays connected all day and even reconnects when I get back in range. It works really well.
However, I am awaiting the next version of btWatch which will have a new menu structure to try that out. I used it briefly. Set up and connection do seem simpler. But SWM seems to be more compatible with the 150, just my opinion. In summary, it's great to have two good options!

Y'know, I've been glancing at that thread on & off for a bit now, but I juuuuuust noticed the key part in your post I've been looking for:
"WHILE having my Jabra BT8010 connected"
So no problems having the watch do all those functions & still use the same headset as I'm using now for actual talking! I can't believe I missed that before.
Did you try both of the software's (btWatch and SmartWatchM) ?

Yes, the BT8010 and SmartWatchM play together nicely. I did have some issues with btWatch. The latest version of SmartWatchM made connection a little easier. I do like btWatch's interface, but it needs some further refinement--features and integration with BT headset.

Equalizer for Bluetooth / Car Sterio / Headset / Programers please hear this call...

Well i notice more and more people joining my clubb of having the trubble of bad sound in there cars or Bluetooth Headsets Sins Htc Diamond Fails with the Equalizer totaly exapt for when you have a cabel headset.
The the Audiobooster or as i would like to call it Retardbooster sins the guy that came upp with it must be an idiot when more and more uses Bluetooth connection to there headset or Cars..
I have tried Audiomanager, S2p among other players and none of them had a equlizer that would work against the Bluetooth.
Sins the others did either not have any effekt @ all OR they only worked with a cabel headset.
I went and buyed Coreplayer sins i was going to use that anyway for watching movies when ever im not using my car. And WOLA!
Coreplayers Equalizer works in the Bluetooth sets ALLSO.
But here comes the but. It has its flaws. Skip and backwards command for cars of headsets does not work. And the buttons are so small theres no way i would try picking them when im driving my car. for others and mine safty.
BUT this Shows that a stand along Equalizing program thats using the inbuilt player should be np to make?
Why would i wanna use the one thats build in?
1. Skip and Backwards command works in cars and with BT headsets.
2. Toutch commands works
3. looks good.
I would have no problem using s2p if that would have a equalizing program that works towards BT sins its has about the same futures as the inbuilt one.
Please people Help me and the others with this problem. Cause if this problem would be gone then many of us would be less irritated by this problem.
it's my wishlist also, an equalizer which works with bluetooth headset and AVRCP which works with all media players, not only HTC music player and WMP.
I realy have been looking to solv this problem for a long time now. there are tons of program for other Htc phones but none will work on the diamonds BT problem sadly..
So is there no one that has a clue how to fix this problem with the diamond?

Well problem it that Mortplayer my or may not have toutch funktion. Im gonna check it out now.
The second one posted was not an option. Im not paying for a program that does the same things as coreplayer
If i am to pay again i will pay for getting a program that either can just emulate the sound for the inbuilt player.
Or a program that fits all the first options i was talking about.
Well Tried Mortplayer now and that one was worst then coreplayer.
It had bigger buttons and you could style it witch is a big +
But still its not paying any atentions to bluetooth commands like skip and backwards.
Both coreplayer and Mortplayer seems to be using another codec then the standard player in diamond (atleast that is what it seems like.)
Im more and more comming to the conclution that whats needed is just a EQUALIZER that equalizes the normal sound of the phone. Sins that is what the bluetooth is aiming it sounds towards....
So what we need is a stand alone equalizing program that can be activated without hearphones being connected.
im having the exact same issue with my touchpro and someone said come search in diamond forum and of course just problems no solutions
i will add mysalf behind the line, funny that there just a few replys...
also it woud be nice to use the htc radio over BT, jack sh**t, the EQ an RADIO to use with wired headset, i thought it is 2009?!?!!? microsoft?!?!
I use a program called pocket player. When you install it asks you if you want to install a plugin to work with bluetooth commands. I use it in my car and it works fine. Sound is great, fast buffering, bluetooth controls work fine. Give it a try. Maybe download the trial version first.
hope this helps.

