Hi Oli - thanks for pointing your skills at us Cheetah owners. Pof and I exchanged quite a bit of dialogue on this not too long ago, but he's been super busy focusing on Hermes work.
I'll volunteer - would you have some time on Friday evening? You're in the U.K. yes? If you shoot me a PM we can find a time that works well for both of us. Alternatively I can give whatever code and process you have a go and send you the results.
I've already got a cooked ROM set aside for testing once the whole signing thing is knocked out. =)

Sorry Oli - was offline until today due to squirrels. You know, the little brown critters that eat nuts and nibble on coax... That was my ISPs excuse anyway.
I sent you a PM with my MSN ID. I'm set up with terminal access into the bootloader and whatnot, and have a cooked ROM which I *think* I've built with the proper parts in all the correct places.

OK Guys; major breakthrough... even though the person who kindly was helping went offline.
if anyone would like to get in touch, having a Hard-SPL up and running on these devices is going to be no sweat.
I'd also like to mention that from there, it'll be plain sailing to SIM Unlocking too.

That pretty much wraps up the only downside about moving from the Vario II to the 750!
Now if only someone can figure out a way to program on on/off button that doesn't keep going back to the Today screen......

I have a Treo 750, which has incorrect code entered 8 times. how long is the timeout wait ?.
any other methods of resetting the phone or unlocking it ?
( I have the correct code from Cingular. someone else entered the incorrect code )

I think what he said is that if you install the patched bootloader (using the unlocker) you will have the ability to flash a Hermes radio, and if you do so, you will be stuck with that radio for the time being. I'm pretty sure that's all he's said..I'll ask him. Yep, that's all he said. To elaborate on that, this wouldn't affect your ability to flash WM6 in any way except that your Hermes radio (should you decide to flash one) will stay put. Olipro warned folks of this fact early on. Most people will find no compelling reason to flash a Hermes radio to their Treo.
Summiter isn't the expert on the mysteries of bootloader assembly..that's Olipro's realm of dark wizardry. And he knows far more than any of the cubicle monkeys answering the support line at Cingular or Palm. He's also saved a lot of people many dollars/loonies/euros/pounds/pence/rupees by creating free unlockers for a multitude of HTC devices. So, uh, like, respect the man and stuff and whatnot. And so forth. And so on.

I have a suggestion for you. Click on Olipro's name, and then choose to search for his posts. Now read them. You will find that he knows these devices far more intimately than most folks at Palm or Cingular, and perhaps even a good portion of HTC. There's a total of perhaps 10 folks who frequent xda-dev who can skillfully dig into and modify the bootloaders and radios - and he's in the top 3. So yeah, he's much more of an expert. Now go read the forums I suggested to you in an earlier post for f*cks sake, or go away.

I have same problem with the above topics, same with my HERME200 X01HT, I already have network unlocking code, but I can not enter the code, because it says.
"You have tried 35 times, please wait until time out" however, I've been waiting for 6days ago but still can not comes out. I still can not enter the code.
What would be the solution for this????

I'm getting this same error- sorry to bump a dead thread.
Using the Magic_Unlocker and Olipro's HardSPL/Unlocker doesn't work, and my phone is telling me that I've tried 100 times, please wait until timeout.
Is there any way to edit the rate it times out in so that I can enter the code?

This thread is not "supported" by xda developers per say. Eqx posted in an effort to avoid the problems tupisdin's thread had in the Blackstone forum. Although, if he were a scammer, this post would be history by now.

CID unlocking nowadays (since the hermes/trinity days anyhow) means you have Hard SPL to flash custom ROMs (I suppose it could also mean using a Goldcard to change language). (See FAQ #3 for my explanations)
So no, you won't have this until OliNex release one.

