Haven't Heard from Turnonyourmobile.com - Off-topic

I sent my MDA Pro to Turnonyourmobile.com in London for repair about three weeks ago. I still don't have it back. I also ordered a second-hand MDA Pro from them about two weeks ago. It still hasn't arrived. My e-mails to them bounce. I did place an international phone call to them a week ago and they answered, and said everything was coming along. So: are these guys for real? Are they still in business? What experience have any of you had with them? Is there anyone on this forum living in London who can check them out?

Call them once everyday, and email them everyday. Give your reference numbers when you send an email so they know who you are and which product you bought and when. Also ask for a refund if they don't send it.
Did you get a tracking number?

No Tracking Number
No, they haven't given me a tracking number. And: it's an international phone call from the USA to the UK, so I certainly don't want to call them everyday!

International Calls
Yahoo Messenger Voice calls are only $0.02 /min or less to UK landline. Yeah, call them everyday if necessary.

You have to complain, if you don't complain they will take your money...that's what USPS did to me when I gave up complaining about a package worth 150 dollars that THEY LOST but I never received it.

Hi, I have some very good deals with Turnonyourmobile, no problems with them, very fast shipping, good second hand devices. May be there is some problem in the communication, (try to contact over ebay).

Reassuring
Well that's reassuring...for now.

To PayPal Dispute Resolution
OK, time is up for Turnonyourmobile.com. I've filed a complaint with PayPal, so now the matter is in their Dispute Resolution Process.

I'm sure Paypal will light a fire under their asses.

The Saga Continues
I finally made phone contact with Harrison in Customer Service at Turnonyourmobile. He said that they did receive the payment of $200 from PayPal on July 1 but have not shipped the spare phone yet. He says they will ship it tomorrow and e-mail me a tracking number. It will have the T-Mobile MDA Pro ROM version 5 on it (a Vodafone 900); he says version 6.x is unstable on the Universal (and I think I agree with that). He also said that my present MDA Pro is still in the shop; it continues to have various "faults." So, at least, they haven't lost it!

so can you check your bank or paypal account and verify to me whether or not your money has been disbursed?

Some Good News
It's July 27, 2009 and I finally got the Royal Mail tracking number from Harrison at Turnonyourmobile. Apparently they are shipping both my original MDA Pro and the spare, a Vodafone 900, together, to me. I'll post again when they arrive and after I check them out.

Comedy with o2's 'Customer services'

Had some fun trying to get my XDA2s unlocked by o2, the only reason I now find it hilarious is because I managed to get it unlocked elsewhere! I emailed them on the 1st of Feb, explaining that my device was an insurance replacement, therefore I had no 12 months contract to worry about, and no 'subsidised' phone. Here's a transcript of my emails to and fro, starting with their reply:
Dear Daniel,
Thank you for contacting O2 Customer Service.
The unlatching code is only available to customers who have had their mobile for 12 months since its activation. It is not policy for the code to be issued prior to this period, in accordance with rules approved by OFTEL. This is because prepay mobiles are heavily subsidised to reduce the purchase price for the customer, and it would not be commercially viable for us to provide the code prior to the 12 month period having elapsed.
There is an administration charge of £15 for the unlatching code, either payable by credit or debit card or debited from your call time credit, which covers the costs incurred by O2 in obtaining the code for the customer. The manufacturer of the mobile provides the unlatching code, and there are some models of mobile for which an unlatching code is unavailable, due to technical constraints.
Please understand that the unlatching code will enable you to use another SIM card in conjunction with your existing mobile, THIS NEXT SENTENCE SHOULD ONLY BE INSERTED FOR BRITE CUSTOMERS but will not allow the use of your SIM card in a different mobile.
If you meet the criteria as described above and would like us to obtain the unlatching code for you, please provide the following information, and I will deal with your request as soon as possible.
Name
Mobile Number
Address (including Postcode)
Mobile Model
Date of activation
IMEI Number
Contact number - so we can contact you to take credit or debit payment for the unlatching code. Credit balance on mobile (needs to be at least £15 if you wish payment to be taken from your call time credit)
As this is not a secure connection, please do not send credit or debit card details via email.
I hope to hear from you soon.
This information is also on our help pages. Please click on the link below, enter your mobile number and 'Network locked' in the search field.

