This rom is UC compatible.
Caution, this is a new method of user customisation without sdautorun, please leave out the 'reset' line in your sdconfig.txt

What you need to know
A few things I like you to read before you download the rom or decide to post a bug
First of all I like to say thanks to many people in my previous thread who supported me and for all the kind
responses I received.
As many of you know I stopped my previous rom thread because of a lot of negative posts there
and that's why I almost decided to quit.
After some reconsidering I have changed my mind and decided to continue cooking rom's for the community!
A request from me before you post a bug...
...1. This rom comes with many tweaks and application's for optimal performance.
...2. I advise you to first try the rom as it's and check if everything is working as it should be.
...3. After you verified you can can start installing your apps and apply your tweaks if needed.
...4. My advise is to do this step by step one by one instead of everything in once.
...5. This will make it easier for you to analyse if bugs appear after a application you have installed or a tweak you applied.
...6. Also check if the applications you are using are the latest versions because most applications are updated very offen.
...7. If you realy can't handle yourself, it's important for me to know which things you've done.
...8. Remember I can't do anything with post like "This isn't working", it's only frustating and won't solve anything.

A warning before you flash!
My latest roms are based on the new 1.59 rom with a new SPL.
If you are coming from a earlier version or a stock rom and never flashed a customised rom please follow the instructions below.
Hardspl 1.56 released. A big thanks to Olinex!
1) Follow the instructions described in Olinex thread to upgrade to latest hardspl (HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex.zip).
2) Ones hardspl is on your device you can upgrade to my v.2.0/2.1 or 2.2 rom.
Incase you like to flash to my earlier roms for Blackstone like V7.5 for example use previous hardspl (Unsigned_HardSPL_for_Blackstone_OliNex.zip).
Keep in mind that if you come from my latest roms 2.0/2.1/2.2 or 2.3 and above with hardspl 1.54 you first need to flash a earlier Stock rom in order to downgrade to previous SPL! Everything is described in Olinex thread as well.
Please read everything carefully before you start flashing!
Although I have tested this rom many time's I don't take any responsibility incase something
goes wrong with your device!

Known Bugs and temporary solutions:
Outlook notes don't sync with Active Sync connected to pc.
Temporary solution is to use MS One Note.
You can't add a contact picture using TF3D contacts manager.
Workaround is to open HTC Album, browse to the picture you want to use for the contact and in Album menu choose 'Save to contact'.

Also, try GFXboost. It's cool to see the device CAN go beyond the normal speeds.
Installation: Disable Manila or Titanium before installing the cabfile. It's to make sure there are no files in use when copying the files. If you have an older version of the driverpack installed, best thing to do is a hard-reset. I know, it sucks. But believe me, it's best for your device.

