Just got my X7501 this morning...so far it's great!
Anyway, as I've had great success with Vaja cases in the past, I checked on Vaja cases for the X750x and Vaja shows that it's coming. So, I emailed them to get more specifics and they wrote back that I should check back in a few days...
So, if any of you might be interested in an excellent quality leather case like Vaja makes, please go to their website and go to the HTC Advantage page and fill-in your email address to get notified when it's available...the more people that do this the sooner they'll likely release the case for our device....

Well I don't think Vaja is going to come out with a case. It's been too long already, x7500 release has come and gone, x7501 release has come and gone....what more do we need to get the case from Vaja....nothing. Most likely not coming and they aren't getting my e-mail address again for nothing. :-/
They need to update their website and tell us something or take the Athena off the page.
Same for me... has been a long time since I left to Vaja my e-mail address, may be some unsolecited advertising comes also from the mailing list they have....
Excellent Leather case for X7501 / 7500
I got an HTC X7501 and just ordered my case at Piel Frama (http://www.pielframa.com/cases_htc_x7500.htm ); they are costly, and I mean it, but it proved to be EXCELLENT quality; take a good look at their offer for just this model and you’ll see for yourself - I have been using one with my old iPAQ and believe it or not after almost 1.5 years of daily use still looks like new. Besides they are extremely flexible and upon taking the whole responsibility for, they even agreed on making me a customized one with a belt clip - their regular case for the Advantage does not come with a belt clip as they considered the device too heavy to fit one on it.
nacos, the PielFrama cases look like they are made of very good quality.
Only thing is that the leather/finish choices do not look as nice to me as the typical Vaja leather choices. However, I realize that I am judging the the PielFrama case by the photos I've seen.
I have had several other Vaja cases and their leather is excellent.
Oh well....in the meantime, the HTC leather case isn't that bad....

If you really want it you can always use www.shipito.com (I have used them many times for restricted items) or a similar service. They charge USD 8.- per shipment and their shipping rates are very reasonable.
It's not even available on the Otterbox site yet, hopefully once they ramp up production Amazon UK will carry it.

Just checked on that case, one website said it's due out 13th September so it should be out soon. Although being 100% silicone I wouldn't want it to stick to my pockets and pick up dirt....
given the choice I think I'd rather get the otterbox one, the amzer looks more like it would stop minor cosmetic damage such as scratches rather than a knock.

This looks great i bought the Case-Mate Tough Case for my Galaxy S and this looks very similar to it so i have now registered for an alert when it becomes available and think I'll get one as so far its one of the nicest and most practical looking cases I've seen for our Streaks as am currently using one of those Neoprene pouches off of E-Bay as a temporary solution..

Which is considered to be the slimmest and best looking case? Defender,Impact or commuter from Otterbox? I think I am going to stick with the Amzer case it looks better to me. Here goes an updated photo on how the case looks. If you go through Amazon you can get it for 14.97.

Search Dell Streak Cases and you will see the Amzer cases for sale. The funny thing is that there are two sellers listing the silicon cases one for 6.97 with free shipping and the other for 24.95. Maybe this is Amzers supplier on the Dell Streak cases.

Having looked at the Amzer case and the Otterbox one I think I'm going to get the Otterbox as it looks more capable of transfering shock away from the device.
The other Otterbox cases as posted by barry99705 will be interesting too. I'm going to wait and see what they look like when the pics go up.
So I was hoping we could talk about high quality cases that look good and may cost more than the usual cases found on ebay etc. Even though I understand cheap is good at times I do prefer my cases to be of a high standard to hold my precious Nexus 7.
Any high quality cases on the horizon?
I've been looking at a sleeve. I can't post a link, but it's leather and comes with a 100 year warranty. It's by Saddleback Leather and is the medium gadget sleeve.

Saddleback is GOOD stuff. Might have to see if they have one that will fit the N7, otherwise might be able to request one.
Someday I'd love to get a Saddleback Attache. They are beautiful and will last long enough to pass down to grandkids (I don't have kids yet)!

Timbuk2 makes really great cases. They are currently on sale for the kindle fire. I have double checked the dimensions and it will def fit the Nexus 7. The great thing about the Timbuk2 cases are the functional design. They have a pillow style memory foam padding and ballistic Nylon outside, and a plush, velour faux fur lining for the inside. The faux fur really goes a long way to keeping the screen and body scratch free.
I have 2 on order. They have a couple of different color combos to choose from. I am def into the sleeve style cases. I don't understand why anyone would want to put their tablet or e-reader in a jacket. They are designed to be held, especially the Nexus 7. The rubber back just begs to be gripped.
I'm hoping for a nice case from Incipio. Love the case from them that I have on my Galaxy Nexus.
I went with the roocase super bubble and XOSkin screen protector. I will eventually get a TPU case but don't really like any that are out now.
Those handcrafted leather ones look amazing though! Very nice brand name for other leather goods, but I didn't know they made this line of stuff.

