Hello all,
Here's my little contribution to the community after having received so much from so many. I've been using these folder icons because I wanted something that went with my phone and I couldn't stand the default yellow ones.
If anyone wants something added to the set I'd be more than happy to do so, especially if they supply the icon to go on the folder

How-To
I recommend using one of several icon changing apps available at XDA. The one I currently use is JWMD's Icon Changer, and have used and liked Showaco's reSTART too.
CREDITS
The base folder icon came from the HydroPRO Icon Pack, which is floating around all over the net. Here's a link from my site if you just want to d/l it and not do all the searching. I got it from Vista Icons and it was written by mediaDesign at DeviantArt
Many of the other images I put on top of the folders are from the Alpha Dista Icon Pack, also floating around all over the net. Here's a quick link for that too. I got this from Vista Icons as well. It was written by Danial Flaco at Deviant Art.
The rest of the images were taken from various logos on the web, images I've come across, and stock WM 6.5 / ATT Tilt 2 icons.
Obviously, I make no claim to the original artwork and do not request any kind of credit (I only super-imposed the images I liked, after all) and I place no limits on what you do with this set. Feel free to use, distribute, alter, etc. etc. I'd suggest that if you are looking to sell any of it that you contact the artists listed above first

Hi wokwitme
In WM6.5 use reSTART by Showaco to reassign icons to folders. In this case image files must be placed in:
\Program Files\reSTART\icons\
In WM6.1 you need to convert icons into .ico files and then into a .dll library. once in a .dll library you place a link in the folder you wish to assign an icon to called icon.lnk. The shortcut of the icon.lnk file must point to the .dll library and the index number of the icon you want to be displayed.
There are better WM6.1 tutorials on the forum.

I'm not sure if this was directed at me or what you're asking for here... The icons just go in a folder on the device of your choosing. I use "\My Documents\My Icons" for convenience.
To apply the icons for you would be very tough, a lot of people have their own layouts and organizations to folder structure. Unless you have the exact layout I have, automatically applying them wont work.

(special note), "Calendar" Icon will not display as in pic, due the type of device. Only on a Iphone will it be displayed that way.
With the help and inspiration from Bluemetalaxe and many others here, I was able to create some icons for UL. All the icons are 48x48 pixels, which the size can be altered in the UL settings. Up to five 48x48 icons can be placed side by side and flushed on the bottom of your today screen.
What I suggest is creating a new "UL Icon" folder on your SD card, so that you can save and use as many icons as you'd like, without worrying about memory.

The application I use to make the icons (Icofx) can be located in post # 13. Also if you have any icon request, please let me know.

A brief tutorial on using and installing UL icons:
Bottom Task Bar: If you and when you want to disable the bottom task bar in your today screen, download and install dcinobar.exe, and place it in your windows\startup folder in your device, then reboot.
Scroll Bar in Today Screen: If you and when you want to disable the scroll bar on your today screen, (so you can place your UL icons on the bottom), go into the registry settings of your device, (HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items\Ultimatelaunch\" and change "Type" from "4" to "5”. This value locks the plugin to the today screen effectively, thus disabling (removing) the today screen scroll bar (then reboot so the setting will stick). Special note … you have to also Uncheck all your “today” plugins, which is located in your settings/today/Items folder, you want nothing but icons on your today screen like the pics in the first post.
Icons on the bottom of the screen: If and when you want the UL tabs/icons to sit against the bottom of the today screen, you have to go into the UL settings, then go into the “Display” folder like in the picture above. Pllease note the settings I currently have. Checking the "Fixed Plugin-height" box will enable you to adjust the space between the top and bottom tabs. The higher the number, the more space between and vice versa get it? Good!!. Now also make you choose "bottom" in the "Tab Headers position" drop down box as well.
The quickest and easiest way (for me) of placing these icons on my deivce is through active sync. Now go into your "Program Files/Ultimate Launch\Icons" folder in your device. This is where you place the icons.
(1) go into your UL settings on your phone, (for example) in the "Tab" folder,
(2) Highlight the first item and hit "change" which is the 3rd button on the right,
(3) Go to "tab" again, and you'll see XP-Icon button. Hit that and it'll browse your device/storage card. Look for where icon you placed it, which was in Program Files\Ultimate Launch\Icons folder. There you will find the icons.
Also remember, you can assign two images to one (.exe) an application, "Normal" and "Pushed'. This is a cool feature many other launchers don't have.
If anyone comes across anything significant I missed and should mention, please don't hesitate to tell me, and I'll update the tutorial.

