Swype Official download. YES OFFICIAL!

All DHD users looking for Swype your in luck. head over to http://beta.swype.com
i happened to be looking at the site and noticed that they have started registering again for beta users. I registered and got Swype beta free. PS its a December 2010 build
SO hurry up before they stop registering.
Register for swype. activate the link in your email and then download to your device. login with your username and password and USE
and its official! Too be honest i looked everywhere maybe finding a working cracked version as i cant use the HTC keyboard as i'm addicted to Swype but no need for a warez Swype. Just register for the Beta.
Beta version works perfectly too. tried and tested last night.
No cracks, no trials, simply an official method of getting swype. Feel free to thank me if this helps!
Please note: Beta build will expire in 3 months as swype are not going to run one beta build till your hair turns grey. they would like to release newer builds with more features etc. hence the numbers of the builds. This is why they will provide updated swype builds with changelogs.
so as you will be a registered user you can download these updated builds and "test" them and carry on running each new build for 3 months till which by then another new build should be released.
Cheers mate
your welcome.
i know xdadevelopers is against swype being obtained illegally and i did have a beta version registered to the mrs phone and my old phone i sold so i had a cracked copy that stopped working a few days ago. i hunted the net for another copy and then tried to de register my old device on swype beta but couldnt.
thats how i came across beta registration reopened. registered with my second email address
3 months use only
You are exactly right my friend and that is the good thing
if you read it carefully it says
This beta version will expire after 3 months as we will provide periodic updated versions that will include new features and functionality.
meaning you will get updated builds, maybe in january or february they release an updated beta version which includes an extra feature? but i am aware they do update their beta versions as my x10 is running the september build. that was released 3 months ago.
doesnt get any better does it. you get constantly up to date swype builds!

i didnt take notice as i have used swype a long time with out expiring on my previous devices.
but if you look at THIS build not any other build it will expire in 3 months. but it does say "AS we will provide periodic updates".
because after 3 months of testing they can confirm this build fully functional then look to improve or add more bits to it and release a newer beta build, because your already registered for a beta, when they update their beta to a newer build, you wil be able to download an update and then that build will run for 3 months before another one comes out, i know this because i joined swype beta in june, and updated to a newer build in september before i sold x10 in november.
I got ver. 1.60.36.8214 WVGA on my DHD,only qwerty version,it`s not beta.

How odd, my version is 2.15.56.14870.t100. How do you have 2.17? Most peculiar ;p
I know they had released Nov and Dec release, so you would expect another release in Jan/Feb again.
anybody had problem using swype in Friend stream widget (posting a status updatE) or tapatalk? i try swype in the former, it always have cursor position problem, whereas for tapatalk it won't show up after swyping a word.

[UPDATE] MANGO Build 7712 AVAILABLE NOW - RTM NEWS

POST UPDATED TO REFLECT CHANGES:
UPDATE 7712 is Available for download via 'ZUNE FOR MANGO' for all those of you on Mango Beta.
This is called a REFRESH UPDATE ( Its the most closest to the RTM BUILD 7720)
THERE WILL BE NO RTM FOR BETA USERS, AND YOU WILL HAVE TO REVERT BACK TO NODO TO UPDATE TO MANGO WHICH WILL BE RELEASED IN AUGUST
"We didn't do enough testing on this particular build to get the green light to do fully public release. It is stable, but not tested to the extent we do for full public releases. This was a major reason on why you see this released as a 'refresh' rather than as a 'beta 3'. The RC (in Aug) will be released publicly (and freely) to all again"
AND HERE
"For the folks wondering why we’re not providing the ‘RTM’ version, there are two main reasons. First, the phone OS and the tools are two equal parts of the developer toolkit that correspond to one another. When we took this snapshot for the refresh, we took the latest RC drops of the tools and the corresponding OS version. Second, what we are providing is a genuine release candidate build, with enough code checked in and APIs locked down that this OS is close enough to RTM that, as a developer, it’s more than capable to see you through the upcoming RC drop of the tools and app submission. It’s important to remember that until the phone and mobile operator portion of Mango is complete, you’re still using a pre-release on your retail phone – no matter the MS build. Until that time, enjoy developing and cruising around on build 7712 – it’s a sweet ride, to be sure. "
First, next time try to use smaller font size.
For the second, Mango is not yet RTM, it was just a rumor.
Like Bill Cox from M$ wrote: For those following the rumor mill, Mango has not yet hit RTM. We’re excited about the progress... stay tuned.
Can you please make the letters a little bit bigger? I find them difficult to read...
So now it's official. Mango is RTM

