Flashing Tilt on Windows 7?

Hey guys,
I have been searching for about a week and I have not found the answer to this question. Sorry if this is a repost!!!
Does anyone know if it is possible to flash tilt with a new rom using windows 7?
I do know that I can use an SD card but prefer to flash it from a desktop "if possible"
Thanks,

Why wouldn't it be possible ?
Win & uses WMDC
I haven't seen any documentation on this so I am not sure what I need in order to set that up. Is there a reference or FAQ on how to do this? or what utilities I need?
just flash as usual... only thing change is they used to call activesync, but now it is windows mobile device center. i dont think you need any specific documentation...
Ah, no wonder I haven't found anything then. Nothing really has changed!!
Thanks for clearing it up for me.
Hmm I just tried flashing a rom and it told me that I needed a newer update utility. I searched the forum and didn't see anything. Any ideas where I can find a new KaiserCustomRUU.exe?
Moved as not ROM Development.
Regards new flashing utility there isn't one but the issue you mention has been covered before can't mem the fix.
Easiest way leave out comp and use SD.

1. are there devs still working on the x1 and android?
2. is it possible to run android as a primary..is there a chance?

I agree, also, how does it matter if its a ROM...what matters is that the phone heating/battery eating issue and Wifi...
In my case, i want the GPRS to be used for the weather..but that too isnt happening...i can use GPRS in the internet browser, but NOT in the weather update and Marketplace and app store....is there a way i can get this to work..
My understanding is that we cannot currently boot from NAND as there is no code to start the LCD panel, thus the need to start with HaRET.
A quick look in the the Blackstone forum suggests they won't do it until all functions (gps camera etc) are fully working.
in current state there is no point to run droid as primary system. battery runs out in few hours and functionality lefts much to be desired. do not let excitement to get you, first impression maybe good but whole thing is not so usable just jet. play whit it some days and you see it yourself.
well, camera and gps in android cannot work under most htc devices.so,if just for fun, these are not big problems.as for the heat,if in nand,it may not as hot as it is when all needed have to be found in sdcard, and probably faster.i think what is most important is that the chefs have had x10 and dont pay much attention to xperiod.
It seems that there is a WMKernel that is only 5MB large,If it works,Android may work in ROM,I ever tried to place and run it in rom,and finally failed because there will be a img file that contains files of Android will be storaged,a file about 256 MB ,For Orginall rom,The ROM space if not enough
howerver,I'll have hope about it

so basically itll load the windows kernel (to recognize all the hardware) and then straight away get into the android kernel THROUGH wm kernel without installing the full wm OS?
that seems almost perfect because we wouldnt have to rely on the SD card as much..as long as we can have a stable android build that doesnt destroy the battery
I think putting android on flash is real ROM and nothing else.
I can't see point in having ROM that will just run haret from SD card. Then i rather just have WinMobile and launch haret manually.

Topaz becomes HTC Legend

Hey Guys,
today I plugged in my Topaz in my computer as I wanted to synchronize all the stuff like e-mail and calender via the Windows Mobile Device Center and something very strange happened. My PC couldn't connect vie Active Sync and first I didn't know why. After restarting the device and the computer, nothing changed. After several restarts I got it. My computer thinks I got a HTC Legend!
The thing is: I use Android via HaRET and overall it works fine. Battery is very bad, but with OC it runs very smooth. I use all the updates from XDAnroid Thread, but with an system.ext2 which contains the Sense UI.
I don't know whether this is possible, but the use of android changed my Topaz into a Legend. I still cannot synch the device, also tried HTC Synch (just for fun), but that didn't go either.
Does anyone of you have the same problem? I read on a thread which schould collect harmful effects on your Windows Mobile device after using buggy Android. I thought nothing should go wrong if you launch it from sd-memory. But actually I got more Android than I wanted...
download pdanet it is for tethering, but it will install the drivers for your phone while your in android.
@ wavesshock
Go to boot-loader,plug the usb-cord into pc.Systemmanager will found an new device.
After that can you can sync again with mobile-device-center.

Thanks. But that didn't work, too. Even after several soft- and hard-resets my computer does not install the right driver... I also tried another computer - it still tries to download HTC Legend driver. Somehow a ROM Update does not work since that moment. I use stoch HTC 2.53.407 GER Rom, but I'm not able to run the update utility in one single instance. it needs several times to run (somehow)... Is there another way of getting everything back again? I mean: I like Android, but if it bricks my device... Why is my topaz behaving like that?
(ps. I got a topa100 (i think) it's o2-branded but i rooted it and installed the stock htc rom. updating hard-spl does not work, too. lol - there are so many thing not working anymore.)
The problem is solved! Got a new device trough my warranty! Now there're no problems neither with Windows Mobile, nor Android!