Folks,
I've been using this one on HD Jabra BT3030 Stereo. My HD2 is on its way and should be here wednesday the lastest but what I can say is that this one is really amazing. It is able to give you control over volume up/down, music rewind/forward and next/previous function of the HTC player. Having that you will never need to take it out of the case for making calls or hearing music. On HTC its also supporting the Voice calling.
But as I said, not tested it on HD2 yet. I will give it a try and post my result here as soon as my HD2 is there.

how to make the hd2 play music through the bluetooth headset? i have a sony headset added as a bluetooth device with the stereo headset option ticked. also i am able to use it for phone calls but not music.
I am using the bt3030 from jabra also, but instead of the jabra earbuds,i buyed senneheiser cx300 precision, combine this with srs wow hd and do some bluetooth tweaking like verry high bitrate etc and you got some booming bass on the head with nice and clear treble, and clear mid tones....whoooo
Sony Ericsson MW600 - Both for phone and stereo bluetooth. It has a small display, dipslays caller ID for contacts, you can adjust volume (although the slider takes a little getting used too, it is much more linear than the HD2 controls), has a 2.5mm headset jack so you can replace the headset with whatever you choose. Great sound reproduction from standard headphones. Fantastic battery life. Uses micro-usb to charge, so is compatible with HTC HD2 chargers. You can pair with multiple devices. Has worked flawlessly for me. Paid $75 AUS Dollars

the volume control is easy. the manual says that you need to slide across the whole slider to activate volume then you can just slide to the desired volume. works great. highly recommend this headset. also payed about $80 aud online for it.
Hi,
Personnaly, I am using IQUA BHS-701. It is light, good balance between quality and price. Very good sound (phone and music)good bass. It is the best one for jogging according my knwoledge. It has it's own volume contrôle, overiding the HD2 one. there is mini USB slot to charge it. The disign philosophie is close to the jabra. Reception disance is good. Finally it is a 83grams headfone and it last 10 hrs music.
Motorola S9 or Jaybird work great!
Both are "waterproof". I also use WOW (free ap) - try the Jaybird first - they won't be comfortable for everyone.

HD2 and sony erricson mw600 review

Hey guys, i`ve been browsing the site for a while and thought it about time to make an original contribution. I was looking for a blue tooth headset and my searches here lead me to the MW600. quite a few people were asking about it so i thought it a good opportunity to give my review now that i have one!
from the start then, i bought this as i have a very nice pair of headphones i wanted to use with the phone, but could not be doing with cords. most bluetooth headsets have their own headphones which i get along with even less. this seemed a perfect solution to both problems.
the box it comes in is flimsy at best, indeed the plastic tab to hang the box on is completely lose, useless for hanging up in a shop.
out the box, its a lot smaller than i imagined but a bit thicker too. it comes with a charger that handily also fits the HD2 which is an added bonus and un expected!
when i paired up to the phone i was very surprised to find that the unit displayed the song info correctly. i honestly did not expect this to work outside of a sony erricson phone but it works! the next track and previous track buttons work as well, as does the play and stop buttons.
the hands free works fine as well with the person who called me not knowing i was on a hands free.
the volume control is awful, they decided to use a slider that half the time does not register me raising the volume and when it does its impossible to get the right volume setup, its either too high or too low and the slider is too imprecise to get the setting i want!
I cannot comment on the enclosed head phones as i never used them!
When i play some music through the device ( and that is of course what its for) the results are slightly dispaointing. the sound is okay, but that is about as best as i can describe it. maybe its because i am spoilt by the good quality output from the 3.5mm jack on the phone, maybe i am just used to having some EQ on (which the unit does not provide for and the phone says it cannot apply `audio booser` without somer thing being plugged in the 3.5mm jack) but the bass is there (thanks on no small part to the ehadphones rather than the unit) but the mid seems `transparent` with no real hit and the highs are annoyingly 'sparkly'. This os of course my opinion, and others may find the output perfectly fine and for comparison i also do not like the output of ipods as i find their mid lacking as well so if your happy with i pod output you maybe happy with this units output,
I have never needed to re charge the unit yet after 3 days of having it and listing to it in the morning for 2 hours and on the way home for an hour so the battery seems quite good.
I love the unit but the quality of the output means i will only really use it when i have to, prefering to use the audio jack output, i am however going to look into how the unit works as i suspect the phone is sending SBD encode audio and not the native mp3. if i can ge tthe unit to decode MP3 and the phone to send mp3 then i think we have a winner!
For reference i used CD originals encoded to lame 3.98 -V1.
just ordered mine. thanks for the review. i will also post up my opinion of the headset when it arrives. if it is as good as the include wired version, that will be good enough for me.
Hey thanks for the review as I'm getting one but you didn't speak about the radio does it work? anything else? cheers mate
Thanks for your review.
But could you edit it so that it's not so hard to read?
Spaces between a few sentences would suffice.
Thanks for the review, install WOW SRS and it should improve the sound quality via bluetooth but it will kill audio booster when plugged with the 3.5mm jack and always use WOW SRS.
Vrery nice, all working apart from Cyberon voice dialer, you can initiate Cyberon voice application by clicking the phone button on headset but can't pass voice to the phone as it doesn't recognize voice. It looks like the problem relates to cyberon not mw600.