And my reply to that:
Hi,
Like I said in my original contact with you, I only have an o2 PAYG SIM card, my XDA2s was an insurance replacement for a stolen XDA2. Therefore there is no "12 months since activation" to wait, no "subsidy" to consider.
I am happy to pay the £15, please contact me ASAP to unlock the phone.

Their reply:
Dear Daniel,
Thank you for contacting O2 Customer Service.
I would like to appreciate the efforts that you have taken to forwards us the information asked from you in the previous email.
I have forwarded the details provided by you to the relevant department. Please note that it will take Up to 28 working days to complete your request.

Looking promising, I thinks, perhaps I will get it unlocked after all! Anyways, I get bored of waiting a few days, and email them thus:
Hi,
I know it was stated that the unlatching key could take up to 28 days, but I'm getting quite desperate. I'm going to America on Friday for work reasons [lie], and could really do with using my XDA2s whilst over there, hence me needing to use the work SIM card which isn't o2.
Any help greatly appreciated
----------------------------------------
At this stage, I'd already got the phone unlocked anyway, but wanted to see if I could actually get anything out of o2. They replied:
Dear Daniel,
Thank you for contacting O2 Customer Service.
I am sorry to inform you that your request for an unlatching code for your phone cannot be processed, as your phone is under 12 months.
Even if you have a replacement phone, the replacement phone should be of minimum 12 months old.
I realise that this was not the answer you were hoping for, but I am sorry we cannot forward your request to the manufacturer for an unlatching code as per the business rules.
Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.
If you need further information regarding this matter, please reply to this email.

Talk about going around in bloody circles, I've never ever had the misfortune of dealing with such crappy customer services, and I've been an NTL customer! I sent them this reply:
Please explain to me how this makes a difference? My phone is not tied to any o2 contract anyway! To be honest, I'm not arsed. I've just paid somebody else to unlock it, quicker than you, and I'd rather give them the money. I'm now happily using a decent network.
Dan
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I didn't expect a reply, but I got one, the same guy saying that he was glad I'd found a solution to my particular problem!
All in all, a completely terrible experience from o2 CS. I hope I never have to deal with them again.
Just thought I'd provide a laugh!

As its now OFCOM - doesnt this statement constitute a failure in O2 procedures. I.e. quoting a now defunct body's procedures effective renders them null and void!

Please tell me this is exactly what O2 mailed you as this has to be a severe insult to O2 customers (including myself), especially since the person writing the standard template must appear to be having problems themselves with writing!

Hahaha
Yea o2 Cs is really bad. So far i have spent about an hour arguing with these people trying to get my phone unlocked since i bought it from ebay.
I have given them every possible excuse to unlock the phone but got the phone same reply that i will have to wait 12 Months even though i dont even have a contract with o2.
I was wondering if u could tell me how and where did u unlock your phone from?? I Dont have a vodafone contract and it would be nice to use the phone on their network
http://www.imei-check.com
Will be unlocking them generally from Monday from what I've read. Price is 20 GBP
You can get access to this before then, but you have to sign up to http://www.modaco.com/index.php and pay for the PLUS service to get details.