First: Yes - got a topaz again. It's not my main device, but I was glad to get a new one
Second: Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=768202
This is from LENINred and run's quite smooth. It's Eclaire, but nevertheless it looks awesome with all that HTC Sense stuff.

[Q] Help: How to Revert to Stock WP6.5?

Hey guys,
I've searched everywhere but there's no definitive guide to revert to stock from WP7. Pretty much, I tried out WP7 on my dad's HD2, but he didn't like it. So I need to revert it, but there's so much stuff to know that it all gets pretty intimidating.
Anyways,
HTC HD2 w/ Windows Phone 7 (Using aMAGLDR V1.12 - Build: Jan 12 2001, 21:09:22 - by Cotulla 2011 [this ONLY, no other mods present])
Trying to convert back to Windows Phone 6.5
Using Windows XP
Have d/led Windows Active Sync but it won't connect to the PC even when the USB is plugged in. (I'm guessing this is the reason why I can't revert to stock, it won't even connect to the PC)
I've also d/led the latest stock RUU_Leo_1_5_TMOUS_3.14.531.1_Radio_Signed_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_2_Ship from the forums.
It looks like I have all the resources but my PC won't even recognize the phone being connected to the computer. Must I do anything else besides attempting to flash the stock ROM?
Thanks A LOOOOTTTTT in advance!
I have the Exact same question anybody help please?
It might be you don't have the drivers installed that are needed, your antivirus could be preventing a connection, I had a similar problem where it seemed that it didn't recognize my phone uninstalled sync when into my bootloader it didn't seem to recognize my phone tasked 29 and it went through without a problem
::BUMP::
PLEASE someone help me out, this is getting soo frustrating, I switched to my laptop running Vista and it still won't recognize it.
I d/led Windows Mobile Device Center and it STILL won't work.
Please anyone.
Enter the bootloader screen then plug phone in and wait for it to say USB at the bottom then flash the stock rom from t-mobile

Do what he says in post above mine.
Or flash using SD-Card method!
Also read the MAGDLR thread dummy, there you also see how to revert back

I have a HTC HD2 T-Mobile LEO 1024. Model HTC Desire A8181.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Will SW upgrade lock my unlocked HD2 to T-Mobile??
Hi
My HD2 from Tmobile is unlocked & am using it in India.
It has SOFTWARE: OS :5.2.21889 (21889.5.0.87), Manila version:2.5.20121412.1
ROM Version :2.10.531.1 (82076) WWE
I am planning to upgrade the ROM to 3.14.531.1.
I read at forum that Post upgrade, my HD2 will default to factory settings. Does it mean that my phone will again be locked to T-mobile?
Pl confirm asap as I don't want a locked phone
Thanks...

[Q] DFT Mango Roms aren't unlocked

hi there,
I've tried some DFT Mango versions (7713, 7714) on my HSPL HD7 and they're both working great. Altough they're listed as unlocked, I can't install homebrew Apps. Error notifications like Tom XAP Installer's "Please make sure your phone was unlocked!" appear
There are a plenty of comments confirming the functionality of those Rom's, but in my case it doesn't work. Anyone out there having the same issues (and solutions) ?

The roms are unlocked. Try using Xapdeployx or Application deployment(Windows phone developer tools) for sideloading apps. Tom's xap installer no longer works with mango roms
Thank you for your answer
I've tried Xapdeployx and Application deployment, but they both tell me, my phone is locked. I'll look that up, too, but perhaps you can help me one more time?
I worked it out now. I downgraded from 7714 to 7713 again and tried XAPDeployX once more. Fortunately, it installs all my apps without any error thanks

How hard is it to install the custom Rom on HD7S? I'm kind of worried with all this hspl rspl stuff I don't really get it! Can someone make a video or maybe a clearer right up? Also does the rom have wifi tether or eve usb tether?
Rom is unlocked, you have to update zune to version 4.8, after that you will be able to install apps

I've HSPL'd my HD7S but as far as I know there are no custom roms out there for the HD7S... am hoping someone will try before I risk anything!
Whats the point of HSPL the HD7S? Will this hinder you from receiving the official mango update on 9/23?

I was hoping that someone would cook a Mango ROM that is unlocked... but so far no dice.
My device is running Mango per the update thread that is knocking around... via Zune 4.8 beta etc rather than flashing a new ROM.
