How to flash your new Touch-IT rom to your beloved Experia
NOTE:
If you want to revert back to SE rom, try use the SE updateservice to recover your X1.
1. You MUST have Hard-SPL on your Xperia
2. Download the Touch-IT rom
3. Unpack with winzip/winrar
4. Connect your Xperia with PC (Activesync, or enter Bootloader) Be sure you are connected..
5. Click the ROMUpdateUtility, follow the onscreen instructions.
6. DO NOT DISCONNECT THE DEVICE DURING FLASH PROCESS
6.1 Its always recommended to do a HARD-RESET after flashing a new Rom
7. Let the process finish with customization, do the setup and enjoy.

Watch out: the update service got pulled from the SE website, cant be found anywhere anymore. Guess it has to do with it wrecking phones on Vista, it stops at 10% of the flash, works absolutely brilliant on XP though...

I think this is the best idea and best project. make rom clean and fast .
then anyone can add theyr cab`s with spb or manila or whotewer.

Yeah, I found this too when I tried to dl the update service for M600i too Hopefully SE will put it back soon.

the version on the X1 site is now listed as 2.8.11.7 which is the internal version that the app I downloaded was. However the filename I downloaded last week that I use is listed as 2.8.5.12 which is still available, so I wonder if there's a cockup with the naming conventions on the SE site. It automatically updates itself anyway!

the device it downloads for is irrelevant from what I can see, as you choose the device when its running (including the M600)

ok, installed and running.
First impression on first 15 mins
1. looks good!
2. scrolling not very smooth but am not complaining.
3. SMS works but no MMS?
4. The Today screen needs a little time getting used to. I miss the previous today screen where you can see your appointments at a glance. i think it's too crowded. Now I have to scroll down to see the status of calendar, messages, etc. still have to play with it to give final verdict though.
5. Task Manager available upper right and working battery meter, yay!
6. menu changed to honeycomb scrolling. I think it's just eye candy
7. Games are back. Can they be uninstalled? Can use the memory.
that's it for now. will install other cab files included.

Ok. You can change the today screen to original layout as in previous versions.... I'm starting to like it!

This is the greatest ROM yet!
Almost all bugs/missing components from previous versions are fixed. just had to add HTC Network wizard to configure GPRS so I can surf the internet. Also added the sent SMS notification patch and it's working. Did anyone install the additional cab files (flashlite and IE6.1) what are they for?
I feel like I just bought a new PDA phone!

I have tried previously the WinMo 6.5 with HTC Universal and HTC Hermes but none of those devise ROMs were functional as good as THIS ONE.. SUN_DREAMS ROMS is just perfect.
I have one issue though. I dont know is it my own issue or anyone of you have this as well: I get Exchange Activesync error 80070057. By the first time the emails from exchange can be downloaded and there is no error but by the second attempt to sync. I receive the error... Anyone has the same issue??

I fixed the OKT display problem...by setting regional settings to Canadian English.

Is it possible to have the user interface in English but the spelling control in Danish for example? That way I could use the new firmwares cooked but still use the Danish spelling control.

try a hard reset.

I have uploaded updated versions of all languages with BT installed, higher pagepool and 3g switch in CommManager

i really like this rom but there is one thing that bothers me.
i dont like java implementation JBlend
its slow, its not fullscreen and u cannot start the installed programms directly. first start jblend then chose the programm. the normal implementation of java in window mobile provides an icon for every java program in the normal program list.
is there a way for me to get the old java implemetation back?

Ok Found a fix...
if you go into "HKLM\Software\HTC\CommManager", create a folder called "7" and copy the reg keys from any of the other numbered folders, say from "5" into "7", the error message goes away.

So there is another registry setting that is referencing a folder "7" inside "HKLM\Software\HTC\CommManager" somewhere in the mix...

no bluetooth in this rom

how about memory usage after restart ? after some time ?
and if press end call button - manila or tochflo disappears for a second ( empty screen) like i had in other Touch-it roms? it's a little bug , but annoying =)

With a registry you can only change language in manila,but all OS windows and HTC OEM apps remain in italian...

I think it's one of the best ROM that i even tried.
There aren't too much applications installed, but it's functional, fast, and works fine. Good job as always

The Lite and Full Version are only Italian. Sorry for my bad English!!

my first problem is that i can not add my location even though i have changed the location to English uk in the settings,i can not add it in the clocks or weather add city options-any ideasorry the other thing is opera not open,i have tasked 29'd and 1 hard reset and 2 soft.

my first problem is that i can not add my location even though i have changed the location to English uk in the settings,i can not add it in the clocks or weather add city options-any ideasorry the other thing is opera not open,i have tasked 29'd and 1 hard reset and 2 soft.