16-12-08: We're currently looking into the possibility of making a libgles_cl.dll wrapper to support more programs and 3D applications, as well as making more tests work in GLbenchmark. Also, we've come to know that The Android porting team seems to have some fully working ports which might have some answers towards our graphics questions. (so if you're an Android devver, please join the conversation )
11-12-08: User Draxredd pointed out that the hotfix by HTC seems to update ddi.dll, disptools.dll, gxdma.dll and htcmdp.dll. 3 of those files are sure to be used for graphics. Glbenchmark results don't show much performance increase, but it does however fix the slowdowns the HD had.
11-12-08: user lukexda mentioned that the iPhone in this particular case only has a resolution of 480x320 and therefor is faster. Draxredd suggested we use WVGA fix (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=455974) to correct screen resolution to VGA or lower to see if that makes any difference. An does it! The speed of some tests give a whopping DOUBLE SCORE! Now we know what makes our device sluggish. HTC gave us a device with a great looking screen at the cost of great performance.
However, we're not done in our quest to better the device's graphic performance. So please, keep contributing!
F.A.Q:
I've seen a few questions about this driver that come back each and everytime. So here's a small FAQ for you to read:
Q: What do these drivers do?
A: The original ATI drivers enable you to display 3D graphics on your MSM720X device. The OpenVG driver enables 2D Hardware acceleration on the OpenVG platform. That doesn't mean Windows Mobile's 2D interface will be hardware accelerated! HTC's TouchFlo3D heavily depends on this driver, and every update we bring will be aimed at performance.
Q: Are these solely for MSM720X devices?
A: Yes, since the files used only work with the MSM720X chipset. And not even ALL MSM720X chipsets.
Q: So, which devices are supported?
A: Currently only newer devices: the Kaiser, Polaris, Nike, won't work. This driver is only for Diamond and up. There MAY be more in the future though.
Q: How does one install this driverpack?
A: It's as simple as installing any other app or game, with one exception: You need to disable Touchflo3D/Sense or Titanium before running the installation.
Q: Why?
A: Just to make sure no files are in use when they're overwritten by the driverpack.
Q: Wait, you're overwriting files? How can this be uninstalled then?
A: Technically, it can't, unless you hard-reset or flash another ROM.
Q: Ok, but HOW do I disable and re-enable? TF3D/Sense/Titanium?
A: That's easy. Go to Start>Settings>Today. Then select the Items Tab. Deselect TF3D/Sense/Titanium and press OK. Use the same procedure to re-enable it.
Q: Does this driver improve performance in TomTom, IGO, Video's, Camera, etc?
A: Currently, all this driver does is 3D. TomTom, IGO, videos and such don't use the 3D engine. Most applications on your device are 2D currently, otherwise it wouldn't have worked before. But with the new OpenVG driver it could be possible to get 2D hardware rendering, if the app or game is written using OpenVG code.
Q: I've installed the drivers on my <insert device here>, but TF3D won't run anymore / Opera crashes the device after crashing.
A: This is a known issue with the driver. We're currently investigating on which files cause the issues and try to replace them. Somehow the driverpack doesn't work the same on different devices using the same MSM7201A chipset... <solved in Driverpack 3>

It's... Average at best. Same as the Diamond and Pro. For now. I'm gonna try and see what i can do to improve it. And i hope some others will aid me in that.
I already got the lights working with Hardware rendering now, but that's too easy. Gonna do some SPB benches...

is it a huge different talking about the screen?? I mean, watching a movie or something is totally different or it's kinda the same?

hmm. VSbenchmark won't run. No errors, but it just hangs.
Found an interesting registry setting:
HKLM\software\HTC\VelocityEngine\3D\Enable=0
I set it to 1. I don't see any big improvements or whatever. yet...
From what I've been reading HTC shipped the HD with the MS reference driver for the graphics.
Once the rom cookers get cracking I'm sure the driver update will be part of that.
With the Touch Cruise/Polaris, this made a gigantic difference in graphics performance and smoothnes of the interface.
I don't really get why the heck HTC won't install up to date and up to snuff drivers in new devices. It bites.
With a big screen like the HD, you need good graphics drivers.
I do have to say though that the performance of the HD is rather good compared to other HTC devices in the office. Especially for first release level firmwares
Well, I received my HD and display didn't impress me that much! Brightness is not impressive, Diamond and iPhone are better, colors and text seems to be faded. The white has a warm colour temperature...
Any one had the same impressions?

It won't be easy to patch this driver for the HD. The Polaris and Kaiser driver were rev. 1 drivers. The Diamond and up are rev. 2. This means LOTS of low level coding and WAY more time consuming.
And the Polaris and Kaiser drivers themselves are still under development, so don't expect anything from the people who work on those drivers. (as far as i know, i'm the only one who got myself an HD)
The driver seems to work pretty similar to the Polaris (my old device) and as I said earler, i got Lights.exe to work on hardware rendering. But that's pretty much it. No improvements on speed or anything. I will however see how far i can push this myself.

If you refer to display...not so gorgeous...I remember the X7500 one more brightness than HD one.

have you tried to manually set brightness ? it seem the lightsensor is'nt so efficent ...

