What is a good holder? - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

Who know a good carholder for the Touch Diamond?
A holder who doesn't squeeze the volume buttons

Never mind i orderd the HR Richter Gripper 3 (mini phone)

The best holder I use is Hanes!

The best holders are usually from Brodit or Arkon. AFAIK neither have yet released a holder for the Diamond or its many varients.

What makes a good holder?
Audi A2
The cup holder is just in the right place.
you can use any thing just be creative

Will the Kaiser fit in a Hermes Car Mount?

I think I'm going to upgrade to the Kaiser, Does anynone know if the car mount for my hermes will work with the Kaiser? Also has anyone that upgraded regret it??
I really just want the GPS so I dont have to carry around my BT GPS reciever. Oh how long does it take to acquire a signal? And how many sats can it track? I will dig into the threads for this but if someone can tell me that would be nice too
Thank you in advance !
How does the car mount for the hermes mounted?
just fyi..
my tilt/kaiser fits into my tytn/8525 metal case with no problems so it would only be logical the car mount wouldn't have any problems. GPS acquisition is about 5 give or take 1 or 2secs(depend on your locaiton(in building/outside). i get about 5 in my room and 8-10 when i'm outside.
apparently from what Ive heard in the accessories forum about this question (which is where you might want to direct this next time) is that the Tilt will fit with the Hermes car mounts, but not perfectly, meaning it might fall out.

I will use the other forum next time, Thank you for your reply thuogh, guess I will need to buy a new car mount
5 seconds silly..
The Kaiser/Tilt fits in the Hermes car mount... but not snugly. If your, a little duct tape in the car mount should fix the problem.
Kaiser seems to need a better view of the sky to lock into satellites... than say a Garmin nuvi.
I've now a kaiser with a hermes car holder. It fits but not perfectly because I think the thickness of kaiser is little less then hermes, so my kaiser is not perfectly hold. It's not a problem for me. The only problem is that the camera button is half pressed when kaiser is on the holder. I don't know if this could be a problem, but I've tested tomtom and bluetooth car kit and I haven't found any problem.
Thank you all!
Thanks for all your input! It has been really helpful I have been decieding to sell the car mount and my BT GPS recv. in one big lot.. I think I will..
For your information:
The USB jack from Kaiser is slightly repositioned (2mm in heights, 3mm in width) compared to the one on Hermes.
The passive Holders without USB Jack should work all fine because outer dimensions fit perfektly.
When using an active Brodit Car Mount like me then u will get into slight problems because the jack doesnt fit anymore. But no reason to panic: Its not a big deal to modify the Holder.
Simply use a sharp knife and seperate the usb-block (where the usb jack and its cable are connected) from the holder... next u need to clean the position of the usb-block on the holder from possible glue-artefacts. Additionally, flatten the holder for about 2mm. Next, put your Hermes into the holder, plug in the usb-block and put some glue (i used 2 component epoxy) between the holder and the usb-block. Let the glue beome hard and voila: a perfectly fitting, individual Carmount for your Kaiser!
Sounds more complicated as it is... this holder fits now better than the original with the Hermes - and honestly: 120 Euro for just the new Kaiser carmount from brodit? No Thanks

Brodit PDA Active Holder Tilt Swivel for HTC HD2

Our good freinds at DSL Developments will shortly have in stock the 'Brodit PDA Active Holder Tilt Swivel for HTC HD2'.
This is described as:
The active holder charges your battery when it is in the holder. The holder is attached onto a tilt swivel and can be adjusted in order to avoid light reflection. Connects to the vehicle's cigarette lighter socket, 12/24 Volt. Attach onto a ProClip Mounting Platform. Can be used with HTC original portable Handsfree. Item No :512086
We were lucky enough to be provided with one of the first brackets available in the country and as you can see from the attached it suits the HD2 well.
As anticipated with Brodit the holder itself has the standard 'Brodit' mount adaptor which means if you already have a Brodit mount fitted to your car you can just unscrew the universal mount portion of the holder and screw in your new HD2 holder in seconds.

I am using the same brodit holder that I first bought for my ipaq 6515, just retrofit it alittle by adding a felt material on both side of the holder, and viola!

Brodit car mount

Mine just arrived and it fits great. Very high quality.
Pictures please
Brodit's own pictures are always so bad !
Can you buy or look at these in any stores in the UK. I'd like to see them before ordering one over the net?
could you turn the device to landscape position? which device have you bought? I've found pages but could't get much more infos

hello 1pudding1 brodit in u.k
Hello 1pudding1. Go here in the U.K http://www.dsldevelopments.com/brodit/holder/HTC+HD2-Brodit-Holder.asp I purchased my Brodit holder and pro clip for my Touch HD from them it’s a cracking holder you will not be disappointed
Jez
I also bought the passive holder from the same place as jez.stix.
It's a tight fit, e.g. you have to hold the cradle with one hand while pushing the phone up with the other when removing it from the cradle. But that's a good thing as you know the phone won't slide out when in landscape mode.
The car mounts are designed to slide in between gaps in the dash, usually around the vents. The mount is secure enough but if you tried to pull the phone out with one hand you'll end up pulling the mount out of the dash.

