This is a thread for variations of the excellent work of Bluemetalaxe's iReflect icons. Right now there is three variations, each will have at least 500 plus icons so you can use them for just about all of your programs and applications. awesome, keep them coming. great mod idea. any ideas of a mod so they can be distinguished as folders. example i have a gps folder that i then have google maps and sprint nav etc in. i would defionitely appreciate a mod like this as well

It is already in the zip, the yellow ones are the folders Bluemetalaxe already created these and you will find a GPS one as well. Glad you like them I will work towards completion as soon as possible........

Glad you like them! Thanks for the screen shots and yes I will be finishing up the entire set by Sunday night then I will need users to let me know which ones I missed and/or need to be made. I like how you rotated them I am going to be making a set exactly like that when I finish this one. I realize that there are issues with this first set for "iPhone Today" users like yourself because of the overlaying text like for the battery meter and such. I will try to finish as soon as I can, thanks for the comment.................
note: I will make a few blank ones for you so you can use them for the text on your meters and such......

Could you pack your icons inside a dll? I would like to use them with SK Shortcut Manager and that needs dll files to take the icons from. I tried using Icon Changer but it does not work on my device.
Really very neat icons and i am thinking of changing the icons of all shortcuts so i could use them in SPB Mobile Shell.

I am sorry but I have no experience with "dll" maybe a kind soul here on XDA can hook you up with this? I am glad you like them and I used custom icons in SPB Mobile Shell and really liked it but I missed some of the features of sense....I will look into the "dll" method when I get a chance so I can be of more help in the future........

Thanks i did that, downloaded gconvert and created a dll from your actual icons. I hope to be able to convert all your icons before the trial expires...lol.

Do you know what size i have to give to the ico images, so that they display correctly in the shortcuts? If i leave them just converted from the png's the ico's are way too big.

What is a theme?
In Task Facade, a theme is a directory that contains the theme.xml configuration file and all the files referred in it.
The name of the directory is the name of a theme.
All TaskFacade themes are located in the directory, described in settings.xml file, "ThemesFolder" element.
The drawing sequence
This is how TaskFacade draws its surface:
1. Draw background (either a Wallpaper or SolidFill);
2. Draw each slot in memory:
-- Create a copy of a snapshot in memory;
-- Draw a Frame (Titled or Untitled, Selected or Usual) over it (using either alpha-blending or InnerTransparency color for transparency);
-- If necessary, draw a special Frame (CloseProcess or ProcessDead) over it (using either alpha-blending or InnerTransparency color for transparency);
-- If necessary, draw a title;
3. Copy the resulting slot's image to the background, using OuterTransparency color.

Themes work everywhere. The only requirement is the latest TaskFacade 4.0 Alpha2.
All images in TaskFacade 4.x are scalable, so you need only 2 (portrait and landscape) to look nice in any resolution.

glad to see you here.
the only thing we all should consider: in most cases the user sees only the lower-right corner. sometimes the borderspace (top&bottomlines or left&rightlines depending on slots alignment in user's settings). the rest is only gapspace.
so don't rely too much on the middle of the wallpaper.

i wonder if you or other guys over here could fulfill a kind of a "request":
we definetely should have "Manilla" and "MacOS" themes in TaskFacade, and i know there are real profis in this area on the forum.
so guys, please show up!
Here is a WVGA skin that looks ok with manilla.
This is supposed to be used without titles and full screen.
I didn't bother changing the titled images from the original skin...
In fact, this is very lazy... all black background and a 1pixel frame (white/green depending on status).
I also corrected all the sizes, so that the stopped/killed program signs are round and not stretched.
I am dumping it here, perhaps someone else likes simplistic skins.

i skinned:
every icon/frame in the theme!
the screenshot shows a black background, but if you enable the wallpaper, i also skinned that!
put the theme into a cab, which also replaces your settings file to enable only the titlebar, disable menubar, fix some other little things
if you dont want to install via cab, simply move the folder in the zip to your taskfacade\themes folder on device! (i included both cab and folder)
i really like what i came up with, so hopefully you all do too!

could you please update your skin a bit.
it's about sizes.
the principle is: maximal size of a wallpaper is screensize (e.g., 480x640 for vga).
however, for frames the maximal size is only quarter-screensize (240x320 for vga). it is because we never show 1 frame.
it will save good amount of memory for users of your skin.

this is a mock up, because i didnt have time to take screenshots, but it looks like this (the only difference is that the titles go all the way across the snapshot instead of being bubbles) with support for landscape as well:
the top is the "gloss with title" and the bottom is the "gloss title below"
"gloss bottom title" has the title on the bottom of the snapshot just like the original gloss
"gloss bottom title" and "gloss with title" have small icons on the top right like above preview (first level) for dead and close icons
"gloss title below" has large close and dead icons like the preview above (second level)
also, if you want to use a solid background, it looks quite nice with 10,10,10 as the background color (offblack)

The analog clock comes in the middle'ish of the digi clock when installed via M2DC i have it off
sick.......most def going to try this out....i'll give you the feedback once installed on my device.....

Only thing thats stopping me from flasing this theme RIGHT THIS MINUTE is...the icons. if i could get this theme with the icons from the kehroh glass v2 theme (in the dev & hacking forum, m2d skins thread, post #120 has a screenshot of the icons i'm talking about) this would be the illest theme on the street! i dunno if theres a way to do those icons like that but damn it would be tight! I like it, with one suggestion: lower the image on the dialer so that it lines up with the background and s2u2 images.
I realize that this will cut off the bottom of it for the answer slider, but it will correspond better to the rest of the theme.

