* ADDED VGA VERSION OF THE WAD2 THEME AS PER MANY REQUESTS!
* Added localized language support to the .cab installer (this should fix the black screen issue that users of non-English ROMs were experiencing)
* Fixed a small bug in the AppToDate configuration

* Theme is now auto-applied in WAD2 after install
* Fixed naming scheme of WAD theme (LAND is now Landscape, PORT is now Portrait)
* Configured Contacts grid to switch back to Programs grid after a contact has been clicked
* Fixed Volume Status icon assignments to account for bugfix in WAD2
* Added MoDaCo AppToDate support to notify you of new releases
* Rebuilt .CAB file to support compression, and give no warnings on WM5/6
If you've already installed v1.0 of VistAdvance, you are STRONGLY recommended to update to v1.1. Note that you should UNINSTALL v1.0 manually, and moving forward, any new versions will automatically do this for you (long story, but I've got the .CAB named and working properly now). Grab v1.1 from my site linked to below!
I've recently updated my theme VistaMobile (now outdated) to support my Xperia X1 and any 800 x 480 WVGA devices using Wisbar Advance v3.x/Wisbar Advance Desktop v2.x. It has been a long time in the making, and I think I've come up with an easy-to-use and good looking theme/interface.

hahah I hear ya Skippy. Thanks for the kind words. I'd definitely love to port the theme back down to VGA resolution, I just need time (it took me long enough to build this WVGA version!)
Keep an eye out though, and if I get enough requests (and donations help!) for a VGA version, I'll try to move it up on my list of priorities!

Glad you like the theme as well. You can surely post the theme to your forum, however I request that you link to my protogenLabs.com site for the download (please don't host the .cab files on your own server as I track downloads on my site).
You can copy my complete forum post, but just point everyone over to the official entry on my site.
As for QVGA/QWVGA, I would love to create those themes as well, but I am short on time these days I'm hoping that someone would be able to assist me with a QVGA/QWVGA theme, but as it stands now, a VGA version of the WAD2 theme is probably next.

LOL those words bring a huge grin to my face! I am SO glad that feedback has been positive for this theme. I am a web designer so I always try to account for ease of use, while packing features in but keeping the interface clean.
Now only if someone could get Chris McKay and I jobs at Microsoft, we could REALLY improve the UI of Windows Mobile!! *wishes*

No worries about the thread-jack tilt! I am sorry that I didn't respond to you either. I am not actually sure how to change the old version to support Weatherpanel + custom icons because I've never used that program. I suppose you could just create a new page (and link the left/right page switcher arrows to include that page), then pop it on there.
I would love to support everyone's devices by making a QVGA/QWVGA/VGA versions of my WAD2 theme, but I am quite a busy dood. I'll definitely try to get around to it soon, but VGA will most likely come first because the images are at the same DPI as WVGA (I don't need to downscale them, just edit the positioning).

Again, this is in my overall plans for the theme, but I'll need a bit more time. Hopefully I can get 1 day where nothing is planned, and I should be able to build and package up a VGA version of the WAD theme...just stay patient!

Im using an xperia x1 at the moment and am having a bit of difficulty putting this on, only had a windows mobile device for a few days so im quite new to using it. I installed the wisbar desktop .exe file then installed but it couldn't find my device, I selected windows mobile 6 is it a problem that mine is 6.1 or that mine is running .net compact framework 3.5?
Anyway looks like an awsome theme and definitly something i would like to have a hands on experience with.

Thanks for your interest in the theme! Glad you joined the Windows Mobile crew as well, we need all of the supporters we can get to fight the Crackberries, iPhones, and now Palm WebOS!
If I understand you correctly, you downloaded the ActiveSync .exe installer for Wisbar, and you're trying to install it, but it can't find your phone.
What I would do if I were you is revisit the Lakeridge Software site and grab the "Over the Air Installers" for WAD/WA3. They should be downloadable .CAB files, similar to my theme. Next, you need to copy these .CAB files from your PC to your device (easiest way is probably to remove your memory card and insert it into your PC's card reader, then copy the files).
Once you've done that, load up File Explorer on your phone, browse to your Storage Card, then tap the .CAB files to install. Install the Wisbar programs first, then my theme. Next, follow the instructions on my website to load the theme into Wisbar.
Hopefully that helps you out, but let me know if you run into any difficulties. You should also be able to find great support and resources on Lakeridge Software's own forum.
Hope you like the theme when you get it running!