Rhodium HardSPL - News and Updates

First I'd like to mention that I am grateful for all the developers on XDA working on these phones. I'm no programmer but I know plenty who are in all fields so I can appreciate what you are all doing.
I just wanted to create this thread to see how close we are to getting our hands on the HardSPL for Rhodium and any updates on development.
I've had my Touch Pro 2 for about a week and half now and already bored with it. The phone itself is great, but Windows Mobile 6.1 seriously sucks.
I really want to start using Windows Mobile 6.5, which brings me to why I created this post.
If anyone can shed some light on this I'd appreciate it.

hmm this thread will be good for the usual "hardspl waititing posts".. when release comes, we (olinex) will just create the real hspl thread, so mods will not have to clean up for release (like for topaz they had to).
as to why this flash type checking is so important: on topaz the hynix ones really just got lucky by not getting their mfg partition corrupt. (no one got it corrupt but as i said that was luck) i want to avoid any such problems on rhodium.

Does this mean there is a feasible solution for Samsung based units ?
I am surprised that it makes a difference based on the fact HTC wont have made a separate spl for hynix based units. and rom upgrades will contain the same info...
can hard spl for samsungs be realeased with a link to the tutorial on how to ensure you have samsung?
darides tutorial suggests most people seem to have samsung anyway.
infact has ther been a hynix unit seen in the wild?

Perhaps Olinex can make a version for samsung that checks on the sspl that the memory is samsung or not. to avoid bricks or other problems.
I have not seen or know anyone with hynix memory on their tp2 after checking about 5 different units from my friends and family they are all samsung. My vodafone one is samsung too.

I hate my Vodafone UK branded HTC Touch Pro 2. It is red and so am I with anger. Joking aside I love HTC standard ROM's. The last one I put on my HTC Touch Pro was amazing.

If you want to flash the HTC Shipped ROM, look out for the Goldcard methods. I'm not going into detail here because it's off topic and well documented else where. If all else fails cmonex normally helps via PM.

I can totally understand people begging for this. I nervously waiting for it to, but not to install custom ROMs. I'm waiting for it to get blackberry connect running. To achieve that I need to manipulate the device ID in the ROM itself, to fool RIM, let them think it's running on a proper device. But to flash this manipulated ROM I need HSPL (or does someone know a way to manipulate the device ID (HTC-Rhodium) in another way?).
However, asking and begging does not help or make stuff easier or getting it done faster. We all need to be brave and patient and wait a bit and let olipro and cmonex get this stuff done.

Sorry to go a bit OT here but I am interested in your info about Blackberry Connect. I have just come to the TP2 from a Storm and one thing that is lagging behind with the TP2 IMO is the push email, would the 'updated' ROM you are proposing allow me to use the pushmail service from BB ?

Have you tried to change your AKU?
If NO you can change this:

How to Hardspl my 2nd Touch pro 2

I have recently hardSPLed my t-mobile HTC Touch pro 2 (Rhodium), later on the keyboard on the device broke so I exchanged for another one, now when I try to hardSPL it again, it tells me a msg which says:"Hard-SPL is for non-commercial purpose only, we have detected that you appear to already have unlocked another device, if you wish to unlock commercially, please e-mail...........the radio is turned ON and retry."
I'm not using it to unlock commercially, I just want to unlock my own device. I tried to PM Olipro and Cmonex but got no replies. Can someone please tell me how can I hardspl a 2nd device, thank you!

I too had the same problem.. well it's not a problem. The makers have blocked it so that you can only install it once to cut down on people who take advantage of their hard work. I simply made the 5.00 donation and PM'ed the application owner along with my IMEI # (#*06#) It's well worth it... plus they desire it. Hope this helps.

You don't need to PM them if you're going to go the donation route. Just make sure you use the link provided when the unlocker asks you if you want to donate. Also make sure you're phone is connected when you make the donation. I'm sure Cmonex is quite busy and may take some time to reply.

the last screen is confusing because it makes it -seem- like your stuck, but then you can donate... think of it like you won the donation lottery, like me...

then mine broke
replacement needed another donate...
so you make up for someone that won't....