Yes, I did, is the very first thing I do when I unbox all of them...At least from X7500
About the light sensor, it seems to work differently from the Diamond one, but I found it more reactive and the changes according to the ambient brightness value are more evident.

Nice! I see the performance of the X1 almost matches the HD. This could mean that a possible video driver could ALSO work on the Xperia.
I'm currently trying to see if the P3D driver can be of some use for the HD. I think it can, but it needs major alterations.

No Sunny day today in Greece brightness just fine. maybe uncheck the autobrightnes??? a bit slow some times.

I've doing some tests with the HTC-CA-Kaiser driver on the Blackstone.
I'am using the D3DM_ati.dll from this package. Lights.exe, D3DMdemo.exe and Triangle.exe running excellent.
Lights.exe tells me:
Hardware Rasterization: True
Hardware T&L: true
Triangles about 250-270 frames/sec.
Then i tested the Diamond Hologram. To make it running i've copy the HTCAPI.DLL into \WINDOWS\ folder.
It runs excellent!
TFLO3d also runs absolutly perfect!
But GLbenchmark won't run, even with original driver and the Omnia driver.
The first test ist running but the others not.

I decided to try and play around with the color a little bit. I liked itje's touch of blue but i wanted to make something that kinda mixed that with what i was already doing. This is just development as it stands. Based on what everyone answered when i asked what they wanted in a rom i'm probably going to make a cab that will bring it back to basic blk and white tfl3d. Let me know what you think of the look of it.

Ok I think I found a bug. I cannot connect to secure wifi, it keep saying connecting and it just wont connect to my wifi. I even reset my router and it didnt work.

By theme do u mean the backgrounds and color schemes that come with an non touch flo xperia?
I mean the theme that come with the today screen. I also have a prob with this rom, i cant send sms. It keeps saying my message cannot be sent, i cant recieved either. I tried hard reset and it didnt work, other wise the roms work great,
Yea i just found that bug myself while i was at the movies. I'm already working on that. Not sure if my lite ROM has the same bug. I hope to have a fix before i go to sleep.

Like all the roms I build in the past, all junks will be remove in the beginning for the base/lite rom. And eventually comes w/ a super full rom w/ Chinese support. It may contains lots of software you may not need. Just take the lite rom, OR remove the shortcut and pretend they are not there for the full rom

How to use my SDConfig package:

1. Extract the zip file to the root of yr micro-SD card and you
should have a directory structure w/ SDConfig.txt under "\Storage Card":

2. Myinfo.reg.xml is for personal information Name,

3. Edit SDConfig.txt to suite your need for what to install
after hard-reset. And put the needed files in corresponding folders.
4. My supplied SDConfig.txt example will:
a. add back the Xpanel w/ panels apps I want
b. install Google map, opera ...etc
c. Copy/move shortcut for start menu, and opera's config
to use ramdisk as cache and max for 9 tabs instead of 3
d. Copy the license file [U][B](NOT INCLUDED)[/B][/U] for Resco Apps
(Explorer, picture viewer ..etc), Core player, Gamin Mobile
XT ... etc

Bugs and workaround:
New Manila (TF3D 2 w/ landscape) does have quite a few minor issues. Any bugs/issues report with the new Manila/TF3D goes here.
The same w/ the HD Camera apps. Any bugs/issues with the HD Camera report here.
IGO8 can't detect R2A rom's device type and crash. put the following in sys.txt:

TTS on IGO8 may not work w/ TF3D 2 active. Run "No Today Plugin" to deactivate it before start iGo or use mortscript example from here.
(Fixed in 2.2) Data Disconnection takes too long in Comm Manager. Fixed w/ attached comm manager taken from HD.
In 2.8/2.9/2.95, the path to X1 Camera is losted. Fix:

Tweaks:
For all WM rom, SIP change may become slow after lots of software installed. Here is the solution that works by re-import the CLSID in registry. (Backup first!!!)

i need se panel 2. i know u wont put it in the rom, but can u at least separate it from the fish panel cab. i like it due to its simplicity and the fact that i can view two clocks at the same time eg hk and sf simultaneously. please! this would help a lot...

i'm wondering if this is a typo, but in the original post it says the ram disk will be 16mb. why reduces it to 16mb when you had 32mb in the 1.08 rom?

