Tell me about the OEM slip case/ pouch for the HD2 (Or recommend another like it) - HD2 Accessories

Looks like the Tmo USA version will not be coming with the faux leather pouch/slip case. This is the way I prefer to tote my TP2 and was looking for something similar for when I get my HD2 here in the US in a few weeks. How much bulk does the OEM case add to the phone? Looks like the material is maybe 1-1.5mm thick? Is it fairly rigid or is it more of a soft material? I basically want something as thin as possible. I use my case mainly to keep lint and dust out of it while it's in my pocket. I currently use one of the SENA ultra thin cases for my TP2, but it looks like they don't make one for the HD2.

I probably would have been happy with the OEM one but since I am having to buy one I am contemplating something different like this one, but I'm not sure if I want the leather to rub directly against the phone. I would prefer something with a soft velvet lined interior.

i have been using the oem case since getting my hd2 about 3 weeks ago. was a bit sceptical at first, but now i love it. it has the velvet liner in it and doesnt add anything to the phone at all (it is still heaps thinner than my old htc touch pro) highly recommend it.

I don't like the stock case at all, you can't use the device one handed (you need to take the phone out) and put the case somewhere else then find it back etc, which is not convenient for me. It is also really soft and doesn't protect the upper edge of the device. Only good thing about it for me is that it is really thin and makes the phone look beautiful. I would advise Noreve or Piel Frama Case if the price is OK with you.

I'm not sure about the HD2's sold in your region, but the stock case that came with my HD2 is real leather with a very soft lining (which eventually cleans the screen).

I too use the stock HD2 OEM case. It does the job OK but my criticism is that the seam stitching is outside of the case - not as slim-line as I'd like. Also the leather (if it is leather!) is not of high quality on the OEM one. The Lambskin one in the link above also has the outside seam.
I also prefer SENA cases (I had one for my iPhone and it was quality), but as you say, there isn't one for the HD2 yet. I emailed SENA and asked if they had plans to make one, but they didn't bother to reply.
As far as I can see the OEM slip/pouch case is the best I found so far.

Silicone cover?

Does anyone know where to purchase one for the Legend, or if they're going to be available/produced soon?
think there should have one already or soon to come out with one. Just what a waste to put a silicon case on an beauty like the legend. guess we want to protect our gadgets too
Just bought here:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/White-Silicon..._MobilePhonesCasesPouches&hash=item27b15ced09
wow that's eh, not pretty
I've ordered THIS http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...Category=20336&_trkparms=algo=LVI&its=I&otn=2
Hopefully, it will look like the picture, ie. cleaner arround the edges. If not, it's useful until something better comes along.
i got this http://cgi.ebay.it/HTC-LEGEND-FITTED-HYDRO-GEL-CASE-CLEAR-UK-SELLER-100-/360261490790?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_MobilePhones_MobilePhonesCasesPouches&hash=item53e1421866 it's hard silicon and therefore easier to take out my pockets, just perfect in my opinion
search for Amzer covers if you like color.
Can't put link here cause i'm new.
CAPDASE makes a nice gel skin called Soft Jacket 2 Xpose that is worth paying a bit extra for IMHO. I had one for my HTC Hero and it was the nicest gel skin I've ever used. Easy to slide in and out of my pocket without the it gripping to my pocket too.
Comes in white or black and includes a screen protector!

I found them on ebay from an hong kong seller called decoholic.
Have a look!
Hi folks!
Can't post links as this is my first post, but just search for "HTC Legend flexishield" on ebay
I have been really happy with it thus far. There are some great reviews if you Google the above phrase and look at the listing on the mobilefun co uk site. There are some better photos there too.
I was on cheap silicone cover till yesteday the today I moved to flexyshield.
Works really great and fits the phone perfectly
One of the best aspects of the Legend is its sleek aluminium body/chassis.... there is no way I could cover it all up with a case!!
Yeah it's nice but that aluminum on the back sure taps like it's plastic. I kinda wish the entire back was that soft black rubber coating. But then it would not slide in/out pockets very easily...hmmm

(Full Body Shield) vs (Screen Protector + Case)