Just a quick note to let you guys know that the theme names are reversed when you view them from within Wisbar Advance Desktop. I developed this theme in an emulator, and I was trying to account for the way it mishandles screen orientation.
Therefore, when picking/applying your VistAdvance themes, please use VistAdvance-v1.0-PORT for the Landscape theme, and VistAdvance-v1.0-LAND for the Portrait theme.
I'll be sure to fix this for the next theme update!

According to the developers of this free application, the theme management will simply use the same "Update Manager" to be able to download a new theme. They indicate that this new feature should be out to the general public in "a week or two".
More nice work by the Pointui Team. Here is the "Black" theme.

The Point UI or Home UI is one of the promising UIs that are around for a while. Great to have nice skins going along with it. The Team has been working hard to iron out some of the issues reported. I am looking forward to the next release in two weeks' time? Cheers

I totally agree that PointUI in its current avatar needs some changes... But it's the best UI I've seen floating around... May be soon, we'll have a better version... Keeping my fingers crossed...
This is interesting both both because the PointUI team is adding the skins and also because of the unique distribution method.
For forum users that do not use PointUI, there is a very simple integrated update method in the application that allows direct upgrades of the application. No cabs, no exe's, no registry edits. Really easy.
In this case it is used to add new features (Skins). This is a great concept and I can see that this will be used to easy add new features in the future.
i have installed PointUI for testing... but for real life usage, i think navigation within this UI is not user friendly enough... you will always think where to go back and how to go there.... but of cos, it is still very innovative, looking forward to their update in future.

I fully agree ... at any point in time you'll find yourself wondering what to do next ... I think the design should be more intuitive ... but other than that it's a wonderful idea!

i got my HTC Touch abt 4 weeks back.....n to be honest i didnt get the whole concept of toch.... i thought it was jus another wm6 mobile.....n along came PointUI.....now i can show off to my friends who have iPhones that their phone has just became ****tier....lolz

well pointui is rly nice, step forward, skins are nice.
but to be honest, from my point of view there is awful lot of things to improve and implement to this kind of ui - don't flame me for saying this, but i rly don't know what are userw getting from using point ui in the state of ark in which it currently is, imho it's almost useless, just another gadget - when it will have it's own complete ui including messaging, contacts, calendar and dialpad etc etc - then it will be fantastic piece of software, but now? only another today skin (good one though, but still - when u have to get back 2 WM ui to write a message or to make a call, what the hell is it for?)
Don't get me wrong, i'm not blaming pointui itself, but the users which are making so big hubbab about it

For a freeware GUI Pointgui is just a great piece of software. When they will have implemented launcher, dialer and messaging and will have given us a bit more customizing opportunities Pointgui will beat all the other Mobile Shells of SPB or HTC.
But for now it's freeware and this is a enjoyable fact.

However, do not underestimate the dark side of software arena, it may get eaten up by those software giants....so there will not be any "beat the hell out of whoever" happening

Pointui is the best software that I have on my Cingular 8125. It works perfect... of course improvments can be made but as it is I find it very usefull. As somebody was wondering what use can one have of it, well here is mine: I can fully operate my phone with one hand while I am driving. That's a big plus for me...
I have one problem though, I have previously installed SPB Pocket Plus and Slide2Unlock Pro. So when all these 3 progs are running my memory goes down to 11-12 MB available, so if I am starting any other program that is memory hog, like a game my phone is really, really slow. I am thinking of uninstalling SPB Pocket Plus. What else can I do to improve the memory???

Project Summary:
This project (Mobile GamerTag) was started because Microsoft is not initiating to build any kind of application to support one of its products (xbox 360) on their own platform "Windows Mobile/Windows Phone". That's where, x360me moved.
This project is a small program that shows you the GamerCard of any xbox 360 GamerTag on your Windows Mobile/Windows Phone.
Project History:
The project started by getting the GamerCard from Microsoft website by using their “Share your GamerCard” link. Afterwards the project was restarted to use Duncan Mackenzie’s webservice, it allows more information to be fetched. Hope the community loves this application.
To Do:
- Might add the ability to use unlimited gamertags.
- Might add a new button that sends you to a new friends tab, which shows one to two gamertags per page and the user can flip through the pages.
v2.3.0 – 20th December 2009 (Current Version)
- Mobile Gamertag now supports QVGA.
v2.2.1 – 6th December 2009
- Fixed a bug where the software always loaded in safe mode.
v2.2 – 2nd December 2009
- Fixed a bug in not loading the last loaded gamertag.
- Added a "Safe Mode" operation mode (When the application fails to load the gamertag from Duncan's server, the application will load the info from Microsoft servers, fewer info, but hey, at least it doesn't give an error message. This feature is still in its early development, don't expect it to be flawless).

