Xperia Camera using laggy Nightmodus - XPERIA X1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Sup guys,
I don't know if you all got this problem too,
but when i use nightmodus on my xperia camera,
it's sooooo unbelievable laggy.
I just can't use it..

does anybody have a solution for this?

nope, that's not laggy - nightmodus is using higher sensitivity (aka ISO). You'll have the same with any other cellphone with nightmodus.
More about this here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Film_speed
In other words - no solution, as there probably can't be any

ahhh, that sucks..
but I know what you mean,
I think it's a waste of the Xperia Nightmodus
I remember that a friend of mine had a LG Viewty,
which have a great camera!(I really loved the Nightmodus)
But thanks for the info bro

Omnia Interface

Hello friends, here writing from Venezuela. What's up! I bought and Sony Xperia X1i last week and I most say it: MEN! WHAT A PHONE!! Is very very good, I'm very happy with it.
Before I was in love with my Blue Angel Siemens SX66, I flashed it until it couldn't take it any more, like 4 years updating it Later I had to move on to another phone because my SX66 was almost broken, but I was curious about the Xperia until finally I got it.
Well, to the point. Today I was watching some other phone's videos because people keep saying that I spend a lot of money in my Xperia when I could buy another phone like the Nokia N95 or the Samsung Omnia i900. I think they are crazy. In some points those phones has good stuff but, I love my Xperia (only the screen size could be bigger but it's ok). Anyway, i found this video:
In that video you can see that the screen interface is very friendly, but I like very much is the screen rotation. When you rotate the phone, the screen rotates automatic showing and cool animation, THAT animation is what I whant to know if there some way to port it to my Xperia. I know that the Xperia doesn't have accelerometer but It will be cool if I can slide the keyboard and see that animation in action.
Any ideas? Thanks guys for your atention and I'm here to help too, I'm new but maybe I can help in something like uploading my stuff and things like that. See ya!
the only good stuff about Omnia is the rotation's sensor, pretty cool. But anyway Xperia is ass kicker !!!!!!!!!
Hey dude, du u think it is senseful just to judge a phone because of it's g-sensor and animation when rotating the phone... I have an Omnia, but never used the X1, so i can't really decide which one is better, but i think, the g-sensor is one of the more unimportant things...it's helpful and both phones have one... could you maybe give some informations about the really interesting stuff, like cpu, ram, rom, > benchmark results < etc ? that would be interesting... then i can benchmark my phone,too... this would be helpful, maybe for others, too
hushcake
edit : sry, i've read the second part again, you checked more then the sensor, right, but a benchmark-result would be nice or 2 or 3 ^^
i think he doesnt want to compare these 2 phones. I think he's only looking for a way to port this rotating animation to his x1
LOL
He is right, I just want to port that animation to my Xperia, just that, I don't want to compare phone or fight about witch is the best.

To me, G-Sensor is the most annoying thing that has ever happened to technology.
Iphone's accelrometer sucked
N95's sucked
Touch Pro sucked...
I always turn off the option if I ever can.

[Q] Exchange Lg Optimus Black for Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S ?

Should I give Lg Optimus Black and 59.76 USD for Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S ?
I want sincerely tips ... and FAST ...
My mom has it and the only thing that is bad is the small internal memory.
So if you don't care about that, go for it.
Sent from my phone powered by 4.2
So it`s faster than OB ?
I don`t care about memory because I don`t use so many apps.. I have 5 apps installed on my phone.. and I guess some of them you can move on the SD card .
I heard 1.4 Ghz Scorpion is not as good as it seems .. today I`m gonna buy it, so again.. one more opinion ?
Or RomWiz, can you tell me if it is fast, and other kinds.. like camera quality ?
Thanks .

You may check this comparison......the only problem are the internal memory.

i would not recommend changing to an arc s
I didn`t made it, after all. He wanted even more moneys.. and I told him : Go to h*ll !
Thanks for your tips.

