Random data loss
- I really think this is an HTC/VZW issue as I had it on the stock ROM after applying the newest OTA.
- I will continue to research this.

Random stuff and patches...
------------------------
Hulu & Flash 10
Hulu is working but you need to install a few files first. The files will be pushed to your sdcard when you install the rom.
- Install /sdcard/flash.tether/flash-fixed-nexus.apk
- Install /sdcard/flash.tether/Hulu.apk
- Done
NOTE: The Hulu app has a bug where it doesn't close properly. You will need to kill the app with a task manager or reboot.
------------------------
So I found out that the new Stagefright files cause major audio issues in Hulu.
Here is a patch but know that this will put the old stagefright files back so the streaming audio issues will be back.
~hulu_stagefright_fix.zip
Here is the old streaming audio fix which disable stagefright. This will cause a decrease in performance in the rom.
~old_streaming_audio_fix.zip
------------------------
Wifi Tether working in infrastructure mode!
You will also have to manually install Wireless Tether.
- Make sure /sdcard/android.tether/fw_bcm4329.bin does not exist
- Install /sdcard/flash.tether/wireless_tether_2_0_5-pre7.apk
- Done
------------------------
HTC Camera patch - This will force the camcorder to save videos are .mp4 and also allows you to open 3D Gallery from the Camera/Camcorder. Only install if you have the 3D Gallery installed.

MMS problems? Try this...
It seems MMS won't work for some people unless the HTC SetupWizard is run.
Install through recovery.
Run through HTC SetupWizard.
Test out MMS.

This sounds perfect, can't wait for the link to come up! Thanks for saving me the hassle of doing these things myself!

OMG... it's like an addiction!

A few questions:
1. Is this really from a newer rom leak, or is this really a gutted and modded version of the July 3 build that already leaked last weak? The only one that did leak.
2. Why are market apps hosed? Footprint issues?
3. Does this include the radio? That would be a good sign if includes the radio and would imply a newer rom build from HTC and not a modded from last week. Unless somebody somehow added the radio from the update leak from a few weeks ago....
I love the idea of a lite build and the extra files in a seperate file to install if you want. Just not interested if this is a mod of the leak already out. Newer lite build would be very nice.

It is based off a NEW leaked OTA. However the ROM I built is worked hence the reason there is no download link.
It's not just a market issue, its whenever you download anything. I will be doing a rebuild tonight.
Please do not bump this thread anymore.

Can we just get the original leak of this? untouched/stock?

this might be a dumb questions, but wanted to make sure.
6. Select "MIP Default Profile" and change your DUN NAI to [email protected]
did you mean vzw3g.com?

You have to be using a deodexed Rom AFAIK. Those instructions work on the Rom I'll be releasing.

Did the link to download the ROM get pulled? I would love to try this out

EDIT: Ok, so I set an alarm and it went off on time. Do you know what the bug was specifically?

Thanks, this is what I've been waiting for Rom wise, but being that my phone has made me late to work once this week I want to be positive before I flash something. Looks awesome though, eagerly sitting on my sdcard for the time being.
EDIT: Thank you, ill be flashing it tmrw, as long as it goes off on time I'm fine with it. Lord knows I can't do this stuff myself.

Well, with the release of the leak yesterday, I could not resist. Here is SkyRaider 2.0 based off the leak. This ROM is completely deodexed for your theming pleasure. As far as I know, everything in this ROM functions. To get the full benefit, you must be already running the leaked OTA radio v2.05.00.06.11. I do not know how this will react with a pre-ota radio. I am leaving 1.9b up for those who still want it. There will be no more updates to it.

