[Q] stop the diamond from initiating BT connections? - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

I am having a huge problem with my carkit (JVC AVX33) Sometimes it works, and other times it just boots the BT on my diamond every 30 seconds.
I have figured out what is wrong, i think....
When the phone tries to push connection to the JVC and transfer all the contacts, it starts "rebooting BT" However when the JVC initiates the transfer it usually works.
Is There a way to disable the phone from polling BT units? a way to stop it from trying to initiate bluetooth contact, and just "listen" for incomming connections instead of trying to be the "Master"?
Kind Regards

How to stop bluetooth from turning on my phone ?

Hello everyone,
I think you have noticied that everytime you are dealing with bluetooth (call trhough headset for example) your phone will turn on.
For me for example everytime I am leaving my car my phone will tur on because it loose the bluetooth signal with my car kit.
Also, because I have a headset profile, everytime I make a phone call the phone is trying to find a bluetooth headset and when I hang down and turn off my phone just after it will turn on again after 2 seconds because it is stopping to search for bluetooth.
:x ANOYING :x
I am trying to find a way to make it stop.
Maybe something in the registery...
Any ideas ???
Thanks

Bluetooth set as authorised

I have managed to successfully connect the HTC to my kenwood car phone (which I believe is a parrot hands free kit). The problem is that whenever I get into the car and the unit starts, the HTC does NOT automatically connect to the Kenwood.
I have to manually initiate teh connection by going into the bluetooth settings on the phone and tapping on the kenwood device. On my nokia handset, once a device is set to authorised it connects automatically the moment it's in range. Is this feature available on the HTC?
Connects automatically to my Jabra hands free car speaker..
No problems here
Although, it does say in the bluetooth menu ' To connect - tap on device name '
hmmm
I`m having a problem with my Honda Accord handsfree system. The phone connects automatically but when someone calls me the system reacts and I can press the answer button but I can`t hear the person at the other end and he/she can`t hear me. Like you I didn`t have a problem with my Nokia. But mine does connect automatically just can`t hear anyone, must be a compatibility problem.

X1 drops Bluetooth connection after call ends

Hi,
I'm using my X1 with my car as a handsfree. Never had any problems with the car built-in handsfree so far. A couple weeks ago, the X1 started to show an odd behavior: After receiving or making a call, as soon as the call finishes, the X1 drops the bluetooth connection and disconnects from the handsfree. Bluetooth itself is staying on on the X1, so I need to take out the key, redo the ignition and restart the car so the phone reconnects.
Does anybody know what this could be caused by or what to do about it?? Already tried re-pairing, without success.
Thanks lots for your help,
valentin

[Q] Auto connect A2DP

Is there an app for android to automatically connect A2DP when the handsfree connects?
I used to use an app called autoA2DP on win mobile.
At first pairing it connects both a2dp and handsfree, after that only handsfree connects automatically, any help would be appreciated as it's already driving me nuts....
Thanks!
- Anthony
Go to bluetooth settings, long press on the device in question, then options. Make sure Phone and Media are both checked.
Yep, they are... I can manually connect a2dp from both the car stereo and the phone, it just doesn't happen automatically like the handsfree does, had the same prob with windows mobile, but an xda dev user here developed autoA2DP to watch for a handsfree connection, then activate A2DP.
I don't know why yours is different, but mine auto connects for both every time I turn my Bluetooth headset on.
It does vary between headsets a bit. My Jabra Halo's connect automatically when I power on the phone or the headset. On the other hand my JBL Reference 610's had to be connected manually every time.
Still it seems odd though that is connects in handsfree and not A2DP, I always thought it was all or nothing. When a device connects it gives all available profiles and the phone decides what to accept. I don't know, sorry.
I have the same problem.. it does not auto connect with my car's bluetooth. The only way it auto connects is when I have the discoverable mode on (which has a limit of 116 secs or so). So an app that lets you be discoverable all the time would be great!

Same problem but reverse. My phone connects automatically to my phones music everytime i switch it on, however the more important headset/phone functions do not. I must manually disconnect and reconnect the stereo from within the phones bluetooth settings for both to work. Have looked through hundreds of threads found loads of people eith the same problem, yet no solutions. Would love an app to just disconnect and reconnect the bluetooth the moment it detects a paired device in range.... as yet found nothing...
Well... I'm getting the same.
I have LiquidAUX on my car and to have both phone and a2dp synced, I have to restart phone BT and LiquidAUX every time I go into car. And most of the times I can only have 1 connection each time, or phone is on and a2dp is off or a2dp is on and phone is off. It's really annoying since I had an HTC Hero with Android 2.2 and it used to work with no problems...
Hi guys,
Before one month I buy HTC Desire android and I have problem streaming audio through Bluetooth. I have connected the phone with my car and they are paired. Every time when I go in the car my phone is connected to the car Bluetooth automatic, but I'm not able to run A2DP.
I'm with latest Runney rom, before that I tested with MIUI XJ, but no success with both.
Can some one tell me if there is rom without these 2 issues - bluetooth auto connection and a2dp.
Thanks

Bluetooth in car connection issues

There is a Bluetooth car connection issue, if I place a call via my car's bluetooth connection, the phone starts to place the call, I hear a "pop" and the bluetooth connection cuts off. None of the call is handled through my car and the car displays "Unknown Number" for just a couple seconds. The phone continues the call but its now through the handset. So, now I'm not getting anything through my car's system.
Need help in resolving this issue. Have tired clearing Bluetooth cache, resetting the connection in the phone as well as the car but to no avail.
