Cyanogen 6.0.0 phone freezes with wifi & bluetooth - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey all,
New poster, long time reader here. I have an issue that I could not seem to resolve, even after scouring the web for hours in search for an answer:
My nexus one recently developed an issue with bluetooth and wireless while I was on CyanogenMod 6.0.0-RC3. I proceeded to update to 6.0.0 stable release and yet I still experience this issue. What is wrong with my poor baby!?!? I did not do anything other than install apps from the market and off the market.
So to recap:
1) wifi boggs down the phone so bad that it freezes when I try to connect to my home network or any network.
1.5) wifi displays 'error' sometimes when I try to turn it on
2) bluetooth connects to device and then drops.
My specs:
Android verson: 2.2
Baseband version: 32 41 00 32 H_5 08 00 04
Kernel version: 2 6 34 5- cyanogenmod shade(at) toxygene #1
Mod version: CyanogenMod-6 0 0 -N1
Build number: FRF91
Could this be a radio problem?
Update:
• I updated the radio to 32 50 00 32u _ 5 12 00 08
• The phone functions perfectly when I keep bluetooth and wifi off.
SOMEBODY HALPP MEE!!

Why don't you try 6.1.0 RC1?
I would consider wiping if I were you...

So I've wiped and updated to 6.1.0 RC1 but the problems still persist. Any other solutions? Could this be a hardware issue?

Looks like it's a HW issue. Both WiFi and BT are governed by Broadcom chip, and connected to with SDIO (among the rest).
You might want to dump /proc/kmsg right after trying to connect to WiFi, and post the dump here.

sometimes kernel driver can cause this issue, but you've flashed CM 6.1 rc1 and the issue still isn't solved, so it seems to be hardware problem.

[Solved] WLAN disconnections every 1:02 min

Hi community,
since i flashed the first rom one week ago, this bug always appears again.
Whats the problem exactly:
i can connect to my WLAN normaly
it stays as it should if i do nothing (no downloads or anything else)
when i do download or use the WLAN in any way (i also tryed ping) it reconnects every 1 minute and 2 seconds (i know this from the access log of my Router)
My flash history:
first stock and a update via kies. -> everything was perfect
DarkyRom v 10.2 RE via odin -> i cant remember if i had the bug already
DarkyRom v 10.2.2 via CWM -> bug
DarkyRom v 10.4 via CWM -> bug (multiple trys)
Stock Value Pack JVQ via Odin -> bug
Allways with a wipe before
What i did already:
Flashed multiple Modem files (i can't remember all, but one was ZSJPG)
In our house we have 3 Computers connected over WLAN, all of them work perfectly!
Factory resets...
Used Wifi Analyzer to see if my Band is croudet: no its not, i am living in a small village, there is no other Router in reach besides mine, and the strength gets never under -70 dB
Ping my Phone with my laptop (ping -c 300 #ip of the phone#).
Result: 4-6% Package loss
it also happens when i lay my phone directly besides the router
Being unhappy
What i will do:
Test it on other routers
My actual Firmware and so on:
Model:I9000
Firmware: Android 2.3.6
Modem: I9000XXJVU
Kernel: 2.6.35.7-I9000XXJVU-CL851880
[email protected] #2
Build: GINGERBREAD:XXJVU
Router: DSL-EasyBox 803 A
Tell me if i forgot information, the test on the other Router will be done es fast as possible
Thanks in advance and i hope anyone can help me with this strange bug
after i flashed nearly 20 stockroms today it finally works on darkyrom v10.2
I dont know the reason it just works
some additional information, for people it might help with their problems:
Model:I9000
Firmware: Android 2.3.4
Modem: I9000XXJVQ
Kernel: 2.6.35.7-I9000XXJVQ-CL281085
[email protected]_2.9.2_JVQ
Build: DarkyRom JVQ v10.2
I used the Resurrection Edition (RE) [for noobs: flashed with Odin]
well as you do, now you can move on to 2.3.6 FW jvu are some changes. You can try the semaphore kernel 2.5.0 and 0.7.1 rom @ oserx. good luck

[Q] "unable to connect to this network" on CM9 - wifi works

Three days ago, I have upgraded my N7000 with the CM9 nightly posted on 2012 07 01 and since i don't have any network signal on my phone.
I can manually scan network but on selecting any of the networks available, it shows the message: "unable to connect to this network at this time. Please try again later."
My SIM card works on a friend phone and his SIM card doesn't work on mine.
The IMEI number shows up correctly and the Efs folder isn't empty. I am on the Orange network.
According to the similar posts on xda, I tried :
A full flash with the latest version of CM9 (2012 07 05) (Wipe data+cache)
to restaure the file "apns-conf.xml"
to remove SIM pin
My phone still find available networks but is unable to connect ...
Thanks for your help.
I think this wifi problem common in CM9. I was browsing CM9 in development section of this forum, there are few posts on this isssue, you may find your answer there.( I am little bit nerveous with cm9 based roms, so I have not flashed any of them yet)
Thank you Dsmas,
(Just a point it's not a wifi problem, wifi works, it's about the network signal)
I tried to flash with the RC1 of CM9, but there is still the same connection problem : "unable to connect to this network at this time. Please try again later".
It seems that the problem is not related to the rom cyanogen... Any idea?
It's ok, but i don't understand why...
After multiple reboot it's working now! Perhaps one night switched off....

