I plan to buy the htc touch Viva (aka Opal), but I need to be sure i-nigma software runs on it.
Did anyone tried this 2D barcode reader on it ?
If not, I would be grateful if someone could test it so that I know for sure it is working. It is free and available on their website.

I just got an HTC touch pro but i live in Egypt so the google maps of Egypt arent very accurate at all and they give no directions watsoever. So before when i was on my HTC P3600 i installed a gps programm by TeleType and added the maps of my country to it in the folder of my maps and it worked perfectly. When i came to do that on my HTC touch pro 6.1 windows mobile it didnt wana install and it said GPS not a valid pocket pc application. Ive been looking for another gps software to install on my touch pro and cudnt find anything. Could any1 help em please? i have my countrys maps but i just need a software that will work and that i can add my maps to so i can get the turn by turn directions.

Oziexplorer + your own maps or you can use iGO 2006 or iGO 8 /Nav N Go 8/ it works great with HTC Pro. And there is the map of Egypt too...
Igo is great Israeli software
I'm using NavNGo's iGO 8 - works like a charm.
TomTom Navigator 7 - TomTom told me that they indeed would release version 7 soon. Until now, only select Dimanond users had it preinstalled.
Both programs are working 100% on Touch Pro

I can sell you mine. It's less than 2 weeks old but no dings, scratches, dents... you basically wouldn't know it's used unless I told you.
I can put up an auction on ebay for it if you're interested. I'd be looking for $850 plus shipping & handling but I'd figure that out based on whichever way you want it shipped.

anyone tried garmin mobile xt? it was pretty really laggy in kaiser, so i have to return it... if it works fine in raphael, i might give it a try again

Thank you all so much for helping. Indeed mate it doesnt get sold in Egypt. i bought it from Dubai and shipped it to egypt. and GPS working perefctly just needed the software.

guys need some help again sorry! since uve already been really helpful i installed Igo 8 nav on my touch pro then soft restarted and when it was installed in programs i came to open in but it loaded for 3secs then just did nothing and the programm didnt want to open. i tried reinstalling and restarting the phone several times but IGO 8 just didnt wana open. Can anyone help me with this problem? would be great really

I'm using Garmin. Except for the initial satelite fix, it's not any slower than my Nuvi. I haven't had any problems with it.

Hi Onsi!
In the Storage Card, there's a folder named "iGO8".
In this folder, there's a text file named "sys".
Please copy the content of this file and paste it to a reply here and I'll try and help you fix the problem.

Looks just as it should!
Make sure that in your Storage Card there's indeed an "iGO8" folder... If you have moved or renamed it - that may be the reason for iGO not running.

Skype on my HTC Touch Pro working only after installing. When I try use it next time, i couldn't see any contact enable. Also Echo doesn/t work.

I am in need of a skype cab that would work with my tilt. I tried searching for it but couldnt find one that would install on the device. I would need one that supports the skype out function.
I would appreciate a link since i am only able to search and download from my phone in the curent location I am in.

As you may know skype will not longer support Windows Mobile and Windows Phone. I'm a heavy skype user and the service will be only supported to actual windows users just for the rest of this 2010.
FYI - here's the latest cab that skype released some months ago (this is the version that I personally use).

I used fring on my Kaiser for skype support, might be worth looking at (link in my signature)
I use it on my Touch Pro as routes sound to telephone ear speaker.

Happy I bumped into this, I am a fan of fring also, occasionally though I need to add a contact to skype or authorize a new contact. I haven't found a way to that with fring.

I could not download the skype application with my phone. Rapid share wouldn't let me download it from my phone. And now has been downloaded too many times to try from a computer.
Fring worked great with skype the first day. But now has been blocked.
Any other ideas.

I did a search on Skype and this platform to find a version of skype that would work on my SonyEricsson X1. Some links in skype are removed.
Could anyone please post a link to the right version of skype.

See if this one works for you. Its the Skype panel installer, but you dont necessarily need to use the panel. The Skype app will be available once installed
