External/Outside Antena for Vogue w/ booster? - Touch CDMA Accessories

I am looking for an external antenna to attach to my Vogue (Sprint model that I am using on Verizon). I need one with a booster because I live out in the country and do not get very good signal (1 micro bar 1X, 1 bar EVDO if I'm lucky).
My biggest problem is not knowing what kind of connection the phone uses. I know its some kind of CNC connector, but I don't know what exactly its called (micro, mini, etc??). Any help in figuring out that detail would be great.
The phone is my primary source of internet and having a booster on the antenna would be extremely helpful. Anyone that could help me would be doing me a huge favor! A simple window booster is out of the question, I need a full blown antenna I can mount outside. I don't really want a overblown expensive digital repeater.

help with signal

i love my diamond and most places the signal is good, but in my house my signal is crap, if i get a call i have to go outside, i have tried a few differant radios but not much change, ive also brought one of those signal booster stickers of ebay but not sure where antenna is on diamond, my wife is on orange and her samsung gives good reception in our house. just wondering if anybody can help
well in the states verizon wireless has released network extendors that can connect to your broadband internet connection and broadcast cell signal, thou looks like your overseas so i'm not sure if any the gsm carriers have anythign like that, thou they do make cell phone boosters or amplifiers that would increase your signal
you said the other phone has good signal in same location, here you could grab that tower id and edit the prl with it or change home sid so that phone talks to it but at the risk of possible roaming charges depending on your carrier,
i'm guessing you have a gsm diamond? if so i think your version of PRL is called internernational roaming database or IRDB, not sure if it can be modified on the gsm side but might be worth looking in to unless you want buy cell booster ( good ones are usually $200us or more i've seen some over 1k but should get decent one for 200
you mentioned sticker antenna most the cheap ones i've seen are groundplanes that hide between the batter and phone, thou not sure that would be good spot, thou if your refuring to an actual antenna that use proimty to transfer signal instead of connection, the internal antenna on most phones is on the back at the top
thanks for your reply runkittyrun, ill look into your thoughts

anyone nexus gets only one bar or none at home?

hey guys, i just wonder if anyone gets only one bar or none at all when they're in their home. i it's a pain to text my friends when most of the times i'm unable to send it. anyone know how to fix this?
i love this phone, but it's really frustrating to use it like this. i don't think it's t-mobile's network because i've never had any problem with my sidekick or n97.
Just avoid covering the bottom of the phone in low signal areas. Your hand greatly attenuates the nexus antenna and blocks the signal on 3g.
lol it's like an iphone 4 then lol. do you think me changing it to (cdma only) has something to do with it too? i idon't know what i chose, but i put in the special numbers and it took to the menu where it shows you if you want to disable edge and only allow 3g.
yes. You want wcdma preferred, that way it defaults to standard gsm in low coverage areas.
what is the numbers for it again?

[Q] Can you boost your Antenna

When i say boost i mean physical make the antenna by adding to the phone's internals, i know the crappy sticker thing that goes behind the battery doesn't work and my phone seems to have the crazy problem of not picking up gsm but works fine on 3g and i just want to know if i can make my range better by using something to pick up signal better

need a stronger gsm signal

after i opened my phone to fix gps signal, i belive my signal from gsm its weaker.
any way to fix it?
those flexible contacts will break easily, one has already broken and I replaced it with one that had no other connection to external antenna.
pm me please
....
any idea?
please need any advice

G1 Reception/Signal Problem

I know for a fact that it isn't T Mobile's problem. I switched my sim card with a old sidekick and it got perfect reception. but when i put it in my G1 I get up to 3 bars. It NEVER goes to 4 bars. then it'd drop to 1, then it'll drop to no bars, and i get No Service, it would do this every 5 minutes. I tried updating the radio to 2.22.28.25.
there are a couple different radios for the g1, some will work better than others depending on location and other factors. the other problem could either be the antenna board or actually antenna itself. open it up and check the connections and see if there is anything obviously physically wrong with it. a new antenna is usually replaced as the whole back plate and the board is easy to remove if thats the problem. both cheap on ebay
on dial-up interface,input"*#*#4636#*#*" click phone Information, and change Type of network to GSM AUTO ,maybe better:P