If you can wait until Monday, you'll be able to get it done on www.imei-check.com. It's painless, it works, and it's only £20!
by end of the 12month, the XDAIIs already Out-date.... and we all using XDA 6 lol but the time O2 still didnt want to unlock the xdaIIs for us because is such a hard work them
AH, at last a chance to ***** about O2 (not such a fine smelling breath of fresh air).
About 2 months ago I noticed that the stylus pen wasn`t working very well on my XDA2, and then I noticed a few small scratches around the bottom of the screen, around the area that you write lower case letters. Now, its my fault I know, I should have used protection, but I though that I couldn`t be the first person to have this problem and that they might fix it under warranty, so I called Customer service (OH NO).
2 days later, after many phone calls, a walk to the local O2 shop, a few e-mails that have never been answered and numerous yes, no and maybe answers to my question, I got the definitive no.
Okay I thought, I have tried and failed, so I carried on using the old XDA2 for the past months.
Now it that time of year again, upgrade time (WOOHOO), been reading reviews and decided on the XDA2s, phoned customer services again.
I was given a price of £148 by a very nice lady, who did actually know what she was talking about, but because it was a weekend and the sales department was closed, asked if I could pfone back on monday.
I did call back the customer services on monday, I spoke with someone else who gave me a price of £199 and explained that it couldn`t possibly be £148 as they all have the same price list, the person went looking for the reason the prices would be different and cut me off in the process.
I called back again, different person again (I had been noting peoples names, but they were always on another call when I called back, which was within a minute of been cut-off), the price quoted was 200 quid again, but then he tried to transfer me to the sales team, and he cut me off in the process.
Called back again, different person, who gave me the direct number to call the sales team, I called it but the sweet lady who answered had never heard of a XDA2s as she worked for a company called alison windows.
I called the sales team number again to make sure I had dialled it correctly....."Hello, thank you for calling alisons windows...how can I help you".
I called customer services again, different person again, but this time I managed to get transfered, successfully, to the sales team where the deal was done and was told I`d have it in 2 days, that was monday, its now wednesday, just gone home for dinner, no new phone and no note from parcelforce saying "we tried to deliver".
If this is how a company respondes when I`m trying to give them money, I dred to think how they will respond should I have a technical question or problem.
I might forward this onto O2, anyone know an e-mail addresss that they read and respond to ?
Feel a lot better now I got that off my chest.
Cheers
Nikki
OH MY GOD
its now thurday, just been home for lunch, no phone and no ticket saying "we tried to deliver", spoke to another peron at O2 customer services, "Yes we show that you have ordered a XDA2s but as yet no consignment number is shown"
We will see what happens.
Starting to get a little annoyed again.
I`m now waiting for them to get back to me.
The odds are:
1/1 that I`ll never hear from them again, ever
10,000,000,000,000,000/1 that I get a call before the end of the day
i have read a post recently saying that they are out of stock i had to wait 2 months for my xda II last year and i waited a week for my IIs 2 weeks ago
keep your fingers crossed birdog
well, 1715 at the mo, no phone, and no phone call, I`m gonna give them 20 mins and then call back.
This is a disgrace.
oh...and someone ows me ten thousand trillion pounds
Oh pen6uin, your right
Called them up, and a moderatly heated discussion tells me I might get one a week tomorrow, which the lady didn`t tell me when she was taking my money.
This is a real disgrace.
Told them I want it for free or I`m taking my business elsewhere, and I was told they might knock 20 or 30 quid off as a good will gesture.
Again we will see,
They said they call back today.
Just tell them yor cancelling your contract and Moving to Orange as they have offered you an MPV for free. Thel'yy beg you to stay and match it.
Got my IIs for free doing this, only a £25 a month contract as well
got another call earlier, he offered 30 quid off, I told him to cancel the contract, then he suggested that he get his department manager to call me tomorrow.
we will wait and see what happens tomorrow.
birdog
I don't usually get involved with soaps but this story has got me hooked!!!
Please keep us updated!
Dom
Next time on 24
Bing...bong...bing..bong
Somebody owes me another ten thousand trillion pounds, they didn`t call
Just phoned them and they told me (again) they`d have someone call me before the end of business.
For more interesting stories goto www.blagger.com and type o2 under search by company.
Is peter erskine still the CEO at O2 ? If so this site gives his email address too.
Not that difficult to guess, ends in O2.com and has a dot in the middle.
getting bored of this now.

xda store Kaiser shipping update?

Begining to lose all faith in XDA Store. Ordered 8 days ago as "in stock". Not shipped. Emailed Richard yesterday. He responded they were expecting shipment today to fill all backorders and have extras. The day is now over, no email of shipment notice. Furthermore the Kaiser model has apparently been removed from their site. I can only believe Richard lied in his email. That they do not know when any kaisers will be received. Any shipment they would be recieving would have its own tracking, delivery date should not be suspect. XDA store fraudulently took my money and does not care the in the least about its customers. Richard knows exactly who is waiting for their paid merchandise and does not have the decency to tell them they have problems. Is any one else waiting for a shipment from XDA? All of you that received yours apparently were simply lucky. The Kaiser is available from other vendors (yes, at higher price) and he has prevented me from ordering elsewhere. VERY Low class outfit.
The day is not over for them as I was notified at 9 or 10PM the day mine shipped. I would email Richard again and just ask if they came in and did yours ship. Pretty simple.
d
this is what i received from him around 4pm EST:
yes, they came in just a while ago... over the cutoff time @ the
warehouse (1::30pm EDT) . I begged them to please process them and they
will do their best.
Good news is that they come with the TomTom and the US adapter for the
plug.

the latest update....at 8.30pm EST
seems like they were not able to ship them out as DHL already had done
their last pickup for the day. this means you will have it for sure have
it on Tuesday.