Case, car holder and docking cradle for HD2 with silicon cover on - any ideas?

Hi guys, I've recently become a lucky owner of Leo. The first things I bought atferwards were the normal soft/silicon case, ebay item no. 280510486481 to be precise. It's a very good case, BUT! I can't use any standard car holder, horizontal belt pouch or desktop charger/sync cradle. It simply won't fit in. Has anybody had and solved similar problem? Are there any products into which the "inflated" HD2 fits? Please let me know... I really don't want to end up taking my Leo off the case anytime I want to use it as satnav, and I also want to be able to carry it on my belt while being protected by the layer of silicone... Thanks a lot in advance!
Something like this perhaps.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/QUALITY-HTC-H...DAsAccessories_PDACharger&hash=item1e5a7cd23d
I have a universal type holder which works okay but find the damn thing rattles too much when phone is not in place. I think I paid about £5 on eBay.
That's great, looks quite strong!
So - what about a charging cradle and the belt case?
There are many cases out there with a loose fit so I would imagine with a silicone case would provide a very tight fit to begin with and gradually loosen up. You could also try something like this designed for the TG01 which has larger dimensions than HD2 so should fit. No guarantees of course.

For a desktop cradle I remember seeing a few pictures on here where the HD2+silicone case sitting on the deluxe cradle sold all over eBay. No guarantees of course.
I've got a Tetrax car holder (the one with X) which works great! ->
http://www.tetrax.us/
The tetrax holder looks great. Could you give us a little more details?
- Is it really safe?
- Does the phone stand in the position wanted (not rotating unwantedly)
- The mount vent aren't fixed so when the phone is there, does the weight make the phone "look" to the ground or is it possible to get the correct orientation?
- Does the HD2 need the accessories kit or the back cover works with the magnet?
- Any idea of the shipping cost and time?
Thanks for your experience!

It is safe - using it for some time now.
The phone is exactly in the position I want it. However, since the holder is really tight to the dashboard, you can't change the direction in which the phone 'looks'.
However, you could use a flexibel arm and put the holder onto that.
What do you mean with then accessories kit? It works with a magnet, so the 'button' must be glued to the HD2, but can be glued to the cover/case or whatever you use to hold the device in.
This also means you won't have to remove the HD2 from the case when you go in your car!!
Can't really tell anything about shipping cost/time, because I bought it here in The Netherlands. (Bought the thing, next day it was waiting on me at home!)

[Q] Car kit?

Has anyone found a good car kit holder for the Mozart? A couple of sites link to the Desire ones, but you can't see which ones cater for the power slot being on the side.
Any recommendations?

DSL Developments - Brodit In-car holders for Mozart
The Brodit holders are about the best for HTC. You buy them in two parts. The active holder and then the bracket that fits your car.
More expensive than the phone without landscape capacity?
Indeed - the lack of landscape could be a killer...it has 'tilt and swivel', but I assume this is just on the x/y axis and not full 90 degree rotation?
The HAMA ref. 92429 (hama.de) suits really well to the HTC 7 Mozart, it appears to be designed for it.
Even though the 7 Mozart is just 1 or 2 mm too long, it's perfectly maintained in both portrait and landscape orientations as it seems as large as an Iphone 3GS. And this Gps car holder is pretty nice, i luv the ice design
PS : The product data sheet on Hama website is not up to date, the model I just got is more stylish and bit more round on sides
I assume that 40 € is expensive but as I needed a good holder, to me it's woth it.
Arno. Do you think the HAMA 'Ice' would allow for a Soft Gel Case Cover? Or is the fit already tight?

nope you can rotate 360 degree linear but not 3 d, simple term once phone is put in holder you can rotate to see landscape..

No, it's really sticky with the Mozart body ,so it won't fit to a Gel Case covered Mozart ans that's the reason why I don't use the one I just bought on Ebay
(the other reason is that it agglomerates dust)

Slightly confused by this - can you rotate the phone 90 degrees and have it sit permanently in landscape? If a sat-nav app comes out that's pretty much a requirement....
Or try one of these by Herbert Richter at Holders and Mounts. It does have full 360 degrees swivel.

I always wondered whether these plastic things without soft cushions would scratch the phone's body or not. They look somewhat resale-value-dropping.
I use the holder for Samsung Witu.
nice
