car charger of xda can be used for ipaq?

hello,
i used the MDA II for a while, so i got many accessories for it. One of them is the car charger which connects my gps and my pocket pc with the power of my car. Since i sold my mda, and bought a hp 4155, i was wondering wether i have to buy a new car charger, or can i use the same. I tried to get it into my ipaq, and it fits. But i'm affraid to put it in the power to ruine my device or its battery.
So, what's your advice?
thanks guys!
don't use it - it fits but pin connectors are wrong so you kill your motherboard

If you hands-free car kit supports bluetooth then you won't need any adapter to use your Kaiser.
nope.
its an old fashioned car kit where you stick your mobile in.

I doubt you will find any adapter for Kaiser.
Here's what I did for my "car kit" since my car doesn't have bluetooth nor a cassette player...
1. Generic Wal-Mart phone holder -- it has padding and clips onto the dash air vents ~ $9.00
2. 3-in-1 usb device for Motorola/HTC devices ~ $14.00 shipped
3. HTC 2-in-1 mic/speaker extension cable ~ $5.00 shipped
4. iTunes digital FM Transmitter w/ 3.5mm speaker cable ~ $40.00
5. Motorola/HTC car dc adapter ~ dunno, came w/ my Tilt
6. 2-way lighter spitter ~ $10.00 shipped
It's a lot, all-in-all lol. What I did was this:
1. mount phone holder onto the dash
2. plug 3-in-1 usb into the phone
3. plug dc adapter into one of the 2 lighter ports and into the left usb port
4. plug fm transmitter into other lighter port
5. plug fm transmitter's 3.5mm into the end of the 2-in-1
6. plug 2-in-1 into the right usb port
it should be good to go. I prefer the digital FM transmitter only because it has no frequency limitation.
If the car stereo had a cassette player, I'd just get a cheap 3.5mm to cassette adapter.

which car kit? The nokia specific car kit? Go out and buy a bluetooth car kit, then you don't have to worry about connecting any wires. Or you can upgrade your stereo to one with bluetooth built in, this is what I have in my STi http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PION...022QQitemZ350039047357QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW works great. Decent stereo, and great bluetooth integration, except I have problems syncing my contact list on my tilt. It used to work fine with my 8125, but when I try to sync with the tilt bluetooth resets on the tilt. You can get a refurbed one for $200 Here's a new one for $200 http://cgi.ebay.com/PIONEER-DEH-P79...ryZ39752QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem the major only difference between the 7900 and the 790 is the 790 has the ipod integration cable included

Voice Command 1.6/microphone doesn't work when connected to External Speakers

Hi, I am having problems in using Voice Command 1.6 when my ATT Tilt (ROM version: 1.62.502.0) is connected to external speakers such as TV speakers, Car speakers etc. I am using 3 in 1 USB Adaptor to connect cable to speakers.
The problem seems to be with Microphone of the phone which is for some reason being deactivated as soon as the 3 in 1 USB adapter is plugged into the phone. For the first time when I used 3 in 1 USB cable, it worked fine. But after that it stopped working and Microphone is being deactivated as soon as 3 in 1 cable is inserted into phone.
Whereas, when I insert other USB cable such as for charging, ActiveSync etc, microphone seems to be active and I can use Voice Command while the cable is inserted.
Please help. I need the microphone to be active to be able to use VoiceCommand while my phone is connected to my car's AUX port speakers.

you have to use that original htc adapter to connect a universal earphone. this adapter has a microphone in the 3,5 mm plug.
Hi Matthes, You mean, the original htc adapter has microphone builtin?
Also, as I mentioned, my voice command worked properly with my adaptor once (for the first time).
I am not sure mine is original or not, I bought it online and there is no brand name on the adaptor. All it says is 3 in 1 USB Adaptor, RoHS, Made in China. I dont even have the original package for this adaptor. So, cant tell if its HTC or not.
Does the original adaptor says 'HTC' on it?

Nexus 7 In Dash 07 Jeep GC

For those of you interested here are some pics, parts and prices for a complete radio replacement with a nexus 7 tablet.
I first installed a fold out radio and hooked by phone up via MHL - RCA converter. Worked ok but was a pain in the *** to have my phone hooked up all the time. So i decided to take radio back and do a nexus 7 install
I bought the 2nd Gen Nexus first but after having a 2 week head ache getting it to work right i just bought a 1st Gen for the Car. Also had a 12v to 5v Step Down micro Usb cable for power but that didnt work so i said F it and did the hacky USB adapter method
Also had some glue and velcro straps lying around so you wont see a part list or cost for that. I basically cut some and glued them to the dash kit. RCA volume control and USB Stick is mounted inside the little storage by the shifter. I got a small amp from my friend so didnt have to buy that either
My original plan was to Cut the stock bezel to fit the nexus but i can't cut **** straight so decided to spend some cash on new bezel
Part List and Cost
In attached Txt File (Cannot post Links)
Total cost. BTW I have amazon prime so my prices might be cheaper
Jeep Related Cost (Dash Kit,amp wiring bypass & Bezel)
$216.43
Nexus 7
$160.99
Everything Else
$141.66
$519
How Everything is hooked up
1. Bypass amp wire kit runs from stock amp all the way up to where the head until should of been.
2. New amp is wired to the bypass harness. I have Remote wire ran into the fuse box for ACC Key. Amp is located in Radio Opening
3. Amp RCA is hooked to RCA Volume Control.
4. RCA Volume Control Hooked to USB Audio Interface
5. USB Audio Interface Plugged in via USB to the HUB
6. HUB has extension Cable Plugged into USB Card Reader
7. OTG Cable is plugged into 90 degree Elbow, USB Power, and USB Hub
8. Nexus 7 Rooted with Timur Custom Car Rom

Looks great! What HUD are you using? Or is that just built into the jeep?

[Question] A DIY way to add microsd support??

So the other day i was wondering if there was a way for us to add microsd card to this phone which is specially needed for those with 8/128 variant
Because Rog 2 has 2 usb type c ports there are lots of possibilities, maybe we could use one of them to connect to a microsd card slot(if we could find a tiny microsd to type c connector)
or maybe we could make a case with a built-in type c connector and the ability to put microsd in!
as we know there has been some case models for some phones that have had a built-in battery that could connect to phone with an also built-in micro-usb/type-c port, or some other cases/covers that have a type-c connection and ability to connection controllers, like the Rog 2 kunai case that bundles with kunai game pads
My third thought was to find(or make) something like the picture attached below, a microsd adapter that can be bent and attached to the back of the phone, it wouldnt be that hard, would it??
any ideas or suggestions on this matter?
