I've looked through almost every .apk but I can't seem to find the folder where all the images for the Market.apk is.
Please tell me if you know how to theme Market.apk.

On another note, has anyone been able to get a themed market to stay that way? It seems the market updates itself to stock on its own in 2.1

Make it from source so it's newest version, or if you don't know how to compile, use vending.apk from a recent aosp build. I have a themed version of Market that has stayed that way for more than a month.
Technically you could consider CM-updater as the closest thing possible to summerboard. Just gotta add all the sources yourself However, if metamorph had a theme download plugin it would be VERY similar (no rebooting usually, devs can add their own sources every new release). Anyone wanna make a formal request to Stericson?
Does anyone know of a way to port LP widgets to TouchWiz? I like LP but it has some issues, here and there, that I don't like. However, when I saw how cool the Facebook and other widgets were I decided to buy the full version. I really like to be able to use TouchWiz with these widgets.
Not possible (as of yet?) since it's tied to the launcher.
The widgets are the main selling point for LauncherPro Plus. It may be me, but it seems like Federico wouldn't enjoy knowing about someone modifying his source code to move his widgets to another launcher.

haha how do you figure? Because I by 1 stock in Apple does that mean I can choose their next product? You bought the pro version for more options, or to possibly support the dev to continue working on his product. That does not give you the right to take it apart and use his widgets the way you want.

Looks like there are many features from LP that can be used in TWLauncher, including Activities, Wallpaper, etc. Gonna email dev and talk to him about this - I'm betting he's game. I'll keep yal posted.

Whole reason why you use Launcher Pro isn't just the widgets.
But... with that being said - I bet if you email him he could put an options to disable the launcher and still allow you to use widgets.

Can you check if the stock google Launcher2.apk is included in this firmware? i hate the customized one of LG & all the other launcher like ADW and LauncherPro that don't work well with live wallpapers anyway i hope someone will port the Honeycomb UI or the complete firmware, that interface should work great on a 4'' display

I normally use mediafire but it is limited to 200meg files

I just got back from work so I didn't had much chance to play with the dump yet.
I've got 2 live wallpapers working on my N1 :
Bubbles movement
Christmas SnowCity (also need lib file to be pushed)
There is also quite a few other apps that works out of the box but mainly in Korean language tho. Nothing really interesting yet mostly bloatware...
And yes I did check the clock/weather widget, FC but that was to be expected it may require the framework to work I haven't looked at the issue yet tho...
The boot animation is also nice IMO - I like the dancing android mascot lol
If there is an interest for those live wallpapers I could post them in the apps section - let me know

As Bypass mentioned, I am the lucky owner. If there is anything else I can do to help development, please let me know. I am more than happy to help in anyway I can. That being said, as Bypass can attest to, I am a COMPLETE NOOB in this area, so I will need detailed instructions. Hopefully, with his guidance, I can get the the files that will be necessary for real development to begin from my phone to you guys! Thanks everyone who is participating in this!

On my phone, there are 14 live wallpapers available:
bubbles movement, christmas snowcity, fire work, galaxy, grass, magic smoke, Many, Nexus, Polar Clock, spectrum, vu meter, water, water drop, waveform. NOt sure how many of those have been available before....
Most seem to be the stock android ones, apart from the first 2.
What was getting root to do this like? Hard or not? Seriously considering this phone, but would mean changing operator in a while!
considering it was my first android phone, I would say getting root was not too difficult. Installed the android sdk and LG phone USB drivers. Used super one click to root the phone. Apparently I did something wrong during the process but after messing around w/ some help from Bypass, I got a full root. I imagine with a little refinement, rooting will be quite easy.

Please note, as of May 1st, the following policy will be fully enforced: All MIUI themes and theme components, in mtz file format, will need to be uploaded onto the MIUI themes (upload via designer.xiaomi.com). Any MIUI theme and theme components (i.e. download from forums, websites or other sources) that does not get uploaded into the MIUI theme apk, can no longer be applied onto the MIUI ROM. - Theme
- Lockscreen

Has any work around been found yet?
I remember at some point, can't remember when, maybe when V4 was still a little new, so I had a SGS2 at the time, they just introduced the forced login to their Xiaomi account to apply themes, even free ones.
Well, some modified versions of the theme apk appeared quite quickly to allow to apply them without login in.
So I guess something will be done about that too.
I've owned a couple of smartphones, but there has never been official support for all these devices I've owned. There was a shabby port for i9000 but it sucked and was borked.
Not to mention it comes in only a few languages.
So what is MIUI?
Just goes to shoe what kind of company MIUI is, I hope they continue carrying on what they're doing, then miui users will certainly see what most of saw a long time ago! Selfish thieves.

Don't be jealous. And I never planned on getting the nexus 6. Just so happen that Motorola has no moto x 1st gen to replace my broken one so they sent me this device
I'm not sure why somebody just didn't answer the question. Instead, some childish remarks were made.
I suggest if people don't want to give an answer, then perhaps they need to move along to something else instead of making stupid comments thus resulting in a whining war.

In answer to your question, without a rooted device, your theming options are somewhat limited. You can try installing a third party launcher from the Play Store, like Nova Launcher. At least this way you can have a bit more control on how your Home Screen and Drawer look. If I'm not mistaken, you can install icon packs without being rooted.
You can also install Color Status Bar from the Play Store for a fully customizable notification drawer. That, plus what Moscow Desire said, is about as much as you can do without root.

To answer the question about customization and theming without root.
You have limited options but they are there:
Nova launcher is stock but with tweaks and icon packs can be used.
Themer is also good.
Hey OP.
I suggest installing nova or apex launcher and playing around with the settings. There is some cool stuff you can do with those launchers. ALSO ICON PACKS! Love icon packs. When I had my nexus 4 which I rooted there was an app called Themer by mycolorscreen which I used sometimes. That app can change up your phone. Only problem is I don't know if it works with Nexus 6 due to lollipop or something but you can give it a try.
For my nexus 6 this time I didn't root or anything. I'm enjoying the pure lollipop OS.
As other said not much you can do without root.
I do not know what happened in this thread. A questions was asked and immediately people got on their high horse and spouted childish rubbish.

I think the question has been answered anyway. Without root there aren't any full theming options available. The status bar thing and launchers is about it.
Other 3rd party apps such as keyboards, dialers, messaging apps have built in theme support.
