Problem installing Busybox in Wildfire - Wildfire Android Development

Can't install busybox. I get "adb: permission denied" whatever i do.A busybox install tutorial would be good.Sorry for being such a noob.

if you are rooted adn using wildpuzzle rom you allready have busybox..

My phone is rooted with unrevoked app.I havent flashed the wildpuzzle rom.Tried to flash, but i created a big mess,so i restored my original backup.

Anyway,i followed the tutorial and installed this wildpuzzle rom.No need for this post. Thanks anyway!

Rooting Captivate that has Cognition 2.2?

I'm trying to get root(superuser) access on my captivate which already has Cognition 2.2. I was trying to update Cognition Rom to the latest beta and having issues because the captivate would not restart in clockwork recovery even when rom manager would tell it too.
I thought by unrooting it using one click root it would work so I did that and now I cant root it back to try the update of the ROM again (I know dumb).
Now its 2.2 and I dunno how to get root access.
Install using an Odin installer.
will that give root access and install cognition 2.2 latest beta? I've never used the Odin installer.
Yes. It's like clockwork, but on your computer.

I don't know if you've already tried this or if it will help at all but I was having somewhat similar problems on my phone running stock 2.1 update 1 but after I ran "fix permissions" in ROM Manager it worked. Hope that helps.

[Q] unrooting issues

hey all,
im having some issues with unrooting my I9000
i had a rooted 2.1 eclair device wich i updated to 2.2 now i cant root or unroot it anymore. tried aplying the update.zip wich gave me signature verification error and the one click root/unroot doenst even do anything (unless startup then)
do i need to reset the original firmware back again or is there a solution ?

Did you root it again after you get 2.2? that's why you wanna unroot?? My understanding is that once you flash the firmware, the root is gone too.
nope my phone was rooted when i updated it but after the update apps said that it wasnt rooted anymore, so i tried rooting it again, that didnt work and the kernel version says root so that why i want to unroot, i want root 2.2
solved
installed SuperOneClick root and it worked thanks anyways

But I have updated my phone to 2.3.6(XWJVZ)(For the first time without kies using odin)
And I have flashed semaphore kernel 2.1.1 (For the first time)
But after flashing it I downloaded the app Root Check BAsic to see if my phone was rooted or no.
It said-"This device does not have proper root access"
I also tried installing Titanium backup
It said -"could not get root access"
What is the problem??
The phone runs absolutely fine with no problems
Also I read somewhere that I need to have busybox and superuser installed
Do I have to???
And if yes How do I install the 2
Please provide proper instructions if i have to install the apps
Please correct me if I am going wrong

Open titanium backup and hit the problems button and it will download the busybox version appropriate . Ensure you have net access .
