OK everyone this is my philosophy to ROM development. I like to create a lite ROM first and build on that. I try to satisfy everyone in their uses of their devices so a lite rom lets you pick your own interface. From here I'm going to be diving directly into Manila 2.6. I don't like WM6.5 so I don't intend on making any roms for it unless everyone wants one.
TF3D ROM 1.03
My theory for the TF3D. I try to go for usability so the ROMs I release are how i would setup my device. I'm a big fan of the HTC Hero theme. Its simple its colorful.
I wanted to go directly for Manila 2.6 but I believe there is only two people who have the packages and they aren't sharing yet.

My theory behind lite roms. I don't want to add anything that isn't necessary for normal windows(HTC) operation. I added some games cause everyone needs something to do on the toilet They are uninstallable if u don't want them.

Good luck with your ROM! I see we share the same thoughts on what we like our ROMs to be. I am also not too crazy about WM 6.5 and was thinking of making a 6.1 ROM too. My Raphael ROMs were all 6.1 besides for one round. To me WM 6.5 is not that much of an upgrade. Kind of feels like you are giving up more than what getting back.

But then again the final build for WM 6.5 from MS isn't even out yet. I personally love WM 6.5 and can't wait for MS to drop the official so you guys can cook it.

Hello Bxsteez... Thanks for your ROM. Would it be possible to add some Screen Caps of your ROM. I am just wondering if you used the T-Mobile USA Theme or the regular HTC Theme.

Also does how do you tell ervius to build for 800x480?
The resources I have state dpi_192_resh_480_resv_640.

Yea i used Ervius's visual kitchen in combination with package builder and OEM2EXT tool from bepe. You can choose the resolution for the build in the visual kitchen so he doesn't have make something custom u just need to add the files in the right location.
OKay just got the tp2 and I havent used it in years. Plus I've never used touch flo... How do I enable it for this rom? Thanks for the help.

Nevermind... I just found the new uploads. I guess the original I downloaded didnt have tf3d.

No problem...if you need anything for 6.1 let me know. I have tons of stuff. I also hav a custom DLL with black folders that I am not using so if you like they are yours to use.

Thanks... Not sure what u mean by blk folders....
I setup my HTC start menu with Programs and Settings so it functions like the programs and settings link from the 6.1 Windows Start Menu. I mean the folder icons and such...

I am very pleased with the performance and speed of this rom, In my own opinion this is my best rom on x1. Ofcourse this is my subjective view

Update:
As per a few other people - activesync is a bit weird, but it IS functioning correctly and syncing with my Exchange server. If you double-click the soft buttons at the bottom they work fine! Very odd. Pushing the hard OK button gets you out of it ok too, so I can live with that given how often I use it.
The same double click thing works the same for changing the input type - double click the small up pointer and you can change to the keyboard, block input etc etc.
Weather is updating fine for me, unlike some other dude.
itje - Would you mind sharing the performance reg tweaks you applied to your previous rom so I can put them on this one?
I must say very nice. I've been trying to save up the money to get one of these and when I finally do you're gonna be my chef
One quick question though. Did you manage to port the landscape screen from Manila?
I know that should someone slide the keyboard open while the Manila interface is still on the screen it must be strange if there is no landscape support.
If it's not already done then it might be worth trying to port that from the Raphael for the next release.
Anyways the ROM looks awesome and I can't wait to get this phone and give it a try!

first of all:
Landscape is not supported on Manila from Blackstone. And no, I see no sollution to this. Perhaps someone with better hacking skills then me can try combine Raphael and Blackstone manila. Im not doing it.
Remember to to a hard reset after you flashed this rom. Many "bugs" can be solved this way. (The device is often faster and more responsive if you do this)
And another reason this rom might feel abit slower is that I did not do so many registry changes on this release (You can use Advanced config to set up more performance tweaks etc etc)

Would it be possible to cook a version of the rom with no opera for those of us that prefer the beta version to the stock xperia version? Thanks again for your great work.

Opera is installed via bootloader, you should be able to remove it (I have not tested yet on this rom)

I have done so with other devices without problems.
I made a norwegian rom for x1, and it boots up and all. But there are some things I need to work out, because its mixed in language.
I belive its in the xip parts, but im working on it.
to all:
Do not ask me if I can make a rom in your language. It wont happen. I might do a norwegian rom, but when I have done this on other devices, there has been so little users of the rom, and It is to much work doing it for so few ppl.
But, if/when I figure it out, I will make a thread with the sollution.
I didn't plan on making a 6.5 ROM because all the graphics are off and there was just too many bugs for me to release it. Well that being said i decided to release this one because it was pretty stable and snappy. I really liked the new location of the start menu. I hope everyone enjoys this build.
On a side note for all the upcoming cooks. My ROMs are not locked and WILL NEVER be locked. You are completely welcome to decompressing it and taking whatever you need.