P7300 CM10 (3.1 kernel) "WiFi turning on" problem (logcat+dmesg in)

Hi all!
I cannot post replies in Development forums, so decided to create new thread here.
I'm using CM10 from kallt_kaffe starting from first build. I like it's speed and don't want to move back to ICS (cm9 or official).
Had no problems before.... before 3.1 kernel.
With new builds I have very strange bugs: to enable WiFi I have to reboot my tablet 10 times in a row. Sometimes more.
And noticed that I'm not the only one that have this problem.
I tried different CWM, bootloaders, builds (3g or wifi only), factory reset, format /system, install official honeycomb then CM10, even install official ICS for 7310 with it's bootloader (from ODIN) then CM10. No luck. Same bugs.
Also (very often) I see black screen instead of CM logo while boot. Right after "Samsung galaxy tab 8.9" logo. And have to reboot tablet.
Does anyone knows, how to solve this?
logcat (with removed garbage) and dmesg output are attached.
Thanks a lot!

I've made countless wipes, resets, reinstalls. Even flashed P7310-EULA firmware via ODIN. And different CM10 builds.
Useless.
But it's not something with hardware, as WiFi works like a charm in ICS, HC and CM10 2.6 kernel.
Also when WiFi starts in lastest CM10, it works just fine until next reboot. And it's working fine after long sleep.
i installed cm10 25. october build for my 8.9. Everything works fine but can't use wifi. wifi is on and it connects to the internet but no downloading or uploading. Also when i plug my tablet to PC just nothing happens. I cant even change my rom with another one bc of these problems.
Any idea?

There are at least 3 ways to do this but they require a PC or a machine to write to USB/SD:
1) Use adb from the sdk to push your new ROM to the device over USB and then flash it; or
2) Use a USB drive or SD card if you have an adapter; or
3) Use ODIN to flash another (probably Stock) ROM onto the device (choice of last resort).
That said, there is probably a simple configuration issue since you say you are actually connected.
Is there anything of interest in the logcat or dmesg?

Go to Settings -> Storage -> (use menu "USB computer connection" at top right corner) -> check "Media device (MTP)"
that will give you access to tablet from PC

Incoming calls are not working yet on CM10. And it doesnt depend on your luck.
I think it's because kallt_kaffe have p7310. and now he don't really care about voice calls on p7300

I think asking him how you can help fix it, rather than making uninformed statements like this, would be a better way to approach the problem.
actually i don't know why people want activate the voice call on a (BIG) tab
now , i'm on the new build (10/30) and the wifi problem is gone

Don't get me wront. I do not think he don't care (or he dont want to), I meant he do not have enough time to play with voice calls on p7300. I know he is very busy now.
BTW: I was trying to contact him via private messages, but no response.

Hi guys, I seem to have this problem. I have a 7310 model 8.9 and I have the CWM 6.0.0.8 alternate because the other version simply rolled on my screen.
I have tried the CM10 30th October nightly (and a few others) and done a factory reset, wiped cache + dalvik and formatted /system before the installation of the ZIP.
The performance is extremely laggy and wifi does not turn on. I assume there is a lot of activity trying to turn wifi on causing the lag.
How can I help myself or help you help me? I'd love CM10 on this thing and have had much joy with other devices (Blade, Nexus S).
Thanks!

thanks- tried CM9, same lethargic experience.
Now to get from Honeycomb to ICS, I went the P7310UELA3 before taking the P7310UELPB images - all done with ODIN. No repartitioning as per the instructions.
Boot and response when booted in both CM9 and CM10 are terrible.
Is it worth using Kies to go back to UELA3 and then CWM to go CM9 or CM10?

[Q] Issue on CM 10.0 Wi-Fi (Not authenticating/obtaining ip adress)

Hi, sorry if there's already a topic about this specific issue, couldn't find any.
Now, as the title says, I'm having problem to connect on Wi-Fi network. I have a Galaxy S (GT-I9000B) running on CyanogenMod 10.0 (ICS 4.1.2) since 3 weeks.
Everything was fine when it started, 3 days ago. I can find the network but can't connect into it. It keeps looping on "Authenticating/Obtaining IP Adress".
Today morning I checked my phone and it was connected on Wi-Fi, so I thought the problem was solved, now it is not working anymore.
So far I tried: restarting; "forgetting" the wi-fi and connecting manually/by wps; wipe cache..
Anyone have an idea on how can I fix it?
Model Number: GT-I9000B
Baseband Version: I9000XXJVK
Kernel version: [email protected] #1
Thanks in advance

[Q] HTC One (2013) WiFi error - unresolved despite factory resets

Please help. This is the second time in 4 months my HTC One is having problems with WiFi. Out of the blue, the WiFi shows "error" or "turning on", briefly identifies near by wifi networks, but essentially doesn't connect to a network. The WiFi logo keeps flashing in the settings section, the On/Off is greyed out. Bluetooth is also affected.
I have done umpteen number of reboots, cache wipes and factory resets with no luck.
The first time I had this problem 4 months ago, it resolved by fluke after repeated factory resets!
This time, it's been a problem for more than 3 days.
The details of the phone are as below:
Android version: 4.4.3
HTC Sense version 6.0
Software number 6.07.1540.1
HTC SDK API level 6.25
Kernel version
3.4.10-g77e9ea0
[email protected]#1
SMP PREEMPT
Baseband version 4T.28.3218.04_10.33E.1718.01L
Build number 6.07.1540.1 CL356475 release-keys
Your wise advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.
