What can we expect from this rom?
You can expect 3 different Roms...
one lite one with nothing in it
a medium one with all the basic apps I need (and I think everyone needs)
and a full one with all the apps I use
lite will be the first... only OS, no panels, no 3rd party applications, nothing...
not even a background image
will all be there in the medium version
edit: at the moment I'm flashing my Rom to Test it... will also take some screenshots and give a list of the things that are included..
but for now i enjoy the sun ^^ Rom will be up in the evening

Hey Kid_DC, cant wait to flash your medium rom. I've been trying to find a good WM6.5 rom, so far all the one I tried got issues with slow scrolling through the menu. Btw, will you include youtube with it?

and i think I'll spend some time on bugfixing before i release because i read a thread in here that says stop releasing 10 minutes rom and that was what I want to do.

After some testing there isn't much difference in batt time for me, but somehow the new radio doesn't seem a good match with wm6.5 for me?!?!?!!?
With itje's V7 the new radio is really great, but when using wm6.5 it performs a lot less.

I put the power-RIL DLL posted by fards into this ROM, so you can compare it to other WM6.5 builds and report

Yes it works, BUT loads 1000+ files in /windows/, saturates the programs memory, replaces many M$ apps and services, most of times duplicating them)
The Growing Panel's Snail is faster than TF3D

Nearly 2 years after the legendary HTC Hermes Days of ROM cooking, Forum Action (we were loud those days and somewhat profane – but for a good cause), I am back with a stable and fast WM6.1 ROM for the Blackstone. Why WM6.1? Well 6.5 does not cut it yet – the builds available are too buggy and damn slow and things just don’t work right. I am uploading it to rapidshare right now. So far so good with the ROM. Only small issue that I do see is that when trying to update my contact card via facebook I am unable to do so. I am able to put in my login information but it won't update my contact card with the right information or photo.

weird, i cannot put the log in details on my contact card but for others its fine, it syncs and updates status entries / birthdays etc......
i didint think it was a bug as I never could link up my contact card to facebook.

Typically when I go to the people tab after flashing I able to choose if I want to select a photo or use a photo from Facebook. I only had the photo as an option.
I performed a soft reset and I am able to see my Link profiles and my Events information as well. However I am still unable to sync up with my contact information via Facebook. That is a small thing for me however as everything else in the ROM is running smooth for me.

Excellent rom mate, I'm now torn between yours and Throys. Got 2 HD's with yours on one and Throys V3.7 on the other. Just doing comparisons as we speak. Both excellent roms.

This ROM is based on 23016 with no TF3D at all. It comes in two versions:
Lite:
Your basic HTC-MS apps for email, surfing, texting, media and basic tools.
Available Memory: Storage 316 MB | Program memory ~ 107-10 MB
Super lite:
Your basic function phone with mostly MS apps. There is no MP3 Player, Radio, or any other HTC app on besides a few visual enhancements.
No version has push internet, opera or Windows Live. You may download the cabs below.
This is a stripped ROM. If you are looking for my TF3D 2.X ROMs the newer ones will be out soon.
For more basic info on my ROMs, apps preconfigured for shortcut to be placed in proper folder, you may find it here. There is one RAR with some basic apps you may want.
What's New in 3.5
Everything from 3.2 and a lot more.
Fixed memory useage to where I wanted it to be. Was good before but now even better

Tried to fix lockscreen, let me know if it is working now. It is not

I tried the WWE 2.25 Lite link but the Settings->About shows build 21839, I was hoping to get 23409. It has TF3d too. Did I do something wrong ?
So, in this build, I dont get the start bar, oval shaped buttons at the bottom etc. I have been trying to get a build with that for few days now. ( 23041 was on last Thu/Fri and still couldnt get a ROM for that as well).
This happened to me couple of times on this site. So, I want to know whats wrong that I am doing.

Yes just have to fix a couple of small issues like what was mentioned above and there will be a 23016 version. From what I have heard this 6.5.1 isn't so bad.

Time Zone is easily done- if you have the "Windows Default" home running,
as is setting up email, adding browser favorites etc. etc.

you can always navigate to HKLM\System\GWE\cxVScr and set the bar width to 0. this will remove the vertical scroll bar from the entire system.
edit: did some looking around and found a cab that will remove the scroll bars from the dialer only and leave them in the rest of the system.

I guess the shortcut for Explorer did not make it in some how. For now download the exe version of resco so it self installs from PC then use it to copy the Explorer shortcut.
Since I do not have device to test I am providing my ROMs as is with no support so it is up to you to find the fixes for small problems.
I am not going to go crazy trying to find fixes for what's wrong with beta WM6.5 or anything else beta unless it is a glaring mistake by me.

the cab only contains a modified phcanrc.dll so i don't think it does the same as advance config.

No I was being serious. I meant it like if it resizes nice with the 6.5.1 it will save me from answering so many questions as to why 2.5 is fitting nicely with the 6.5.1 builds. I appreciate the link and that's why it saved me lots of time.

My ROMs are always built to have an enhanced OEM look but not the OEM feel. They will perform much better and the overall expierence for you will be greatly improved. I have made Visual Tweaks to the ROM but left it as an Add-On option. The ROM is also stripped of all Ringers, Alarms, Wallpapers and other Multimedia files. Also many of the OEM Apps have been removed and are available as a CAB install download. The ROM is meant to be clean, very fast and very stable and then I left it up to you to decide how YOU would like to customize it.
On the performance side many tweaks have also been applied. All of the common known tweaks and some not so commonly known have been loaded into the ROM to ensure maximum performance with good battery life and stablility.
The software found in the ROMs will always be the most up to date that works with Rhodium. All software is tested very carefully to limit the amount of bugs.
Please make sure you read all related info in download link post.
For user customization, I suggest. Contacts use Outlook or MyPhone. MS Programs (Bing, Windows Live, Messenger and whatever else) use Marketplace. Download first time and then after flash or hard reset you can download again in very few steps. Sashimi only to install programs. Registry settings, like user info, email settings and anything else need to be entered manually or back up method determined by user. Just be careful when playing with registry.
I am doing this because some software coming out on a frequent basis have been changing the way they sore info in reg that it may cause problems. Also, HTC Sense 2.5 - 2.1 may have different way of storing user data and that can cuase problems too.
Once HTC ships their official builds, I think new modified ROMs of mine will be coming out less frequent so won't need to restore as much.
Also, it may work on one ROM and not another ROM cause of software modders choose to install.

All drivers causing restart in RC3 were removed.
Final has no issues.

opera mobile 10... why pinch to zoom in opera when you can zoom with one touch on version 10? btw, version 10 is very damn fast in zooming plus a whole new set of features including youtube viewing out of the box...

the movies are stored on your SD CARD. check to see if they are still there.

You want the whole 1.3/1.4 Gig movies or just the opening folder cab? if second then Kumar ROM section has a cab and if you are looking for whole Gigs then ... you can get flamed for asking this here in XDA