This sounds a bit harsh to me. I ordered from them just a few days ago. I haven’t received any info back from Richard yet but lets be realistic....this phone is a VERY hot item and I am sure he is inundated with requests like "I ordered 10 minutes ago....can you send me my tracking number..etc, etc, etc"
Getting items shipped to the U.S. like this is not just a piece of cake. It takes a bit of time and a bit more patience. I have no affiliation with store.xda in any way but just think that the assumption that someone lied to you because you haven’t received an email from them is a bit presumptuous. So is the assumption that other stores have them available to ship immediately.
"The key to everything is patience....You get the chicken by hatching the egg..not by smashing it"
just my 2cents.
thank you
My main business is a an investment advisor. I am held to very high service standards by government agencies (your investment results may vary oower). I can not tell people i have something, charge them for it and not give it to them and stay in business very long. Frankly the few dollars I saved was not worth it. Richard knew yesterday the shipment would not arrive in time to ship and should have said so. Frankly his lack of proactive damage control is very disappointing and it is very clear they simply do not care about customers. I do thank you for those last few posts with updates. At least I have been able to acquire all the immediate accessories while waiting (screen protectors, 6gb microSD etc.)
mjm,
Yes, there is no certainty that Richard would know exactly when his stock would arrive. When I asked him this same question yesterday -- about the stock he is expecting...he was candid..here is his reply:
Yes. Hopefully early enough so all can be processed for shipping out again
Regards,
Richard
XDA-Developers Store
Even AT&T stores could not forecast precisely when they would receive some of their stock... But I agree that he should have warned customers about stock issues before charging the accounts...
rgds, MN
I ordered on Sep.30 (last sunday) so it's been 6 days since i ordered and i have yet to recieve news yet. When i asked him yesterday he told me what he told you guys, that a shipment was coming in on friday and that all the backorders will be fulfilled. Since i have not recieved a notice, im guessing that the shipment came late and they couldnt send out my kaiser, what sux more is that i live in canada so it'll take a week for me to get mine, so either next friday or the following monday
hmm... mjm2950,
why would there be any lying going on? The next shipment was coming in on Friday, as per the messages, and it did indeed come in on Friday, just not on time to be processed into inventory, prepared for shipping and sent out again. Actually, they were ready, but as you can read in the messages, there was no more DHL pickups at that time.
I feel that even with the issue that it appeared to be in stock (which was corrected), the communication has been great with anyone that mailed and that honest answers where provided. It is a p.i.t.a. to work around the scheduling mishaps with some suppliers and that is what happened with XDA receiving stock on this item.
If you were not happy with the wait, why didn't you just Cancel your order and go elsewhere and pay more? I am sure someone else sitting in the queue would be happy to receive that phone.......
PS: I heard that this issue with the stock of the phone will be fixed with a good and reliable supplier they found and also that they will offer the Tilt with contract sometime next week or so.
Mr Byte
Thank you for you input. I email twice, only one repsonse. The lying was when they sold a product they did not have and charged my card the day of order. Anyway we will never see eye to eye on the service issues. My standards are signifcanly higer across all three of my companies.

To be quite honest, i work in a very customer service driven enviroment, and i know how things work... I know that richard himself does not control the website, but is merely an employee of the company that does, richard has no control directly on the site, he may make requests to the people that do, but thats it... every company is that way..
Richard has provided by far the greatest customer service i have experienced in a long time, he is always prompt and polite when dealing with him, and also relays the information accurately as its given to him. As with any customer service representative we are all just merely puppets on a string...
As for you, you are a consumer, as a consumer you have the right to make a purchase with whomever you choose. If you feel that you have made an error in judgement then you do have the right to take your business elsewhere... Im sure that you could cancel your order and get your money back and perhaps buy one on ebay and have it shipped out right away..

I think I posted before - there were probably 5 email that I sent to get 2 back. I went as far as to go to the website and use their form just in case something was going whacky.
And like the other poster - the purchase posted mins after I made the purchase. A week later - and it was still not sent. And I got two email giving me the "it's almost here". It wasn't until I sent a "Cancel my Order" that my phone was ready to ship... :-|

The other interesting part to this is that I bought a XDA-Membership to go with this to lower the price. That wasn't refunded. I decided not to ask for it to be refunded because I want to support this site.

