ROM 1.16.407.2 German - unbranded P3600 - status - problems

Hi all !
Got my P3600. ROM Version is german ROM 1.16.407.2.
Very nice device !!
Problems until now:
1. Transcend MiniSD 80x not recognized a few times - after 2 days it seems to be ok no more faults with MiniSD Card.
2. Cannot answer GSM calls in mixed GSM/UMTS network - answering 3G calls works fine everytime, answering GSM calls in the same provider network (other location) does not work - software hangs with opened caller bubble.
Hope there will be some ROM Upgrade soon.
Greets,
Gerhard
Somebody claims a similar problem as your one (see Expansys HTC forum). I copy the post here below, since it may be deletet because Expansys is a shop. However, original post can still be seen here:http://www.expansys.it/ft.aspx?i=139981&thread=20

'htc p3600 "unknown sim status" problem'
I just received p3600 from Expansys Greece.
All the functions of the phone are working fine but when I try to use the phone function I constantly get the following messages "unknown sim status" and / or "no signal" and then my phone is freezing. I did try several times to soft as well as hard reset the phone but the problem was not resolved.
I also checked several other sim cards (operating with other phones) with the p3600 and still had the same problem.
I realy don''t know what to do next.
Can the problem be resolved or should I return the product?

I just found out that the phone is working perfect with a vodaphone sim card but it still wont work with my TIM card.
So now I have two choises. 1. I cancel my TIM account and I get a new vodaphone sim card (but I realy don’t like the idea since I have my tel. number unchanged for the past 12 years) or 2. I keep looking why this is happening.
At least I know that there is no damage to the phone.
Let me know about any suggested solutions and why is this happening.

your third option is:
there is TIM branded AKU 3.3 Trinity ROM seen on local ftp.
My guess is that TIM branded rom would be compatible to TIM SIM card. There is some simple logic to it

TyTN II radio problem

I noticed the following with my HTC TyTN II.
When I perform a soft-reset, and "logon" to my KPN provider, I can make outgoing phone calls. BUT I can't be called for about 15 minutes.
People who call me are redirected to my voice mail. After about 15 minutes they can call me.
I tried this with my Vodafone SIM card, but I could'n reproduce the problem with my Vodafone SIM, it happens only with my KPN SIM.
When I put my KPN SIM into my Samsung E900, I also don't have this problem. Anyone any ideas, what can be the problem?
I had this problem with Telfort on my old phone (I-Mate Jam) but a.t.m with HTC TyTN II I have no problem.
You could best contact KPN and request them to send your phone the phone settings for KPN. I requested mine from Telofrt and it worked al tho the TyTN II had automaticly installed the settings of Telfort.

I've run the automatic connection setup, and set it up for KNP. After my latest hard reset I cancelled this setup. (I think this is what you mean?)
But did didn't solve the problem. Would it make a difference when I call KPN to receive the settings?

Hmz that could help. As I said it worked on my I-Mate Jam. But the funny thing is I bought my I-Mate Jam from Dubai and I-Mate has a english and a arabic ROM so I had the arabic one, that's why I needed the settings.
I bought my HTC Tytn II from dubai. But the ROM is english and it had the settings originaly.
So try it

I tried, but it didn't help. My settings for KPN are OK.

O2 ROM -> vodafone ROM ?

Hi together,
I stored in a little problem.
I have a contract with vodafone (SIM only) to connect my Diamond (O2 ROM) to internet.
But if i open the internetexplorer or other programs which needs internet access it is not possible to build a connection. I guess tats my contract was not activatet.
So I wait a day long and tested again with same result.
As i pluged my SIM in my Blue Angel (Vodafone ROM) he builded internetconnection immedialty.
Is the O2 ROM the thing what prevents my connection?
Is there a way to upgrade my Diamond with a Voda ROM include windows mobile 6.1?
greets

Toggle between operators!

Howdy,
Well I have an HTC Touch Diamond P3700!
About one mounth old!
I use the swedish operator Tele2Comviq!
To often when I try to dial 90 200 (to Telia just another operator in Sweden!)
the phone says the number does not exist.
I also have the NOKIA N82 with exactly the same operator and there is no problem!
In the operators logo on the NOKIA it says Tele2Comviq using 3G!
- But to often on the HTC display operator 24007
And sometimes it says 3G Sweden3G and Sweden 3G!
I talked to the support of Tele2Comviq and they just say:
- We do not support the phone :-(
So finally I am really pissed off!
What is wrong?

WM6.1 update from HTC site to 3UK Kaiser

I have a HTC Kaiser on 3UK. (marked HTC on the front, but shows the 3 splash screen on boot).
I have been to the HTC website, and tried to download the WM6.1 upgrade for the TTYN II. I have entered the serial number of the handset, and get a message, that the upgrade is not compatable with my handset.
Any one else tried this, and got it to work with a 3Uk handset?

Almost all rom upgrades are carrier specific. The carriers pay a license fee to MS and Ms allows HTC to write them an upgrade for their phones.
Unless you Hardspl your phone and carrier unlock it from 3UK you can only use a 3UK upgrade on it. No other rom upgrades will work.
