Touchscreen do not work anymore... but why?

Hello guys,
I have a big problem! My Diamond do not work anymore. I have used a rom for some weeks and by now, the touchscreen doesen't work. But why? Today, I was wondering, that the TouchFlow 3D got problems. When I use the touchscreen, I couldn't use the touchflow. Everytime, it scrolls the clock down and up (like using the sense). the only way was to use the hard buttons.
Then I decided to make a hard reset. and now, its not possible to get through the touch calibration screen. nothing will happen. what can i do?
please help me!
Have you tried another rom ?
I am experiencing the same problem with my diamond!
and I have read in another thread that it could be due to malfunction of the digitizer installed on top of the lcd screen
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=411386
I have tried flashing with another rom, but still no luck
so I have decided to order a brand new LCD+digitizer kit from ebay and try to get this fixed my own
wish me good luck
here is the link the the ebay page

HTC Digitizer problem (?)

Hey there everyone, thanks for taking a look at this post and (hopefully) someone can give me a bit of advice on the following problem:
I got an HTC Pure through ebay for a friend, said it had a touch screen problem (usually no problem, I just replace the digitizer when I see it). However, after I installed the new digitizer, the touch screen doesn't work except after doing a hard reset, and ONLY works with the touchflo moving through the different categories (left to right and vice-versa). Only the top half of the screen works, and it looks like it's controlling what should be the bottom half of the screen. I'm unable to get into the screen calibration settings because if I move out of the original touchflo screen (i.e., hit the hardware windows button or another hardware button) then there's no touch screen responsiveness at all. I already flashed an original stock Pure ROM, still no difference than before. My question is thus:
1. Can the screen calibration settings be accessed through a registry editor? And if so, can anyone provide some better settings?
2. Is this just a hardware problem and can't be fixed through software tweaks? Would flashing a different ROM possibly help?
My goal is to eventually unlock the Pure and install a Spanish language ROM, but I'm not going to put more money into the phone unless I can actually use the touchscreen correctly.
Thanks for any response!
Get an emulator such as Pocket Controller or My Mobiler and access the screen via your PC.
Run the screen calibration and see if that fixes it, if not its likely hardware related.
Not sure where in the registry calibration setings are but you should be able to find it with a search.
Thanks, I'll try that and I sure appreciate the quick response. Can't do it today but if it works I'll post and let everyone know how to fix it if they somehow encounter the same problem. Thanks again!

[Q] screen touch problem

hi.
i have milestone with screen touch problem. the problem is the right side of the screen doesnt respond including the button on the right side which looks like magnifier(also there is same in google search on screen). is this a hardware problem or software. how can i fix the problem. thanks for helping
Download an app called touch test, run it and verify that portion of the screen isn't working. Also does the screen not work all of the time? Sounds like a hardware problem a few phones have. There is however a similar problem with phantom touches that is caused by not using the motorola charger.
If it is hardware, you can get a Replacement digitizer off of ebay, or a donor phone. You have to be VERY comfortable with taking apart your phone though.
I'm not even thinking, if you have a warranty you can use that, I'm of the 'if you haven't opened it, you don't own it' crowd, so self repair is always the first thing to come to mind.

An external keyboard to replace Adam touchscreen ?

I broke the Adam touchscreen when trying to open it, and now the tablet is of no use - cant get an original touchscreen since my warranty is void - so i just stuck!
Havent been able to try any bluetooth keyboard or other, since i donot have access to any menus ..
Is it possible to replace Adam touchscreen with an external keyboard / joystick
Is there any other touchscreen which can sort of replace the original one
Any other options are welcomed !
Thanks in advance

touchscreen some points not working

hi guys i just bought a captivate from a friend and when i open the keyboard...the keys u,j,n, full stop ... are not working is it a digitiser screen problem?? or a software one??
any solutions to the problem???
If the same keys are not working in portrait and landscape mode, than it is a keyboard (software) problem.
If the same spots of the screen do not register touch in any app, then it is the digitizer (hardware) problem.
do we have any custom keyboard in which that area can not be put to use???
That's not what he said.
Do those points on the screen (where the keys are that don't work), work on any other app? (ie go into the web browser, load up a random page, and try touching the areas that didn't work and see if you get a response. If not then it's the screen. If it does work then it's the keyboard. Swift 3 or w/e worked with my cappy, so you can try that if you want.

saw that u own a xolo x1000... pls tell me how exactly u rooted the phone... we all have been running around to find a root solution and u say its rooted if so pls share...
If you want a root procedure, refer to the technique set forth by the XDA user Abhiraj4u.. It was a major breakthrough..

Any update on this? My phone started doing this and I'm not sure if it is from an upgrade or if something broke. Same deal; j n u don't work.
I'm running cyanogen 10.1.2 now and I enable the "show touches" on the developer screen. As I slide my finger from left to right, the vertical line stops moving and then two lines appear, and then it goes back to one line past the dead spot. Look like there is a region about 1 cm (1/2 in) that is a dead zone where the input doesn't work. It is dead from the top to the bottom of the screen.
This is on a captivate i897 that was upgraded from 2.3.5 gingerbread to cyanogen 10.1.2.
Any ideas?