I'm downloading some kind of update now for the hd7, fingers crossed....
for some odd reason, I can't edit my post while using my hd2, but this update has taken 40 minutes so far, and it's still on step 8....
Are you on MANGO BETA?
Please let us know how you get on

Cause sinse its RTMed I am hoping we get to update it with zune if people are on the beta
I didn't try the beta, I stayed stock. I don't think it's Mango though, the os version says 7.0.7392.0.

You will be required to downgrade to NODO in order to be later upgraded to Mango RTM.
I'd wait for your carrier to actually start pushing Mango before downgrading if you like the features in Mango. It could be quite some time (just ask a Samsung Focus owner how long it took to get NODO).
Interesting post here
looks like MS don't wanna push it early to the DEV's as BETA was leaked and also as It was just an MS IMAGE without the proper OEM DRIVERS etc,
DUH.
wow wow wow. Whats the latest version to the mango Beta update 7661.WP7_5_Trail or build 7710 or are these two different thing im getting confused?

7661.WP.5.Trial is the current leaked release which most of us are running.
Apparently its rumoured that the RTM release is 7710.
But It doesn't look like we will be able to update it early, might as well have to wait until end august to get it
Official RTM build is 7712.
Official RTM is 7720. The next DEV build is 7712 and will be released tomorrow.

No idea why the USA is only just receiving it.

Samsung Experience 8.1/8.5

Hi all,
Will Samsung ever release the most new updated Touchwiz UI called Samsung Experience 8.5 or 8.1 for our Note 5? Whats your opinion? If any news related to this, please post here....
It won't happen, at least the Note5 is already dead. Maybe the S7 could get it but our Note5 is already 2 years old, Planned Obsolescence means that if we want the new UI: Buy a new phone or Modify it.
it never will be
Nice
Thanks

Android 8

So no news about Android 8 to note 8?
Google will moe to 8.1 to pixels and in March they'll have beta to p, that's always the same problem with Samsung phones
Oreo beta will be out soon. First week next month or even this month. And the reason why it takes so much time for Samsung is because they have A LOT more software modifications and features that AOSP phones don't have. Recently I saw news that some AOSP Lenovo phone will get Oreo but next year! 2018Q2. So Samsung is pretty quick if You think about it. And Google released Oreo source just like 1.5 month ago. And in 1.5 month after source release we get beta. So it's extremely quick.

Not excited about 8.0 oreo but wants to know what Samsung will add to it... Something excited... Maybe
Have Oreo on our Nexus 6P. I don't see any difference between it and my Note 8, but I haven't gone looking for anything either. I just set the 6P up from a full factory reset for my wife. She wants to give it a try before possibly getting a Pixel 2. Seemed like the same experience as I'm used to to set it up.
What I found when I used the 6P was that being on the bleeding edge of major updates was not always a good thing. They were usually somewhat buggy, normally showing up as apps that became battery drainers under the new level, until their developers fixed them. It got to the point where I would not take a release until it had been out for a few months. Google uses the first adopters as Beta testers, IMO.
If an Oreo beta does come. Is it possible for me to sign up for the beta program so I can use it? I was in blackberry's android beta and bb10 beta program for so long.
Yeah I would like to know how to sign up for the beta program
TBH, not too bothered about Oreo since I don't think it'll add much to the already awesome Note 8 feature set.
My beef is with the slow rollout of security updates, waiting 2 months or more is IMHO a dereliction of duty on Samsung's part.
I remember the nougat beta on the S7 for the Samsung. Wondering if there will be something similar for the N8.