I know the X1a use different bands for 3G/HDSPA and I thought that it left out a couple of bands. Will the ROM include these?

No way. Because I will always be the first.
Reversedhex, I just pick any "unbranded" R2A WWE rom. The OS is independent to radio hardware therefore should not be a problem for x1i as well.

Hi Jack, my X1i can't display chinese characters with your 1.08 rom. I have to install sunglobe.cab. Hopefully this time round it will work. And VC does not work for me, even after installing the english version.
Hope to see there are a V2 Lite and V2 Full.

Regading SONY ERICSSON PANEL 2:
Panel 2 is the same Panel 1 with:
- Go to settings -> today -> and choose "Xperia Silver" theme
- Go to options and choose "color" -> "silver"
- Go to options and choose "clock & calendar" -> "2 clocks"
There you have your "panel 2"
(unless - of course - you want "2" xperia panels instead of one)

I like YOur rom because there are no manila tf3d . i dont mind for programs fom HD , but dont like the interface. I prefer SPB !!!!

This Rom is the first WM6.5 R4 Version of the WM6.5 series of HD Roms.
Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional
CE OS 5.2.23003 & Build 23003.5.0.60 dutty
ROM version 1.59.709.0
ROM date: 01/07/09
Duttys HD WM6.5 R4 this is my 4TH WM6.5 Rom attempt which is based on the Topaz/Rhodium OEMs and WM6.5 Core.
Facts and Features about this ROM for Newcomers.
• This Rom is based on the HD 1.56 Rom upgrade from HTC.
• 95% of HTC Applications ported over from new HTC Devices, Topaz and Rhodium.
• Rom has Bluetooth Car kit option enabled.
• Fully integrated Face book integration with your Face book account and Outlook Contacts.
• The ability to show weather information in your appointments by checking your city location in World Map.
• Support Chinese Unicode for Outlook Message etc.
• Push Internet also work with this ROM by just installing my cab in the download folder.
• Ability to Record call conversation by using ICR.
• Rom with MSVC advance Voice recognition and Commands, Incoming call announce disable due to affecting ringtones during calls.
Things to know about this ROM.
I have implemented some changes which I have to for the ROM to be more stable and because of it been ported from a new device it made sense. Some of the changes are:
* Remove old HTC Album due to the new manila is also link to it, unfortunately doesn't support face book upload.
* Remove Social network due to new HTC ALBUM not supporting it.
* Added New HTC Camera from Topaz due to its more advantage of better picture taking and also link with the new contact card, disadvantage no zoom available.
* The old HTC Camera can be installed by installing the cab in the download folder.

SAFEST WAY TO FLASH YOUR ROM IS THROUGH STORAGE CARD METHOD ALSO WITH USPL:
Copy BLACIMG.NBH into the root dir of your Storage Card.
Be sure to have at least 30% of charge.
Turn off your device by using the Power Button.
Go to Boot loader mode. Push and hold Vol. Down + press Power button.
Be sure that Device is connected to PC first before inputting the Storage card
Input Storage card when you see USB displaying on screen.
Now run USPL.
If all instruction is followed device will start upgrading through Storage Card.
Always ensure that you run USPL before flashing any rom when using USPL method.
ALTERNATIVE WAY OF FLASHING YOUR ROM WITH RUU.exe
Extract Rom download Folder.
Be sure to have at least 50% of charge.
Turn off your device by using the Power Button
Go to Boot loader mode. Push and hold Vol. Down + press Power button.
Connect your device to PC
Run BlackStoneCustomRuu.exe and follow the screen instructions.
TESTING THE ROM FOR PERFORMANCE
For users who has issues with the Rom, just try this, I have been using the rom for awhile and havent some of these issues, I will try and collect the bug reports unless someone else ca ndo for me.
Recommendations to trying the Rom.
Flash the rom
Hard reset/clear storage
DO NOT INSTALL ANY 3RD PARTY APPS UNTIL TRYING THE ROM FIRST, This is due to anumber of reasons new files drivers etc.
I dont use 3rd part apps or messed with tweaking ,as my rom is fully tweaked as how i use it daily.
After testing the rom and ur happy, INSTALL ONE APP at a time and use it, soft reset and try the device to see if anything strange or any bug as arise.
do this for other apps until u find ur source of the bug