Maybe you could post them as png so long and some creative members can convert what they like to ico format, and share what they convert? This way, the burden is not all on you...

Good Idea
Below is the app I use to create/edit icons. Basically using this is fairly simple. If I can do it, you or anyone can too, lol.
I'm still learning how to use the application because the original picture size varies. Also, I included some ready-made icons as well (some of which are pictured above). Hopefully, this will spark many to create unusual and interesting new icons
Ya Boi D, I'm not sure if you're looking for something like this. You can see it on my today screen, and it's included in the random icon file. I'll keep searching. You know have the tools to create some yourself and share.

Nice..but if you say this skin is created for QVGA users it would be better if you use HTC Touch which is QVGA device..since Diamond is VGA

I added it to my main post. I simply found a high res render of the diamond from google images. Then I edited it to my liking. Enjoy!

Looks were my main thing I was going for, these were just skins for my personal phone and I decided to share them. I usually try to make one everyday I am off from work (which is very few days if that). I prefer minimalism over functionality, but I am working on tabbed versions that have app, weather, and calender pages. I look at my phone hundreds of times a day and I wanted something that was nice on the eyes.

Open skin.xml in notepad and edit the Y position of the clock. You would have to use another background otherwise you would have an empty black bar through the screen.
Winterface 2.0 is out. My skin Googleface is available for download from VITO's website, along with several other skins. Unfortunately, VITO went with my first version I sent them and ignored the second.
So here it is:

Installation:
Run the cab file from your device and install where Winterface is loaded on your phone. Go to options, skins, ouila!

Hi there - I'd really like to have a go at customising my own Winterface now that I've upgraded to 2.02.
How do you package the files (particularly the icons)? I can't find any information anywhere and VITO seem intent on keeping it a big secret.
Skinning it actually very simple, but good lord, it would be complicated to explain.
Basically, take a bmp like the one in the screenshot. When you save, and this is VITAL, it needs to be saved as 16-bit, R5 G6 B5.
Now, the EASIEST thing to do is to simply replace over a same named file on your phone, i.e., build your icon set on the icons.bmp and replace it with your new set.
If you want it as a separate theme, you're going to need a hex editor to edit the skin file and a cab builder if you wish to share it.
Any other questions, feel free to ask.

No. Actually, I just copied the URL link to whoever did the original on DeviantArt. The version on my phone is exactly the version you see here.
Just installed the latest version of Winterface and using the googleface skin
just about to try your heroface skin.
When i add applications they obvoiusly show with their default icon, is it possible to edit the icon and replace with something that matches the skin set?
Can I use the cab files/skins for Winterface 2.0 to install them in Winterface 1.3? I mean, WF 1.3 is able to cope with different skins. Should I somehow extract the files from the cab and then copy to bin? I tried, but even when just renaming the files to e.g. lynx.skin, lynx.bmp and lynx_icons.bmp doesn't work. I know this should be possible somehow, but I don't know much about cab files, etc.

Well until now i don't know if there is any other mobile shell except winterface for wm2003se, but it is great and has that iPhone spirit in it, so I've tied to make it much cooler and more like iPhone so here is the icon set which will make your sms camera contacts file explore running menu calc pictures phone email iexplore wmp notes find and the calender
(well the cal is up side down and red&black not white)

i tied as you said a hex editor but i did not know anything :S i was shocked i dont really know what is the heck is hex thing (except that one in the windows registry) could you explain to me how to add a background for my little icon set plz!!!!!!!!! plz!!!!!!!