headphones arrived today. WOW. excellent audio and far better than oem headphones. have yet to play with it on radio etc, but so far very impressive.
I have a problem
After the end of any audio file
Lose "stereo audio" connection
and have to push the play button to reconnect "stereo audio"
and also
After the end of calls
Lose "Hands Free" connection
and have to push the Talk button to reconnect "Hands Free"
but if i received a call
"Hands Free" reconnect automatically
But there is a delay for two seconds
I do not know this is normal?
Like power autosaving!!!
this is definately not normal. mine works flawlessly. no need to reconnect ever. i would suggest checking your bluetooth settings and pairing settings again to make sure everything is correct.
I am using smartWatchM with Sony Ericsson MBW-150
I think there is a conflict between the Watch and mw600 connection
The problem is from latest windows build (23569) & (21903 )
When i go back to an old build like (23519)
There is no conflict between the Watch and mw600 connection
Waiting for a solution to this problem or update for Windows without problems
Delays
Does anyone else experience a 3-5 sec delay when the HD2 jumps 1 song/chapter forward?
My combination gives a this delay, which is especially annoying when listening to audiobooks!
I miss a few seconds of every new chapter, need to manually jump 1 chapter forward and the back again.
Does not appear when manually going forward/reverse only when HD2 is in control.

Cool Bluetooth Audio Streaming/Phone Calls Device

I bought a cool little device today that does bluetooth audio streaming and also offers a handsfree phone solution for cars that have an AUX jack.
It's called a Griffin BlueTrip. I got it at my local Apple store and so far I have to say it works really well.
The phone aspect of it is just OK but for the price of the device it does the job well enough for me.
I can press the button and tell it who to call and it works pretty well so far. Press the button to hang up if you like etc...
People that I called said I sounded OK... I sounded like I was on a speaker phone but they could understand me without any issues and they said it sounded like there was some wind noise behind me.. but not too bad. Comparing it to how another family member sounds on their factory car bluetooth solution on a scale of 1-10 they said it was about a 7 to 8.
I used Winamp Shoutcast to test the audio and it sounded great (audio streaming is the main reason that I purchased the device.. the phone is just a bonus).
The device appears to remember the pairing with my Nexus S just fine after the car is shut off and started again.
I'll be using it day to day and I have two weeks to return it if I decide it wasn't worth it but so far I think it's great.
It also has a low profile.. so it's not this big messy wiring fiasco.

Belkin also makes a similar product but I haven't used it or heard anything about it. Their's is called AirCast I think.
I think the Kensington version is a better featured and cheaper solution

I bought it off Amazon for $40.00 and it works perfectly.