I've been using it all day today and I'm gonna use this one until I build something new. The only issues i've seen are graphics. They are slightly off cause of the bottom taskbar.

It turns out that the solitare game just works like that now. You don't drag the cards u just select the card and then select where you want it to go. I'm fixing the xtrakt game right now. For some reason it doesn't work all the time but it works most of the time. Not quite sure why.

Hey Bxsteez... Congrats on this release. I have a quick Q. Is it possible to have Favorite Calling option in Titanium?? The only reason I go for the Manila ROM is because of the option for Quick Dial numbers available.
If there is... I would love to try this ROM.
When you say favorite calling do you mean a favorite person list? If thats what you mean this rom already has that titanium plugin preinstalled

I present to you the Shadowline Series. The roms I make are made to be cutting edge, using the latest in Windows Mobile and HTC with a mix of my own taste in graphics, tweaks, and fixes.
Because the purpose of this rom is to be cutting edge, not everything will always work as intended at all times, and that is where you come in at. I need all of you to test, and report back on what needs fixing, tweaking, or even suggestions for newer versions.
This rom, can not, and will never brick your device, unless you do not read the instructions or do something that you aren't supposed to do.
The latest HardSPL is always recommended as that is what the rom will always be based on.
If I do not implement a feature or a request, It is because it will not work, will break the intended design, or it will be worked in at a future time. But I do encourage feedback on everything as you are the ones using it, you should be the ones that have a say in it.
I personally do not own any version of the Rhodium/Touch Pro 2, so all testing will be done by you. So please do report bugs you may get!

Explanation of WiFi tweak:
When WiFi is enabled in Comm Manager, and you have already previously connected to a wireless point, your Windows Phone when a Data connection is needed will automatically turn on WiFi, and connect to the nearest preset access point. If no access point is nearby that has been set up, your Windows Phone will automatically turn WiFi off again, and connect to your local Wireless Service 3G or GPRS network. While connected to WiFi using this method, if the connection is no longer needed, or the phone is put into standby it will automatically turn WiFi off to preserve battery.

I do not personally have a Touch Pro 2/Rhodium so I can not test this myself. So please let me know what works, what doesn't work, and what just doesn't seem right.

same here i am having that error on my screen for 5 min i reset the PDA hope it will boot up.... can boot the pda but the error still on the screen...
Shadowline: Did you remove copilot from the ConfigAP file as well while cooking?
I ran into this yesterday as well. I haven't loaded your ROM though, but I guess it's the same issue.
You need to change the file:
<Your Kitchen Dir>/OEM/Rhodium/0409/ConfigAP.txt
And remove the copilot line. Then the ROM will boot up fine.
i cant launch the touch flow 3D so i cant go to the settings... cant stop the error from the task...
i reloaded the rom and will try one more time otherwise i have to remove this from my phone

This looks really promising, ive always wanted a rom with manila 2.5 on a newer windows 6.5.1 build. Ive tried some others before, but they always had some issues that i couldnt get over, im really picky
Just got a quick question for people that have tried this rom:
When rotating the screen in the photos tab of manila, is the bottom bar still stuck to the right side of the screen, ie does the bottom bar stay in portrait mode while manila moves to landscape?
Small irk, i know, but its tiny things like that that bother me, although i know that this has nothing to do with the cooking of the rom, rather than the windows build itself.
I have started downloading it before reading about the copilot bug, i noticed that the file size is >180 MB, which is strange to me, I usaed to dowbload rhodium ROMs in the range of 100-150 MB only. Does it make any difference for you?
I flashed this ROM on my Rhodium (RHOD100). Do a hard-reset. Then it boots. During configuration it shows square window (occupies about 30% of screen and is centered) with "\WINDOWS\copilot.wm6ppc.ca... is not found". This window has no Ok nor Close button. After "ca..." it continues, but display doesn't respond on touch and also on any button excluding the reset one, so I can't scroll the text, go back or to Today screen. It stops on "Tap here to launch HTC Sense" on purple background under error message I've tried to describe. No other action.
After restart it does "first use prepare" again. It never completes this operations and never get to regular Today (Sense) screen.
The screen during first use preparing is very nice! But not enough to be the only use of Rhodium
Ah yes. That would be the problem.