T-mobile Note 9 Pie Update Status

As the title suggests, I'm on the T-mobile Note 9. I was looking around online for a Pie update and found this page. I thought I'd share for those who hadn't seen it.
https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-39346
Apparently, there are three different statuses: Development, Testing and Complete.
As of yesterday, the Note 9 was still in Development. Today, it is in the Testing mode. Lets hope we're getting pretty close to the release!
EDIT 3/2/2019
According to the above link, the device is still in TESTING. In this document, Android 9 Pie HAS BEEN released as of 3/1/2019, but only to a limited audience. Not sure if this is a test group or what's going on.
EDIT 3/3/2019
Hi everyone. Please keep this on topic. The reason I made this thread is to provide a reference (T-mobile users) on the status of the update. If you need assistance getting back on the OTA track, please create your own topic. Furthermore, this thread is meant for users on the T-mobile SM-N960U, "probably not" the SM-N960U1 , which I know nothing about. Thanks!
EDIT: 3/4/2019
According to the document I originally posted, the phase of the update has now changed to COMPLETE. Hopefully, I'll have it by the end of the week, but we shall see how long actual deployment takes. The document provided in the 3/2/2019 update of this thread does not detail any further updates past 3/1/2019.
I just checked for updates. A security level patch level February 1, 2019 is now downloading. Size 1867.41 MB. Versions: N960USQU1CSB3 / N960UOYN1CSB3.
EDIT: 3/5/2019
I'm now on Android Version 9 / N960USQU1CSB3.
First Impression: I do not like the fact that the time clock is moved to the left side. They should've kept it where it was. I'll be looking for a way to change it.
I'm hoping it comes out next week. Att already has it, so I dont know what's taking them soo long to release it for tmobile
My wife's S9+ got the update today from TMobile. I'm surprised that S9+ got it first before Note 9.
Today it shows its moved to testing, hoping to get it soon now.

Been like that all week.
My guess you won't see any updated to the Note 9 till long after the S10 is in stores. T-mobile is a crap company and this is how they do business. They will hold the update till we have had many weeks to look at the S10. T-mobile want you to spend the money on the upgrade. It's the 25th of February this update has been available on unlocked devices for nearly a month. AT&T has had it on their Note 9 for a few weeks already.

If any part of what you said was even remotely true, then they wouldn't have pushed the update to their S9/+. Note 9 owners aren't the target audience for the S10/+
Imo keep Oreo untill the next Pie update at least. It has bugs and if you just got the device there may be things you want but aren't on Pie.
Updates are fine but OS version changes I let others be the guinea pigs...

Assuming similar as the U1 update not dropping until March as well
This is depressing
However, I did update mine manually using the OTA that is posted. Could wait for T-Mobile.
Went fairly smooth. Couple minor issues, one with Google Home. Home would crashed every time I opened it. In the end, a factory reset brought everything in line.
I would recommend this upgrade to anyone and I would also recommend just side-loading it like I did.

Ugly can be changed with a theme but then again ugly is subjective.
As far as speed .. it actually behaves faster on my 9 then Android 8.x did. Not sure what you are running on yours that would slow it down so much.
Been on Pie now for a week. Love it. Better battery life, faster in almost every aspect. Didn't wanna wait for TMO to push it so went the firmware science route.
Haven't experienced any issues that have been reported, quite the opposite for me. I personally prefer pie over Oreo, but that's just me. Now if only, they fix the Swift installer app to work with Pie (unrooted) now.
Saw this on Droid Life just now...
https://www.droid-life.com/2019/03/01/t-mobile-galaxy-note-9-receiving-pie-update/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+DroidLife+%28Droid+Life%29

I'm on CSAA will it be able to OTA to the least tmobile on release?
I am currently on Tmobile with the version N960U1UEU1ARL1, would i have to wipe my device if I download the update manually? In any case, I can't seem to find my version on the Firmware Science form so do i just have to wait for the unlocked version of the update or am I eligible for TMOBILE's
I am confused, on the official T-Mobile update page, it lists N960U1UEU1CSB3 as the build number for the update. I thought N960U1UE specifies it's for the unlocked N960U1, where as carrier builds for the N960U are N960USQ?