I've asked Oberon Design if they're planning to make one for the Nexus 7. http://oberondesign.com/e-reader-covers-4/siena-ereader-covers.html I've had two of their covers and they're amazing. Their tablet cover isn't intricate like their Ebook reader covers but the quality is definitely there.

Looking at the dimensions, the Nexus 7 should fit nicely. The quality is really drawing me in. But they're kind of expensive.

Actually, I got a reply this morning - a good one:
"We are looking into making a cover specifically for the Nexus. We have one ordered and once we receive it we will be able to develop our design. I don’t know at this point if the siena style will be an option or not. We will have to see. Stay tuned for more information on our website and facebook page.

Does anyone know if the official N7 case works as a horizontal kickstand?
I bought the Timbuk2 Plush Sleeve, which is designed for the Kindle Fire, but the Nexus 7 is within the maximum dimensions. I've always been a big fan of their stuff and this sleeve is no exception... super nice!
FYI... I can confirm the Plush sleeve for the Fire fits the N7 perfectly.
I also asked a G+ question to Vajacases.com. Genuine Argentinian leather products. I began using them on my Sony Clie back in the days of pdas
Awesome product, almost to the par of Oberon cases. I have one on my wife's old Nook but looks great.

Hit up Vajacases @ www.vajacases.com they offer a GS5 case so very likely they will offer one for the GS5. Plus unlike Apple, Samsung actually gets their accessory vendors in on the design so they are ready at launch where Apple forces everyone to wait, penalizes them for using leaked designs from further Made For I accessory options, like who cares. Do you have to have permission to make a case for a phone anyways. I can't imagine aftermarket car accessory vendors have to get permission to offer floor mats or other accessories.
One more thing . . . I did a quick Amazon search for Galaxy S6 Edge Cases and chose Leather/Faux Leather box and the search results are below.

looks like a spigen clone to me. 90% of the cases out there are spigen copies, they are top notch cases so everyone tries to replicate them.

I'm not sure I would say that they are copies OF spigen... most of these cases are made in the same chinese factories, it's just that we understand spigen's cases to be the in the top percentage of quality. But that's like arguing that Sheetz has better gas than BP has, although they both buy from the same supplier.

Spigen cases aren't made in china, and they actually have their company Headquarter in the US..

not to be rude, but we're suppose to believe your review when you got the cases for free? not all companies throw away free cases to beggers for a review, maybe you got turned down because good cases don't need to be given away for review. companies usually give away cases when they don't make many sales... also, amazon reviews are flawed because competitors can leave negative reviews to others.. buy good brand and be done with it.

I think you're a little wrong with that comment, agreed many cases do look similar to what Spigen make, but who copied who lol I think there's a growing consumer trend for cases that are either sleek and stylish or functional or protective. And pretty much all mobile phone case manufacturers have caught onto that trend, so it's now and immensely saturated market with everyone producing cases very similar to one another. I guess the benefit of this is they're all fighting for sales, which often means reductions in prices, good for us

its easy to know who copied who.. Who came out with the first Neo Hybrid? Spigen. now there is a flood of them. anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional or hasnt been buying cases for very long to have known what Spigen cases have looked like for years..
Hello All,
It seems to me that none of the big boys in the case market don't think there is a market to make cases for the Nexus line of phones (5x/6p).
I've sent emails to UAG and lunatik, a facebook message to Otterbox and got the responses that there is either no information or no interest in making the cases for these phones.
This is a call for you to bug those companies to show them there is demand for good quality cases for the Nexus line of phones.
Once the reviews come out there will be more demand but for now let's make some noise and email or flood the Facebook pages to let them know that we want the cases.
If we can show them there's people who will buy them maybe they will get their head out of their asses and put in the effort
Post who you have emailed and update with responses. With some luck and effort, we might be able to change their minds

I wish UAG would make cases for this phone, but it sounds like they will not. I already posted on their Facebook page day 1 and also filled out their online form that users can request what new phones they want added. However I highly doubt we will see any cases from them, they have great cases but their phone support is abysmal

I contacted Seidio and they said that they didn't have any plans at the moment to make a case for the N5X. Although I did hear this same answer from them before when the N5 came out. Seidio eventually made cases for the N5 and I'm hoping that they make the same cases for the 5X since I love using their belt clip case for my N5. I personally like to use a belt clip case because I find it uncomfortable to have my phone in my pocket.
Now that the phones are starting to ship, let's bug the manufacturers again

Since the new nexus devices are getting amazing reviews and selling like hot cakes, maybe we should send another round of messages to the manufacturers again to see if they have changed their mind