UPDATES:
1. A full wipe when installing 2.5.2 is not required if you are flashing 2.5.2 Vanilla over 2.2 Vanilla or 2.5.2 Sense over 2.2 Sense. Any other combo requires a full wipe. S-OFF is not required to install these ROMs.
2. The install script has been completely re-written and now uses an update-binary. You should see the nice new banner while installing.
3. Much of the framework for the Vanilla version is now replaced with vanilla colors and icons. There are still some Sense artifacts, but very little.
4. The themes were updated for the new builds and more boot animations were added. The theme for Sense is coming. Working on it has been a slow process.
5. I removed the old Wireless Tether so download and install the newest one from here--> Wireless Tether 2.0.5 pre7
(make sure you rename or delete the android.tether folder on your sd card)
6. If you have problems flashing in recovery, use ROM Manager to install the ROM
7. New ringtones/alerts are built in.
8. To get touch tones to work with automated systems like voicemail, you must disable or change audible touch tones to long (1.9b only)
Menu>Settings>Sound>Audible touch tones
9. Do not use this setting. It does not work atm: Menu>Settings>Wireless & Networks >Mobile networks (1.9b only)
10. If you are having problems installing apps using the Market, make sure you clear the cache
Menu>Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All>Market>Clear cache

The leak does have Froyo Apps2sd working. It actually moves these apps to your internal storage and not your sd card. Here is a little trick to allow any application to be moved. Just be careful. Having widgets and other essential programs running from your internal storage may pose a problem if you routinely mount it to your computer.

Nice. I'm averaging 35 on CM6.
Is there any particular reason we couldn't use the Evo kernel and simply repackage it using Koush's any kernel method? I really, really, really! want himem support. I would take that over 2.2, to be honest.

This is one massive update to my ROM. I have personally themed damn near every image in it. A LOT of help came from Sonny Sekhon, author of the ICS theme for T-Mobile Theme Engine. Many thanks to him for getting me started on this!

Recommendations:
Wipe EVERYTHING before installing, or you WILL have problems.
Give the ROM time to run, before judging it. It will be slow to start, but speed will increase as things settle in. Wont take long, maybe a few minutes!
As for the Market, you need to sign into your Google account FIRST, and then the icon will appear.

Wondering the same thing. Has anyone tried this rom?
I'm an Evo user, rooted of course, with a nob question. Got a hold of a droid x, rooted it and want to flash this rom. Nob question. Can I boot int recover via rom mgr and flash or do I need to use boot straps to do this? I'm not well versed in cwm as I use RA for my evo. Thanks in advance, and take it easy on me please.
Also Can2t install
I just fresh sbf'ed back to 0.602. When I try to install I get Error 7 from clockwork....anyone else having this problem? Do i need to flash 2int recovery to install?-AT

What's going on CHEVY? I was wondering if it was fine for me to just install this on top of MIUI 1.10.21?
besides wiping dalvik if I do, will I need to format system as well by any chance?
Thanks for this awesome rom. Miui got boring after a while. I've been using it since it was released for us Droid x users.
Thanks for nice work but I have a question, what about the camera as I test in CM7 is too bad ? did you solve it in your ROM?
Looks great! Nice work
Wifi Issues
IS anyone else experiencing WIFI issues with this ROM? Sometimes I cannot get it to connect; then if I reset the phone a bunch of times it eventually connects....I wiped everything and reflashed twice; still having the issue.
Anyone else experiencing this?

WHAT I DID:
Slim_Ryder is about as small as you can get a Froyo rom ~92mb. I Started with one hell of a good base - Zendroid by Br1cK'd - and then pulled apps and replaced some. I ended up pulling a few files from Project-V in order to get EDT Tweaks apps to work. This is as slim and streamline as I could get. This is your opportunity to start with a minimalistic Froyo and add apps that you want.
--I then "ported" the a bunch of old Froyo themes I will post as well. I had to pull a few apps from them (Vending and some system files) to make sure they don't break stuff. Download the themes from my posting but hit the thanks button of each themer.
I also created a flashable "Return to stock" package. It will also reset system files and most primary ROM files all in one.
After Slim was completed I created the next two levels Fat_Ryder and Road_King. Info on all in the 2nd post
--Lol I got a gps lock with 9sats in my basement