Hi, it still has the copilot error at startup
I do not know if I have the old or the new version,
(I was download/installing just before or after uploading the new version),
but I get the error too.
I have downloaded the copilot.wm6ppc.cab from the internet en placed it on my storage card and I'm trying to copy that to my Windows folder.
I'll keep you informed.

Thanks for the response, the speed-thing is something I'm working on now. I'll release a new version (with this build) as soon as possible.
I'm also working with a new build, 6.5.x, which should be online in a few days.

Flashed this ROM today. Good ROM, but still some issues need to be fixed :
don't know it's because of the 4 column program tab on the homescreen, but I cannot slide to other tabs (contacts, messaging,...) - only sliding over the menubar works

I can't review the ROM in depth because I'm about to flash your 6.5.5. ROM.
Just flashed your 6.5.5. ROM. My remarks :
I never installed the 4 column tab on the homescreen, but I find this pretty annoying, since I can't slide to left or right when on the homescreen
Settings in start menu take me to the settings tab. Again, pretty annoying for me, because I can't even disable Sense that way. I would prefer a folder in the start menu, so I can assign hardware buttons, enter my name and address, change the theme, etc.
hardware button 'home" doesn't work - maybe it has something to do with the 4 column program menu?
the help icon in the start menu is the default one when no icon is found
All in all a decent ROM, but the above mentioned issues makes my blackstone less user-friendly (in my opinion), so for now I'm returning to Mike's ROM.
If you don't install those extra tweaks I believe you'll have an excellent ROM!

How could you We allready got mikenificent if we want the buttons to be shown at the bottom.. i just want the standard lay out.. cant you like make a cab.file if you want the original lay out?

Leo 2.10 includes Footprints and Documents tabs but Ereader tab is not included. I've also added the Facebook tab by meltwater.
Rotation disabled by default. Rilphone 1.15.25.14 included.
Now cooked with CHT 1.7.1, Rado_K's people tab edit and all mods as seen on R series roms (transparencies all over the place ).

Edit: Firstly great looking rom.. Very nice.. Heres a ew bugs to let you know
- Start menu doesnt ahve settings
- Settings in manila takes you to Connection settings
- Not really a bug but no htc menus
Those are just all i have found so far.. Il look out for more..
But the rom looks great.. I would probably suggest a few of your beautiful modifications to be included

Thanks for that. I believe I uploaded the wrong one (I got the settings link back after discovering my edit to make it point to WM settings instead of manila broke the link) so I should be able to restore that in the next build. This is related to the connection settings issue, and will probably be a deal breaker for most people - have to get a fixed version up tomorrow I think!
As for modifications I'm not sure what to include as I personally prefer the MaxTTM and cab method of modifying - I change my themeing on an almost daily basis and if it's cooked in you can't remove it, only cover it up.

No, only Leo based roms have those tabs. Balaji has kindly let me have his kitchen, which is Leo 2.10 based, as his HD has sadly died I hope to get a 21895 build version based on his superb rom out quickly, though I personally find those tabs cause just a bit too much slowdown.
Well, after 1 hour testing, result is: WLAN not working, Bluetooth not working, But otherwise ROM looks nice almost like STOCK ROM, u should incude Footprints in next release .

One minor BUG, sometimes i get Voice Command error mesage /low memmory issue/ the message is reapearing time to time.... But other is working nice and thanks for Footprints and Reader. Keep up the good work.

The rhodium 2.07 rom was leaked about a month ago, yesterdays release is the official version of that leaked rom. The packages are identical, so there's nothing new.

Leo rom uses manila from the Leo phone (HD2) and Rhodium uses manila taken from the Rhodium device (Touch Pro 2). HD2 has snapdragon processor, TP2 has same processor as our HD's. So Leo manila includes documents, ereader and footprints tabs which cause some slowdown while Rhodium manila is optimised to run on a device without a snapdragon processor. The differences are mentioned in the rom notes sections in post #1 and #2, as is the manila build number at the top of each post.
In terms of what's suitable: the rom forum is full of Leo 2.10 based roms as this has more features and is slightly newer than Rhodium 2.07. However I wanted to cook a Rhodium rom as I find it noticeably faster - I never intended to make a Leo 2.10 based rom but Balaji gave me all the files in his kitchen so it was very easy to make a rom based on his work.

This may not be the most accurate memory check as I'm currently using MaxSense on my phone (I'm 1 of Maxycy's beta testers and skinners).
Anyway memory usage after reset (with MaxSense running):

Hi millski, please can you tell me, do you intend to update your Rhodium rom with Office 2010 and Opera 10 final?
If so, can you give a time estimate please?
