Games
and other applications..

LOL
Are you really asking how to install a CAB file????? No wonder no one wants to help you..............
First transfer the CAB file to your phone/storage card(remember where you put the file, you will need to know to locate it on the phone).
Go to Start, Programs, and File Explorer.....Navigate to the folder you put the CAB file into and OPEN it, once opened it will automatically start installing.
I am assuming based on your question that its probably gonna ask you if you really want to install because it might not be a trusted certificate just click YES
Now its going to ask you where to install to.....option 1 the DEVICE.........option 2...........Storage Card(if you don't have a storage card then obviously there will be no options and it will just install)
Last, If you can't perform any of the above steps PLEASE don't even try OR attempt anything on this forum. Thread should be closed.

lol..kobe u went in too much detail trying to explain that..
man you have some patience..nice
i would have just said run the cab file from your phone..lol

Smoka PM me i'll make a video and send it to you so you can see how it's done.

No offense, but I'm a Noob on this forum and I know how to install a cab. BTW, I'm a girl.

Redundant thread alert ***
Why would you start another thread asking the same question when you got more than an answer in your original thread....

Send me your phone and I'll install it for you....

Lol chapman. Play nice. I was trying to help the super noob.

TomTom Problems

Ive searched the forum for a couple of hours and i cant find a solution to my questions so i thought id create a new thread.
i have downloaded TomTom, i have the .cab file and the .exe file but neither seem to work.
when executing the .exe file i get to the window where it says 'modify, repair, delete' and then the programs closes. if i pick modify it asks me to do a soft reset, which i do and then nothing happens again after that.
when trying to install the .cab it says i need to update my rom version.
i have just flashed duttys 6.1 rom so wondering what could be the problem?
i have been trying to install tomtom for some time now and i would appreciate any help.
cheers
Hi
What .exe file r u talking about? You only need to copy the .cab file to your phone first, then run it from your phone. As for maps use tomtom HOME software...go to tomtom web site to get it..& install on your comp then use it to install the maps. There's a freebie small map to try though with tomtom if it's your first time using it.

The posted thread doesn't relate to the original problem. He can't install the tomtom software. Make sure you have version 6.032.8351 tomtom .cab
My tomtom works just fine.
as stated above my question is not answered, and yes i have searched for hours.
i have the 'Installer_Kaiser_ttn_6_032_8351_HTC_WWE_20070716' .exe file that someone posted on another thread somewhere on here but i cant seem to find it anymore...and i also have the 'ttn_6_032_8351_HTCWWE_Kaiser' .cab file...i know these are just two different types of installation, im just explaining that i have both, and im having trouble with both.
i know that you just put the .cab on the phone and it installs but i get the error message saying a rom needs to be updated.
and with the .exe file do i need to download anything extra before executing it from my pc?
thanks

OK let me clarify this. YOu have flashed dutty 6.1 ROM on your phone successfully correct? If so...
the posted .exe you don't need it..to install tomtom software
and the .cab file posted the name of it doesn't look right..
if you have an email address I can try to email the one I use for you.

that link above is pretty interesting...never encountered that. Kill all apps that could be causing conflict. If that still doesn't work, try using another cab. I have WM 6.1 3.02 version and mine works totally fine.

Help for a beginner?

Hi everyone, before I start please don't laugh as I require some real basic help?
I have never owned a pocket PC before and for some reason I thought it would be a good idea which it was but I find the diamond a little slow, so I went on Here to see what you pros make of it, and I was amazed to find people had tweaked it with the advanced config, now this is where it gets silly...
I need help really like step by step what to do to install this, if someone could help I would really appriciate it, thanks again, I know you guys are to advanced for this stuff but would really appriciate the help, cheers again!
Are you asking how to install a .cab? simply copy it to your phone and run it from there. These things, and probably all other questions you might have is covered in many threads. Seraching for stuff is a good way to learn, and helps keeping the forum tidy, but beware and use the "search" and not just "search this thread". Welcome to the forum and may it enlighten you in the same ways it did for me

Download the file, advanced config...connect phone to pc and make sure its synched. Take the advanced config file and copy it over to your phones internal memory. Disconnect your phone...open up file explorer and navigate to where you have copied the file....click on the file ie advanced config and it will install onto your phone...install in the device memory when it asks. Once its done installing, your ready to go. Just go to programs and open up advanced config and make the changes you want.
Remember to soft reset the device after every change you make...or else it wont take effect.
here you go!
good luck!

