Here is a first beta version of Advanced Config. for WP7 There are not a lot of tweaks at the moment, as I was busy with WP Device Manager I did not implement all the functionalities and tweaks yet, but I decided to release it because there are cool features like theme customization which may interest some of you.
This first version is compatible with HTC devices only.
Experienced users can manually test new registry tweaks with Advanced Config. Let me know if you find some interesting tweaks to add.

I was wondering the same thing... it would probably be a better idea to just link to where schaps posted it. Credit should be given to schaps, too... I think people are getting the idea that the op is involved with development.

Well firstly no I didnt as I didnt know who schaps was or that he was a dev here. Second I put in by brackets that it was by TouchXperience, at no point did I lay claim to it so if people got impression I was dev then its down to them.
Anyway I've edited it with dev and homepage now so that should curtail the confusion if there was any.

It's great to see that schaps is developing for wp7. He is a great developer. His new Windows Phone Device Manager looks like it will be great... it will take away the need for chevron. If you guys like this app, go to his website at www.touchxperience.com and check out all his work... maybe donate to support his development. Schaps is also the developer of touchxplorer which all of us use on wp7.
For newer members of xda who don't know of schaps, he was an important developer for the winmo community here, but hasn't been too close to the scene here for the last year or 2. From the looks of it he will be just as important to wp7 development, so lets support him so he can help the wp7 community do great things.

This is common and not related to this program.
You need to unlock your phone again because you didnt unlock it properly in first place. You also need to do reg hack so it doesnt re-lock.
There is also a version of chevron that doenst have a 10 app deploy limit.
Unlock using this guide..

(When you have deployed XBMODeployer to phone remember to run it on phone manually, unless you use TOMS deployer which will automatically run it once deployed. This is where most people f*ck up and end up getting relocked.)

Im not sure if the ones on XDA are the ones with limit or not but this is the one I used and havent had any limit on app deployment.
Hi, if I create an new theme for #000000 I do get a nice gray brown not black theme. After that I can no longer use Internet Explorer crashes constantly from. Why?

Well why did Julien Schapman not release it on XDA? Well the copy is for the REAL WP7 and not for the LEO7/wp7 copy, so that proably why it has never been posted. But I am lead to believe that it could crash you Leo7/wp7 mobile, so dont download and use until this has been confirmed by the Dev himself.
He has been informed about this, so will wait for his reply about using the Real WP7 copy

Still trying to find a way around the 50mb nbh limit and a way to make our Heralds accept smaller extROMs and thus give up more free storage space.

btw, FtouchFlo is there so if people ant to use slithers cube so you might wanna add that.
also, can you tell me what apps take up alot of memory cuz i only have a few installed and my program memory is WAYY low compared to open touch which had alot more programs

As far as too much memory, did you change the pagepool? MyFav and FTouchFlo are pretty hefty.
This Is the best rom i used on my wing and i have tried every Windows Mobile 6.1 rom in this forum .. the only problem i have is that i wish it was UC complaint. i don't even have to overclock for this rom to be fast . and my music doesn't stop no more when im texting and i open the screen . keep up the good work
and for your next release can you add network wizard i dont see it in the connections folder . and its a pain to re enter all the t-mobile stuff
and can u have opera mini pre installed and not to be a pain or anything but can you add the Ftouchflo config to the tools folder by default

the only stanard tmobile goody i left was myfaves but might make another withut it because of program memory issues.
everything else is like the touch.

Beta 2 fixed this, but I haven't uploaded it, yet. I'm cleaning up some things in it. I've added quite a few more packages, too...

This is a full blown WM6.1 ROM. Cooked in my kitchen. Just give it a try and see if you like it. There are a few other ROMs you can try, too, or you can just make your own version in my EasyBakeOven (see sig.)

The look and design, from what I can assume, is only outside the programs you use...like if I roll over to programs and explorer, the traditional explorer opens up...is this correct? How is it for performance with this new look? What devices did you test it on? Can it work on the (Bell) HTC Touch?

Well.. the whole thing is on WAD2 and Mortscripts are used for the inbuilt music controller dock.. no need of downloading any files separately everything is included in the zip ^_^ just read the readme document..

Yeah, I just edited my post as I had just noticed WAD2 - d'oh! Too many program names are acronyms nowadays.
Well, I might be learning some .NET programming for WM6 soon, but certainly not enough to produce such a behemoth of a UI. It's pretty innovative. Reminds me of the iPod click wheel actually.

I don't have an unlimited data plan, so I was quite frustrated to see that my G1 was consuming lots of megabytes in the background (also draining battery too fast).
To solve this problem, I wrote this iptables front-end to block undesired applications from accessing the network.
DroidWall - Android Firewall is a front-end application for the powerful iptables Linux firewall. It allows you to restrict which applications are permitted to access your data networks.
This is the perfect solution if you don't have an unlimited data plan, or just wants to see your battery lasting longer.

On the top righthand side of you post you will see a triangle with a exclimation mark. Click it and ask a mod to move your thread to the appropriate forum.
If I ever have to drop my unlimetd plan I will be looking for a program like yours. Keep it updated and good luck

I'm not sure why it won't install on Cyanogen. The only restriction for the application is android:minSdkVersion="3".
If anyone gimme a clue on this I'll surely modify it.
To the dev, if you don't have a market account I will gladly upload it using mine. Of course it would be as a free app (DUH! lol). I have an account that I don't use from buying my ADP1. Just mail me @ (email removed, author already mailed me) if you want it.