Ordering From UK Clove

ok can someone please tell me what kind of duties you pay when u order from clove from the uk to usa? i want to know should i order there or order from expansys usa. expansys usa is charging like 940 for the unit where as clove uk with the conversion rate is about 760
thanks
u pay the straight price and shipping only.
I was also considering buying from them, but would appreciate feedback from anyone who's dealt with them. How is their service? How quickly do they action (dispatch) your order? Do they charge you immediately, or when they dispatch?
Thanks.
My shipment was delayed by 1-2 days since they required some additional confirmation of my shipping address in the US (another complication was I was shipping to WORK, different from my billing address!)
I emailed them asking about my order, at which point they said 'oh yea we require some additional infor since you're a "first time customer"', so I sent them a copy of a random bill, and a copy of the top of my paystub (since it had my work address on it -- they didn't ask for this). Said I was good to go and they shipped it later that day...
however I anticipated receiving (via DHL) this afternoon -- tracking now says its "on hold" -- I called DHL, and the phone did not clear customs. Apparently DHL did not add it to the cargo manifest so it was not cleared while in the air. Plane lands, they unload, have no record of customs clearance so they hold it. I had to send DHL a copy of my 1040, and apparently they do customs clearing late at night, which means my X1 is hanging out in Ohio right now (I'm in ATL); hopefully it gets moving, and FAST, once they clear it. But they said that could take 1-2 business days.
I am going to NYC on Wednesday, I REALLLLY want the X1 before then (you know, Google Maps n stuff )
But the Clove price was GREAT! Anticpated paying much more, especially considering other retailers are listing in the 8-900s+, where I thought I would have to be paying...

I was also considering buying from them, but would appreciate feedback from anyone who's dealt with them. How is their service? How quickly do they action (dispatch) your order? Do they charge you immediately, or when they dispatch?
Thanks.

I ordered from Clove and they were awesome. Excellent communication, great price and delivered as promised. They notified me ahead of time about the credit card verification process (which is a good thing) so that didn't slow my order down. Other than that catch ordering through them, it was a smooth, easy transaction.
I ordered back at the beginning of October and didn't ship immediately so I can't comment on the processing time to ship for in stock items. However, I got an email on 10/20 saying my X1 would ship on 10/27 and they were right on. Also, my card was not charged until it was shipped.
Bottom line, I'd highly recommend them on price, service and quality. Not to mention super fast DHL 2 day shipping from the UK (for impatient people like me).
Hope that helps
Clove was perfect. i had preorders on two other sites that were selling for $950-1000. 425 L + 37 L shipping = 462 L total. In USD, it translated to $739.77. $250+ cheaper than mobileplanet (expansys) or mobilecityonline.
ordered on oct 22nd. received an e-mail on friday the 24th regarding incoming inventory and authorization of credit card, shipped out monday morning the 27th, and received the 29th of wednesday in CT.
interestingly, the box is not sealed (i.e. didn't have the sticker that says nobody has opened it before). did anybody else's have one of those?

I noticed there was no seal too but completely forgot about it when I saw the X1, lol. It looked like they threw in a couple little fliers/ads for software and accessories so maybe that's why.
nice i wanted to know this also given that i was thinkin about ordering from clove also so how much in total were you goes getting them and what kinda shipping did you pay and get overnight? 2 day
read my post? it's all answered there.
I ordered with Clove on the morning of the 24th (this monday), they stated that i would be getting the device on the 30th or 31th (they should be getting stock on the 29th), i just found out now that they're only getting stock on the 12th of November and i had to ask why my order wasn't shipped yet. They didn't warn me before hand that i wasn't getting my order on the date they stated...
I ordered from Clove, UK.
1. I ordered it last Sat online (before the stock dried up )
2. Called early Monday and had some trouble trying to get my Credit card company to give Clove the authorization number (Clove needs it to verify buyer but my CC company doesn't allow distribution to anyone. Finally, Clove just sent it out anyway). I got it WED!!!! No issues with Customs, etc.
3. I paid $712 for the phone (unbranded/unlocked) and 2 Day DHL shipping (which is almost $300 less than other competitors). It was a retail version and brand new.
4.. Their customer service was outstanding, really tried to help me get this phone. They shipped within hours of CC authorization and approval. I got Tracking Number within hours also. They if anything, are too cautious (thats a good thing) with their verification of orders.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND, VERY HONEST SELLER.