I'm anticipating my next phone, the incredible, and I want to make sure I get my protective gear first.
So i don't end up with another broken phone (bye G1)
I am considering getting the Zagg full-body shield because I have a 50% off code.
Although I don't see a thin strip of plastic being very impact-resistant.
Pros: no added bulk, phone will look good, and no worries about the antenna strength being interfered with.
Also will fit nicer in the hand..
Cons: Might not work with an extended battery door. Could potentially feel worse in hand
Next option is to get a zagg/steinheil screen protector (or whatever is the best, since it's very difficult to decide)
Along with a case such as the Body Glove, or maybe a silicon case.
Pros: pretty much impact proof, maybe you prefer the bulk because it makes the phone fit in your hand better, also maybe the case just looks good
Cons: other than the obvious, it also may not fit into docks without removing the case first. Also, when I get an extended battery the case may no longer fit..
Possible cases below..
Body Glove (belt clip is removable and smooth cutout can be put to make the back smooth)
Also it gets rid of the unique back, if its not your style.

Amzer® Limited Edition Elite Leather Snap On Hard Case
Amzer® High Gloss TPU Skin Case
Amzer® Silicone Skin Jelly Case
Amzer® Rubberized Black Snap on Crystal Hard Case
There are plenty of other nice ones, I also liked this.

Please recommend a route, i'm all ears to any ideas.
As you said, do you want impact resistance? You laid everything out nicely for yourself, now decide what is right for you.
Right now, I'm using the VZW high gloss silicone case and a Steinheil Crystal Clear screen protector. Very happy with both. Have had the case since day 1 and tried several other SPs before I settled on the Steinheil.
Am considering the Seidio Combo case, but will probably stick with the Steinheil for now (I have one left!)
Good luck!
JC
I'm using a full body shield from BSE AND the black high gloss silicone case from VZW.
I like the BSE / ZAGG type screen protectors because they tend to self repair themselves if you scratch them. BSE all the way tho, I refuse to spend 20+ dollars on a skin.

Amzer silicone case for nexus 7?

Has anyone bought/used these before, and do they work? I have an s-line tpu case and wondered if its worth it to upgrade to this. -Ara
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Amzer is a pretty decent company to buy from, and the skins are somewhat inexpensive. They sent me a few demo items to see if our stores were interested in carrying their Nexus 7 products... The overall fit was pretty snug, the skin seems fairly well made minus the edges which needed a little cleaning up. I didn't have any issues with the skin obstructing any features of the device, and it was easy to slip on and off. Here's a few pictures, hope they help with the decision making:

So just a little more feedback on this silicone skin... I dropped my Nexus 7 while getting out of my Jeep this morning (hands full and in a hurry to get to the office), and the blasted thing landed face down on concrete. If not for this skin I would instead be spending my evening searching for a replacement screen. It's by no means an otterbox, but the fact that it covers around the screen saved it.
Definitely give it two thumbs up!
Amzer silicone case
I got the black one bought at Expansys.com. It feels great, very thick rubber with a leather-like texture, reinforced with the x-shaped, thicker rubber piece in the middle that serves as an outer skeleton and adds extra rigidity. The case wraps around of all of the device without obstructing any holes/ports similarly to an otterbox impact cases. The edges serve the protective purpose. There is nothing wrong with them. They are spaced out more like the protruding edges of balistic cases. I feel confident that if my Nexus falls it will bounce off without any damage due to the case design. I store my Nexus when not in use in the bag inside a Case Logic Eva zippered case for additional screen protection.
We just reviewed one here at the office and the case does a pretty decent job. Not expensive either, so, I'd say worth the purchase.

This needs a bump, I ordered one from amazon.. and it was crap to say the least. I contacted Amzer and even though i ordered from a third party seller they offered to replace it for me for FREE! gotta love customer service! Other than that its a great case. :good:
Nice case!
I have the black one ordered from amazon as well.. It came in very quick . I agree this will protect the device from most bumps and bangs. this is the 3rd case i bought .
I am going to sell all 3 on ebay for a good price if i decide against buying another nexus 7.. not made my mind up. sent two back not sure i wanna deal with the hassles of google device support to order another..
anyway GREAT CASE for the money..

