Rotation Screen for HTC Jade - Touch 3G ROM Development

Good morning I would like to know if it shall have a program to manage rotation screen on this telephone? Thank you in advance
Ps: Excuse for my poor English

If you change the registry setting "HideOrientationUi" from 1 to 0 you gain the screenrotation functionality at the display settings screen and you can assign a hardware button to it as well.

Download this, unzip, copy to your device and just start the Rotatescreen.exe. Start it once and you have landscape , start it again and you have portrait. I think that touchflo can't be used in landscape and it will change to portraitmode when you start TouchFlo.

Correct, Touchflo can't be used in Landscape-mode because it is designed for use in Portrait-mode only.
I have changed a registry setting (see post #2) and programmed <rotate screen> under the green button (long press) to use it while navigating with TomTom.
When i close TomTom the screen automaticly turns back to Portrait-mode.

Can you tell me where i can find this?
I search in the windiws map.
Kan je mij vertellen waar ik dat bestand precies kan vinden om het te wijzigen?

hey boys,
i tried and worked fine but for the current screen only, once pressed return it reverts to original,
question is: how to make this permanent ?
Appreciate ur response.

Great !
Works Fine !
For your Information, u need to go to HKLM\System\GDI\Rotation\ to change the HideOrientationUI parameter
To rotate the screen manually, Go to Settings / System Tab / Screen
To program a key, Go to Settings/ Buttons

What re you looking for? registry settings can't be found in Windows folder but only in the registry.
use a registry editor like PHM regedit.

Switch profiles

Anyone knows a way to switch profiles easily??
One way is go to the Settings tab and choose Sounds, there you can switch profile. But I'd like a shorter way because I switch very often.
There is a function that you can assign the "hang up" button for ring/silent & vibrate.
You can find it in configuration --> system
(I translated it from dutch, so i don't know if the words i used are correct.)
Kan het ook gewoon in het Nederlands doen zie ik
Bij instellingen en dan systeem kan je de ophangen knop instellen. Daar kan je kiezen voor geluid/trillen
You can use Sterk's method, except that I encountered 2 problems:
1) I had to press and hold the "hangup" button for quite a while before it works. Can't change this delay either
2) I want to use the "hangup" button to turn off data connections instead
So anyways, I found a small program that can toggle sound/vibrate (or something else according to your needs)
Check this out:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=279228
I add this program to my start menu and I can toggle sound/vibrate in a faster way!
Cheers

Force Landscape mode?

On the Diamond the screen options under settings do not include the Landscape / Portrait wwitch. Is there any way to force the device to Landscape?
you can force Landscape / Portrait with "WisBar Advance"
Or with QuickMenu...
yeah, personally I have this switch mapped to win-logo long press in QuickMenu
Found this, posted somewhere odd

The Touch Diamond does not show the WM screen rotation under settings so we can't manually set rotation for apps like Word, SMS. Here is how to enable it. After you've done the hack, run the app you want to rotate (eg. Word Mobile), then do Start, Settings, System, Screen to set rotation to landscape. The onscreen keyboard is much larger in landscape! When you click the HOME key it will go back to portrait.
Enable Manual Screen Rotation (Portrait/Landscape):
HKLM - System - GDI - Rotation - HideOrientationUI (change from 1 to 0)
Change is immediate effectively. No reboot is required.

Click to collapse
confirmed, this works.
HKLM - System - GDI - Rotation :
LandscapeFixed: set to "0" ( default is "1" )
extends options to:
Portrait
Landscape (right-handed)
Landscape (left-handed)
cool, thanks - this is handy for me being lefty; any chance of disabling the right-handed option forever?
You can do just what you want using Mortscript...
And the script should run automatically everytime you reboot your device....

i also set this up. works only on home page. f in an app, i get this new never efore seen menu that says \
Copy
Cut
Paste
Select All
Select all + copy
select all + cut
Undo
If we now can activate it from the system eventually we'll get to know how to use the acceleremoter in whole system or atleast in whole TF3D.
woho, nice to hear that the edit menu works on diamond too, cause it's dunno why not working for me. this is great feature of quickmenu allowing you to manipulate with the clipboard whenever you're in an editbox.
It would be nice to have G-sensor to automatically rotates screen in all apps. I'm sure that there is a way, registry entry perhaps.
You can, using this app:

Works like a charm

1.) Give Google a try and search for TF3D Config!
2.) go to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=430174

HomeRSKText
Path = Program to run
Text= Label on Home Screen

Hi,
I got away with changing the softkeys in TF3D but how to change the softkeys when you don't use TF3D (standard softkeys)
Thanks
Lambert

Hi
Can anybody post the path for displaying contacts? I have a german diamond and I tried following, which does not work: \Windows\poutlook.exe
Which path does work?
Hello Lambert,
HKCU>Software>Micosoft>Today>Keys>112 for the left key
HKCU>Software>Micosoft>Today>Keys>113 for th right key
If the 113 does'nt exist, you can create it.
Beware when you modifies the registry, you do it at your own risk.
Make a backup before each modification.
You can try also "Remap Softkeys", is a freeware that will make it for you.
Put this soft where you want, "My documents" for exemple and execute it.

You welcome !
Why do you want to allocate this keypad lock function to a soft key ?
You can lock your device by pressing and holding the "End Call" button or give it some more option ...

yes I know. but it takes too long to press the "End Call" button.
I mean its not really a problem. But it would be nice to lock the device with one touch

Ok, you can use and configure S2U2 to lock your device when you press the start button or if you put the device face down with GSen.
This app (S2U2) can give you more services that you need, but don't use the S2U2 CallerID cause it could be in conflict with the HTC CallerID.
Search for S2U2 Thread on xda-dev and GSen in this forum.
Have a look at this topic to : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=305402
Hi,
I am trying to remap the right softkey to open the programs part of the start menu. for some reason, whatever I try, I can not get it to map to here. It tends to either error and say that it is digitally unsigned, or it opens explorer, not in the programs folder. Bit odd really. Any suggestions?
Hi, I need to map a WiFi ON/OFF toggle on the Manila Right Soft key on homescreen, cause its taking to much time going to conn.mgr. every time... is it posible ?
thx for any advice
Well I think lots of us were searching for a "videocall" fix...
In the new rom 1.93.707.1, "contacts" soft key was replaced with "video call".
Can this be fixed via registry change and revert the softkey from "videocall" to "contacts"?
How do i set the right key back to what it was?

mmm there might be an application for this.
i suggest using s2u2 to slide to unlock when the device wakes up
and if you dont want to used applications, just use the lock and set it to 0 minus and but a simple 4 digits password...
Karim
i don't want to use a password or s2u2.
i hope there is a registry hack or something for this
Do you mean only the power button to be active?
If so use..
Start Menu->Settings->System->Key Lock
select the first option.
not really i want to lock all keys
i want the function lock keys (from long hang-up en lock keys) activate when the diamond go in standby

Some Questions about the Diamond

Hey!
I have an MDA Compact IV, in other words a branded HTC Touch Diamond from T-Mobile De.
The interface of this device is very ugly and the colors don't fit to the case of the Diamond. So i installed TF3D Config and changed the Theme to the original HTC one.
> My problem is that it seems to be very slow, changing the tabs takes longer than with the T-Mobile Theme. Could this be caused by S2U2?
Another Problem is that S2U2 can be disabled by pressing the "Home" Button. All other Keys are dead exept the home button when S2U2 locks the device.
Any advice? Or an other programm?
No one any idea?
What do i make wrong that noone answers my questions?
S2U2 works ok for me? go to settings, key lock, select: do not lock buttons
as for speed theres plenty of registry tweeks, or try custom rom?
Thanks for the answer!
S2U2 works even good, but i can't fix that S2U2 don't block the home butten. All other parts of the tool work great. On your phone S2U2 blocks the home button as well?
And the speed hacks: Why is the ugly skin made by t-mobile so fast and the original htc skin out of this forum so slow? I just don't get it...
How can i edit the registry? I don't find a programm to make it. It's really hard for me to understand all that is written in this forum.
de: versuche mal diesen Reg-Editor:
en: check this registry editor:
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Uploads/Software/PHM_RegEdit_0.70_ARM.cab
Dank dir, werde ich testen!
Thanks, i'll try ^^
But first i will try to find a net.framework updatepack for WM 6.1.
