Well done, Samsung. They said in the beginning of June that the Update will be available within June. It is now the 19th. Of July and it's not here yet. They better be updating directly to 4.4.4 soon or at least a fast Android L update when it is available.. This is the only bad side of Android: for non-Nexus users it takes literally half a year to receive a MINOR update... Am I the only one that is angry about this problem?

But what's new. Samsung has newer been fast or early with updates.
They would have binned the 4.4.3 update and gone straight to 4.4.4 which makes sense really.
It shouldn't be too long now that we start seeing it roll out to the S5, but as always it's luck of the draw which region gets it first, & how long others have to wait until it reaches them which could be months.
No one really has a good track record when it comes to updates... sure sometimes some are better than others but if you want to go a non nexus device you have to deal with it
They are taking their time for sure... Sony, HTC already beat them to the punch (dunno about LG).
I only can remember the supposed document that didn't seem so real to be honest, when did Samsung publish an update schedule?
As said before in this thread, they most likely cancelled 4.4.3 to go all the way to 4.4.4 but even Sony has released that now.

Reason for that being that both HTC & Sony software's isn't as bloated as Touchwiz is, tbh i think this generation of Touchwiz is actually worst performance wise & looks than the last gen on the Note 3 & S4.

Both Sony and HTC have a lot of code to add as well, but they are executing much better.
I suspect the delays are due to Samsung pushing a lot of devices at the same time and having limited engineering resources.
Most likely they are working on the Note 4 at the moment... and the 16 new devices they keep pushing every month.

Yes, you're the only one. Do you even know what .3 and .4 updates are? They're mostly security fixes that OEMs probably fixed in their builds before Google's own Nexus factory Android.

B,the minor security fixs were possibly put in the NG update we all just got

Who else is ready and excited for this update? It's been confirmed but no given eta, I believe it might be feb or may, like KitKat was for the Note 2 last year.
I can't wait and am ready for it now, wonder what features will be kept and what samsung will put their own spin on.

Pretty sure it will be August. LG has stated that the V20 will be the first Non-Nexus phone to get it, and the release date for it is the first week in September.

lg can post it, release it, whenever. lg doesnt make googles official hardware nor software. it will OFFICIALLY! come out when the nexus devices get released.

if all the issues were ironed out, all of us would like to see an N stable, but this is a development program, push backs are common, and they announce such things on the OP Community Forums, so far i haven't read that there.
they might release a stable before new years, the current beta 9 is solid, i use it as daily driver, all i'm saying that official on their website there's nothing yet to suggest so, specially that OP is known to tease such things ahead of it's release...as i said we all want to see it, my comments is regarding their official status.
I am not so sure that the official Nougat will be available by the year end. But it is possible to get another CB of N with some bug fixes. I tried OB9 and its rock solid.( Only thing is I don't like the accent colours that much ) Oneplus might play it safe by releasing official ota after all bug fixing is done.

What bugs? Been running the betas since the beginning and never had such a good experience since then.
I've seen an article somewhere(don't remember where) saying there Is a leaked OOS 4.0.0 OTA for the OP 3T. hope its coming to the 3 soon as well.

the leaked N for 3T was of Beta 8 , an internal test version, OP3 has beta 9

Well, here we are and no sign of it yet!
I remember going through this a few years back with a Motorola phone, I used to keep hearing that these updates were "imminent," or likely to "roll out," in various places, at various dates.
If my memory serves me well, it never happened and I got bored with checking..
I'll be chuffed if it does happen before the end of today, but I've already checked and zip! :laugh:

I have a Motorola Edge Plus. It's September and I'm still on Junes Security Patch. Motorola 2nd tier support is telling me June's Security Patch is the latest update. How are they getting away with this?? That's a flat out lie. They said that Android hasn't given them an update. Huh???
Well I saw this thread and began checking the last update on my phone, a so-called brand new m32. I clearly remember the last update was dated November of 2021. Guess what, there was a new update just waiting to be downloaded.