<<<<<<<ROM PROPERTIES - DIFFERENCES>>>>>>>
SLIM_RYDER
This is the base ROM for all three. This is about as slim as Froyo can get. I removed Touchwiz and replace a lot of apps to reduce the size. Experienced users can flah this and add anything to suit their needs. Even Google backup transport removed.
FAT_RYDER
This is Slim_Ryder with a few system + user apps added. This is what used to be Slim-Ryder + the app pack. Touchwiz still gone but a few other apps added. I reskinned a music app as "Ryder Music" for kicks.
FAT_RYDER INCLUDES:
Cpuspy
Gpstest
Voltage Control
Download All
Galaxy Tuner
Root Browser free
Titanium Backup
Rom Manager
Mx Video Player
Control Panel
Samsung Apps
Sgs Tools
Kernel Flasher
Spare Parts
NEW SYSTEM apps in App pack:
HD Camera
Clock Package
SegoeUI Flipfont
Music Player
Sound Player
ROAD_KING
This is the full featured ROM based of Slim_Ryder. Touchwiz is reintroduced. Some of the smaller Slim_Ryder apps are fully replaced (IE: AOSP Calendar for TWcalendar). Also a few of the stock apps are added like Memo and My Diary. Also this ROM has the FFC files added so those who have a FFC can test it out. Road King comes with TW3, TW4, and HOLO launchers. This ROM was so packed I had issues keeping it under 200mb (most upload site have a 200mb limit). I ran this ROM for about 4 days and battery life was good and it was very smooth.
Also Road_King has had the FFC files installed so if I could have someone with a FFC test it Id be grateful.

***INFO AND SUGGESTIONS***
With a few people asking how I got the most out of GPS on this rom here is the steps I take to get 9 locks in my basement. btw: I have an original T959 with the hardware fix applied.
After the ROM is settled here are my steps:
Download GPS Aids FREE and start it up
You will see "We need your attention" and ask for money. Hit "Read More" and then hit the back button on your phone
Select device > Galaxy S (XTRA / LTO)
Hit "Start Setup"
Allow Root
Click next
It will try to download both - LTO will work but XTRA will fail - its normal
Hit Finish
Visit Google+ if you want (I hit no)
Click "Download GPS Aiding Data"
Once its done downloading (and tell you XTRA failed) just close the program
IMPORTANT: After doing this Im not sure why but it will mess up your NTP server. My next steps fix that
Next:
Open SGS TOOLS app
Get thru the startup screens
Select the bottom "Gps Fix" The north-american one works for me
Hit Apply
Allow root if needed
Now click "Secret Codes" at the top then "GPS-Test and settings.."
Here is some trail and error on what works for you.
Application Settings
Operation Mode> Switch to either "MS Based" or "MS Assisted" (I use based)
SUPL/CP Settings:
Three choices here that can be used -
www.spirent-lcs.com
port: 7275
or
supl.google.com
port: 7276
or (what I use)
supl.sonyericsson.com
port: 7275
Given each a try - remember to reboot between each.
Back out of the app and reboot and test it out.

Great job Moped! I just flashed bionix but dl'ing now!
I just want to verify, we can flash both gapps and app_pack right after install, or anytime after that as well, correct? I figured its just a zip with the apk's in it.
Thanks for all the help!
Edit: Swweeetttt boot screen!
Looks pretty cool to me..Excellent work.
Nice... very nice!
Yes you can flash all three then boot.

One thing I've noticed, I can't get any ringtones or notification sounds to play from Zedge. It could possibly be their servers, but their wallpapers and everything else comes up fine.
Edit: I also use BeWeather and the animations aren't playing because of the beats.audio video player bug. Is there a way to go back to voodoo?
I didnt add beats audio to the rom to save space. I could try and upload a "no-wipe" version that should remove it.
Ok, I didn't add it either, unless it's added with the apps_pack. Any idea why video player wouldn't work?
Also, how do you assign the search key to search? Right now it doesn't do anything.
A million thanks!

Ok I see what you are talking about.
Flashed just base ROM
--Video player no work
--Sound from zedge no work
Flashed App pack and updated mx player
--Stock video player no work
--sound from zedge no work
Flashed beats audio with Gapps pack
-Everything worked.
I think beats audio needs to be flashed to provide the correct drivers / libs. Its in the 2nd post. I will test now.
Beats audio is required. I stripped so much out to get it small it wont play files.
I will add beats audio to it and upload version 2. If you installed the original just flash beats audio in 2nd post.