I have moved to HD from hermes recently and have been enjoying Dutty's 3.3 and 3.4 WM6.1 rom, but with the hermes it was recommended to flash back to stock rom then flash with new rom, is it the same on the Blackstone?

you don't need to do it, just flash a new rom and remember to do an hard reset after flashing.

Like all the roms I build in the past, all junks will be remove in the beginning for the base/lite rom. And eventually comes w/ a super full rom w/ Chinese support. It may contains lots of software you may not need. Just take the lite rom, OR remove the shortcut and pretend they are not there for the full rom
Some removed apps (MMS, Dialer, Opera, panels ...etc) is included in the UC SDconfig package below.
Removed:
Unnecessary services: (Error reporting, SQM, Logger, Catalog...etc)
Unnecessary WM program for me: (One note, Powerpoint, Acrosoft MMS, Welcome Center, Windows update, etc)
Help files html, demo movie, mp3, and most ringtones
HTC Task Manager (I prefer QuickMenu or Pocket Plus more)
All the cabs in the starup customization (will be provided as separate install)
Panel (cabs provided as separate install in UC package)
Camera shutter sound (cab to revert it back)
Skinned Dialer (** X1 original dialer here, Rhodium dialer in the UC package **)
Added/Changed:
Disable SMS send notification
disable keyboard sliding wakeup
enable automatic time zone and system clock update
UC support (**Read the detail in the following post**)
Re-organize "Start Menu" and "Setting Menu" in better order
Registry clean up and some optimizations I cannot remember.
16mb hidden mounted ramdisk for IE (Patched Opera will be provide in UC package to utilize this as well).

Installation (**UC must be start manually**):
1. Install HardSPL
2. Use RUU tools or Micro-SD method written by me
3. Optional: Download my UC package, extract that to the root on yr SD card (can be the same card for flashing yr X1)
4. Optional: Review the UC content, sdconfig.txt. Then start UC by execute \SDAutoRun in the Device's root. (Tips to re-run UC after the 1st time)
5. Soft-Reset
Some cabs and extra files you may need.
UC package template w/ arcsoft MMS, removed panels, games, Opera (tweaked to use ramdisk) ...etc. (Please review sdconfig.txt before proceed)
HGPS Switch if you use TMC driver with your GPS software
UC ROM SDConfig.txt Builder. Highly recommend tools for UC process.

Other SIP for CE star (For ML version): Japanese (extract to /Windows), Zhuyin注音 ,ChangJei, pinyin

How to use my SDConfig package (learn UC here):

1. Extract the zip file to the root of yr micro-SD card and you
should have a directory structure w/ SDConfig.txt under "\Storage card":

If Medium packages from V3 works fine on V4. Then it shouldn't take long.

LOL, don't worry as long as I am still own an X1 since I am actually making rom for myself. I simply too comfort w/ WM 6.1 (and still do....) and didn't see any urgent need to switch to 6.5,
fallos, screenshoot? It's simply a pure 6.5 rom with all the unnecessary things removed and clear to give you 385mb free storage and excellent speed. Do you still expect any eye candy things? U may expect very similar look, features and experience w/ v3.x but based on WM6.5.
Anyone with good graphic skill to create icons, themes, background, TF3D mods are welcome to send me yr creation since I am very bad at art.
