OP, can you share how you did your homescreen?

first of all thanks for sharing...
I installed the cab file , and copy the 2 .bmp files to \windows folder and then I performed a soft reset(!) , but now I have the black iphone dialpad with only DELETE button replaced with the HTC one , I tried more and more but I can not see the silver dialpad ... where the prob. is?

Works great on a htc P3600 Trinity

good work... thx...
can you share Today,please...

Mod Edit: I have edited your comment because we actively avoid debating religious issues here. Hopefully we can all co-exist, respect each other and concentrate on discussing our phones. I had seen that members signature and thought it was not overly provocative but we may have to reconsider that view if others use it to start religious debates.

for me too only black pad no silver hm...

ok my friend, i had the same problem, so the solution is as follows: before u copy the two bmp files, u need to rename the PcvDialerBkP2.bmp to PcvDialerBkP.bmp.
thats it, soft reset, and it worked for me

yeah...that's it , many many thanks.

ooops, sorry you guys are right I changed the file name when I was drawing the graphics and I forgot to change it back, thanks for pointing it out, I fixed it now so you don't have to change anything

Yes, rename the black to 123
I got it figured. I went in and change the black dial pad with an additonal 123(so in case I want to reuse the dial pad again). Then I change the white dialpad to the same as the black one. Soft reset and done.

Great dialer thanks.
Can anyone post the original 2 bitmap dialer files? I forgot to back up mine.

Changing Button Size on AT&T Tilt Dialpad

I want to change the size of the buttons on the dialpad. I have found the approriate files and registry setting, have changed the size of the .bmp files, but when I look at the dialer, the buttons are "cutoff" as the distance between the buttons has NOT changed.
So how do you change the distance between the buttons on the dialpad? Is there some file (transparent gif etc) that is holding the space between the buttons?
Thanks,
Robert
You don't. It's part of the program. Only thing I think you can really do is install a different dialer program.
Anyone find a way to install the type of dialpad that comes on the Touch - I tried the cab made to put it on the mogul but it just doesn't fit properly.
Thanks
Here ya go. Install this dialer (I didn't make it, I get no credit & unfortunately I'm an idiot & can't give proper credit to the XDA-DEV member that made it b'cause I can't remember & am currently to lazy to search) but it works.
Just install the cab file & soft reset.

The ZombieNexus skins work just fine with the stock AT&T Dialpad (including the HTC SmartDialer program).

Will look like this... And I'm not sure about on teh Kaiser, but on the Wizard, if you installed this, uninstalling it will not work. So it took a hard reset to go back to the original. Personally I really like how this dialer works (and just put it on my new Tilt) but not everyone likes the changes in it.

HTC Touch Pro Home iconset

I’ve created some new icons and made little changes to the HTC Home plugin’s graphic files because I wanted them to fit a little better to the Touch Cube style, and keep that somehow professional look.
Download and unpack the HTC_Touch_Pro_home zip file and you’ll find the install options inside.
You will have the original graphic files too, if you want to change them back later.
Download HTC_New_Default.tsk also, if you still don’t have it.
You should donate my work if you like it! Thank you very much!
Nice iconset, they really do look good.
You should contact emunutz at PocketEmu Software
so he can add your icon pack to his HTC Home Customizer.
Your icons would be available to many more users and
it would be much easier to install them.
Good job!
mice wrk ! ! ! !
I LK it
Thank you!
GAMBIT999: Thanks, I will contact pocketemu.

Hello!
Before you copy the files to your device you have to disable the htc home plugin:
Settings/Today/Items/HTC Home
after this you can copy the files and can replace the originals
hhc
is there any way to use this icons with the Htc home customizer? I think I have to rename the files and put them into a folder....

i don't use hhc so i don't really know, but a guy from pocketemu sent me an e-mail that he will add my icons to the HHC. visit the pocketemu page and maybe it's already there
Some new things
I have some new little things for those who like them.
You can have a blue backlight for the default HTC clock what I think looks pretty good with my Blue icons.
download and extract Bluelite.zip and put the 3 files to the /Windows folder of your device.
1. You have to disable the HTC Home plugin first:
Settings/Today/Items/HTC Home
2. Then you can copy and replace the original files.
3. Enable the HTC Home again and that's all
The other file is just a replacement for the default contact picture in the PocketCM. You can have my blue person icon as default.
Copy the png file to the /Windows folder. That's all.
Cool Man!! They Are Very Cool!! Just Fit Htc Style!
Thanks!