- Fixed the bug that occurred after Duncan updated his web-service.
- Added a Christmas footer to show in both December and January.

- New user interface (Changed the buttons to match windows 6.5 UI).

One thing i sure have to work on,is optimize the code. its 250 lines of code to parse the gamercard. will do my best on that one.
Three other things i will work on are:
1. Auto load the last gamertag u updated on startup.
2. Change the photos photos of the stars rating and the G icon with other clear ones.
3. Will add silver / gold member colors.
Will add your suggestions to the list as well

Nope, cannot help out out with the theme, not now at least Good to hear you like the program, i fixed its big size problem, and now is working on some great suggestions from the second post, the links he posted are wonderful, any other links related to a gamertag would be HIGHLY appreciated

Is this trophy panel windows CE based? Does it use .net compact framework?

Well, unfortunately, i doubt i will be doing that, since am not a master in log-in sessions and how those are handled. Therefore, i will not be implementing that, at all. Unless someone brings me the necessary information cooked and ready for me to digest
Microsoft buying it from me, doesn't interest me at all, we're on XDA where Microsoft does nothing except bring us new OS builds
As for the mystery, am on the same page as you are. How idiotic can that be. 1 company, multiple products and platforms, don't they get it that they should integrate everything together? Actually not integrate, simply make all information shared between them. Windows mobile, and no x360 app? how inconvenient.

Yeah, all those sites and this application am working on, parse pages from Microsoft using a web-service which they build on their own.

Before you flash my rom here is a clear and neat idea of what my rom has to offer
All ROMS HAVE XPERIA X2 dialer i will cab up a leo and rhodium dialer for u people tmoro..also screens up tmoro.
After comprehensive searches and researches i can say that
Each and every modification known for battery life/ram usage/speed has been applied here on this rom...

I tried Opera, Safari, IE and Firefox.

looking forward to this...tohught things were a little quiet at htcpedia your last rom was a success but - as you said - unstable. Maybe look into an energyrom style organised start menu? Also whether you could have a custom background underneath weather? That would be cool. Facebook tab? Titaniu tab? Manila and titanium as panels? I can't stop dreaming...

Here's how you can check your build:
Go to Settings > System > About. Check your build number. If it is a 21xxx series, then you have an "older" build.

Before attempting to install this Cab... Please head over to Astronout's thread and read carefully.

My testing has been with a VGA Device, but according to Astronout's thread it should work on all Res's.
While I'm not an iPhone fan myself, the SMS window graphics are good eye candy.
In using Mintishhippo's iPhone SMS Skin, I found a couple of bugs. (1) First my MMS no longer worked. This was a killer for me. (2) There was also the documented date/time alignment issue when switching between portrait and landscape (3) I also noticed a gap between the "top" and "bottom" of the bubbles. (4) The "bottom" half of the bubble didn't cover large SMS's.
Wanting to keep the skin, the lack of MMS capability drove me to update it.
Astronout got my creative juices flowing... now I had the desire to weed out any "bugs".
Well I got carried away and completely rewrote the skin and updated the graphics.
Attached are the results of my efforts... sans the original bugs!
Hopefully folks can build on this and take it even further...

Small glitch found in the Ninja Port... one line of code was off causing emails to have a black background as well. All fixed
The new Ninja cab is Rev. 1
I've added versions that use the contact picture.
I didn't take any screen shots, because they look like the first versions I rewrote above. The only difference is that the contact names are on the left and the contact pic is on the right.
It reads the last person that replied when opening and uses the pic of that contact, if found... otherwise it'll be blank.
Attached are the iPhone and Ninja versions.