Thankyou for idea, but if i cut that down you wouln't see hardly any of the image & the consistency is from unlock to homescreen i.m.o.
If someone requests the image would be happy to edit.

The battery and signal icons in the ROM i use in sig, the slide to answer is part of Opal Canvas "in most custom ROMs"
If your using a custom you could try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3281609&postcount=5044 it's the PDA_Corner_Battery_Icon_Original.cab that'd you use if want non % if want % it's the other.

How-To
I recommend using one of several icon changing apps available at XDA. The one I currently use is JWMD's Icon Changer, and have used and liked Showaco's reSTART too.
CREDITS
The base folder icon came from the HydroPRO Icon Pack, which is floating around all over the net. Here's a link from my site if you just want to d/l it and not do all the searching. I got it from Vista Icons and it was written by mediaDesign at DeviantArt
Many of the other images I put on top of the folders are from the Alpha Dista Icon Pack, also floating around all over the net. Here's a quick link for that too. I got this from Vista Icons as well. It was written by Danial Flaco at Deviant Art.
The rest of the images were taken from various logos on the web, images I've come across, and stock WM 6.5 / ATT Tilt 2 icons.
Obviously, I make no claim to the original artwork and do not request any kind of credit (I only super-imposed the images I liked, after all) and I place no limits on what you do with this set. Feel free to use, distribute, alter, etc. etc. I'd suggest that if you are looking to sell any of it that you contact the artists listed above first

Hi wokwitme
In WM6.5 use reSTART by Showaco to reassign icons to folders. In this case image files must be placed in:
\Program Files\reSTART\icons\
In WM6.1 you need to convert icons into .ico files and then into a .dll library. once in a .dll library you place a link in the folder you wish to assign an icon to called icon.lnk. The shortcut of the icon.lnk file must point to the .dll library and the index number of the icon you want to be displayed.
There are better WM6.1 tutorials on the forum.

I'm not sure if this was directed at me or what you're asking for here... The icons just go in a folder on the device of your choosing. I use "\My Documents\My Icons" for convenience.
To apply the icons for you would be very tough, a lot of people have their own layouts and organizations to folder structure. Unless you have the exact layout I have, automatically applying them wont work.

I have the GTX theme installed on my Touch HD. I have had trouble finding a set of icons that go well with the GTX theme so decided to have a go myself. Although GTX inspired they appear to go well with other themes too.

Update 25/05/10. 20 more additional icons added. They appear at the bottom of the preview.

Instructions
The above link will provide you with a zip file which will need to be uncompressed. Inside are the individual images in PNG format.
Use a program such as Icon changer [Get Icon Changer Here] or hcomber [Get hComber Here] to change the lndividual icons.
If you are having trouble with your icons showing up either on your Home Screen or elsewhere try the below:
Method 1.
Use the Windows Mobile File Explorer, or similar, and navigate to:
My Device > Application Data > HTC > ProgLauncher
Now delete the contents of the folder and soft reset your phone.
From what I can make out these files are like a cache of the icon images.
Method 2.
A quicker way is to plug your phone into to your PC using USB, wait for it to be recognised then in Windows, not on the phone, navigate to the above directory and delete the contents. Soft reset.
Eventually I hope that some one will be able to also help with a cab file but for now its as above.

I agree with you, finding a consistent set of icons is hard, but this set looks good.

as far as a cab goes, that is one route, the other is to let users change the icons with IconChanger
OH WOW!!! This is exactly what I've been looking for. This would even go well without GTX. I really like the look of this...
As for the installing mentioned, I'd let people choose between .CAB or using IconChanger if they only want a few (I've only wanted a few in some cases).

I can get the basic icons out in the next couple of days hopefully.

I wanted to have REALLY minimalistic icons to match the GTX-style and I though, why not just make the icons to be text on a background?

At the moment, there are 472 finished icons (more than I expected! lol), I just went through quite a few pages in Omarket to get as many programs as possible in the icon set.
I made this set, because I wanted the icons background colour to match the colour of the clock/weather background. (See attachment)
The set includes icons for all stock programs, folder icons and hundreds of other program icons!
The text is perfectly aligned, I double-checked every icon
I hope I got no typo in this...

All icons are 128x128 pixels in size.
If you miss some icons in this set, please provide me a list with the missing ones, I'll finish these as fast as possible for you!

I appreciate the effort and sharing. It is a bit too minimalistic and obviously centered on the English language.
I came to this thread hoping to find a set of icons that match in style and format to what CHT & CHT editor provided for things like Toggle Switch, Notification Icon and Miscelaneous.

These icons are not in the list of the icon changer, do I have to use another program like jwmd icon changer or did I something wrong ?

Hey Müllabfuhr!
Solitaire should already be in the package, maybe you just didn't see it.
In JWMD, there are normal icons and folder icons, which you can change.
If you just tap briefly on a folder icon, you can see the shortcuts that are IN that specific folder and then you can change them.
Typical folder names are GPS, Office Mobile, Tools, Settings, Connections, ...
If you just look in my icon package, you can see that there is a folder called "Folder Icons", there you can see how the folders are called in JWMD. Just look out for these in JWMD and tap them shortly, to access the folder.

I'll attach your missing icons in a few minutes!
