Wi-Fi connection by MAC Address Getaway - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

Hi
Is there app to connect to hidden wi-fi network with MAC Address as getaway??
I have network at my work so I cant change settings of Aironet Access point.

i think it's called "spoofing" your mac address

not really. spoofing is to change MAC address to hack to secured networks. In this case Getaway have MAC address and My WinXP notebook find it by MAC address not by IP. Network isn't block by MAC filtering.

Accessing My Linksys Router Using Kaiser

I heard that you can access you Linksys router using your phone as long as you are connected to you wireless network and have web access. I have been unable to get this to work... Any ideas anyone?
Same way you would for anything, has nothing to do with the Tilt... If you're doing it from the internet, you have to turn on something which is likely called "Remote Administration" or something similar and access your internet IP address in a browser.
From the wireless network itself, just go to the router's IP address in your browser.
if you are at home and connected to your router via wi-fi just open your browser and in the address bar type in 192.168.1.1 (usually the default address for linksys router, otherwise look up correct address for your model). you will be prompted for user ID and password default admin:admin. this is the same way you access your router from your PC. it is also possible to access your wireless router at home when you are away by just using media net (or whoever your carrier is' data connection.) just like khaytsus says, you need to first turn on remote access while connected to your router from home.

Wifi Mac address

How on earth do you find your wifi mac address on this dam thing?
According to HTC there is no way to find the phone's WiFi MAC address from the phone. The only way to do so is to turn off MAC Address Filtering on your WiFi router, allow the HD7 to connect to the router, then look up the HD7's MAC address from the list of WiFi clients on the router.

[Q] Connecting to WiFi with static IP

Work WiFi... Our company uses a static IP. Well I can not get my phone to connect to the internet. The phone will connect to the router. It will obtain an IP but it will not connect to the internet. I've gone in changed settings in the phone to static IP.. used the DNS in the router as well as Google DNS and still no luck.. ios devices hook up to this router just fine after changing their static IP settings.. Any thoughts??
Whether you get an internet connection or not - assuming you're using the right password, encryption, mask, etc., is up to the settings in he router. Ask the network admin to set your phone's IP address and MAC address to get a full connection.

[Q] MAC Address Block

Is there an app like I can install to my root htc android phone so that I can be unblocked from accessing the router? I think our network admin blocked my phones IP address to prevent me from spoofing the network. Thanks

your network admin probably blocked your MAC address (not IP) or restricted the network access to some MAC address only.
The IP address is assigned to a device by the network (i.e DHCP protocol)
The MAC address is the one specific to your device (hardware related), the one that can be banned from a network. You can spoof your MAC address (unless only specific MAC address are granted by your admin) to connect back to the network. You must spoof the mac before each attempt to connect to the network.
Maybe there is a way to change the MAC permanently, idk

Disable randomized MAC address

In one of the updates, Huawei seems to have defaulted all WIFI connections to use a randomized MAC address.
This causes issues for WIFI networks that I use which require me to register my MAC address because they use MAC security.
There may have been an option to disable this in the past, but I can find nothing in the settings.
Is there any way to disable this?
Go to WiFi and hold your finger on the network you're connected with and change its settings. First option under the password is what you're looking for.
