Has anyone managed to get Google Earth Running on their Eclair build? I found it in the market yesterday and was instantly excited, but I cant get it to work after installation, its like it doesn't even launch. Anyone else have success?
I just went through the process of getting all the apps to show up witch only took like 20 mins and i still dont see google earth in the market. what am i doing wrong?

Porting it to donut? It doesn't even appear launch on Eclair on the vogue. I have opengl at boot enabled with everything setup for it.
i just read that it is 5.65mb apk and 23mb installed.
Thats big.
A little update, I have taken apart the APK and looked through the settings file. I tried to change the rendering options to see if that would get it going but so far I have had limited success. I'm going to try and figure out if their are other rendering parameters it'll take in the driver.ini file.

Anyone else experiencing problems with Aldiko (Premium) after upgrade to 1.1?
Aldiko works, but without a SD-card inserted/mounted which is kind of useless. If an SD is inserted it just FCs on startup or dies when an SD is inserted if already running.
I've tried with multiple SD-cards, my "regular" data filled one and a completely clean/empty one.

I had a premium version, and the fonts were not downloadable, so I switched to FBreader on 1.0.1. When I updated do 1.1.0, I tried installing aldiko free and aldiko premium, and both failed during start...
Good to know I'm not alone.
Aldiko Not Working...
When I updated from 1.0.1 to 1.1 I didn't have to reinstall Aldiko and it was running fine. However, Amazon Marketplace said there was an update for Aldiko I did the update and since than it fails on bootup. I don't really think there was an update I tried uninstalling and reinstalling aldiko and it still fails. I hope someone can figure it out. I like Aldiko better than FBreader and Moon+.
I also have the same issue.
I had backup aldiko version 2.0 at one point, i installed it and it started working again. SD and all. If you don't have a backup of it maybe someones posted on the net somewhere.

Wonder if we should inform them that what ever they changed from version 2.0 broke NST support.

A question, I used eded's automatic method to do the rooting. How can I install custom apk? I like to install that aldiko app. Thanks.
Hmm... copy the .apk to your nook and then in any file explorer, just tap on it. But before that, if you haven't done it yet, don't forget to untap and tap again the possibility to install custom apps on Settings.
Aldiko (not)working on Nook Touch
Late to the party, I just got Aldiko working from market install yesterday, but today it wouldn't work. Strange - "all's I did" was install some other apps....
Anyhow thanks sharing your experience, which I found by googling for the symptoms.
I replaced the market-installed version with aldiko-standard-2.00.081.apk (via a copy on my Google drive)
and it's working.

How to flash:
Reboot into recovery

I am noob to android. I recently started porting MIUI.us v4 2.7.13 to our device. (Spice MI410). I got boot animation successfully but, the phone enters to bootloop after that. I have followed the method suggested by CK and proxuser. And the logcat shows the below error.

I had some issues in porting MIUI.us 2.7.13(I will post my issues later). SO I tried MIUI RD 2.5.25 and successfully booted in to lockscreen. But now the problem is I got an error message in the lockscreen which says com.android.phone process has stopped and even if I hit ok, it is not closing(Loop).
Can anyone help me with that?

I also booted the MIUI.us 2.7.13 in to lockscreen(Fixed the Powermanager issues). But still this one is also having the same issues as my MIUI-RD. Soon I will post my logcat. Please help me with this.

You need to patch PhoneFactory.smali to construct your class instead of RIL:
find "RIL" word (there will be 2 entries) and replace them to "LGEQualcommRIL".
Make sure you've copied and replaced all RIL*.smali and copy LGEQualcommRIL*.smali at
/smali/com/android/internal/telephony ín framework.jar. Also copy QualcommSharedRIL.smali from that CM9 base. And also LGEQualcommUiccRIL.smali if exist (different CM9 base might be not exist).

You need to patch PhoneFactory.smali to construct your class instead of RIL:
find "RIL" word (there will be 2 entries) and replace them to "LGEQualcommRIL".
Yes, I did patched the PhoneFactory.smali to replace RIL with LGEQualcommRIL
Make sure you've copied and replaced all RIL*.smali and copy LGEQualcommRIL*.smali at
/smali/com/android/internal/telephony ín framework.jar. Also copy QualcommSharedRIL.smali from that CM9 base. And also LGEQualcommUiccRIL.smali if exist (different CM9 base might be not exist).

I did that too. If I copy QualcommSharedRIL.smali, then I am getting some error. I am having a logcat for that. Soon I will upload that too.

Finally by all your help, I made it. Successfully ported RD MIUI 2.5.25(by dekky) to our device. This is the first ROM I am porting. So I am testing the basic functions now. Soon I will upload this ROM and create a new Thread.(The issue is that I havent made 10 post yet. After 10 only I can Create threads in the development section).
Thanks to all forum guys. Special thanks to CK, aRDX and azranashraf for helping me out.

yep, I've essentially used the same config as the tf700t:

I'm seeing the same kinds of things on my tablet port I am attempting. Did you make any progress?
I think it is an issue with HWcomposer. I tracked the segfault into the HW composer library which was actually not being rebuilt, it was trying to use the original from the Android install. I have moved some of the source from the Android HW composer into the UT built and been working on it but its a real pain getting them to build together.
