Hi guys i have been looking around on google xda etc. but there is nothing about running htc hero on xperia using haret, does anyone knows if this is possible . thanks in advance
First HTC Hero is a device, not something that run.
Probably you mean Hero's interface, HTC Sense. AFAIK is not ported yet.
thats what i mean im dont know much about the htc devices
Actually I've uses the Hero Rosie package from Blackstone, and it sucks. Not only it doesn't fit WVGA properly, but like sense on WM6, it's slow and takes ages to load. Plain android is no worse, I should say
i said what I wanted to boy...I too want a HTC Hero UI on my X1...i think it is by far THE best device by HTC..of course there are HD2 and all, but they have come later...

Well, I meant wm6.1 of course. Well, wm6 and wm5 can be ported to xperia, but it makes no sense. Just go to the Xperia ROM section and pick up any 'Leo' rom if you want sense for wm6.1/wm6.5

just use the current startup and the zimage, and copy the rest of the files. It should boot, it did for me once or twice

I tried it and it sucks!
for me it booted once and on the next boot writes "no system.img on SD Card"

Just in case, I'm using
package_sense_hero_rosie_140310.tar.gz with rootfs_use_if_pbs_booting.img renamed to rootfs.img on my X1. Wifi doesn't work (well, I guess it will work once i put calibration and fix the init script but I don't care), but sound does (with the zImage from the nearby thread), and mic works for sound calls and voice command. Ok, I'll take my time to fix the issues and repackage the image. Still Sense sucks in WVGA. And a small hint to android users: if you want OpenGL and other cool things, launch the camera application before launching your desired app. That'll also make sense faster

I am using base_package0704.tar.gz + rootfs-20100414-f4f483c.zip + system1304.sqsh & downloaded latest kernel from "glemsom.anapnea.net/android/htc-msm-android" of course using drlucky's zImage. However i didn't manage to get sound working (vibrate is), shutdown is working...
Screen upside down since fatsal had to patch android driver for kovsky to initialize panel the correct way. I am not a programmer but believe it will need to be included in system.sqsh. I will give it try with set of files you're using and report on sound as well as overall impressions comparing to what I'm running

tried quickly with set of files above no sound...+ doesn't contain htc sense
as you see from my prev post, set of files I'm using, from gives a custom android 2.1 with HTC Sense look. from same thread "Sound" is among features requested for next release.
we are thankful if you could fix the init script so we can have wifi working
Anyone tried installing the Panel Application on the latest 826x Series WM6.5.3 Build 29007?
I used the X1 Panel Manager and worked ok with it. For some reason it freezes for a few seconds every now and then ( the panel manager ) but that always happens to me with every rom that doesnt come with the panel manager already installed.

Helo XDA developers.
I have a problem.. My screen on samsung galaxy mini is cracked (touch working fine) but here's the problem:
I want to install custom rom with ClockWorkMod but because my screen is cracked i need something to see my screen trougth PC.
I'm using MyPhoneExplorer but while in recovery mod i see only organge color not text.
Any suggestions?

I'm having trouble when I attempt to flash anything that has an aroma installer. At first I thought it was just the twrp version that I was using (so far I tried 2.7.0.0 - 2.7.0.2 - 2.7.0.7) I can't seem to get any of them to function via touch screen, only volume/power buttons.
Has anyone else had this problem?
AROMA needs to be updated to support our device's touch driver. This is no fault of the recovery.

Was wondering about that... I tried to use ROM Cleaner and no luck on screen responding to touch.
Did anyone know if there is a workaround to using aroma installer on Sprint? I'm having the same issue.

use the volume keys and power button
Use 2 fingers..
1st touch what you want to select and hold it, then touch as close as possible with another finger.
Still a pain, but less of one then mashing the volume button a million times ?