Astronout's thread has some Cab's to get you up an running using Windows Mobile Threaded Messaging instead of HTC Sense / Manila Messaging.
If you are using Sense 2.5, you may run into issues using the "Zenyee Disable HTC Messaging 1.2.CAB"
I've attached ThinKbLu's cab to hopefully assist you in getting up and running.
With the directions from Astronout's thread, replace the "Zenyee Disable HTC Messaging 1.2.CAB" with the attached "1-Enable MS Messaging-v1.1-gsm.cab".

i did notice on short text messages the bubble on the ninja is alittle off centered ... so i sent myself a longer text message and the bubble if perfect .... not a big deal for me but if you would like a screenshot of it let me know

Ahhh.. A picture is worth a 100 words.
Your issue is not related to the resolution. I see you are using either 6.1 or 6.5.
Builds earlier than 6.5.x handle SMS a little different. The earlier builds do not support individual message time stamps.
The bubbles for 6.5.x builds are split into two pieces. Given that you are using a pre 6.5.x build, you will only get the bottom half.
I could attempt to update the pre-6.5.x skins as well, but I cannot test those. It would be hit or miss getting those reworked.

I'm running an Energy ROM WM 6.5.5 Build 23542 with Sense 2.5.2012 on my Fuze (VGA). I also noted from the other post it appears to be working WVGA phone although he had a predictable issue due to using it on a pre-6.5.x build.
Due you have any screenshots? What phone are you using? What is its resolution?
i got an Omnia 2 and it's WVGA. i installed sdkcerts, your cab and softreset...but threading style is still the same. When i go back to home i post a screenshot

On our Omnia2, Samsung renamed (for unknown reasons^^) the iframe_style.css to iframe_style_white.css
So u need to rename it before or after installing

Based on my husband's desktop for mac and some iOS themes...so anyways any thoughts? Does anyone want this? Im working on it anyways >.>
So far everything on cht is done. Just need the taskbar. Release should be soon, but depends if anyone wants otherwise i'll leave it be for a bit till i come up with a newer concept. Now the taskbar, you cant change the text but you can change the font to Tekton or whatever font you guys use. >_>
There are ways to get transparent bg, and I think some of you guys know how so i'll provide an attachment for you guys to apply on your wallpaper.
The clock will stay white unfortunately but with the bg i dont think it's too bad, just bad blending unless theres a way to change it?!?
As for the dock, i'll provide some docks for you to use to make it more macOS thingy...dock..
The icons? Well i'll change them as I said it's a concept not completed just stuff from saya and junk. It'll probably be changed to something macOS icons or something...if your into that sorta stuff. :\
Lockscreen? It'll be based on iOS4's lockscreen if you want or i can just make my own more fun that way...meh i'll do both.
Did you ripoff the taskbar icons? No I just copied it exactly I dont know how to extract icons from a mac.
Why making so much stuff? I like to change the theme on my phone every ten seconds... =3='
Final looks like that? Yes but it'll be better more unique and stuff, since the only way to get transparency for the bg is to attach a transparent taskbar on a 480x800 wall. Otherwise it'll be solid white. vvv

Hello guys, the title is now changed to BluElephant OS inspired by some peeps on the internet. Reason why it's blu is because most of it's elements will be blue e.g the quicklinks icon.
Changelog:
-Changed the icon names to BluElephantOS icons.
-Re-did the taskbar icons finished the quicklinks icons and pretty much made it more unique to fit the softkey dock so you won't get too distracted but maintain it's visibility. (tell me what you think)
-Removing the PSD uploading new one coming tomorrow.
-Finished making most of the taskbar icons specifically the percent indicator.
-Working on making text black by editing the registries, so far I have only been able to edit the Colors reg(which edits the left side of the taskbar only which was successful) any thoughts on why it doesn't change the clock as well? I see that noone has been able to figure this out. I'm asking hubby to see if he can hex edit some of these files to change the core layout mainly the in obex file thingy.
-Modding S2U2, more reasonable because of the OS idea, also because I like S2U2 so making a full theme for that
-Last working on new icon templates to make you BluElephantOS more unique it'll also come with some new icons and finishing up requests by everyone in the Saya thread I have not forgotten about you it's just that i've been so busy with this theme I might import Saya to this and make it a full theme. For now it'll be CHT only theme.

One question - on the screenshots on the first page you have a clean (black, no colors) taskbar. Can you please share the cab file?

It's still needs a little work.
So far i've only been able to edit the left part of the screens to reg editing.
But I might need to hex edit some of the taskbar files because it looks like the color codes are embedded into one of those files. I'll release the taskbar as soon as my theme is finished. :]

Thank you for your answer - I like a mono-color, clean black taskbar. Will you make it or it will be colored?

It'll be a clean black taskbar as displayed here.
I do have some ideas on how to expand this icon but for now that's the look for BluElephantOS. The color taskbar is my SayaDX taskbar.