I did, but still when I press the hotkey it doesn't do anything. Hmmm. I am going to flash beats and see if miraculously that fixes it.
- And you are very welcome! Glad I could help!
Possible market issue:
If you boot and the market doesnt show your apps that you bought as purchased try this:
Method #1
Try and reflash just the base rom and log into Play store and check - then flash the Gapps or app pack.
Method #2
Settings>Applications>Manage applications>Google Play Store>Clear data
Reboot
Open up TB and select menu>Market Tools>Marker Doctor>User&System apps
Reboot
wait a few and should be fixed

Noticed the same but if you long press the search key it gives option to assign an app. I assigned voice search now a single press of the search key opens voice search.
Great Rom Ryder. Flashed the base, gapps, and app pack. After boot flashed WiFi apk and precision theme. Everything works as it should. Great job.
Edit* Have to long press search key to open voice search after assigning the app, not single press. But it still works.

Are you looking for a stable and smooth Gingerbread 236 experience?
A completely reliable and fully functioning daily driver?
Tweaked and modded as you have come to expect from a GB ROM?
Lightly Blured with an AOSPish twist?
A Clean Slate to modify as YOU wish?
Introducing a custom AOSPish ROM based on the deodexed Gingerbread 2.3.6 (4.5.141) Fruit Cake made by Xanadu. The ROM has been almost completely de-bloated and de-blured, and has many AOSP components.
Try to think of this ROM as a Clean Slate to modify as YOU wish. I don't want to force apps, gapps, themes, and launchers on you.
I will leave it up to YOU to decide how you want YOUR ROM to look and function.
First boot is slow (due to deodex). Just be patient and enjoy the AOSP boot animation!
All the features of CSROM plus:
Faux 1.45GHz 026b1 unified kernel
V6 Supercharged (1000HP)
Faster and smoother than CSROM
Still has great battery life
Apps open instantly!
The idea was to create a customized status bar that reminds the user of the dashboard of a high-end sports car with the color scheme of the Motorola boot logo. This theme, which is compatible with both CSROM and CSROM Turbo, includes the HTC Sense status bar, status bar icons, and notification drawer.

Gingerbread 2.3.6 (4.5.141) Stock Fruitcake
At the same time I was working on the ROM above, I also spent some time trying to understand the problem with installing Gingerbread 2.3.6 Fruit Cakes. There are many members of this forum, myself included, that have been looking for a Gingerbread 2.3.6 (4.5.141) fruit cake to return to stock. There are a few available on SamCripp’s thread, but there seems to be issues for some users installing them (if you search the thread you will find references to “System 7” errors). After trying to use these fruit cakes for a while I realized that I could not get them to install properly coming from a CM9/10 ROM, but coming from CM7 usually worked fine. After noticing that the GB 234 and 235 Fruit Cakes worked great every time, I started experimenting with install script mods. I eventually made one that works every time no matter which ROM I was currently running. The fruit cake I was using is listed on SamCripp’s thread as “2.3.6” and was also made by Xanadu and is pure stock. There is a download link below for my mod for anyone that is interested. If you use it let me know how it works. (Don’t misinterpret anything I have said above as a slight to SamCripp or ROM Factory – mad love for both!)
Many thanks to:
SamCripp for ROM Factory

I don't know. In theory, it is possible. You may find some useful info in the link below where AT&T users were able to use a Froyo UK fruitcake.