This is a thread for variations of the excellent work of Bluemetalaxe's iReflect icons. awesome, keep them coming. great mod idea. any ideas of a mod so they can be distinguished as folders. example i have a gps folder that i then have google maps and sprint nav etc in. i would defionitely appreciate a mod like this as well

It is already in the zip, the yellow ones are the folders Bluemetalaxe already created these and you will find a GPS one as well. Glad you like them I will work towards completion as soon as possible........
Its Been SOOOooo Long since i saw an icon set i actually liked. These are BOSS icons dude. Thanks MUCH. These will be in my ROM as soon as You've ported the set!!! Putting what I need off the first 120 in my kitchen now.

Glad you like them, Blue's icons are a great set to work with I will do my best to finish them all as soon as possible.

Thanks Blue I am glad you like them, I hope to continue the interest in your sweet icons that I have been using for a long time. Hopefully if the users like the "Cubed" iReflect icons they will consider buying you a beer! You deserve any donations you get and thanks again.

Glad you like them! Thanks for the screen shots and yes I will be finishing up the entire set by Sunday night then I will need users to let me know which ones I missed and/or need to be made. I like how you rotated them I am going to be making a set exactly like that when I finish this one. I realize that there are issues with this first set for "iPhone Today" users like yourself because of the overlaying text like for the battery meter and such. I will try to finish as soon as I can, thanks for the comment.................
note: I will make a few blank ones for you so you can use them for the text on your meters and such......

Could you pack your icons inside a dll? I would like to use them with SK Shortcut Manager and that needs dll files to take the icons from. I tried using Icon Changer but it does not work on my device.
Really very neat icons and i am thinking of changing the icons of all shortcuts so i could use them in SPB Mobile Shell.

I am sorry but I have no experience with "dll" maybe a kind soul here on XDA can hook you up with this? I am glad you like them and I used custom icons in SPB Mobile Shell and really liked it but I missed some of the features of sense....I will look into the "dll" method when I get a chance so I can be of more help in the future........

Thanks i did that, downloaded gconvert and created a dll from your actual icons. I hope to be able to convert all your icons before the trial expires...lol.

Do you know what size i have to give to the ico images, so that they display correctly in the shortcuts? If i leave them just converted from the png's the ico's are way too big.

I have the GTX theme installed on my Touch HD. I have had trouble finding a set of icons that go well with the GTX theme so decided to have a go myself. Although GTX inspired they appear to go well with other themes too.

Instructions
The above link will provide you with a zip file which will need to be uncompressed. Inside are the individual images in PNG format.
Use a program such as Icon changer [Get Icon Changer Here] or hcomber [Get hComber Here] to change the lndividual icons.
If you are having trouble with your icons showing up either on your Home Screen or elsewhere try the below:
Method 1.
Use the Windows Mobile File Explorer, or similar, and navigate to:
My Device > Application Data > HTC > ProgLauncher
Now delete the contents of the folder and soft reset your phone.
From what I can make out these files are like a cache of the icon images.
Method 2.
A quicker way is to plug your phone into to your PC using USB, wait for it to be recognised then in Windows, not on the phone, navigate to the above directory and delete the contents. Soft reset.
Eventually I hope that some one will be able to also help with a cab file but for now its as above.

I agree with you, finding a consistent set of icons is hard, but this set looks good.

as far as a cab goes, that is one route, the other is to let users change the icons with IconChanger
OH WOW!!! This is exactly what I've been looking for. This would even go well without GTX. I really like the look of this...
As for the installing mentioned, I'd let people choose between .CAB or using IconChanger if they only want a few (I've only wanted a few in some cases).

I can get the basic icons out in the next couple of days hopefully.

Thanks man, these are awesome!!! One that I noticed that's not there is Windows Media Player I'll go through and see what I have installed and add them as I find them if any