I ordered on the 27th of October (I think you meant 27th as well) and haven't gotten any email update yet. Which worries me because now I have to wait as well....uugggh.. Feel like ordering somewhere else then but they say patience is a virtue... T_T
EDIT: As far as a company I ordered from them my Touch Pro back in August and had no issues with the service. Just wish the x1 was more widely available.
Clove The Best !!
I ordered my X1 on friday 10/24, had to call cc company to verify purchase.
received my phone yesterday 10/29.
excellent company and customer service !!
Cost $ 765 with DHL international.
Highly recommended !!
much better than Expansys who tried to charge me $965 for the phone, then tried to tell me that Clove is not a good company when i cancelled their order.
Cheers.
Did Clove tell you to call your CC company or did you do this on your own?
Clove sucks.
I pre-ordered on October 8th thinking that I was assured a unit. Sadly I was mistaken. On Tuesday I had sent an email wondering what had happened to my unit. They replied asking me to send them a recent credit report or transaction number from my credit card company. I choose to send the transaction number since it seemed a safer solution. After checking my credit history I was amazed to see that I was yet to be charged. I sent an email telling them I could not send a transaction number since no transaction was placed, and decided to fax them a credit report stating my address. A day later they emailed me and offered their condolences as they had sold out of Black units and said that the people who confirmed the security check first would receive them first as there was a lot of demand. I told them they had only sent me a security check after requesting information as to the whereabouts of my order. They of course told me all security checks emails were sent out on the same day. This is absolutly absurred.
So to clarify:
-I ordered on the 8th of October
-First batch came in on the 24th
-They sold out on 27th
-Received email for security check on 28th
-Sent security check on 29th (early in the morning)
-Declined first batch on 30th
-Promised (?) a unit on the next shipment, November 12th.
My question is how they can advertize a product for pre-order if they sell the units on a first come first serve basis. Their clumpsyness is unactable.
Well I just got off the phone with Expansys. They tried to switch my order to a US order to "stop me from paying duties and customs taxes." The guy also told me that they always ship US orders from their UK store from the US and Expansys currently has 300 back orders right now.
The last part is the only bit of truth I got out of him. I've ordered from Expansys UK before and it came from the UK and I didn't have to pay any taxes. All he was trying to do was make me pay the higher price on the US website and wait longer. What a crock of #$%^
Long story short, I'm keeping my order with Clove even if I have to wait until Nov 12th for it to ship out. I might try eBay but I don't know if I'm going to risk it not to mention the prices are way too high.

So are you saying that if you ordered from the UK expansys you wouldn't get it anytime? Or are u saying that the US expansys has 300 back orders?
+1 for Clove.
I ordered a TP back in August over a weekend, they processed the transaction on Monday (I sent them an email with the 6-digit transaction number for confirmation) and shipped it out same day. It missed the outbound DHL flight that night but was on its way the next day; had the TP in my hands by 11am Wednesday, west coast US.
For clarification, Clove needs you to confirm your CC only if you're a new customer. This is so that they don't end up exporting the phones to bad orders (black market, etc). As long as you've got your billing/shipping info all straight with your CC issuer (you might also call ahead to let them know to expect the charge in GB Pounds), there should be no major problems, except waiting for stock to arrive.

The guy was very vague and when I'd ask him to clarify he kept asking me how I wanted it shipped (Ground, 2 day, or Next Day)?!?! He made the statement that Expansys had 300 back orders (I would assume UK since the US store is still a preorder). He also said that they are supposed to get more next week but that the shipment wouldn't be enough to fill all the back orders. He was basically telling me that anyone in the US that ordered form the UK store really ordered from the US store (they would hand off the transaction to US). I should have hung up and called back when he said that because that is a lie.
Bottom line I don't know what the call really accomplished except that this guy was trying to scam me. I am inclined to believe the 300 back orders because of the demand for the phone. Take it with a grain of salt though.
I thought it was slightly strange that with all the demand for the silver one they had 100+ listed this morning. I'm going to call them and see if they actually have some in stock or if they are just lying.