Droid Wall is white-list based, so you have to select the applications that you want to unblock, not the ones you want to block.
E.g.: to allow only the browser to access the internet, mark it and the click on "Apply rules".
Please let me know if it works on Hero since I have no oportunity to test it.

OH okay i will try this again thats going to be kinda Important you should put that on the OP and i will gladly test this on hero any way to save battery is great for me
You talk about this as blocking ONLY data on the cell networks and NOT on wifi.
I suggest that it would also be good to be able to configure blockages on the wifi network, e.g. for semi-untrusted apps -- i.e. ones that want to communicate with homebase even though they work fine without it or ones that want to load ads.

I have tried a LOT of the ROMs here over the past month. I've only been using this one for an hour or so now, but I will say this - IT IS BY FAR THE FASTEST ROM I have used thus far. My device is snappier than the day I bough it from T-Mobile. I will advise if I run into any bugs. Thus far, I've found none.

Apparently there has to be some sort of registration before we can download. Isn't this getting kinda redundant. You have to register on XDA to view the txt then u have register on another site to download the rom.. Just my personal opinion
Same here. Unless we need to register but if thats the case then i will not try it sorry but if everyone keeps on doing that we all have like 10 different acounts in 10 different sites to go. That makes no sense since all roms are posted here and then linked to other sites.

Nice ROM, pretty good speed and aesthetics. I changed the Start menu back to the 6.5 menu, but that's my personal preference.
A small request - is there a way to turn off the current 'task manager' where it puts the icons near the start menu icon? I'd like to just use the standard Task Manager.

How did u change the start menu back to 6.5? I cant find the option to do that?
Also wifi does not auto start after reset. Have to be turn on manually

I used your Rom on the Kaiser and it was superb! Great to see your contributing to Rhodium, however I've registered onto your site, and I too cant find a download link, do I have to contribute or pay for a link?

Hay guys so I thought up this program and asked winco to develop it & he just sent me the first beta test app I was amased at his work but he did'nt quite grasp the consept so hear we make an offical thread for wCabSender.exe Development
this app is WIP expect first beta previews sometime tonight I have consept previews for winco & beta previews from him to show but im walking out the door right now and wont be back untill 10.00 est or when i get home!
anyway i wanted to get this show on the road as we are both multitasking like crazy & our project needs to be developed under your viewings so that you may offer your sugjestions!
this shoud be quite a nifty little app that is more of a cab mannager than just a cab sender & hopefully we will have some very new cool options and standerd .wp7cabsender commands and more all with a new gui!

sory I had to work late but anyway I had to update my phone with a cab & snap a pic to make my consept picture for winco!
when i first thought of this program i was thinking it would only be for bttfv2
but now i dont think thats the case at all!
because im only one guy with one phone running one os and i have only one brean and my knolage relise on art however i have ben lucky enuf that i have found winco to code this program for us!
the phone i have is htc hd2 i have only had it 3 weeks and i bought it just so i could use bttfv2 i can run alot of os's anyway! i like wp7 and am working to inprove it just like meny others on the site anyhow winco is a coder and we are working together artest / coder to bring you guys a new application!
but now I have relized a cab sender would be usefull for all types of os's and phones rangeing from android, wp6.5,wp7.5
this was just the consept in my head at the time I came up with the idia for the app it wont look anythang like my picture at all. the picture was made in mspaint purly for winco and is not a program however wincos pictures are of a beta of the program!
so basicly what i think would be very usefull is to beable to add & remove your shortcuts in settings menu {add shortcut} /{remove shortcut}
short cut pointing to sertin cab directory!
example!
option add new shortcut! [...]
shortcut 1[...]c:/cabs
shortcut 2[...]c:/users/desktop
shortcut 3[...]whatever
this would remove the huge hastle of haveing multiple copys of
WP7 CAB SENDER all over the place on your computer!
so hear is my first consept picture for winco to better grasp my thoughts!
& also winco once we have the final size layout of the application i will make your art! but first i need to know what size? and im expecting that will change idk?

nothing you see art or codeing is final in anyway shape or form this project has just gotten underway!

i am very happy to report that the project is well underway
we now are experementing with themeing the application and i have also a refrence chart for wp7 spects however hd2 , radar, and titen htc phones & the 3 new nokia phones are not included atm if someone could post that info hear for the 6 new phones that would be good as so i could update the chart!
This new beta I was sent simply for the graphic disine is not yet ready for public.
However im happy to report that thare are new fetures now included & the program is basicly all going to be automated & aslo hopefully give more detale about custom updates for your phone with discription & pictures
god knows what custom updat someone might want to make!
thare can be new icon packs task bar mods or backrounds, ringtones the posibilitys are endless! and hear hopefully you will see all that hard work come together I am so happy that I had the idia for this app & winco for making it with teh help of xbmod and everyone thats helped & made or is making custom updates & this stuff posible for our wp7os thank you so much! & this has allredy turned out to be much more that I had hoped for yet I see so much more we can do with this app now!

well because i dont have the spects and because i have not updated with the isv beta clean up to know what teh battery life inprovement is yet?
and for a couple other resons the picure can be updated through a web server winco is making
anyway just came back to post some updates on teh art work i did nothing is final yet we are still woking hard on this and we both are multitaking with our owen projects as well!
apperently photobucket hates one of my photos o well im a wp7 zombie!