That could be a pretty nice site if it were more wiki-styled.
thanks guys, you guys are stars, I think this phone is a bit to advanced for me !
I have tried instlling the Advanced Config, but it doesn't show up on my Diamond. This is what I did:
Downloaded the .cab file, transferred it to the Diamond in the device root.
Disconnected, clicked the .cab file. It seems to install, I even get the confirmation message that it was installed on the device. And then it's gone, can't find the program anywhere.....
Where did I go wrong????
Maybe its inside Start > Settings..
Check it there..
Regards,
Carty..
Thanks, but it is nowhere to be found. Nothing in Start > settings, nothing in Start > programs. Am I supposed to install both .cab and .zip files? I've now tried installing it on both my wife's and my own Diamond, with the same (missing) result on both devices. And I just can't figure out what the h*** I'm doing wrong! I've tried downloading with both IE7 and Firefox 3.0....
My ROM version is: 1.37.409.3 NOR

How to delete CABs in Windows Folder?

Even thought I did a bloatless install I found all of the bloatware cab files in my windows folder. Since I will never use any of this junk how do I delete them without WM6.1 telling me I can't?
They're a part of the ROM usually, which means that you can't deleted them.
The easiest way to delete them is to install ROMeOS Rom. Here's a link, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=421001.

im sorry, but i really do not see the point of this. i doubt that when he posted this question, he wanted a response like this one. is it so difficult to give someone a straightforward answer to a straightforward question? even though romeos is a very great rom
like kareem said, you usually cannot delete them

or you can check whether the ROM is US compliant, this is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=432707 the good example where to start. UC is good as it is much simple but needs UC compliant ROM and CAB cannot be installed to SD cards. Sashimi offers more flexibility but ...
I wonder was the attachment the Mod removed SASHIMI? I've been looking for that CAB all over since Bengliah has apparently been banned.....I found another site http://www.winmo-experts.com and Bengliah is there and talking about SASHIMI but I still can't seem to find that CAB in that forum. :x
While Bengliah thought he got treated unfairly here ( water under the bridge for both sides I had hoped, but apparently not) and does not wish any of his work posted here, he still has a great program in SASHIMI. And is more than happy to share it and support it on his site.
Just join his forum here and share his great work.

[HELP] Dutty's 3.7 XT Weather modifying

Guys I have just modified the 2330..bla manila file following the guide in the Sticky. Everything is ok expect one thing, I did everything, added my city (Lugano, Switzerland). When i go to weather tab and i choose my city it says connection error, but every other city works great :S Can you please help me?
I'm having no luck either.
The instructions regarding SQLite don't work for me. Should point out you need to take off the Read Only flag else SQLite browser won't save your changes. The cities are added ok, and now selectable, but they do not update the weather. Keeps saying connection error (attempted many retries too), just for the custom ones. The default cities update fine.

Hi,
Why dont you shearch before you open a new Thread !?
you can find about the weather connection etc. in many threads.
BTW there Allready is a DUTTY 3.7 Thread, so i think there is no reason to open a new thread !
Good night ( when you ask a question in the thread about the rom you use, You might get help allot faster )
hi all
i had the same problem with the weather using david uk rom the latest one.
This what i did and it worked for me
1. find HH_0409 weathercities_xml file in windows
its under HKEY_Current User\Software\Manilla.
2. Copy the file somewhere on desktop also make a backup of file incase need to replace it.
3. Open it with note pad and change a city which u are not likely to use, find the city code from Accu Weather website and replace all the code.
4. Save the file and copy it back to phone ( i put it in my documents folder) use total commander and replace the existing file.
5. Go in HTC Weather and add new location and file will be there for u to use. Worked for me so hopefully will work for u also.
Tried installing Weather Database but Touch Flo kept crashing tried loads of versions but same result so i tried this method and bingo it worked .
Hope this helps
Thanks
Eggie

2. Copy the 2330dc3c_manila to storage card
3. use total commander / resco explorer copy 2330dc3c_manila file to /windows (OVERWRITE IT)
(if you update now, u will receive connection error)
4. install the weather master 1.3
5. run weather master once.
6. turn off the touch flo 3d
7. copy 2330dc3c_manila to windows/ (Do This AGAIN)
8. delete forecast_cache at Application Data\HTC\databases
9. turn on your tf3d

Sometimes a search returns so many results it's all but impossible to find the answer, unless you've been lucky with your chosen search terms.
If you've found the answer, a better way to educate people in the ways of searching might be to tell them what search terms you used. A link to the answer that you found by searching will also be useful.
This is a huge forum, with hundreds of threads and many thousands of posts, and tracking down the few posts that might help with an issue can sometimes be very difficult.

Please try and follow forum rules and don't open new threads unless absolutely necessary!!
I agree that it can be hard to find answers especially in long threads, but if search didn't help, why not ask this question within thread. There is already a discussion at present in Duttys V3.7 thread about this subject with possible solutions so NO need to open new thread
Thanx