TF3D Email Tab Remove Envelope

I have seen a few people remove the envelope so you can read more on the email preview. ITNV sent me 2 manila files and they worked like a charm. I'm using Herg's V6 Flip clock TF3D, so I haven't tested on stock Fuze or other TF3D themes. I would highly suggest you use Total Commander and back up the 2 manila files that are in your windows folder, then copy these to see if they work.
My basic steps, I used total commander, and looked in the windows director and found the 2 manila files and copied them as a backup.
77fb7fad_manila
21449ae5_manila
I went to settings, Today and turned OFF TF3D.
Then I took these 2 manila files that are the same name (and came from ITNV-Thank you) and copied them to the windows directory and clicked overwrite.
I then went back to settings, Today and turned ON TF3D and bam, the envelope is now behind the message, and I can read the a lot more than 2 lines. I've been looking for this for a while, hope it can help you as it has me.
Didn't Upload First Post
Sorry about that, they should be on this post.

The envelop was behind, however I only saw two lines of text still. Can post a pic and also did you do anything else beside replacing the files
Sorry
I got these files from ITNV, and he said he was pretty sure this got it done for him, no guarantees. Sorry if this didn't work. All I did was write these files over the files that were in my windows folder.
These are the files I had backed up before making the change. "I am using Herg Flip Clock V6" Not sure if the theme or TF3D you are using might make a difference.
Thanks. Great find. Here's a cab that I tested and it works for me. You still have to follow the directions and TURN OFF TF3D BEFORE INSTALLING and I still advise saving a copy of the manila files before installing. I have attached a cab as well as a photo to show what it looks like once installed. I did experience a lock when turning TF3D back on that required a soft reset and then turning TF3D back on but there were no other performance issues once restarted. These cabs do nothing more than add the files cparkhorn provided. There is a cab to remove the envelope and another one to add the envelope back. Thanks again
Edit: Seems to be working so I posted something on it here: http://www.fuzemobility.com/?p=1828
Thanks again
Worked as stated, thanks for the cab btw it made the process that much easier
Thanks for testing - those guys did the hard work of figuring it out...I just made a cab of their work

you must have a different version of TF3D (or at least different manilla files in play). Did you confirm that you do in fact have these two manila files on your Diamond? I want to make sure it was overwriting a file and not just adding one new one and over writing one...

[SKN][REQ] 6.5 WM dialer

Well I think its fairly apparent that M$ is not going to make a newer style native dialer for 6.5 so we may be stuck with the same dialer from the WM5 days.
Is anyone willing to redesign the layout of WM dialer? We have several different skins, but I think a new layout is whats needed for 6.5, perhaps to mimic the HTC dialer, or perhaps different.
Any takers?
Edit: I will update the first post and add in everything that we can come up with for easy access. Thanks to all who support.
+1 for this. Not sure if the layout can be chnged yet, but maybe some skin to make it look changed. Is there some existing skins for this somewhere already?

+1 for the layout change though. There is some unused space at the top that I don't like. The number buttons are not quite finger friendly either. IMO.
Maybe we coud post a zip with all the stock images and reg entries to make it easy on skinners. Can someone put together a zip with all of this stuff and Adam can link it in first post?
I will most likely have a look at this too, but busy at the time being. I'd like to make it look like the HTC dialer, and then go from there.
Not sure if this is the same dialer, but there are a few skins for stock dialer at www.skinzone.org. They were from 6.1, so not sure if they would still work.
EDIT: I gathered up the images real quick, but didn't get the registry yet. Let me know if you think I missed an image.