[Q] Owners Camera Performance Opinions

I've got this phone on on order from 3 to replace my One X. A bit gutted about the bootloader situation but there you go...
I've tried the XZ for at least 15 minutes in the 3 store and I'm more than happy with the screen/viewing angles, performance, UI etc. and I feel reassured from another thread in XDA that the battery will be at least no worse than my one x.
The unanswered question for me is the camera.
I'd hugely appreciate it if some of you guys who already have it would be prepared to share their thoughts.
The reviews are mixed to say the least.
Thanks in advance guys and gals!!
bump
Thanks, thats really useful

Just real world use. I've read all of the reviews and they seem to range from dreadful to good. I'm looking for decent photos but I'm not really fussy so I was hoping that the people who already have the phone could confirm if they were happy or not.

i've read all the reviews in the first 3 or 4 pages on google...
no one puts the camera in "cons" section, the worse one sais that is aligned to last year flagships, and that is not "entusiastic", others say it's very good, others excellent...
no one says dreadful or crap about it
i would see at gsmarena pics, those are made in same conditions on all phones, so it's a valid measurement system, others are just "ambient dependant" and "photographer" dependant...
Thanks for the reply, I was really looking for feedback from anyone who actually had the phone and a few days experience if possible.
hey. i got my phone till yesterday and did a few shots here and there. i cant really compare to anything spec related, since my last phone was a SGS2,
and i am by no means a camera enthusiast.
what can i say, i like the quality^^ the videos look snappy, the pictures too, so theres that. not really helpfull at all, but im surely not disappointed if this means anything to you.
NOT sent from my Xperia Z - but felt like bragging
edit: one function i really like is the automatic mode detection, puts on macro if you need it and so on. the panorama mode is nice and fast and the focus is accurate and fast too.

[Q] Should I get the Xperia Z?

Hey guys, I'm thinking of getting an Xperia Z soon but after doing a bit of research, it seems like this phone has a lot of pretty serious problems. This article mentions the most common ones:
http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/sony-xperia-z-problems-bug-fixes/
Well, I was just wondering if these problems still exist? I know that most Sony phones have problems related to WiFi and poor battery life, but is it especially bad on the Xperia Z?
Also, are there any other more serious problems I should be aware of, such as the sudden death problem (which apparently is now fixed?) ?
What are you doing with your phone mostly? do you have any other options?
in my opinion you should look for something else, but xperia z does its job very well (except POOR pics quality...)

I don't really use my phone much, mostly just txt and calls, light web browsing and gaming.
I don't have many options, mainly because the other alternatives are expensive. I'm considering this an option because someone is selling it cheap 2nd hand, and it's within my acceptable range.
wow my friend , this article is pretty old
all of these issues had resolved by sony updates
the phone work like a charm since fabruary , rooted and unlocked bootloader
battery life is averge but good standby time
camera is good but not wow
if u r not up to buying z1 or lg g2 , xperia z is a good phone

Well, that's good to hear. I just wanted to make sure, because from the many comments I've read, many people have had serious problems with WiFi and battery issues. It also seems a pretty well known problem among Sony phones, similar to how HTC phones have had display, WiFi and overheating issues.

Xperia Z is an beautiful beast, and with unlocked bootloader and custom ROM (or de-bloated / tweaked stock) / custom kernel, the battery life is simply amazing.
Get it and tweak it after your usage patterns!
Z is awesome... Is got it for myself n dont regret it a bit...
But the choice is yours... U should b satisfied with wat choice u make... Its just like a gud wife

Get the Nexus 5.

Colour adjustments can be done after flashing a custom kernel. Use an app to adjust RGB and gamma values after that.
@Tommy-Geenexus Zombie kernel for example, which is pre-tuned gamma (and it is good )
Yeah you'll have to unlock boatloader and use a custom kernel like Zombie to get a solid result.
Sent via Tapatalk on my Xperia Z
Hello, could anybody provide a link to video or screens which compare colors/contrast of this kernel with stock one? Thanks.
Odoslané z C6603 pomocou Tapatalku
Screens wont work because they will be identical. Recording a video or taking a photo is, but do you really expect us to go to the trouble of.getting a second camera or phone and do this just for you? Maybe someone will but I wouldn't expect it.
If it troubles you that much, you can unlock boatloader and try it yourself.
Sent via Tapatalk on my Xperia Z
Of course I dont make anybody even to do it nor especially for me.
I just thought somebody who read about it could also share some existing comparasion if there it is.
whats yout illumination setting and how have you set white balance
