How to flash your new Touch-IT rom to your beloved Experia
NOTE:
If you want to revert back to SE rom, try use the SE updateservice to recover your X1.
1. You MUST have Hard-SPL on your Xperia
2. Download the Touch-IT rom
3. Unpack with winzip/winrar
4. Connect your Xperia with PC (Activesync, or enter Bootloader) Be sure you are connected..
5. Click the ROMUpdateUtility, follow the onscreen instructions.
6. DO NOT DISCONNECT THE DEVICE DURING FLASH PROCESS
6.1 Its always recommended to do a HARD-RESET after flashing a new Rom
7. Let the process finish with customization, do the setup and enjoy.

Watch out: the update service got pulled from the SE website, cant be found anywhere anymore. Guess it has to do with it wrecking phones on Vista, it stops at 10% of the flash, works absolutely brilliant on XP though...

the version on the X1 site is now listed as 2.8.11.7 which is the internal version that the app I downloaded was. However the filename I downloaded last week that I use is listed as 2.8.5.12 which is still available, so I wonder if there's a cockup with the naming conventions on the SE site. It automatically updates itself anyway!

I agree, i like your roms, because to work very well, but i really don't like al the visual crap you've added. I like one with the official rom like this, then the ORGINAL htc kaiser home screen, ORGINAL dialer pad etc, and a reduced poolsize, fix for keeping cab files after installation (like in all your roms). Can you make something like this?

I tried this ROM out, X-button issue appears to be fixed now. The only problem I'm having (still) is that on the 6 button HTC Homeplug, the weather never downloads correctly. I can install a different version over this one and then it downloads fine, but I lose all of the skinning that's been done to it which I sort of like. Anyone have a way to fix this, may have been discussed before.

Hello i have a problem with this rom it wil not boot up, all the others rom's work fine but the v4.12.07.09 after update via ASerg Policies stays on the with screen. I have the wm5 allready installed, that works fine. and ill puth back the v4.12.07.08 see if that will work. did any one have the same problem ???

I don't know if I understood correctly but updates from a previous installed PDAVIET Rom usaly aborts with an errormessage while flashing. This errormessage is often overlooked and so people start their Heralds with half-flashed roms. This can't go right.
Personaly, I recommend to install an official WM5 or the newly released offical WM6 RUU PRIOR to installation. Then you can update to PDAVIETs version normaly.

Default today background is Black.
you can change wallpaper,put your image file on Sd Card,from TF3d

First impressions are good, very fast. I like the customization and title bar icons.
Only thing so far I've noticed is active sync is showing up in the task list even when I have soft reset and not connect to a PC. I have seen this on other ROM's and not sure what causes it but some ROM's do not have this issue.

Thank you very much for this english (WWE) version (the only one with nice colored icons in the topbar and not ITA...).
I like it as I liked the one from Seiya on the HTC Diamond. There is still some little details I would like to find (that I can explain if you want).
I will test it and tell you if I find something. So long I have something weird with Opera, but I didn't reproduce it, so wait and see.

More impressions
Well after some more time to play with this ROM these are my findings.
As mentioned earlier, the Activesycn comes on in the task mgr by itself.
No Windows Live, I tried to install 3 different cabs on main memory and storage card and would not work. It installed correctly but just hangs at the sign in and will not let you click on the link to sign in.
There is slight issue with Opera when in landscape mode and you select bookmarks it reverts half the screen back to portrait.
The ROM is very fast and looks great, actually the most colorful and best I've seen.
All in all a great job.

How to get the Touch-IT Xperience:
Hard-SPL is needed if you wanna flash custom roms
-Info on Hard-SPL here
My tips on how to flash a custom rom:
-Do not let battery be below 50%
-Keep the device on a secure location (so that it wont fall and loose connection to your pc during flash)
-Enter bootloader (rainbowscreen) pressing power button and volume down simultaneously (hold the buttons untill you enter bootloader)
-Connect to pc (activesync)
-Run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe and follow onscreen instructions
Flash via micro-sd method

Most interesting thing in that is that he's using a Raphael to demonstrate it..

I just looked into the blackstone rom section and i seen one of the developer have it running on the blackstone with TF3D as well. Looks very nice without the cheap honeycomb. Im very happy with touch-it rom right now so waiting is not a problem but as soon as this one release...i would flash so fast. Keep up the good work.

also i guess that this 6.5 will not have Manilla TF3D? is it not compatible or just you want to have a pure 6.5 ROM? i am already getting used to TF3D with your 4.5 ROM after refusing it for a month or so (it's since i got my Xperia)...
In the Q&A part of the video they say the only devices getting a WM6.5 upgrade are the diamond2/touch pro2 and a LG device.... so no official upgrade for us.

i think they are keeping the honeycomb but have removed the lines (boarders around the software pic) and make it scroll a page at a time instead of scrolling till the end of your software.

ok, installed and running.
First impression on first 15 mins
1. looks good!
2. scrolling not very smooth but am not complaining.
3. SMS works but no MMS?
4. The Today screen needs a little time getting used to. I miss the previous today screen where you can see your appointments at a glance. i think it's too crowded. Now I have to scroll down to see the status of calendar, messages, etc. still have to play with it to give final verdict though.
5. Task Manager available upper right and working battery meter, yay!
6. menu changed to honeycomb scrolling. I think it's just eye candy
7. Games are back. Can they be uninstalled? Can use the memory.
that's it for now. will install other cab files included.
Ok. You can change the today screen to original layout as in previous versions.... I'm starting to like it!

This is the greatest ROM yet!
Almost all bugs/missing components from previous versions are fixed. just had to add HTC Network wizard to configure GPRS so I can surf the internet. Also added the sent SMS notification patch and it's working. Did anyone install the additional cab files (flashlite and IE6.1) what are they for?
I feel like I just bought a new PDA phone!

I have tried previously the WinMo 6.5 with HTC Universal and HTC Hermes but none of those devise ROMs were functional as good as THIS ONE.. SUN_DREAMS ROMS is just perfect.
I have one issue though. I dont know is it my own issue or anyone of you have this as well: I get Exchange Activesync error 80070057. By the first time the emails from exchange can be downloaded and there is no error but by the second attempt to sync. I receive the error... Anyone has the same issue??

my report...everythings was fine,,only the device lock still have some bug...it's give some blank screen when i try to unlock... and i have to reset to fix it...

FINALLY! A ROM I could stick to! Some questions:
- What about Manila hotfixes?
- How about removing Opera, so it is possible to upgrade it when new versions come?
- How about CF 3.7?

NETCF 3.7 does not work alone many programs need 3.5 so if you need it the best way is: install it later with a cab..

Well - I am not ROM Cook, if I was I would create one myself, but as far as I can understand, there are people here who get fresh updates for HTC Manila version 2.1, 2.5 and 2.6.
Your ROM is the only one with Windows 6.1 and Manila 2.1 - which, after much testing, are best for me...