[ROM] [stock 4.1.2] Droid Nexesque v3.6 XT925/XT926 "Fast, Stable & Reliable"
** Disclaimer, this is something I am posting here from the www.droidrzr.com forum with direct authorization from the OP to also alert everyone on XDA Developers and the direct download link to the Rom. Ive flashed soo many different Roms and this works the best and in my opinion is the most fast, stable and Force Close free. Battery life is one of the best I've seen for any phone as well. Thanks for this great opportunity to get this to every user smart enough to flash it adamjmtz and JP1044 **
So, I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not a real developer, but I have spent quite a bit of time reading the INTERNET. This is a stock-based RAZR HD ROM that I have themed and debloated to be as close to a stock nexus experience as possible (hence the 'nexesque' name). I basically like things to be clean, unintrusive, and stable.
DISCLAIMER: I built this rom for my own personal use and I’m posting it on here for you to try. Blah blah blah, if you brick your device it’s your own damn fault.

OPTIONAL ADDON STEP BY STEP GUIDE ON CUSTOMIZING ROM provided from user hallokitty. Special thanks to him.
The framework is an apk easily installed: http://dl.xposed.info/latest.apk (From this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401)
GravityBox is here: http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.ceco.gm2.gravitybox - there's a link to the APK, currently 2.6.9
Just download them both, install the first framework APK first.. then open it. Choose the "Framework" option at the top. Press "Install/Update". It will need a reboot after.
Then install the GravityBox APK.
In your app drawer, go into "Xposed Installer", you'll be back at the same screen as before, press on "Modules", and check "GravityBox". I think it may even need a reboot again, I don't remember.
From there, just go into GravityBox in your app drawer, it has a few good tweaks - the main reason I got this one is because I can make the Navigation Bar smaller so I have more screen space, you can show the menu key etc.. Also you can center the clock on the status bar, make other visual changes to the Rom and many other tweaks to Nexesque.
As for the DPI, I just went with this simple app in the market: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.texdroider.texdroider_dpi
I'm currently running at 240 and I've had no market issues, but some apps will think you're on a tablet, so it can look odd. I had no problem with any of the settings I tried so far, so I can't report any real issues with that. I didn't try any crazy values though, I say between 200-300 is probably going to work fine.
The link says 926 so is this for the xt926 or will it also work on the xt925? I'm a little afraid to go onward without a little more info but it does sound like a nice ROM to try out

This is what I've been able to find for you Safe Strap users: " I have this ROM running via safe strap right now. Built it out last night.
SS 3.12
My procedure: Erased rom slot 1 completely by doing standard cache wipes and wiping the OS. Then activated a different ROM slot. Then clicked rom slot 1 and deleted it.
Rebuilt rom slot 1 with a 2 gig partition. Did all the standard wipes again before I installed. Mounted system only, unchecked other boxes. Installed ROM. Once this ROM was installed wiped cache and dalvik cache & booted, no issues to report yet"

I tried this and it kinda works. doesnt connect as good as the proper xt925 ROM and toggling the network type from global to GSM and back after evey reboot is annoying. Please god somebody duplicate this rom on the xt925. PLEASE!
wifi not work
my device is 925, and I own the safestrap procedure that legend221 described. The rom flashed normally, but the wifi does not work.
What could have happened?

I removed the kernel in post #2 as it was an alternative for the Rom but not a requirement.
Performed a full wipe and re flashed just the Rom by itself and it fixed my wifi issue at a local hotspot.
I use mobile data 99 percent of the time so I never noticed before.
Try the same and let us know if you can connect now.
I installed with CWM and now it worked. It's a pity I have not got the safestrap = /

Glad to hear.
I don't have safestrap and am unlocked. Being unlocked is better than having safestrap as some users have tried to unlock but their phones are already upgraded so they cannot unlock their phones anymore.
You should be happy you are unlocked

Is there an option in this ROM to remove the soft keys at the bottom of the screen? I use PIE Controls and don't need or want the built-in soft keys. I'd prefer to have the screen real estate. If that option exists I'd love to give this ROM a try.
use it on an xt925
In case anybody is interested, try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2394689
seems like the trick to make a xt926 ROM work properly with a xt925

I don't get it, why doesn't this work with GSM sims isn't the Razr HD a world phone meaning it works with Verizon cdma and international GSM networks (US with radio mod)
Sent from my Droid Razr Maxx HD (GSM)
Thx for this ROM,
I like as close to stock as possible.
It had a hard time until I figured out that you put a radio file in it.