I got it with a code with amazon prime , so it came pretty quite as we always can have from amazon .
This is a decent alternative to some of the Otterbox cases. It reminds me a lot of the Defender series but cost only 9 dollars , even it is not exactly works as better as otter box
The outer shell is a nice shock resistant material. You shouldn't have to worry if you drop your phone if it's wrapped in this. The inner silicone is a little bit soft , which will absorb the impact , but it might be not as snag as you want ,all in all it is acceptable totally .
The buttons work really well when you have it in this case. They line up nicely and work with little effort.
The port cover is okay. It's nothing great. It's not a tight fit like the otter box it. Overall, it's better than nothing.
I'd be happier using a case with a screen protector
For the money. This is a great little cast that will protect your phone.
A good solid phone case, a few minor issues keep it from being a great phone case. Case did require a minor modification to allow the gesture and double tap wake up/screen unlock to work properly on the m8. There was a little piece of the cases screen protector that covered the light sensor, once cut off from the inside of the case with an exacto knife the gesture function worked flawlessly.
Pros
Much easier to hold onto than the slick finish of the m8
Makes it easier to press the side and top buttons
Case has a rugged feel to it
Looks awesome on the phone
Belt Clip is so handy
Cons
Does add a little bulk to the phone, mostly to the thickness
Very slightly alters the sound of the phones speakers, not very noticeable, but I am an audiophile
.
Overall I would recommend this case to a friend.
I am not associated with any company , my reviews are based on my personal experiences
For this case , i got it from amazon ,at http://www.amazon.com/Ashiled-All-N...TF8&qid=1420378820&sr=1-1&keywords=ashield+M8

[Review] Purfit Design Real Leather Wallet Case for Galaxy Note 8

The owner of purfit design, Emma Leuang, contacted for a review for their wallet case for Galaxy Note 8.
To be honest, i never thought it could this great before i receive it.
The wallet is made of genuine leather (cowhide), Unlike the regular leather, this leather is top grain, a little bit shinny than regular, but the leather smells so good.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced genuine leather wallet case , you might want to check out the this flip wallett. Crafted from what is described as Italianleather, this is undoubtedly a nicely made leather wallet case. It has two card slots and one clear identity card window, as well as a slide pocket for extra cards or cash, and it has a stand function as well. The money slot is a a little bit narrow, so it will secure your card without falling out.
The side magnetic closure works great, it has 2 part magnetic, will give your case a decent close without affect the S-Pen. ( I have tried several cases, the magnetic does make your S-Pen crazy)
Insertion and removal of yourphone is easy, due to the flexible TPU phone compartment. Like nearly all wallet cases of this type, it gets obese quite quickly when very many cards are put into its card slots and doesn’t close all that well, but as long as only a few cards are used, it still closes acceptably.
Overall, this is a nice option for a lower priced leather wallet case. It is currently available for $31 on Amazon and comes in both black and cognac. Many thanks to Emma and her child for sending this sample out to me to review.
BTW, she gives a portion of profit to American Cancer Society,

update, the glass screen protector works on it
wireless charging works too
That's a nice looking case. I've considered getting one like that, to keep something covering my phone when it's in my pocket. I need something to protect the screen and I've learned over the years that I completely suck at putting on screen protectors. I don't even try anymore. So one question I have is, do you think that there's any possibility that the cover could scratch the glass? Ideally I'd like something with a felt interior as I feel that would truly minimize the chances of scratching. I just don't seem to be able to find a decent case that has it.

I was looking at a leather case like this and then I remember the corner drop problem. no protection. I would love a leather case like this if I could take the Note 8 with UAG Monarch installed and then take the Note 8 with the Monarch and put it in a leather case. Best of both worlds.

Not very good advice for someone who admittedly is bad at putting on screen protectors. The Whitestone installation is ridiculously complicated to do right the first time and for 50 bucks they should throw 2 pieces of glass in there. It's the biggest huckle going that people are promoting the Whitestone protectors. They also have horrible CS should you need them.