Sure thing, I will update the first post and add in everything that we can come up with for easy access. Hopefully people will see that something is being done and will join in. It may not hurt to contact some good people with photoshop skills either like Herg and bilbobrian.
Edit: After thinking about it, we may get better coverage if this was moved to the Development and Hacking forum.
I wish they would make the dialer the same as how they have the dial pad for the lock screen...that would be sweet if somebody could make a skin or dialer like that:

Matt, what is the file attached. I noticed the different default theme pictures in the folders, but I am not sure how this file should be used. Is it a program that allows you to choose a theme? If so, which file to you run and do you run from pc over activesync or from the device itself?
If you extact it on your PC, the directories are for cooking and if you run the "make_cabs.bat" you should get a folder called cabs with installable cab files that will change the phone's skin. You need to soft reset to get the phone to use them after you install the cab (or copy the files over in Resco Explorer from the folder of your choice.)
(see attachments - I am using the Blue Drop theme)
big thanks

I doubt this is your problem, but I had to put it out there.
just to let everyone know, i am working on something, I'm toying with going with squared-off buttons (see 6.5 calc for an example) or the lockscreen-esque rounded buttons (similar to mpattman). should have some time this weekend to really polish it.
Rounded buttons.

Dear Trekfan422991,
I downloaded both “iDIAL” & “iCONTACT” CAB files prior to downloading the “Intui-tech Intui-Skins.cab” from http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ onto my HTC HD2 device.
However, I have serious misgivings about the way these applications are offered to the user. I have no doubts that these applications are very useful and indeed do look very nice on the Internet site.
But, the instructions are hazy, misleading and frustrating. For one; a CAB file should be constructed in a way that the user won’t have to apply various other steps in addition to the actual installation in order to make the app work.
If however there is the need for some extra steps taken during and/or after the installation, they should be clearly described in a logical sequence. This is clearly missing from this application.
To be more precise, for a start there are problems with the “iDIAL” & “iCONTACT” applications. Once lodged there is no command to close down these applications other than pressing the return hardware button, which doesn’t really closes these apps. Furthermore, the instruction in “Intui-tech Intui-Skins” that one should use the settings; there are no such function exists in those two apps.
Sure, once I read in your blogs that there are some PNG files to deal with, the issue became a bit clearer, and at the same time more confusing as well, because from the “Intui-tech Intui-Skins” installation guide these were missing.
By this time one really sorry that started the whole business and wishes to remove these apps from the device. Alas, they do not appear under the “Remove Application” list, thus one has to remove them manually from the File Explorer.
Weather or not they left some traces behind is an open question. As to the “Intui-tech Intui-Skins”, it doesn’t appear anywhere in the device, thus it cannot be removed it seems…
I wish that such half-baked applications will not appear on these WM sites, and especially not when the instructions are misleading. I hope that my criticism will be taken as a positive one…

it really sounds to me like you think i made the icontact and idialer apps .....umm.. i did not i only released a couple of skins for them
btw the idialer is th one that doesnt have a setting app and i explained this in my first post on this thread
you can find the icontact setting app under system settings on your device
those instructions for settings and skins and stuff can be found on the actual developers website..
my skins are intended for people who already own icontact and idialer and know how to use them

the only reason i created a cab... (my first cab ever actually)
was to make it easier to place ONE IMAGE EACH in the icontact and idialer program file folder
all my cab does is essentially place an image in a folder
no uninstall was provided for them because it is just one image for each program
and if you know how to change your settings in icontact you dont have to uninstall it just simply select the default skin instead..

in acouple of hours my downloads on fwppc.net have gotten to about 600 downloads and i have no idea how many here
i dont see some one trying to provide constructive criticism but someone very confused about the applications they have downloaded to their device and the developer who created them
what i have taken though positively is i definetly need to provide more information and download at own risk warnings..
so thankyou
hello, I am using icontact BE but this skin doesn't work.. I put the image under the skins folder but it is not available at settings. It's too bad because I was looking for a wvga skin for it, there ara only vga skins...
If you have any idea, please tell me.

Awesome job on this skin man. I installed it and it looks outstanding. Goes great with the dark look I shoot for with my phone. Thanks a bunch!
Looks good brother...