Issues with fastcardtech

Hi to all,
I want to share with you what appened last month with fastcardtech site... I already bought a zopo zp100 and I was really satisfy about service so I decide to bought a new one but white.
Reading internet site I saw that two models are available but I was interested only in the completely white one so I ask availability at support center of fastcardtech that confirm by mail the availability.
After two day I release the payment and in a week the phone was shipped.
Where is the problem? The phone received was the other one.
After 1 month they could give me a 3% discount (6USD due to account limitation) on next order that I'll never do cause It's not sure what they will ship.
I didn't report all the mail between us where they wanted to refund (6USD) and after 2 weeks no paiment was released so I asked and they wrote back to call support center...
I'm writing this post cause the site is really cheapest but pay attention cause if there is a problem you'll not have support... In some case you feel victim of a joke...
Bye.
P.S. attacched the chat transcript for all the detail
Sorry for what happened
i faced the same problem they listed a phone with high specification at a high price yet it was just specifications hacked in kernel the phone was not of quality as it was priced i bought it at USD 295 yet other phones of exact spec without hacking kernels were at USD 165 so if you are buying online its better you buy from sites with payments protections like escrow of aliexpress as the product i bought there was real coz it had to wait for my confirmation the payments to be made which force the sellers to be sure of what they are doing.
In fact the item was shipped with very low prices i never requested for which led me to be over taxed as the tax authority had to do it by themselves.

I don't know what to tell everyone, but I ordered from them and didn't have any problem other than I paid $2.99 for them to root the phone which was never done nor refunded.
I used EMS shipping and had my phone within a week; the tracking was a bit wack, but I figured it out and it even worked.
Everything works great on the phone and came as promised. I can't comment on customer service other than they never responded about a refund for the $2.99.
Would I order from them again? Maybe, but you might have to cross your fingers and hope you're lucky but my experience was acceptable.

Here's one I busted on aPad.tv.com forum; regarding Hyundai T7 Exynos 4 quad-core processor Tablet PC:
me: I ordered 1 a week ago. It was supposed to have been in stock, but when I checked on the status it was still unshipped. I was beginning to wonder if the T7 even existed; so what aPadTVadmin said about them being in stock, makes since now. I guess most of these online stores get all their stuff drop-shipped, am I assuming correct?
aPadTVadmin: I spoke to DP a couple of days ago regarding the T7 for another reason and all T7 units have been shipped out. This was Thursday. If you ordered 1 week ago it would have shipped out nearly same day. I witnessed with my own eyes a large stock of T7 Hyundais being processed for shipping out last time I visited there.
Please give me your order number so I can validate it and check with them for you.
me: BUNCH OF SCAM ARTISTS! I contacted the manufacturer today and found out that they don't even start shipping them until March 7th, 2013. SO THERE'S NO WAY THAT ANYONE EVEN HAS T7'S YET, EXCEPT FOR A FEW ENGINEERING SAMPLES THAT WENT OUT. SO MUCH FOR SEEING THEM WITH YOUR OWN EYES... MORE LIKE LYING OUT OF YOUR OWN MOUTH.

this guy who wrote this is also part of the scam; he want's you think that the company actually ships a good product, while the truth is, what you'll get is an imitation of the product you order, if at all that; these guys are all in cahoots, and they're on every forum & youtube video out there. They are good at what they do & once they ship the inferior product, if you return it, you lost all your money, point blank.
aliexpress.com is the best site to buy tablets/phones from china. they have buyer protection, and the money isn't released from your account till you confirm the device is received and working.
Scam
I ran into the FCT trap too. Should have done some more research beforehand .
I ordered an HDC Note 3 clone from them and paid through Paypal. They provided a Singapore shipping number and the next day told me the phone is out of stock and was not shipped. Meaning a fake shipping number was provided. The same time the same phone is still listed on their website as "in stock" and questions of potential customers are answered.
They told me to choose an alternative phone which I did with another HDC N9002. 35$ more expensive which difference I paid. They did not ship, after a number of reminders they however provided again the same (!) fake shipping number as before. So the item was never ever intended to be shipped. They play for time and money to get over the 45 days to launch a Paypal dispute. So be careful.
Currently a dispute for full refund is ongoing.
Stay away from these scammers!
SCAM artists
I'm also getting countless fake shipping numbers regarding broken tablet that I actually received from them.
Beware of FCT!
They are always delaying with shipping (some items they never ship). Their policy is to provide a bit lower prices than the others at first sight and then add extra fees for nothing and eventually ship the item you ordered when it is already outdated.
Fake shipping numbers are their method of delay.
FCT
I recently ordered from FCT and of course before reading all the forums of countless individuals who have been scammed or dooped by these guys.
Anyway after 2 weeks from placing my order I received a tracking number followed by another tracking number 2 days later (weird), then a week later it was scanned into the U.S, 2 or so more days it actually arrived at my door!!! (bing bong)
I was pretty stoked however, once I opened my package (HDC GT N9000 Note3) one thing was missing ...No stylus!! so after numerous calls to these guys via Skype (preferred and only method to contact them) I finally speak to a man who tells me that if I buy another phone they would include the stylus plus a gift free of charge....wait the phone was advertised to include this?? blah blah something shipping he began to ramble on about.... all n all pointless
I'm now a month into having my phone which appears to be pretty effin exact to the Note3 however yesterday my phone just disconnected from my network and will not re-connect. I cannot reach a soul at this place leaving me with a fancy mini internet tab/paperweight/possibly shooting target..
Basically they were great until I gave them my money and the phone is awesome however customer service is a huge key to running any successful business and this is something they LACK.....
GOOD LUCK!

Be careful! Don’t buy your ZUK phone from Tomtop!

Hello everyone,
I purchased ZUK Z1 Smartphone from Tomtop ebay store (tomtop.usa). The description said that the smartphone has 2 years warranty.
After 4 months of use the fingerprint scanner of the phone stopped working. I contacted the manufacturer and he told me to contact the reseller.
So I contacted Tomtop. They apologized about that and told me to send it back to them and they will replace it with a new one or they will refund me.
I sent the smartphone to the address they gave me and they received it. Here is the tracking number: RE541532254GR
From that day I sent them 7 messages to inform me about the current status of the replacement / refund but they did not answer me. Then I contacted ebay support. They told me that they will try to contact them.
After that I received a message from Tomtop claiming they didn't receive the smartphone. I sent them the tracking number to prove that they have receive it but I never get a reply. It seems that they have blocked me.
When I try to buy anything from Toptom I received the following message: “The seller isn't accepting bids or offers from you.”
After that I did a google search tomtop.com scam and there was a lot of people complaining about them.
Now I understand that I have lost my phone and I am really sad about that. That is why I share my experience with you. I want to protect other people from facing the same situation. Please stay away from Tomtop. There are other stores to buy ZUK phones.
P.S. I told my story to some friends and they will try to help me. They bought some cheap items from ebay tomtop store to give them a negative feedback. They said that this is only way to press them to give my phone back.
Hello, have very similar experiences with Tomtop.usa:
So i bought a phone (Zuk Z1) from Seller 12 November 2015 from ebay. Got the phone and all was good, i got a 6 months warranty on the phone. But then the phone started crashing about 2 months ago. The seller sayed i had to ship the phone to Germany (i live in Finland).
I shipped the phone 10.3.16 and it arrived to the seller 23.3.16. Before they got my phone the seller said that i would get a new phone from them. Then they said they had shipped a new phone 24.3.16. But the seller did not give me the tracking number, i had to ask for it very many times before i got it. But when got it, the shipment was already in Finland but it was on the other side of Finland and i checked from the post office that the package was not for me. Then i contacted* the seller again and they said* they would ship another one.
Then weeks went by and the phone did not come. I have asked many times from the seller where my package is and about the package tracking number. And the seller also lied that the package is already in Finland (how can they know without the tracking number?). They said they did not have a tracking number and today they said that the post office has AGAIN lost the package. I think its bull**bleep** and i don't think the seller has even shipped my phone.
Now im waiting that paypal id prosessing my claim. Hope to get my money back.
same experience- very dangerous seller. It has put me off buying phone from abroad now.
I bought it from TomTop also, had some trouble ordering it (they insisted to send it from China even they have it in EU, where I am) and I knew if something breaks on the phone I wouldn't send it back because they're untrusty... I'll rather fix it in some shop in my country which does the job. Too much hassle and waiting with this type of resellers.

Yeah, that was the same address i shipped the phone to.
I did a paypal dispute and i hope i get my money back that way.
The hole scenario is quite strange, because Tomtop.usa has big websites and they are authorised seller for a bunch of phones.
I have an order in with Tomtop for a Xiaomi phone. They asked me for pictures of the front and back of my credit card. That seemed kind of fishy to me. Now that I've seen this thread, I think I'll just cancel the order.
bad experience with TOMTOP, AGAIN!!!
Hi all,
I ordered a flashlight, accidently thw wrong type and sent it back. Although delivery is confirmed by my postal office, TOMTOP refuses to admit it is delivered at the address they provided me with. Now I understand all the bad reviews and stories about TOMTOP on the web.
Don't buy anything here!!!:crying:
